PP - F14 Scouting the Fourteenth Floor (Macradon, Zandra, Oikawa)

With the thirteenth floor boss defeated Calrex gave a small sigh of relief as he resheathed the Grand Blade II. However, he was already aware that while the fight was over, the long trek to their escape was only beginning. Looking at his raid teammates he gave a nod, "Alright, let's get this going. I'll see you guys on the next floor!"

Taking off into a sprint he quickly ascended the staircase leading up to the next floor, hearing each step echo as his feet tread over each stone platform. Seeing the light up ahead as he entered through it.

Looking out onto the expanse he looked as Roc soared overhead as he took in a deep breath, putting his hands into his pockets, "Teayre...I wish you were here to see this. We're making more progress. I can just only hope you're alright..."

Steeling his senses and dampening any emotions tempting to rise up he placed his hand on the handle of his sword, stepping out onto the fourteenth floor.

Leothiel had fallen. The last of the angels had finally taken it’s last breath and dispelled into several thousand pixelated bits. Oikawa simply nodded acknowledging those that seemed to reap the rewards gifted to them from the boss. Looking for his favorite bluenette, his eyes trailed him to the new opening that had arrived for them to explore the next floor. Making haste, the blonde quickly fell in line behind him. As he approached, the blonde made out the outlines of two other players approaching them. As he met up with Cal, he realized it was Mack and Zandra joining them.

Macradon would pant heavily, the initial fight was over after Ariel's last hit on the big Leothiel, now the second fight was on, the actual advance to the 14th floor, stairs."Let's go!" he said as he still panted heavily and would rush towards entrance to the next floor. He would look back at the floor for a few seconds, like he said goodbye to the floor, even though he was ready to leave and not really going away from it, but he would be sure to rush up. He was all excited, it was his first time going up a newly cleared floor just after a boss raid. With joy in his eyes he rushed up and see what would be at the end of the stairs, on the way out to the new fields. Macradon wasn't sure of what to expect, he would just think that it would be another dark area, and he really didn't know what he should expect. He would sigh and continue up the stairs, getting more and more tired.

[Zandra 0]

There, Ariel dealt the finishing blow and the thirteenth floor boss, was defeated. With the use of teamwork, it havent taken long for them to come out victorious. But that was only one step on the long ladder to reach the top and complete the game. She remembered that someone needs to find the entrance to next boss room. She wanted to contribute to the completition as much as she could, so she decided to push on, determined to find it. She checked her whip before heading up the stairs, she was also so excited to see how this floor looked like, but she have to focus. No exploring today, just burst thru the mobs to find the gate.

When she came up the stairs first she saw was three male, Macradon, Oikawa and Calrex. She smirked."So youre here too. Okay, lets do this!" First when she saw floor 14, she got stunned for a few seconds before she shake her head to come back to teality and hurried to catch up with Cal, Oikawa and Mac.

Looking back Calrex saw that three of the other frontliners had immediately ascended up to the fourteenth floor behind him. Zandra, whom he had become more acquainted with ever since she had come along both quests on the thirteenth floor, as well as assisting her in a dungeon exploration; Macradon, whom he had met when helping Shizuka with the <<Quest for Hoya>> mission; and Oikawa, the Commandant of the Azure Brigade, fellow member of the unofficial Spectrum Coalition, and one of his closest friends since starting in SAO. "Alright then, let's get a move on."

The fourteenth floor seemed to maintain the dark gloom that seemed to have been introduced on the thirteenth floor, albeit against a rocky landscape. The floor was littered with ravines and large shards of stone that seemed to be the bases for making monoliths. Out in the distance seemed to be a castle that was carved out of the rocks themselves, standing out from the rest of the view due to its structured man-made architecture. "Really feeling the love here Kayaba...

As they continued moving forward Calrex looked to see that a set of creatures were a short distance off from their location, "Alright, looks like the first set of creatures. Let's take them out as quickly as possible so that we can get to discerning the lair of the floor boss. I'm sure you're both aware, with the amount of strength we currently have, we're a bit overleveled, meaning that we're far behind where we should be."

Dampened beams of light flitted through opening, casting a dim glow on the now uncovered fourteenth floor. Stepping into the gloomy like setting, the General trailed behind the Ultramarine Knight as he spoke on some things the whole group should now be aware of. "In lesser words, we need to make haste right? No more dawdling then. Lets take the fight to them and find that boss room." Sidestepping their 'blue guide', Oikawa ignored the massive floating stones littering the area as well as the desolate land as a whole. While an intriguing tower laid up ahead, he focused on the mobs that were quickly coming into his range. Drawing his rapier, the blonde grinned as he dove head first into the group of <Bone Knight(s)>. Activating <Charge> and <Sweep>, the cloaked player surged through the mobs. Swiftly dancing around the skeletons as he struck each one with a quick thrust and jab. "Come one in, the water's fine," he exclaimed to the others.

Macradon nodded as the four of them sprinted out and into the open fields The dark scenery of rubble and floating rocks all around the fields were giving out a dark aura feel. The first pair of creatures appearing were now present, Macradon, Calrex, Zandra and Oikawa would have no problem getting past those. "I'll try to take care of the others" he said as he would sprint up forward, flying by the others with his charge skill, cleaving through 4 of the present monsters with his <Fight Blade> sword art, killing the vile creatures in quick succession. Alike Oikawa who entered the fight first, Macradon would get into the fight, quickly taking care of the monsters he attacked. As he would finish up the devastating blow at the Bone Knights, Macradon would signal back to his comrades that they should advance. Calrex was right, they were all too high a level to be on this floor, they had to advance, and quickly. Macradon would give his all to get to the boss room and clear this floor so they could get to the next, hopefully at some time getting to a floor that fit all the front liners.

The three players ran thru the dark lanscape of floor fourteen

It didnt took long before they ran into a group of enemies. Zandra knew she would be no use with her AOE skill, and they wouldnt need any healing. Thats when she spotted another bone knight. Thou he seemed stronger the the eight that already had arrived. She looked at her three friends. Thou they was already on their way to slay the mobs. She didnt cared about checking the outcome of their battles. Instead she darted forth, seeing an opening between the two groups."Well hello there." She said and charged up her sword art. She took eyecontact and released the attack, gripping around its neck, then throwing it into the ground twice. It exploded into crystals."One more down."

Before Calrex could ready a strike Oikawa and Macradon was already upon the enemies, swinging their blades through them as the bluenette gave a nod. Drawing the Grand Blade II he gave a calming breath before quickly looking over to see Zandra also engage yet another part of the group of creatures that were nearby. Seeing her fell yet another creature he gave a calming breath before rushing forward. Leaping skyward he quickly triggered both his <<Charge>> and <<Lightning Fall>> techniques, crashing down upon the creatures as the lightning shot out and destroyed the remaining creatures.

The blonde looked up from his own attack and watched as everyone else quickly joined in. Macradon decimated the other half of the monster's the General had initiated combat with, while Zandra handled a mob who seemed slightly stronger than the rest. Calrex cleaned up what Oikawa had left behind, making for an effective clean sweep of monsters. Smirking, he was prepared to thank them only to have his train of though interrupted as eight more Bone Knights scrambled from the earthen surface. "Looks like we're not done yet." Not wasting anymore time, the blonde surged forward, making use of his <Concentrate> and <Charge> skills as he activated the motion for another <Sweep>. Slamming into the four mobs, Oikawa nodded to the others.

The rest of the party came in and attacked the mobs present. It went quickly and everything went down without much hassle. Macradon would look as yet more mobs appeared, more bone knights. Macradon would sigh as he would rush in again, it was like the exact same thing they did before. Oikawa went in and Macradon followed just like before. "Let's get them down, then" he would say as he would charge in with his skill and activate his sword art <Fight Blade>, cleaving through the bunch of mobs with 4 big sweeps. The 4 bone knights Macradon assaulted exploded into crystals and pixels, slowly disappearing.

Zandra watched as her male party members attacked two new groups of four that have arrived. She realised she was on the wrong side of the groups. There was no point for her to attack with AOE since it would only take one single health from them. And if she slayed one, it wouldnt matter since they take four with each attack anyway. So she decided to take a few steps back to be sure not beeing hit by their AOE's

As his teammates engaged yet another group of enemies Calrex gave a smirk as he followed alongside them, "Course not. We're not going to be done until we're out of this game!"

Leaping skywards the Grand Blade II lit alight with a crackling electric blue aura as he readied <<Lightning Fall>>, descending back down as he also triggered <<Charge>>, speeding his drop as he slammed into the ground. As he touched down the bluenette pierced the ground with his sword, discharging the lightning energy outwards as it shot in four bolts, piercing through the remaining four skeletal creatures, giving a sigh of relief, "Alright, another bunch down. Are we in the clear?"

Oikawa didn't even bother looking around as he knew just from the pants alone that they had managed to clear the latest wave of creatures. Sheathing his blade after inspecting the area and the distanced horizon, the blonde paused a moment to catch his breath before answering the Ultramarine Knight's question. "I think it is safe to say we're in the clear." Looking up to the spire in the distance, Oikawa manged to lift his hand and point. "That looks like it could be our destination. We should arrive there shortly if we get moving now. Everyone rested?" Standing himself back up, he began to head in the direction of the spire. "Don't fall too far behind, I don't want to get all the credit haha!"

The mobs were slain quickly and Macradon would stop up and rest for a bit. His energy was running low after 2 successive <Fight Blade>, it was taking a real toll at his energy and Macradon wasn't too fond of that. With a deep sigh as they had been slaying the big groups of mobs. Macradon would look up at Oikawa, already on the move again. He would chuckle lightly at the comment and would follow up. They were going to find that boss room, and hopefully be the first to do so.

Now they had vanquished almost twenty of the newly discovered floors mobs. So far there havent been any serious troubles at all. Everything have went by smoothly. Zandra she was the one beeing most useless. In situarions like this, her lack of strong AOE sword arts realy made it she wasnt contributing as much as the other players she travelled with. She wondered how long time it would take until her strong single target attack was worth something. But that was for another day to tell. Now they was on another mission. Zandra was just gonna kick a rock when she saw it was a crystal usefull for crafting. So she picked it up and putted it in her supply bag.

(2 Posts Until Energy Fully Recharged)

Calrex gave a laugh as he heard Oikawa inquire about everyone's energy levels, "Come on man you forget who you're talking to. I've got enough for two more Lightning Fall Sword Arts before I'm completely down. But a rest is probably a good idea."

Bringing up the back of the group the bluenette gave a calming breath as he saw the first flash indicated his out of combat energy regeneration had started. it was true, he could probably still throw out a couple more shots of his most powerful AOE attack before he was spent, but it would be a good idea to hold off until everyone was back to full strength before engaging any more enemies in combat.

"Show off," chuckled the blonde in response to Cal's quip. Swift steps and graceful strides kept the blond out ahead and leading the front as the group moved along to their next location, the eerie dark spire across the barren wasteland that seemed to be the fourteenth floor. The scenery left much to be desired. The floor seemed unfinished, in complete, desolate, decrepit, and displeasing among other things. However, this wouldn't deter the General as he continued to trudge along. "Not much further guys and gals. Not much further."

Even though Macradon still had a bit energy left to take down one more soldier, it was probably still a good idea to take a short rest so they could get on again. Macradon would begin a short walking meditation state and focus mostly on inner focus and barely his vision, just so he wouldn't walk into anything, like, the big rocks around. Macradon would take a deep breath as he walked and meditated, slowly getting his energy back so he would be able to take down larger groups of mobs once again. His somewhat Asian squinty eyes seemed even more closed when he were meditating, like a Brock, but his eyes were open enough for him not to walk into anything.

There seemed to have become a little calmer now. They havent engaged any enemies for quite awhile. Or, for five minutes at least. They was scouting for the door to the next floor boss, but Zandra couldnt spot any sign of an entrance of any kind. Since she havent been fighting that much, she saw her energy beeing fully refilled. From now on, she was gonna kill any enemy she spots. Even if it gonna make a difference or not. She took a quick breath to come back to reali... virtuality and the present, not the past.
