Profile
Username: Dynaon
Profession Title: <<Immortal Alchemist>>
Real name: Jared
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Height: 5'9"

About Me:

Jared wasn't one to just take life as it was. In the neighborhood he grew up in, there was barely anything to really make his life anything but gray. No fights, no crime, no performances. For the first decade of his life, it was a simple childhood of going to school every day, coming home to eat, doing homework, and sleeping. It was ultimately uneventful. However, on his 11th birthday, a tone shift took place in that gray world that Jared had come to know. A man in a dark beanie held both him and his mother at gunpoint, demanding that she give up her wallet and phone. She leaned in to hand him what he wanted, but for some reason, a primal instinct took over the young child beneath their arms. Jared quickly brought his forearm up and smacked the gun away. It was an unexpected blow and it was enough to get the gun on the ground. He tackled the man down to the ground as his mother grabbed the gun, quickly putting it to the criminal's head and keeping him there until the police came to arrest him.

For the first time, he could see the red in his mother's dress as she went to date what would be his first of four stepdads. He could see the sky fade into a light blue, the grass to a sweet green, and the various shades that would take over the surfaces of the houses in his neighborhood. For once, he could see the color in this exciting world. He felt like he was finally alive. From then on, he treated life as if he were the 'main character', always being the one to take the risks necessary to come out on top. Whether it was taming a simple garden snake in the presence of his peers or finishing an exam first and still getting the highest marks, you could always count on Jared to come out on top.

In college, nothing seemed to differ. However, throughout his years, he had taken a liking to video games. They always help to refine his senses and sharpen him up for any situation that may come up, should he be held at gunpoint like he was nearly ten years ago. A certain game, Sword Art Online, was just supposed to be another bump he was meant to conquer. He wasn't a foreigner to MMOs, but after getting the best builds and hitting the level caps, he usually dropped them. Maybe this one would prove to be a challenge. After equipping himself, he quickly dove into the world of Aincrad.

LINK START

He didn't even get a chance to go to the starting city before his character was transported to the area where a giant man in a cloak of pure crimson announced to the masses that they couldn't log out of the game. Annoyed with the concept of not being able to escape the game, Jared quickly navigated through the menu provided to him to try and log out. Of course, this was a fruitless endeavor. He was stuck in a world where he didn't know anyone, people may be more experienced at the game, and considering what the crimson-cloaked gentleman explained during this meeting, death was a very real threat. It was like he was at gunpoint, the dark beanie shifting to the shade of blood.

That only fueled the God. He wished to make Aincrad his stomping ground, and he would rise through the ranks to make sure his name was known far and wide before getting everyone out of this virtual hell.

Virtues:

Confident | Dynaon's never been one to back down from a challenge, you know? Sometimes he may take things a bit too far or he'll get himself into a situation where there's damn near no chance of him coming out on top. However, even in the face of utter destruction, he has the confidence to keep going forward. He never doubts his abilities, despite grandeur taking the helm at some points.

Patient | With his past in the gaming world, and perhaps even in the real world in some cases, Dynaon has learned that patience is the greatest of virtues when you really want something. Whether it is waiting out that big, bad boss to show off his weak spot after ten minutes of dodging and tanking his blows or waiting for your turn to speak in the college classrooms, Dynaon's no stranger to finding his moment. At this point, his decisiveness also comes into play. He knows exactly when he needs to strike, and he doesn't care how long he needs to wait to find that single opportunity.

Decisive | When it comes to a choice, whether it is between saving a friend or letting masses die, or something as simple as what kind of dress the lovely lady he's taking out should be wearing, Dynaon's quick and to the point on his decisions. He's never chosen based on his feelings, but rather, he goes about his decisions on logic and worth. He may wish to save his friend from the bottom of his heart, but their life versus the ten he could save by looking the other way just doesn't seem like an equal trade in his eyes. This has gotten him into snags in his life with some calling him heartless for how he handles tense situations and tough decisions. It's almost like he doesn't even care, when in reality, he's just trying to hide his feelings for the sake of logic.

Flaws:

Arrogant | With that confidence within him, there's also a bit of arrogance inside of his soul. Well, no, there's actually a lot of it inside of him, all things considered. Throughout his life, he was used to succeeding in any endeavor he put his mind to. He's never really tasted the sting of defeat or the poisonous toxins of failure, so it is a very foreign concept to him. Through this, he's always had insane amounts of self-confidence, almost enough to put himself on the level of a God in his own mind.

Overambitious | "What's the point of limits if I just keep breaking them? They shouldn't exist in the first place if they can't keep themselves together in my presence." Yes, Dynaon once actually said this to classmates in the real world. He's obsessed with the idea of success and passing people up in the grand scheme of things, and through that, he gains ambition and confidence in whatever he is going to do, even if he's not necessarily good at it. This may lead him to somewhat fail at the task, but he'll try to find some way to succeed in one aspect of whatever he is doing, keeping himself from feeling failure.

Theatrical | For Dynaon, if you're going to succeed, you need to do it in the most exciting and theatrical way possible. If the party he's involved with is fighting a dragon, he needs to be the one to deliver that finishing blow by clocking that flying bastard across the jaw. That's just how Dynaon runs things: there's always a way to give a situation, no matter how dire, a little flare to make sure it pleases the hypothetical crowd watching them do work. That being said, he hates to take things on alone unless there is a public record of what he is doing, such as taking down a boss all by himself.
