A weird question

So you know how in the first episode there were some male players who appeared female before Kayaba told everyone to look at the mirrors? I want to make a character based around that but actually have them be transgender, but maybe have tried to use SAO to live as the gender that they want to be. I.e be male IRL but have their in game gender set as female.

 

would a character like that be accepted

If I remember correctly, you're required to play as the gender your character is offline. There are rare items occasionally given away in raffles that let you switch between genders though.

Well balls I just made my journal because I'm impatient...but I need the char's in game gender male but just appears to be female...[censored] I've created a trap XD oh well

I swear we've had traps before. I'm no mod but would a char who's IG gender is the same as their IRL gender, but as Luna said dresses or appear female be ok?

Those sorts of characters are pretty common, yeah.
