Nikodemus_Blackwood 1 Posted March 24, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2016 What is the process of leveling up? I assume it is based mainly on completing quests, threads, events, etc., and gaining SP. But at one point does a player move from level 1 > 2, 2 > 3, and so on? Is it every 5 SP, every so many completed thread/quests/events, or what? Thanks for the help!
Evander 0 Posted March 24, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 24, 2016 There's a chart on the SAO Site Guide (not the Beginner's Guide) that outlines how many SP are needed to level up. That's a link to the actual post with the chart, which is in the hidden section.

Nikodemus_Blackwood 1 Posted March 24, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted March 24, 2016 thanks guys! Does the guide mention what stat changes come with leveling up?
Opal 0 Posted March 24, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 24, 2016 The only stat the changes is your HP. It goes up 4 each level, I believe. And your level = the amount of Energy you have.
Azide 0 Posted March 24, 2016 #6 Share Posted March 24, 2016 Basically how the system works is that you level up through the means of SP (Skill Points), SP being gained through the completion of RP threads. Every thread will net you at least 1 SP, with quests giving you additional SP (the amount depends on the quest) on top of that. At various SP checkpoints/benchmarks, you gain a level, increases both your HP and your energy. After you reach certain level benchmarks/checkpoints, you gain access to higher tiers of equipment/items with increased enhancement capabilities. The bulk of how you actually increase your stats is done through investing your SP into stat-increasing skills, as well as acquiring stat-increasing equipment.
