As the whip clumsily struck the air beside him Xion's spear began to spark, electricity running along the pole arm, almost dancing. "What happened to you" he heard, but his mind was focused on the destruction of his opponent. Xion was dead to the world, the maelstrom had taken over. 

 

He rushed forwards, driving his spear into Nixon's chest, the weapon delivering a large shock to the player who then went limp, but he was held up by the tank's spear for a few seconds. "What happened to you?" Those words somehow managed to force their way to the front of his mind. "What..." He said, before swiftly kicking Nixon to the ground in a brutal fashion.

as the spear penetrated Nixon's chest he looked at Xion dead in the eye's, Nixon peered past the man's physical body and into Xion's soul. as he fell to the ground Nixon heard Xion say one word, there was a bit of hesitation in it. "What..." This was all nixon needed to hear. "You see Xion, There are only a few things that can cause someone to be able to harbor a psychological shift like you did at the beginning of this battle." Nixon's voice was soothing and calm. his eye's were sincere. "Xion, if you will grace me with it, Please, tell me about your past. Outside of this game" Nixon's voice was not only calm but there was a moderate amount of genuine concern for the Maelstrom. Nixon couldn't do much with his knowledge of the human mind, but this was one of the things he could do and he would do anything he could to help Xion.
