About: History/personality

At childhood, Rin was a problem child. Random bursts of energy and rage, tantrums, cursing, everything you could imagine that a kid shouldn't be doing. Wherever she goes trouble would brew. She remembered it vividly; the day she got a man arrested. An incredible feat for a thirteen year old, but an effortless task for Rin. It all happened when an unsuspecting adult male tried to 'rape' her; yes, you heard that right, 'rape' her. On a promising day at the mall, she went to go take a quick bathroom break when it hit her. An idea to switch the male and female bathroom signs and see what happened. And so she sat on the toilet, waiting... and waiting... until finally someone came in! But let's get back on topic now shall we? At age fifteen she was very popular, and achieved top grades in all her classes. The stereotypical 'model student' is what you'd call her, but she was more than that. Behind that mask was the next big innovator in the world (or so we'd hope). School was too easy, and she lacked excitement. The next day, her friends began to tell her about this amazing VRMMO called 'Sword Art Online.' She decided to give it a try, and now look at her! A newbie in the floating castle of Aincrad.
Virtues:

Quick-Minded - If you insult her once, she'll insult you twice, and usually you'll end up being laughed at by your friends. A quick-witted girl with great skill with words. The scariest thing, is that you never know what she'll say next. Such a person is unpredictable in speech. There was once a school spelling bee (yes, how childish) and she won it. It wasn't because she read the dictionary, it was because of her quick mind and wits.

Blunt - She prefers not to lie as it seems unnecessary to her. Getting to the point is very vital as when she asks a question, she expects you to give her an answer immediately. There is little to no room for added chit-chat, especially chatter involving emotions. The only conversation she normally allows, is with her friends or when she's getting information. Strangely however, she can be social when she wants to (and normally is).

Brave - With a risky lifestyle comes bravery, and with bravery comes risks. Whenever there's a lottery, there's Rin in the background. Everything a cowardly person wouldn't do, Rin would, she has bigger balls than most men, and jumps into things without even thinking. This can be positive when she's working on a project, but otherwise, it's unhealthy, and could eventually kill her in the world of SAO.

Understanding - Although not much of a feeler, she can understand anyone's emotional pain by simulating it in her brain. People go to her for emotional support, which she can give them. However, she herself cannot support for her own emotions, resulting in her avoiding them with stimulating experience which brings her to the world of SAO...

Flaws:

Impatient - She hates waiting, and is a 'live in the now' kind of person. Going with the flow is her main mode of dealing with life. Tell her to wait two hours, she'll rush out the door, tell her to wait a minute, she'll punch you in the gut. Her impatience extends to people; if you talk to her about a ridiculously stupid thing (something like practical manners, math, essays, sentence-structure and stuff) she'll walk away and give you the finger.

Insensitive - At a young age she witnessed a murder at a train station, but surprisingly she didn't shriek or cry at all. She stared at the body and the pool of blood oozing from it with a cold expression and asked her mom, "Mommy, don't you think the red is pretty?" After that, her mother put her in a mental hospital for three days, and when she came back the doctors told her "Your daughter is fine, she's just got a big brain."

Risky - Everywhere she goes, she tends to put herself in risky situations. Everyone questions her about why she does things like that, and she tells them "Because if I play too cautiously, I'm not really living life." There are no plans, and she jumps into situations head on without looking back. Of course, this doesn't always work, but it does most of the time.

Defiant - Her biggest fear is being violated or controlled by others. She is her own person, and would like to stay that way. Any attempt to control her rarely slips through, her strong-will, or 'Rebelliousness' keeps her the same fun-loving person she is today. To her, rebellion is the key to a healthy (RISKY!) life, and it sure does make it enjoyable for her (We hope).

Aggressive - Her first response to a stressful situation is anger shown by forceful movement and a louder voice. This can sometimes lead to destruction of property, people, or injury of others. Oftentimes being grounded for breaking vases on purpose or destroying the floorboards. She creates a mood of chaos for authority, and a calming presence for people around her age. Sadly, when she is fixated on a certain situation, it feels like death to just be around her...
