[PP-F4] A Coffee Shop Stop (Jevi)

Recommended Posts

Teselmar inhaled the warm aroma of coffee as he began making the first cup of the day. His shop, The White Stag Cafe and Gallery, was the premiere hangout spot for adventurers and artists alike to kick up their feet and relax. Hand crafted pieces and accessories were displayed in various cases, as well as paintings and sketches that hung on every wall. Starglade was a peaceful town, a bit out of the way. This meant that people who were focused on nothing but grinding for levels and fighting all of the time would probably pass the village by. They'd be missing out, as stopping into the blonde man's shop meant a chance at purchasing some enhanced equipment, or simply enjoying a pleasant cup of coffee.

He wiped down his counter, making sure that any customers who came in would see a nice store front. It was going to be a beautiful day today, judging by the early morning sun glinting off the light snowfall outside.

~"D-Dammit.. It's c-cold."

The girl shivered as she trudged through the thick snow located in the outskirts of Snowfrost. The snow was always higher here than it was throughout the town, probably from lack of constant traffic. She pulled the tan, ragged scarf that huddled around her neck up slightly so it could protect her frozen face from the blistering winds. As the girl got closer and closer to the town, she felt the winds slow, making her trip all that much easier..but she still was freezing. She needed something to warm her up.. a comfortable place and a hot drink maybe. After a short walk more, she stumbled upon a modernized looking shop called The White Stag, Gallery and Cafe. This was probably a better place than any. She opened the door and looked inside. The inside was just as interesting and modern as the outside, but the most important part that made her stay; the smell of coffee. ~"..Hello?" she called out as she brushed the snow off of her shoulders.

Teselmar was in the back of the cafe straightening a table, when he heard the faint ring of the bell on his door. Looks like I have my first customer of the day... He called out from around the corner, "Come on in, we're open!" He rounded the table, crossing to the counter as the girl entered his shop. Purple hair stood out in an environment like this one, and the unique sight was familiar to the tall, blonde man.

Teselmar leaned on the counter and raised an eyebrow. "Hey there. You were at the Guild meeting, weren't you?"

The girl froze in her scanning of the building when she heard a man's voice reply to her, inviting her into his shop. From the muffled softness of his voice, he must have been on the other end of the building when Jevi entered. After kicking the snow off of her boots, the girl took one step forward into the warm shop. Her body slowly began to feel warmer, starting from the parts of her body that were not as cold, like her legs and feet bound in armor as well as clothing, and moving upwards towards her torso arms and head. The smell of the hot coffee was definitely a help in warming the girl up as well.

It did not take very long for the blonde man to turn around to corner to meet her, and she instantly recognized the familiar face.. From the look in his eyes, he recognized her as well. ~"Yeah I was, I was just about to say the same thing." she said with a smirk, crossing her arms and shifting her weight to one leg.

Teselmar grinned, gesturing for her to come closer as he took in her appearance. Her skin was a dark contrast against the snowy white that shone through the windows, and her hair color was unmistakably unique. White and red apparel would have told him that she was a member of the Knights of the Blood Oath even if he hadn't been there on that day, and though she shivered, she looked confident.

He poured a steaming stream of coffee into a mug, and set it on the countertop as he beckoned her to approach. "Guild members drink for free here. So," he said as he put a container of cream and a sugar dish in front of her, "What's your name? Fairly certain I've seen you out and about with that Grave guy before." Grave had entered his coffee shop just the other day, and Teselmar could have sworn that the purplette's name had come up, but he wanted to be sure.

Jevi could not help by smile as she saw the man place a mug on the counter, filled with hot brew that would warm her belly. She nodded at his gesture for her to approach and did so. She shimmed her way around a stool and sat down. Before taking the cup in her hands, she lifted her left hand up to open her inventory box, the soft sound of bells chiming with every movement she made at the menu. After a moment of tapping buttons and eyes shifting back and forth, the gauntlet on her right hand disappeared in a flash of white light, leaving both of her hands bare. She then closed the menu and wrapped her fingers around the cup, feeling the warmth that seeped through ~"Thank you." She took the cup to her lips and gently poured some some of the hot liquid into her mouth, her eyes closing in satisfaction as she did so. ~"I'm Jevi, and you?" she said placing the cup down on the counter. Her eyes widened a bit and her cheeks flushed a slight pink when the man made mention of seeing her and Grave together. ~"O-Oh really?" she laughed sheepishly, ~"Yeah, w-we're just friends is all.." she took another quick drink of her coffee.
