[PP-F1] Training Session (Macradon)

Recommended Posts

Comet yawned. It was early in the morning and he had overslept. Indeed, today, he wanted to have some combat training. Indeed, he had experienced a bit of combat with boars that he could one-shot but those were the easiest mobs to kill and the mobs in the future would definitely be a lot harder. Hence, if he could have some training early on during his leveling peak, he will be an experienced player when he faces mobs such as ogres and skeletons that he had heard about around town when players boast about their experiences. One day, he'd like to be just like them... Fighting tough mobs on the front lines and fighting very hard to free those that he cared most about.  Talking about caring about... What happened to her? Comet asked himself, knowing that no answer would come to him. Sure, Comet hadn't been able to find his childhood friend, but he knew fully well that the girl was still alive. Indeed, he could feel it... He could feel that the girl was living. With a sigh, he stood up from the bed that he had used from a cheap inn before walking out of the door and looking around. Nothing seemed to get his attention outside the inn.  I wonder if Macradon is available... He might be willing to teach me a bit about combat. He sure is an experienced person... Heck, he makes weapons! Comet thought as he charged forward with a new-found energy that had somehow managed to appear out of nowhere for his body. Soon, he arrived at the white-haired man's shop and with a grin, Comet opened the door and looked around to check where Macradon was. "Macradon? Macradon! Are you awake yet? I'd like some training if you can."

Macradon was sitting in his leaning chair in his shop behind the counter. He was rocking back and forth in the chair with his arms behind his head. He was relaxing quite a bit today. Not much had been happening, not too many request was given to him. He would take in the peace of his shop for now and just close his eyes for a second or two. Suddenly someone came into his shop. The door opened and Macradon snuck up a glance over his desk from his leaning position. He wasn't able to spot anything, but his door still opened. He would push the button that would make his chair sit up straight again. As he would be able to sit straight in his chair he would be able to see Comet standing there in the door. Macradon was wearing his casual clothing for his shop. His robes over his normal clothing. He stood up and heard the question asked by Comet. "Uhm ..." Macradon muttered as he thought about it "Why not?" he said with a smirk and wink and the little boy. "I'll be getting my gear and you can show me where you want to train!" Macradon said as he would get over to the door leading down into his smithy. He would find his armor and his other clothes and change. His dark grey shirt and pants with a maille shirt over. On top of the maille was a half plate armor in the red and white color scheme of the Knights of Blood Oath. On his forearm were a pair of vambraces, also in the same color scheme. On his back was the sword, Crusader MKII, his newest sword. On his legs were his Poleyn and his demigreaves. He was all clad and ready. He would walk back up the stairs with his armor making that noise armor usually did when metal clashed against metal. He would exit the door and stand in his shop again, fully clad in his guild uniform. "I'm ready, shall we go?" he asked with a smile.

Comet yawned as the man went ahead to equip his armor. Honestly, Comet didn't even think the man would have a need for such good armor when fighting the boars that he had wanted to fight. Indeed, Comet wanted to fight with boars that were weak so he wouldn't face the risk of death. However, Macradon was probably way decked out in his stats and hence, Comet thought the man had no need for armor. Either way, it was better to be safe than sorry and the man's armor was quite boss to Comet. Soon, as Macradon was getting ready and finally got ready, Comet began to speak. "Wow! That armor is super boss!" Comet exclaimed, excited at the decked out man's accompaniment of his battle training. "Honestly, I think I would only be able to fight really weak boars unless you fight with me. I think we should just get out there and fight some weak boars that are just outside the safe zones. Of course, unless they were all taken by other players already." Comet said, beginning to walk out of the man's shop, expecting him to follow. Soon, Comet arrived at the gate of the safe town. He could see the outside very clearly. Indeed, he had been out there once... Once for material gathering and to one-shot some boars with his new sword that he had obtained with Macradon. However, those were level 1 boars that held absolutely no significance in proving his skills. With a sigh, Comet stared out at the river that moved smoothly across the land and at the trees that danced to the brilliant wind that accompanied them. "It looks really nice out there...." Comet said to Macradon, admiring the early scenery. "Well! Let's head out now! I can't wait to fight some boars."

Macradon would smile at the statement. Sure Macradon's outfit was awesome, but it wasn't because he was expecting anything out in the fields. "Thanks a lot" he said wit ha smile towards Comet, saying that his armor was boss. It was true that Macradon wouldn't need his armor if they were to fight some boars on the fields, but it was his uniform and he had joined the Knights of the Blood oath, so he was somewhat supposed to wear it whenever he was out on the fields. "I think we'll just stay at the weak boars for now so that you would be able to handle it." he said, agreeing for Comet to train on the weak boars on the floor. Macradon would follow out of his shop with Comet, locking the door behind him as he wouldn't be home to look after it at the moment. The two of them would approach the gates that would leave the safe zones and into the wild fields. Macradon would notice that Comet was not aiming for the lowest level boars, of course not, he was aiming for something a bit tougher than those.  Macradon would smile at Comet's energy that he portrayed with all the hype he displayed. Comet was all out for the training and Macradon would go with him. "Yeah, let's go" he said.

It was then that Comet pointed his pointing finger on his chin in a thinking motion. He figured that it would be quite a waste of time if they were to find boars and kill them only to obtain absolutely no loot. If he was to find such weak boars, there was no point even though he was a weakling. Indeed, he wanted to obtain loot both for himself and for Macradon and the only way of doing that was for the man to fight a boar that was about the same health or half of the man's health. Indeed, this game was very fast-paced and hence, wasting energy on this that mattered not was just completely pointless and absurd. This game was focused on the random number system and because of this, there really isn't "training". "Hey Macradon, I figured that it would probably be a waste of time if we fought weak boars... Those wouldn't be anything that can give us loot. I think we can fight tougher mobs that can give us loot. How about it? With you here, I shouldn't be in any trouble right?" Comet asked, willing to get out there and venture out more of this mysterious yet intriguing world where mobs and players fight against each other for one goal... To escape this world of death and return back to the real world.

Macradon looked down onto the boy, it was true. Comet felt like Macradon would waste his time training him this way, even though it was true, Macradon wouldn't really mind. The only monsters on this floor that could harm him were the rare giga boars. They weren't strong, just a base 3 damage like usual, but their true strength laid in their ability to tank attacks from newer players. With its whopping health and mitigation, no one would be able to kill it on this floor if they weren't high leveled as Macradon. He would point towards a giga boar, even though it was rare, the floor was large enough for one to spawn nearly always. "That right there, that's probably the only one that would be a challenge, maybe, for me" he said. "Though I wont recommend you going up against it, it's pretty fierce for a field mob" he said. Macradon would draw his sword end get ready to fight. He would probably need to engage first and draw its attention before Comet were to come near it without dying. "What do you say? You wanna fight it?" he asked with a smug grin.

Comet watched the boar as it trudged along fiercely. It seemed to have a massive amount of health compared to Comet. Indeed, Comet's health was puny compared to the mob's health and it's red eyes glared at the two players with absolute anger and power. If Comet was to come across such a powerful boar on his own, there was no doubt that he wouldn't be able to last more than two turns. However, this time, he had Macradon by his side and Comet was well aware of the hate system. As long as Macradon had more hits on the boar, he would have more hate on him and hence, Comet shouldn't be in any type of danger. Comet smiled, not really afraid of such a big boar but was rather excited that he would be able to fight a good boar that might pose a challenge and would be a difference to the boars that he fought which were level 1. With a sigh, Comet looked over at Macradon and began to speak. "I think I can handle it as long as you're here! I'll attack after you, I guess." Comet said, steadying his pose and preparing his new dagger by clutching it tightly.

Macradon would nod his head at Comet when he would engage into battle. Macradon didn't want to kill the boar in one go and would let comet get some hits at it before he would kill it. Macradon would take his sword out of its sheathe on hold both hands on the handle and bring his sword over his left shoulder, having the big pommel pointing at the boar. "Let's go!" he said as he got into stance and ran forward with his <Charge> skill, rushing forward in a quick speed. He got closer and closer, finally in range to finish his sword art. He would slam the pommel with both his hands into the head of the boar, knocking it out fora brief moment, making it dizzy from the bludgeon towards its head. "Your turn!" Macradon shouted as the big boar had an opening for comet to attack.

Comet watched as the white-haired man was able to strike down the mob's health in no time. He had managed to pretty much strike down the mob and one more hit would be enough to kill it. Aw... That's no fun... Comet thought, disappointed that he probably wouldn't get much action if he was to miss this one. Still, this only made Comet more determined to strike the mob. He was sure the mob was unable to one-shot him even if he was level 2 and really didn't have much health. But, one must not eliminate the chance of an impossible from happening because the impossible was never truly impossible but only believed to be impossible. Comet clutched his one-handed dagger with a face full of determination. He was going to strike the mob with a powerful attack and he was sure that he could deal just a tiny bit of damage to this mob and maybe he could brag to some other younger players of the fact that he had stricken a tough mob. With a deep breath, he charged forward with a fierce but childish roar that sounded just like it should of... That's right. A high pitched scream of a young boy.

Comet grinned when he had managed to hit the stunned boar. He knew that the mob couldn't hit him back and took advantage of this. After retreating to Macradon, Comet began to speak. "Geez... That only dealt one damage? That mob has some real tough skin if you ask me." Comet said, putting emphasis on the word, "real".

Macradon would see that Comet really didn't do much damage to the boar, just as he had guessed. Macradon was way out of Comet's league of fighting capabilities, so fighting something as low as this boar was still too much for Comet to handle. Macradon wouldn't want comet to get hurt at all from this, so he had to do something. As the boar would try to get around Macradon and towards Comet, Macradon would quickly respond with a quick thrust into the boar. His sword would glow as he thrust forward, dealing just a bit of damage, but only to take its attention away from Comet. "Well, it is a giga boar after all" he said with a giggle and would keep the hate, trying to get it as high as possible for him to tank the attacks.

(You didn't need to roll MD but you rolled so I'll just not roll I guess xD)

Comet sighed, grasping his dagger tightly in hopes of dealing a bit of damage this time as well. Even though Comet is a little kid, he is still able to do simple calculations and in all honesty, the game only required simple calculations that Comet needed to complete. Comet sighed yet again and took a deep breath. He was well aware that his fighting abilities were not good at all. He had been afraid of damaging the boar because if he did indeed strike the boar, the hate would affect him and hence, he would probably become the target of the boar. Indeed, he had learned about this from rumors in the town. At first, he had no understanding of how aggro worked in this game and now he was quite aware. Of course, Comet needed only to deal damage as a damage dealer and required not to worry about the aggro system as he is sure there are other classes out there that can do that.  Tarnks? Tonks? Something like that. Comet thought and soon directed his mind to the current situation once more. "Let's see if I can deal damage again. Won't be enough to kill it, though." Comet said and charged forward.

Comet had been so busy staring at the mob and missed a rock that was directly in front of him. With a gasp, he fell to the ground with a loud thump noise and fell right to the ground as he tripped on the rock. With a laugh, he rolled around and rubbed his head in pain. "Geez, I need to be careful of that..."

[Isn't it the one spawning the mob who rolls for it? .-.]

Macradon would see Comet advance towards the boar, but trip on some rocks on the way. Macradon would sigh as he saw the boar rush towards the fallen enemy. Macradon would do his fastest movement to jump in in front of the boar and stand in its way to stop it from reaching Comet. Macradon would be charged right at, but because of his armor he would stay nearly unharmed. He would brush off the damage but was not able to do anything himself. The boar was a lot health, so Macradon would prepare to poke it to death for Comet to take the killing blow from it.

Comet jumped up as he saw Macradon was hit and even though the man's health had declined to almost nothing. Still, a hit is a hit... he wasn't even sure if the pain in this game was a thing. "Are you okay?" Comet asked in consideration, wondering if the man had been damaged by the attack in any way. Still, he would have to attack yet again. The boar had little health left but no matter how much basic attacks Comet used on it, he would be unable to deal much damage to it. It was impossible for Comet to deal more than one damage upon this boar without using sword arts and Comet with his two maximum energy didn't exactly have a lot of sword arts available to him. With a deep sigh, he charged forward, willing to deal one more damage to this boar. Indeed, Comet had been able to strike the boar. He was doing well for a beginner... However, the critical that he inflicted was only harmful to him and there was no benefit because the boar's mitigation was way too high and as a result, he dealt one damage with more hate on him. "Geez... Come on Macradon! You can do it! It only has a few health left!" Comet shouted.

Comet was drawing too much aggro for Macradon to take care of. He was in serious need of Fighting Spirit if he wanted to help lower leveled players like this. Macradon was not fast enough to react and stop the boar from reaching Comet. Macradon would run after it, having his vambraces recovering his energy on the way, even though it wasn't what he needed. Macradon was too slow, even though Comet could take one hit, maybe two, it was still not good for the boy to get hit by anything. He tried, but wasn't able to get in front of the boar to grab its attention. "Dammit" he thought.

Comet could see the boar coming at him from miles away. However, his body seemed to have frozen in fear and anticipation. By the end of the attack, Comet had no time and instead of jumping to either side, he embraced and prepared his body for the impact. Comet was struck dead on and he had fallen to the ground. Macradon was not dealing damage and Comet was taking damage. Two more hits and Comet would probably be sent away from this world. Comet stood up, gasping and grunting as he picked up his fallen sword. "That wasn't even painful." Comet said, trying to remain calm. "I got this." With that, Comet charged forward, his sword held high in the sky. Once again, Comet had been able to strike a second degree critical. However, just like last time, the attack had done absolute no damage and Comet only wanted to become stronger and stronger.

Macradon would rush over to the boar and grab it by its tusks to keep it in place. He wouldn't be fast enough to do anything with his sword so pinning it down like this was the only thing he was capable off right now. Keeping the boar away from Comet was his priority. He would struggle but his strength overpowered the boar as he would keep it down by the tusks. "Now comet, hit it again and again!" he said, holding down the boar for Comet to hit. Macradon would keep all his focus on holding the boar down and not think too much about anything else.

Comet sighed. It seemed like Macradon was telling him to attack once and once again, slowly grinding the mob's health down. Comet smirked as he had already landed two important hits on the mob. Even though they were almost no damage, it was still critical hits and that was what mattered. His damage would increase as time progresses and at the moment, the amount of damage he completes holds no importance... However, this would act as good training. Even if Comet was to do absolutely nothing during his attacks. He needed Macradon to land a final hit and kill the mob off in case he would be hit once again and taken to a very dangerous point. For now, he will continue to land hits after hits to improve his sword skills. "Alright." Comet said, keeping his calm and beginning to move forward. Right before he began to run, he tripped on the same rock that he tripped a few turns ago. "Geez! How annoying." Comet complained, kicking the rock to the side so it wouldn't bother him again.

Macradon saw comet yet again fail an attack at the boar, but Macradon's strength was still overpowering the big boar, still pinning it down. Macradon was in no condition of getting more hate than comet, so letting the boar go would only end in Comet being hurt. Macradon would keep the boar down and let Comet take the boar down eventually when he did enough damage. It seemed like Comet only had to hit it 3 times more to kill it, if only Macradon would be able to pin it down for the time being.

Comet sighed. The man was still holding onto the boar so that Comet could slowly, slowly kill the boar with his own muscular strength. Indeed, even though Comet was landing several hits, the attacks had been worthless in terms of damage and was making little progress. There was no telling when Comet would be able to kill the boar and for how long Macradon could continue to hold off the boar in order to prevent damage to Comet. If Macradon loses his strength, the boar would be able to strike him and hence, Comet would once again take damage and if that happens, his health would be taken to a fatal point that he would prefer not to be in. Comet took a deep breath and watched the still boar before charging forward and striking him dead-on. It was a good attack and a landed attack. However, once again, Comet was unable to deal any damage that showed value. "Alright then...." Comet said, disappointed at the lack of damage that he currently possesses.

It was good seeing that Comet would be able to actually damage the boar, probably also getting it down with the killing blow. The items it could yield would be fantastic for Comet for a first time big kill. The wild game like this one was extremely tricky for someone in the same level as Comet, and it would be a mighty trophy if it dropped anything of use. Macradon kept on having it pinned down. Macradon's strength as well as the weight of his armor was overpowering the boar, making it useless for it to even try to move. This was a good opportunity to get some hits on the boar while it was wide open.
