Raun 0 Posted March 21, 2016 Author #2 Share Posted March 21, 2016 (edited) It was Raun's first day of crafting, and frankly, nothing went well. He was too confident after how effortlessly he stormed through the Earning a Living quest and that showed in his lethargic attempt at making potions. In his first attempt he crafted something edible at least, but it was useless stat wise. The second attempt was a complete fail. It was nothing but a charred lump of goo. Depressed, he left the shop and decided to come back later. Raun 0 Posted March 22, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted March 22, 2016 (edited) The second day, despite being extra careful, his potion was ruined. While he was browsing the ingredients he had in his inventory, he accidentally took out the purple flower instead of the mountain flower and added it to the brew, making it explode in his face. He was grateful for the pain sensor being set to zero. His second attempt didn't go great either and he just blamed the fiasco that happened earlier for this one too. Raun 0 Posted March 23, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted March 23, 2016 (edited) Raun was tired of all the failures and he desperately wished to make an useful potion that day. However, his prayers fell on no God's ears as both his attempts failed that day too. He started to wonder if he was cursed with bad luck as one thing or another kept ruining his potions. Today it was an unstable flame that made something that should look pink into brown and boiled it into thick sticky goo. When he finally fixed the flame and attempted again, it seemed the container contaminated the water due to the previous failure, making this one a bad potion too. Why?! Raun 0 Posted March 24, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted March 24, 2016 (edited) Raun had had it. He decided to go back to Lorelei and demand another session where she teaches him how to craft potions all over again if he didn't succeed today. He sincerely hoped he didn't have to go back and that he succeeds today. However, unfortunately, he failed again both the times he attempted to make a potion. He was losing hope rapidly. And then he remembered Lorelei's words. The important lesson is to never lose hope. "Right..." He sighed heavily and decided to try again later. Raun 0 Posted March 25, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted March 25, 2016 (edited) Staying true to his master's advice, Raun came back the next day and decided to give it a shot again. Not gonna give up! "Let's see what I come up with today," he muttered to himself as he walked towards his crafting station. He kept all the reagents ready and set the flame to the right degree. Rubbing his hands, he began his work eagerly, hoping to make something useful that day.
