Description

The Fourth Floor of Aincrad, closely resembling the winter wonderlands Snow so fondly remembered in her birthplace of Czech Republic, houses a small and quaint little building. In the resemblance the cottages to the left and right, Snow's Rotating Sushi Bar is starkly contrasted by the red signs commonly found in Japan. Slightly out of place, the Eastern decorated building represents Snow's life as a student studying abroad in Kyoto. While there, she learned to appreciate the colorful and precisely executed Japanese cuisine. Mixing notes of her origin with influence of her most recent life, Snow's Rotating Sushi Bar captures the young blonde's history and welcoming demeanor.

Once opened with the soft chime of a brass bell fixed to the inside of the door, patrons can enjoy the warmth of a constantly burning hearth to the back of the restaurant. With walls painted a mixture of soft blues and contrasting maroons, patrons can find several illustrations hanging every several feet. Drawn or painted by the owner herself, Snow displays her true talent for all to see. Images of her home in the real world, memorable places in Kyoto, and faces of friends and loved ones can be found in the illustrations. Several tables and chairs line the wall to the left as patrons enter. On top of each table is a small glass dish partially filled with water. Within the dishes, lotus blossoms and candles float atop the water's surface adding both ambient light and a subtle aroma.

However, the pride and joy of Snow's Rotating Sushi Bar is the bar itself. With a counter made of deep cherry wood and lacquered to a polished shine, Snow stands on the opposite side and greets in the traditional Japanese manner. A glass case filled with ingredients can be seen as well has her tools of the trade. As you sit at the bar, you notice a belt that rotates across the room and hooks around the glass case where Snow busily works. As she finishes a roll, she puts a pair of pieces on a plate and places it on the belt. The longer she works, the more variety spins around, permitting you to pick whichever suits your fancy.

Rice cookers hiss with steam and nori lay at the ready to create any roll of your choosing. For those not interested in sushi, a menu stands behind her with a short list of available dishes and combinations. A small fabric divider can be seen in a doorway behind the girl. From the door, savory aromas waft into the lobby of chicken and pork katsu, tempura, and teriyaki. Custom orders are welcome and encouraged through a little stand and slot near the front door.

In the corner, several wooden walls with paper windows frame off a small private section. Inside, the floor is lined with tatami mats, and a kotatsu table able to seat eight in the traditional Japanese manner. The back wall has a tall, ornate table with a floral centerpiece and just enough space to hold extra condiments, napkins, chopsticks, and small confections. Underneath it, patrons can find stacks of small sitting pillows to use around the table. This room is usually reserved for small groups and guilds for meetings, but is anyone can book the room for their use by contacting Snow via private message.

Snow stood behind the counter and tied off her apron in perpetration to her first day on the job. With a smile and a positive attitude, the young blonde began prepping her ingredients. Today, she would stick to the simple things: one egg, sugar, and rice. As she toiled, she fumbled with managing her menus, timing, and the unorthodox cooking interface of the game. Sadly, her first attempt burst into a peppering of data.

With a sigh, Snow began anew. She learned from her past mistakes and began to feel the rhythm to the madness. Near the final hour, the teen folded the pastry and set it in the oven to bake. When the timer ran, Snow pulled out her first successful creation, a Fortune Cookie!

Snow busily worked away behind the counter of her rotating sushi bar. So far, just one lone cookie spun around on a single, solitary plate. Snow let out a sigh. So far, she hadn't had a customer. Location may have been the issue, but it reminded her of home. She couldn't give it up just for that reason alone.

As the blonde worked, she focused on replicating the dish from the day prior. This time, with much less effort, she succeeded.

Feeling more confident, Snow pulled up a more complicated recipe. Keeping her friend in mind, Opal, the young sushi chef busied at her first sake recipe. Carefully brewed and distilled, Snow checked the completed item's info with a wince. Luckily, it was successful!

Happy with the day, Snow took off her apron and took a moment to relax.

It had been a while since Snow tried her hand at Sushi. Lately, she spent most of her time hunting, leveling up, and trying to make the most of life in Virtual Reality. Today, she had a good feeling about her successes and her own hunger certainly played a part. With two quick tugs of her apron, the young chef set to work. She figured to start with something easy: an Onigiri. Only two ingredients, rice and nori. She placed the needed materials into the rice cooker and hit the accept button to begin cooking. In seconds, the cooker beeped. If only rice cooked this fast in real life! She took the rice out and tapped it between her hands twice before Cardinal handled the rest. Perfectly formed, all that was left was a delicate drag and drop of the nori atop the ball of hand formed rice. Ding! A fantastic success and start to the day. One onigiri complete.

Feeling confident, Snowwanted to try and finally get some sushi on the conveyor. She pondered the easiest type of dish and settled on plain ebi nigiri. How hard would a butterfly shrimp on rice be? She didn't have to worry about portion control, marbling of the protein, wrapping nori... just plop it on some rice with a little dab of fresh wasabi. Again, Snow prepared the necessary materials from her inventory and took some of the rice leftover from the pot. Quick tap with the knife and the shrimp were prepared. A tap, tap, and a drop and poof, done. The blonde's eyes widened when a small congratulatory message appeared over the nigiri and it split into two helpings. It was certainly a first for her and not only did she succeed, she hecking nailed it!

The novice chef took a moment to fist pump her success before placing her expertly prepared dishes on the conveyor.

Given her recent successes, Snow set to work again. This time, she decided to try for something far more difficult, The Godzilla Roll. She set to work with her ingredients all laid out. Nori, rice, shrimp, tempura, cream cheese, and avocado. Her hands worked delicately but nervously. The avocado was sliced uneven, the rice tore through the nori, and the shrimp turned to a burnt brown in the fryer. Snow hung her head halfway through. With a heavy heart filled with defeat, she slid the wreck into the bin of deletion and watched it transition into digital dust.

Snow wiped down the counter and propped her weight onto her hands for a moment to collect herself. With a short breath and exhale through pursed lips, Snow collected some rice, nori, and cucumber. A cucumber roll would surely be less of a challenge. Snow assembled the ingredients on the nori and rolled it with her mat. When she pulled the mat away, she saw she forgot to trim the nori and left a huge, dry, trailing edge. The roll itself was lumpy, uneven, and torn just a bit in the middle. Completely unfit to serve. Again, Snow sighed. However, with some scissors, she trimmed away the dry excess of the nori. She could still use this for some sashimi or topping another day.

A rather large appetite building, the sword fishes cut just not quite being enough to satiate the growing hunger. It gave the assault division member a taste for fish. After some asking around a suggestion brought him to floor 4. Before making the required delivery of these familiar items, he could snag a bite to eat. A quaint little building, a warm atmosphere, and quite the smells littered about the place all of which served to grow his interest. Finding his way to the front of the belt, taking a table with a rather rowdy slide of a cherry wood chair. A scan about shows a bunch of paintings of places he does not recognize, but they were clearly real world locations. Placing his left arm to the belt, Gaius begins to shovel everything off of it to the table stripping it completely bare of the platters that circle about. A flash of consumption like a ravenous animal, a pile of plates begins to build upon the side of his table for as fast as the cuisine passes its snatched up.

Floor 4 was a beautiful place--Xin loved the snow--but she wished that Snowfrost was at least a little more developed. The snow crunched satisfyingly with each passing step and quieted as she entered Snow's Rotating Sushi Bar.

Xin was met with a blanket of warmth. Snow's bar had a healthy amount of decor throughout. Xin made sure to examine each and ever illustration as she walked toward the bar. She plopped herself down at the counter right in front of Snow. Xin leaned in toward Snow. "This place looks amazing!" She kept her voice down, not wanting to repeat what she'd done at the cafe.

A fortune cookie started to pass by on the conveyor belt. "Ooo, that looks good! And so does that, and that, and th..." Along with the fortune cookie, she ended getting a variety of normal pieces of sushi and made sure to enjoy every single one of them. "These are delicious!"

Surprised to find out that her friend Snow was actually a cook, Assassin hurried along to her shop through the cold of floor four and swung open the door, greeted with the face of the blonde.

"Tank-lady!!" She yelled out over the chime of the brass bell. "I didn't know that you actually took to making buffed food! Since that's the case, I want to buy some of the luck food off of you. I need them for an important quest that I am going to do on my own. Ooh, fortune cookies!" The girl looked at them all, just happening to be the item she needed. Looking at the price, she passed the necessary materials to her for payment. She marked another important item off her paper list. "Thanks!"

After a long day trying to grind levels, Snow relaxed in her bar and worked on some new items for her menu. Cooking helped calm her and clear her mind. The young blonde hummed to herself some of the tunes she used to listen to when drawing and painting in the real world. As she worked her sushi knife through another maki roll, the little brass bell on the door thrummed. A gentleman with messy dark hair walked in and took a seat at the bar opposite to her workspace. His arm blocked the constantly rotating conveyor belt and plates slid off in front of him. Frankly, the speed to which he ate them impressed Snow. There used to be a place in the real world where they kept a wall of pictures for patrons that ate the highest stacks of empty plates. He was well on his way to being the first to go on the wall at her establishment. Snow giggled at the idea.

"いらっしゃいませ," Snow welcomed in the traditional Japanese manner. "Could I get you anything to drink?"

Soon after, the brass bell rang again and two others entered. She knew both of them! Xin from the cafe took a seat and picked out a few items from the belt.

"Thank you!" she replied to the praise. "I'm so glad you decided to stop by! Make yourself at home."

Assassin came in and quickly snatched a cookie off the belt and slid over some units of materials.

"Yeah!" Snow replied. "I love cooking for others. Brings happiness and hopefully helps people out! Enjoy!"
