Takneil 0 Posted February 25, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2016 'Vain bud, I don't want you getting hurt so stay here in the town okay?" Recovering from his teleportation sickness Takneil ordered his familiar as he sat on the edge of a bench, feeling something come up his throat he forced himself to swallow it back down and leaned back. "So there is a hundred floors, and to get to each one you need to teleport." shaking his head in disgust he rubbed his forehead. The boy had only recently discovered his weak stomach for teleporting, in real life he had always had motion sickness so maybe when he entered SAO it translated into teleportation sickness?, shrugging he waited for his friend. they were taking on a rather simple quest today, one that would get them both a new skill...and maybe a level up for him. Hopefully they wouldn't run into anything to bad for them to handle.
Hikoru 0 Posted February 29, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 29, 2016 (edited) Hikoru took the teleporter to floor 5, and breathed as he soon pixelated in a world of sand. He was messenged the other day while he was appraising an item at his shop, and he was asked to go on a Quest that he had never done it before, and it gave a skill that could be of use to him, and could be of use in his arsenal. He looked around, and saw his old friend sitting on a nearby bench, looking as sick as he ever did, probably from the teleporter. He sighed and came over to the player, throwing a health potion beside him with a smile "I only had enough for 2, so make it count. I may last longer, so if you need to use mine, don't be afraid to ask." He said with a small smile. He breathed silently for a moment, then came and sat down beside his sickly friend. He knew it would be a moment, so there was no need to stand and wait for him when he could sit beside him. +1 Health Potion to Takneil (Heals 10 HP) Edited February 29, 2016 by Hikoru
Takneil 0 Posted February 29, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted February 29, 2016 "I should be fine, I mean most enemies right now only deal one damage to me." Barely catching the potion by hand the boy added it to his hot bar and sighed. It had been a long time since they had actually gotten together, though it was reasonable to say it was needed...the last time they had done a little farming together on floor two he himself had almost died. Letting the thoughts subside Takneil stood from the bench. "I already got the quest information from the merchant, so we should get going." Looking down to his familiar he shooed him away, the player wasn't sure if he would truly stay within the safezone but he was confident Vain would stay out of trouble. Looking to the exit he shrugged. "I mean unless we want to be blind out there in the dark." +1 Health potion.
Hikoru 0 Posted March 1, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 1, 2016 Hikoru nodded and stood back up, stretching his back slightly and standing as tall as he could at his height, and looked out along the desert. There was a package out there that he needed to get for this quest, and he knew that he could get it easily, but it was Tak he was worried about. He knew his health was lower than his, a little over half of it. He had to watch out for his partner if they were both to survive through this Quest. Hik said something about another Merchant, and his eye twitched. He knew other Merchants were out there, but he wanted to be the best, and he was doing well so far. But he needed to get better, and his friend going to another Merchant wasn't helping "Please don't tell me you went to another Merchant Taki..." He said in an agitated tone. He could feel the heat emenating off his back, and he hoped that his friend would choose his next words carefully, or it may be his last
Takneil 0 Posted March 3, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted March 3, 2016 Raising a questioning brow through the sinister looking expression the <<Eternal Melody>> gave, "Jeez Hik, The NPC Merchant?. the one you need to contact in order to initiate this quest?, trust me I'm too insecure to go to another merchant to actually buy something." he stated a bit annoyed with his friend's tone of voice, deciding to pull the one card he always had over Hikoru he began walking towards the exit. "Keep in mind of NBUH Day, you do something nice for me I don't Participate, you do something mean well I become a volunteer with a good cause." he stated viciously. "now let's get going before sands bury this merchants cargo."
Hikoru 0 Posted March 3, 2016 #6 Share Posted March 3, 2016 Hikoru grit his teeth and did his best to not kill the player right then and there. He knew that he hated the subject of NBUH Day, and he knew it. National Beat Up Hik Day, or NBUH Day was a day where Hik took all the crap that people could give, and he would have to deal with it, as it was their revenge for all the crap he does throughout the year. He sighed and grit his teeth, taking his hand away from his Dagger and breathed deeply "Last warning Tak... Don't get on my bad side..." He said as he followed. He knew he didn't have the heart to kill a person, let alone his best friend. But he knew that he could only take so much sarchasm. He just breathed and continued on with Taki out to the desert, preparing to find this Cargo and get the new Skill that he had long needed
Takneil 0 Posted March 3, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted March 3, 2016 Letting out an annoyed sigh Takneil stamped his foot into the sand, they had just reached the outside of the exit but he needed to clear something up. "Naith!" he spoke up suddenly. Not even giving his friend's statement the pleasure of turning around he stood still facing the vast emptiness of the desert. "I don't know what you went through to make you think it was alright to threaten your friends, but I'm telling you right now. you have two choices, either stuff it back into wherever it came from or kill me right now." He stated boldly. One thing he hated seeing was people changing who they were, yes acting differently in front of strangers or enemies was completely fine. Though when with your allies don't give them the same treatment. "no I'm not acting superior to you either, I'm not being sarcastic, I'm not being anything more than myself." Walking out of the safe zone Takneil could feel his friends presence behind him. "Something you should know before you make your decision, if you think you have it rough. Try holding back something inside of you that can control your feelings, convince you to attack an ally. Not urges, an actual voice telling you to do these things. Try having all of that fighting against your morals, and stay the same. Then if you break, you can change. Before that?. You simply have no right." Looking off to the setting sun the boy sighed as he saw a sandstorm rolling in. "So, lemme ask you something. Would you rather me be my sarcastic self? or a murderous scumbag who only thinks of himself?"
Hikoru 0 Posted March 4, 2016 #8 Share Posted March 4, 2016 Hikoru grit his teeth and grabbed his Dagger, holding it in a ticked tone. He could feel his eye twitching, and his Familiar chimed in, trying to calm him down. Hikoru gave Sutetchi a glance, and the familiar soon backed off. He looked back at Tak, and grit his teeth, feeling his jaw locked into place. He gripped his Dagger and held it up, reversing the grip so the blade was facing his friend "If your plan is to die today, keep talking Taki." He said through grit teeth. He wasn't a person to kill, but there was only so much that he could take. His friend went to another Merchant, although NPC, he felt that his friend had betrayed him, and after the fact he decided to try and provoke him. He thought his friend would have known better than to try and provoke him, especially because he could easily wipe him out. Mitgation and Shield or no. He sighed and gave his friend a stare that told him he meant to be serious.
Takneil 0 Posted March 4, 2016 Author #9 Share Posted March 4, 2016 (edited) Finding the sharp point of a blade pointed directly at him Takneil felt a gut wrenching tear of anger, he knew he wouldn't be able to face Hikoru in battle. Simple numbers were stacked against him, simple numbers determined whether he lived or die. Letting the silence seep into the moment he swiped open his menu, grabbing an item out of his inventory. Holding the potion in hand he gave a glance to the person threatening his life in front of him. "You're being pathetic..." he stated as he shoved the item into Hikoru's chest, Walking past the boy Takneil entered the storm. "I was saving that to add to a collection, a collection of rare items for you to sell in your shop." he stated as he pushed through the heated sand. "At least one of us still see's the other as a friend" He spoke the words harshly. +1 X1<<Sand Armor Potion>>This incredibly potent alchemical salve can be applied to a piece of armor, increasing damage mitigation/resistance by one point for one battle. Hikoru 0 Posted March 6, 2016 #10 Share Posted March 6, 2016 (edited) Hikoru grit his teeth as a potion was shoved into his arms, making him drop his weapon and he fumbled it, almost having it break on the ground in front of him. He picked it up and looked at it, and it was one of the more rare potions in the game. He grit his teeth more and shoved the potion into his pocket. He wanted to be angry, but he knew his friend was right. He sighed and continued forward into the storm, unsure of what to say or do. He had gotten angry over nothing, and for what? He sighed and kept his distance for now. He would talk to him later, but right now, he couldn't think of anything to say. As he was lost in thought, he got a faceful of sand, and the wind ripped at his armor. Takneil 0 Posted March 12, 2016 Author #11 Share Posted March 12, 2016 (edited) Pushing through the harsh storm of the desert Takneil quickly brought up his shield, Eternal Harmony. It wouldn't do much for the blasting sandstorm, but it would stop sand from getting through his helm. he really needed the Skill points off of this quest, even more so the extra skill that comes for free. he would find that ability very pleasant to have and he was sure Hikoru thought the same. Hikoru 0 Posted March 12, 2016 #12 Share Posted March 12, 2016 (edited) Hikoru walked through the blistering storm, not liking the outcome of this. He had already noticed that his health had gone down a bit, and he knew that those few HP could be life or death, he watched his footing more through the sand as he heard his friend say about finding the cargo, and nodded as he started to search around the area to see if he could find the cargo that he was supposed to be searching for ID: 51128 CD: 2 Edited March 12, 2016 by Hikoru
Takneil 0 Posted March 12, 2016 Author #13 Share Posted March 12, 2016 (edited) Straining his eye Takneil trudged through the partially burning sands, steam rose from his armor as the hot sand pelted against him. He had heard that the quest had caused a lot of trouble for players, but it didn't seem to bother him as much. Maybe it just hadn't hit full force yet? He should have asked about the last time the merchant had seen the cargo. Mumbling a few curses of his lack of thinking the boy glanced over his shoulder to make sure his ally was still behind him. Hikoru 0 Posted March 12, 2016 #14 Share Posted March 12, 2016 (edited) Hikoru grit his teeth and trudged through the sands behind his tanky thread, who he could barely see through the storm. He breathed and looked around, and saw something in the distance, a small black dot that seemed to be a small cube. He caught up to his friend and got his attention, pointing over towards the box-like item in the distance "Could that be it over there? Let's go check it out!" He said loudly through the wind and continued forward towards the item, trudging through the storm as quickly as he could, fighting against the strong gale that seemed to fight against him. Takneil 0 Posted March 14, 2016 Author #15 Share Posted March 14, 2016 (edited) "Hmm?" Turning the direction his friend was pointing in Takneil raised his shield to block the sand from burning him, "I don't know, it could be?" he shrugged as he narrowed his eye, the small black box wasn't what he was expecting for cargo. Forcing his legs to lift through the constant rising sand the boy quickly moved, he didn't want the desert to claim it. A failure in this quest would mean he would lose his chance to get the skill, something he'd rather not happen. Hikoru 0 Posted March 14, 2016 #16 Share Posted March 14, 2016 (edited) Hikoru continued to trudge through the sands behind his comrade towards the shadow of what seemed to be the missing cargo. In the storm though, he couldn't make anything out but a small shadow, and that's all they were going on, because it was the only thing around them for what seemed to be miles. He continued towards it, until they were but feet away from it. It came into view, and it was a large box, and he smiled "It's the missing cargo!" He said as he ran towards it. He fell to his knees in front of the box and picked it up. It was a bit heftier than he thought, and he knew he was the main damage dealer in the group, and he wasn't sure if there were bandits afoot or not. He held out the box to Taki "Here, take this in case some bandits come and try to attack." He said with a small smile ID: 51325 CD: 3 Edited March 14, 2016 by Hikoru
Takneil 0 Posted March 14, 2016 Author #17 Share Posted March 14, 2016 (edited) Grabbing the black box from Hikoru, Takneil nodded. "Let's get back, the sooner the better." he stated shifting it so he held it at a more comfortable position. Turning around he tried to make out which way it was back to the safe zone, even through the sand he could tell that it had become night time. Hikoru 0 Posted March 16, 2016 #18 Share Posted March 16, 2016 (edited) Hikoru nodded and headed back from the way they came. It was a lot harder to trudge through the storm now that he was leading, making it only harder to stay on his own feet. He fell to his knee and took a moment to regain his strength, as he knew that it would be only harder for him to continue moving forward through the sand. He continued to trudge after a moment, finally seeing the town in the distance. He looked back to his friend with the large cargo and pointed ahead "There it is! We're almost there!" He said as he soon gave it his all not to fall over or fall to his knee again, and soon appeared in the town, out of the storm that had surrounded them. He breathed and continued into town once his friend appeared out of the storm. Takneil 0 Posted March 16, 2016 Author #19 Share Posted March 16, 2016 (edited) Following his friend Takneil did his best to not fall into the sand, the cargo itself was heavy but not enough slow him down. Granted if it wasn't for the storm Hikoru would have most likely already been in town while he slowly trudged about a mile away. "Hmm?" Glancing from the side of the box the boy smiled as he saw what his friend was pointing too, they weren't that far from town. It looked completely untouched by the storm. Well it was a safe zone... Setting the black box on the ground Takneil took a deep breath, 'thanks for the help" he stated leaning against the cargo they had found. "You go ahead into town, I'll wait here for the merchant." Hikoru 0 Posted March 16, 2016 #20 Share Posted March 16, 2016 Hikoru nodded and went back towards the town, appearing at the main square where he both saw his Familiar and Taki's familiar waiting. He saw that Taki's familiar was going after Sutetchi, and he ran over and scooped up his familiar. He held his hand out to the what seemed to be wolf, and stopped it best he could. He breathed and went to the local town pub, where they had planned to meet for a drink for the night. He sat down at a bar stool and looked at the bartender, giving him a nod "A nice Lime Tequila would be nice." He said. With a nod, the bartender went and made the drink, and with a sigh he spawned a piece of bread, giving it to his small Familiar to eat. He smiled and scratched the top of it's chin as he waited. The bartender came back, and he gave a nod and took a small sip, sighing and enjoying the taste of the drink. He waited for his friend with a small smile on his face as he enjoyed the fine drink and sat with a satisfied feeling in his gut.
