It's been a long day without any adventuring for Himeko; the thought of sleeping made her restless, and she got up from the alleyway she was about to sleep in and went straight out of town. The quarry ahead was rich in materials and she was planning to gather some, maybe to open up a shop of her own or buy items with them. Either the first option or the other, it didn't really matter to her, what was most important was having some fun while doing it. Himeko looked up and saw the beautiful full moon, "How could this be a death game?" She thought. It was magnificent, something she'd never seen before. Perhaps SAO allowed her to fully live life again, she preferred it better than the real world anyways. Those thoughts also made her wonder, where is her real body? Her parents don't give a damn about her and neither does her older brother, so who exactly found her and put her in a hospital? Oh well, she brushed those unimportant thoughts off and began to look for materials.

"Alright, let's do this!" Himeko shouted as she began to examine the area around her. It was very rocky (Well duh, it's a quarry!) and provided good coverage just in case any passerby tried to rob her. Several large rocks are scattered across the area serving as great hiding spots, mainly however for hidden monsters. She didn't need to worry, those monsters only come out during the day, after all she studied the respawn rate and system as soon as she began playing the game. "Let's see what I can muster up!" She scans her surroundings and finds something. "A material!" she shouts with joy.

"Yes! I found one!" Himeko shouts, getting a little too much excited after finding her first material. The starry night sky's clouds begin to hover over the quarry Himeko is at, providing her with less light to see. "Crap... Now I won't be able to see anyone coming." Nevertheless, she began to search the area again looking for what she came for; materials. To her demise, she finds nothing.

"No worries." she thought. It's okay, as long as she gets back to town alive then she's perfectly fine. The materials are just a plus. Himeko looks up at the sky and notices a bunch of pixels flying by; and it could only mean one thing, somebody is here. She felt pumped; ready for some action but realized she's too weak for any action. "Might as well just stick to materials, they won't notice me anyways if I hide behind this rock." Himeko walked behind a rock and began searching for materials. "Y-Yes, I found one." she whispered to herself, fearing that she might be discovered by whatever just made those pixels.

Himeko stares up at the sky again seeing a shower of multi-colored pixels. Whatever is here is dangerous, but sadly that only adds to the thrill of the midnight journey. She looks at her hands and tells them "I have great faith in you two!" Himeko searches for suitable materials again, finding a seemingly worthless rock with a somewhat odd pattern. "This isn't what I came here for!" Himeko gets a bit frustrated seeing how easily her luck fluctuates; it reminded her a lot of how she used to gamble the only money she had (Stolen) from a very generous (Greedy) family.

"I see, so it's basically a gambling system." She now comes to the conclusion to why she's not finding any materials. It is entirely luck based and dependent on certain skills. If it were the real world, she'd walk out the quarry leaving no stone unturned, but that's not that case because this is SAO, the world of swords. Himeko sighed and continued to search for materials. She forgot that there was something there and accidentally walked out into the open.

While out in the open she saw another wave of pixels and finally found the source of it. Her eyes widened as she became... underwhelmed. "It's... AN NPC! I GOT EXCITED OVER AN NPC!" she shouted in anger. The NPC was a miner who had this amazing magical respawning sandwich that would always run out of durability before he finished it. He had a round shape like someone with beer belly, and offered Himeko a sandwich which she denied. She had the adrenaline flowing in her blood for no reason. She thought there was a PK'er around, but sadly it was just an SK'er (Sandwich Killer)

"Great, more pixels, this is getting annoying." The NPC somehow summoned two magical sandwiches of respawning and used his Sword Art >>Sandwich Eat<< that was surprisingly ineffective against the mitigation of the sandwich. The jolly beer-bellied miner had been doing the same thing for a long time. Fail to eat a sandwich, and offer one to Himeko and eat a sandwich again. The pixels gave away her location, but just in case anyone tries to kill her; she'd just use that annoying NPC as a meatshield, after all he wouldn't mind going to sandwich heaven. While thinking about the annoying NPC, she found a material.

Four more sandwiches appeared in the NPC's hands. 'Oh my god, stop eating the damn sandwiches!' Himeko thought. After one wave of pixels, three more would come. The sandwich floor boss battle would just never end! The NPC used his sword art >>Sandwich Chomp<< but it is still unable to kill the floor sandwich >>Magical Respawning Sandwich, 0 Bland, 10 Flavor<< "This damn NPC..."  At least she found a material while thinking about how annoying the sandwich NPC was.

"I've had it! This NPC is the reason I'm not finding anything" She shouts as she picks up a rock and angrily throws it at the NPC. To her dismay, the NPC takes no damage at all, and instead, her rock hits the sandwich and the NPC says "Where'd my lunch go?" Right after he said that, two sandwiches appeared in his hands and he used the sword art >>Sandwich Devour<< finally killing the >>Magic Sandwich<<. Himeko gets up and moves to a different location to look for materials.

"Finally, no more pixels!" Right after those words came out she saw another pixellated shower. A great anger awakened and Himeko began to cry (Not literally, comedically). "S-Stupid NPC!" Trying her best to ignore the NPC made her looting skill decrease as she found nothing while searching for materials. "It's all your fault!" She yelled at the NPC. She decided to relocate again and try to find new materials away from the sandwich eater.

Finally, she was away from the sandwich eater and was left in peace. "He's gone he's gone he's gone!" Himeko shouted for joy that the pixellated shower was gone. She was happy enough to not realize she was again, out in the open located in a valley. It didn't matter, she still took a quick look around to find some materials. She came back empty-handed and got sad again.

The sadness didn't tear down her spirits; she was still highly motivated in her hunt for materials. The midnight blue sky became cloudless and for the first time in forever, Himeko saw something truly beautiful. "It's even better than before!" Her eyes sparkled like the stars in the night sky and she remembered what she was here for. "Right, I need materials!" And so she searched and found something suitable.

The moonlight began to fade as the morning sun started to rise. Himeko became surprised due to how strange the feeling of warmth in this world was. She felt like she was with her friends again; tampering with school machinery and causing trouble, except she wasn't with them. She was in SAO, and missed them quite a bit. No tears came to Himeko's eyes, she just forgot all about her friends and decided to live right now in SAO and not think of anyone besides herself. She looked around and spotted a rock, but sadly found no suitable materials.

The rising dawn could only mean one thing, visibility. Himeko knew she had to gather he materials quickly before she is spotted by a PK'er. 'Nah, it's fine, there are no PK'ers on the first floor.' She set that thought off and began to search for materials again, becoming depressed due to the fact that she found nothing. "Today's not my day."

With the sun fully risen, Himeko sticks out like a Pikachu in a sea of Charizards. Her pink hair sparkles a bit in the sun, and that's when she gets frustrated. 'If only this wasn't so pink. Well, at least it's pretty.' She thought. Monsters started to spawn in the area but they ignored Himeko and ate the grass instead. "Guess I'm going to search for materials for a little while longer." The green grass did not help at all, it only helped mask the presence of any suitable materials that could go towards crafting items. Thankfully, she found something she could use.

Himeko takes quick glances at the monsters and realizes that they're a lot like her. They're just trying to live, or so she thinks. Memories flood Himeko's brain as she remembers the hell she was living. At age four she was kicked out of her home and had to live on the streets until the age of ten. She lived with her friend after she begged her (Her friend's) parents to let her live with them. She succeeded and had a happy life, or so she thought. The cycle of abuse never ends, she was still treated unfairly and remembered her feelings of sadness and anger. It didn't matter to her, that's the past now. Himeko would continue to think about this until she noticed a suitable material was right in front of her.

Living in the floating castle of Aincrad made her happy, it allowed her to live a more adventurous life than she lived in the real world. It was a change for the good, for some reason she keeps thinking of her life and then shrugs the thoughts off like they're nothing, and then they come back again. This time, she stopped thinking about it completely and only thought about gathering materials, although she found it hard she did not succeed. Himeko ended up thinking about cute plushies, kimonos, and pokemon while also finding a material on the ground.

"I'm beat!" Himeko lies down on the field and looks up at the sky which is now blue. How long was she collecting materials for? Maybe hours, but she forgot all about that and decided to go to bed. She yawned for eight seconds then fell asleep snoring quietly while smiling. It was the look of a true free spirit, that smile, only someone like her could make it, after all her smile was unique.

She was awakened rudely by a crow that had perched itself on her nose. "Kyaaa!" She screamed in astonishment. "Get off me!" She was fighting with the crow to get off her nose, and for a strange reason it didn't want to! The black feathers of the crow flew in the air wildly while a strand of Himeko's hair fell out. After minutes of struggle she finally broke free from its grasps and searched for materials again, getting awfully tired because she just awoken from her slumber.
