Lessa 1 Posted March 9, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2016 The jungle whispered to her. As a soft, sticky breeze moved the warm air around, the leaves of the many tall trees bent beneath it. What it was that the wilderness was telling her, however, was a mystery. Perhaps it was a warning, encouraging her to turn back, and find safety within the crumbling walls of the city. She could understand it, considering the number of players who had lost their lives or their sanities within Amazon's Folly. And knowing the game's creator, a threatening hiss was not out of the question. But that morning, Lessa found herself more optimistic than usual. She was still a far-cry from the bubbly go-getter she once was, there was no denying that. But as she paused to close her eyes, and feel the sensation of the sunlight trickling through the canopy and onto her face, she did not experience the same weight that had taken residence on her chest over the past year. If even for a little while, she felt alright. And it was easy to imagine the forest beckoning her closer, rather than demanding that she leave. There was an energy in that morning, and despite her hardened exterior, some of that warmth managed to seep through. It was a beautiful day, and she had a beautiful sword that had seen no action at all. It was time to change that.
