Growing up, Lucas was enamoured by all forms of hand to hand combat, being introduced to strings of old Kung fu movies by Father, Nathaniel Swain. At the age of 12, Jaycen enrolled for multiple martial arts classes, but was never able to find a style that fit him, which led to disappointment for the poor child, but he never gave up. At the age of 16, he finally found a style that fit him, Zui Quan, or drunken fist. He found the disarming appearance to be to his liking for catching an opponent off guard, but refused to drink any alcohol to help him, fearing it to be a crutch.  A few days after his 18th birthday, he entered into an MMA tournament to try and impress his father with his abilities, to show he was a worthy son. Putting his skills to the test, he fought and fought his way through the brackets until the final, him being a dark horse in the tournament, versus the title holder. However, before the fight, he was threatened to throw the fight by two thugs who worked for the title holder. He stoutly refused, and entered into the arena, and crushed the title holder, revealing him to be a fraud who had used bribery and threats to get where he was. Proud of himself, and happy that his father had been there to see him succeed, he walked out of the building with his father in tow and spirits high. But the day took a turn, and the two thugs attacked the pair in an alleyway. Jaycen bravely took one down, disabling him quickly and knocking him unconscious, but when he turned to help fight the other one, he saw the thug pull out a gun and shoot his father. Enraged and shocked, Jaycen blacked out and only came back to his senses as he was straddling the murderer and repeatedly punching the thugs face, his hands already caked in the blood of the long dead man. Terrified, Jaycen could only stare, mouth agape at his hands as he came to the realisation he had murdered someone in cold blood. Traumatised, he sat in shock as paramedics and police officers came to the site, and he was forced to recount his tale. From that point, he vowed to not fight anymore, for fear of the pain he would inflict on others, and also himself. To try and move on, he took up the practice of medicine, inheriting a small fortune from his father to fund his tuition, but was faced with the obstacle of combatting his new found Hemophobia, a difficult task for a future man of healing. He continues to try and get over his fear, and learn new practices to heal and help people. At the age off 22, the release of SAO occurred and he thought of the idea to purchase the game, as a kind of therapy to deal with his hemophobia. But only time will tell if it will be a success, or the death of him.

Virtues:

Charismatic - Jaycen has a big heart and a big mouth to go with it. He is always trying to support others on their challenges, and is always willing to believe in people. Friend or foe, Jaycen will talk throughout any battle, and motivate his allies, whilst challenging his foes actions, trying to gain any advantage possible. He will always help a friend, and refuses to let good people suffer needlessly.

Determined - Jaycen refuses to give up, until the last bell has gone! He will complete his task, and will simply take on another, either in the interest of helping himself, or others. Due to his years of training, he has a strong sense of dedication to any task he attempts to perform, and refuses to give up, constantly giving his best to achieve a goal for himself, or opne of his friends.

Adaptable - Jaycen knows how to change to face his problems from a different angle. Whether it be a boss fight, or talking to a scared patient, Jaycen will always try and find the best way to deal with the situation, in the hopes he can find a solution for everyone. Jaycen is constantly trying to be better, learning new ways to handle dangerous situations effectively, in hopes of saving lives at a later date.

Hemophobic - Jaycen is currently battling a horrible fear of blood, due to a traumatic event in his life. He has a tendency to seize up at a first sight of blood, but can eventually force himself through it. He hopes to tackle this fire during SAO by forcing himself to deal with it, but this backfired after being trapped inside the game. Now the stakes are higher, and he must deal with his fear fast before it kills him.

Flirt (Tease) - Jaycen seems to flirt with everything with two legs, as a coping mechanism whenever anyone attempts to get to know him, hoping to scare them away, both male and female. He merely means it in jest, however his compliments are all sincere, as he believes that saying lies to someone causes more harm than good. He is always reluctant to talk about his past, even after much prying. This can get him into awkward situations and misunderstandings often ensue.

Overly attached - Jaycen considers his friends as his greatest treasure, and would sacrifice himself a thousand times over, if it meant he could save his precious friends. In times of great danger, he relies more on instinct, and trying to save his friends, instead of the logic required, which could end up costing him harshly. But if he saves at least one person, Jaycen would deem his life worth it.
