[PP-F3] Equipping Ourselves (Worn Out Welcome Quest)

Recommended Posts

Rumor has it, the third floor played host to a shop that gifted players armor if they acquired the right materials. While Yuki wasn't one for myths and misleading information, the rumor had piqued her interest nonetheless. Her frequent tavern lodging seemed to have affected the NPC owner as he was now regularly saying "See you soon," to her whenever she left. Though that alone could've been her imagination as now that she thought on it, he said 'see you soon' to everyone.

Pushing the hinged wood forward, she vacated the tavern and made her way to the teleportation gate. She would dispel the rumor soon enough.

Macradon was taking a short nap on the 3rd floor, it was his day off and he would take it as it came. The third floor's Delilah village was quite nice and cozy, Macradon was laying down on a bench at the warp plaza. He didn't really have any plans for today, but he was quite sure that something was to happen, but at least it wasn't frontline stuff so it wouldn't be too much work on Macradon's side, at least not on the third floor. Macradon's level was far surpassing the monster's level on the third floor, he remembered that some mobs had some strength that would nick just a tiny bit of Macradon's health, but not that much that it would make his rampage on the monsters stop. He was laying there, with his eyes closed, he wasn't taking that nap anymore, he was up and awake again. He wasn't wearing his field wear as he usually were, he was just wearing his green and black robes because he wasn't doing any guild work today.

Light flickered as the purplette materialized onto the platform within the center of Delilah Village. The main settlement of the third floor met her with sights she had never seen before. Cobbled and dirt roads alike served as entrances and exits to the floor around her. Azure eyes flicked between this and that, in search of any signs that could lead her to the rumored shop. Stepping from the platform, she skimmed the visible shop signs. None of them seeming to stick out with each sweep of there title and wares. Pushing forward, she headed for the alleyway lined with the most shops and figured she'd ask around there. Maybe someone else would have an idea of what she was looking for.

Macradon yawned as he would begin to sit back up straight. His red and black robes were sometimes too comfortable for him to not rest in, so he would get rid of those and get his casual attire on again. Off with the green robes and on with his grey bodysuit, vambraces, halfplate and demi-greaves. Not fully decked out in his whole uniform, but still something that was nice to wear. With little hesitation he would stand up and stretch hid body. "Maybe something fun will happen today" he thought for himself as he would begin to walk towards the shop areas, hopefully picking up some inspiration for his own crafts.

Light dripped between the buildings as she passed from one shoppe to the next. Each one laying claim to the best quality and cheapest prices around. Though all seemed likely to rob you of your funds sooner than you could say 'Aincrad'. With each step, she saw less and less light, as with each step, she delved deeper into the alley. She scanned the signs lining each individual building, skipping each one yet again before gasping aloud as one seemed to fit the bill. Looking both ways along the alley, her gaze was once again fixed upon something unfamiliar, another player. His attire screamed casual, but his aura shouted veteran of sorts. She blinked a few times as the player came into view. She recognized him from somewhere but she couldn't place a name to the person and as such, she flicked the notion away.

Stepping forward, she entered the shop of the couple Griswold and Hanna.

He remembered something, a quest of some sort he hadn't completed yet, even though he had this high level. He was already in the mood for something to happen, so to take a quest would be easy, at least on this floor. Now that he was determined to go on the quest, he would don his whole armor, helmet sword and everything. His uniform stood red and white with his grey bodysuit like a glue for the armor pieces. He open up his menu and look for his notes. Being a blacksmith himself, he was hyped to meet this Master Blacksmith, Macradon was a High Mentor, so meeting someone with a higher rank than him, be it NPC or not, was a very good sign for Macradon to leech some inspiration from his shop. "What was the shop named again?" he though for himself as he would look around. He was in an alley that did seem like a shopping street, so he would be nearby. It didn't take much searching before he found the shop. He entered as he pulled his visor up for more clear vision and also revealing his face, red eyes and snow white hair matching his armor. "I heard there was special kind of quest here?" he would ask as he entered.

Upon entrance, Yuki was met with the scent of refined metal and burning wood. Fire crackled to her left, giving the shoppe a home-y feeling. Stepping through the waiting area, the purplette approached the counter and lightly tapped the bell that emitted an eloquent 'ding'. No sooner than had she sounded the bell, another player entered the shop. There was no mistaking it. But it was in fact the player she had seen only moments ago before stepping into the shop herself. His question was met with silence at first, but slowly the couple made their way tot he front and greeted them both.

The surly male, know as Griswold, was the first to speak. "Aye we craft armor for those in need. What's your fancy, light or heavy?" Yuki hesitated before giving her answer.

"Light," she mumbled.

"Well if its light armor you seek, talk to my wife Hanna. She'll give you a list of materials to gather."

Nodding, Yuki scooted down the counter, and spoke to the wife, Hanna. The rather stunning brunette craftswoman, quickly produced a list for the girl to adhere to. "Just get these two items and he'll be able to craft you cloak!" "Thank you," Yuki responded before placing the list in her inventory. Turning to face the other player, she had half a mind to ask for his help since he'd be doing the quest as well, the other half was unsure as he looked rather intimidating. Sighing, she turned to leave instead.

Macradon would smile and enter "As you can see, I fancy heavy armor" he said and would bang a fist onto his halfplate, making his whole attire clang as he did so. Macradon was a blacksmith himself, so crafting armor was something he could do himself, but this was a master blacksmith, someone better at crafting armor than Macradon was, which was great. "Aye, my eye spotted that" the man would reply to Macradon "Though too many people at the same time isn't something we fancy here at the smithy" the man said. Macradon would smile and nod "I do have the same feeling myself" he said. he knew that more people at the shop would mean more customers, which was great, but the pressure of having to smith that much at the same time wasn't a pleasant feeling. Macradon would think about it after a few seconds. "You know what, what can I do for you to tell me any blacksmith secrets?" he would ask the man behind the corner. "Oh those aren't cheap, lad" he would say "I understand" he said "What your price?" he would ask the man with a wink in his eye. "Show me that you're worthy" the man said. Macradon would think quickly, how would he show himself to be worthy? "Hey" he said to the girl who was about to leave. It might have sounded intimidating out of sudden like that, but it was because Macradon just had the idea and it just erupted from his mouth. "You need help finding materials?" he would ask the girl, quickly glancing back at the shop owner, who in turn would wink back at Macradon.
