[PP-F1] Easter Event Boss

(Writing post now that I am no long Salty)

Zelrius grinned, Boss fights were what he lived for afterall and a Field Boss of all things stood no chance against him. Though he had always known that, it was emphasized in his latest adventure with Dawn, The now Wolfgirl person. Still, A Boss was a Boss, and whether or not it could survive a hit from Zelrius didn't matter, so long as the Loot was good enough to reap. After Tristan rushed in and pulled the Bunny's Aggro, The golden Haired boy charged in with his swords, Slashing and cutting furiously at the Rabit, kicking off from it, and landing back behind The Invincible Warrior, A shield he knew he could count on to stand throughout the entire fight.

"Hah, called it." Takao said, although his tone lacked its usual enthusiastic cadence. The allegedly horrifying countenance the monster boasted did little to frighten the brunet, perhaps because he'd already become so jaded to the fears and trepidations of their digital prison. He only stared at it blankly whilst Zelrius struck first, whittling down its health in chunks. With nobody else seeming to move immediately after his attack finished, Takao shouldered the Inundator and effortlessly fell into a stance. The steel of his sword began to shimmer orange from the activation of a sword art, and with the «Charge» skill enabled, Takao sprung forward to claim the next eleven hits. Large, glowing red wounds ripped through the body of the rabbit with each slice, fading soon after they appeared. With the eleven hits completed, Takao backed away from the boss and left the stage open for the next assault.

That was one ugly creature. Luckily Manta was prepared to fight. She unsheathed her rapier as Takao finished up his attack, and rushed in herself. She charged at the boss, but it was too fast for her overconfident approach and easily slipped to the side as she flew past it. She quickly retreated back to the other players, wondering if they would ever let her be one of the first players again because of this failure.

[Easter Boss 0]

The giant rabbit was struck by what appeared to be a blurred flurry of swords, digital wounds being created all over the rabbits body, screaming in pain as they were struck. Once the attacks stopped however, the rabbit gained its composure and deftly avoided the next attack, hopping quite like a rabbit would. After that, the rabbit looked over to the cave and struck it hard, breaking the cave to smithereens and showing 4 chocolate eggs. The rabbit took one of the eggs and ate it, healing itself for some of the damage it received. Turning around suddenly, the rabbit pounced to Tristan and grabbed them, then bit with their mouth towards Tristan. Tristan managed to however just about escape the attack in the last moment, teeth skimming him as they closed next to him. Tristan recovered from the fall and readied himself again in case of any further attacks.

«Chocolate Treat» used, healed for 200 HP. 3 eggs left.

After a couple more players arrived, Jomei looked towards the cave in front of them that seemed horribly out of place. He waited there for the boss, his arms crossed and hood still over his head. Since this was the boss event that came with the Easter season, Jomei knew the boss would, of course, be some sort of rabbit. The ground began to rumble as the beast slowly emerged from the cave. Jomei puckered his lips and reached his hand across his body to grab the handle of Saint Andrew's Bane, whistling to the tune of 'Peter Cotton Tail.' His tune trailed off as he saw the large rabbit shaped monster pull its body from out of the cave. It was quite a terrifying site, but no one seemed to falter at its appearance. 

After watching the others take a crack at the boss, the rabbit destroyed the cave it emerged from, revealing four chocolate eggs. Jomei scoffed at the silly idea, but deadly nontheless. As it engulfed the chocolate treat, its health jumped up, proving this fight may be a little more difficult than originally led on. 

The Irishman could not help but smirk after he saw Dom take a large chunk out of the boss' health, leaving not much left for the players after it. Jomei turned to Opal, "I don't think I can take that thing out with one attack.. think you can clean up after me?" And with that, Jomei turned forward and used his charge skill to rush the rabbit. With his last step, he lunged upwards to get as close to the rabbit's skull face as possible, before unleashing his Over Radiation skill. In the air, Jomei delivered a flurry of stabs and slashes, red lines and holes marking where his attacks had left a critical hit. As the ginger hit the ground, he turned over his shoulder, "Opal, switch!"

One after another, the lights of the player's weapons flashed with impeccable aim and accuracy delivering blow after blow to the deranged Easter Bunny. Opal stood and watched from the distance as the others attack and whittled the Event Boss down next to nothing. She sighed, and hefted her blade upon her shoulder as if there was nothing more that could be done. Each attack that continued on, each thrust of a blade or the smash of a blunt weapon caused the Event Boss to lose more and more of its valuable HP. Much like the other bosses, Opal had doubt she would get a turn in to even poke the bunny. However, as the bunny turned and healed using a chocolate egg, she watched the HP bar blossom with green once more. More attacks ensued with Jomei following close behind. He made a valiant effort to knock the bunny down a peg or two, his sword art sweeping over that deranged lagomorph before he casually called out to Opal for a switch. The woman blinked, really? She grinned and swept her long Masamune X blade over into an arc as both hands slammed down on the hilt of her blade. The blades of grass bent beneath her as the silver blade began to hum with a pulsating silver aura. She attempted to run for the creature, her blade quickly dispersing the aura around it as she was able to mow the grass around it, but other than that, she had failed with the impressive hip-hop action of the lagomorph.

Things seemed to have been going incredibly well and then a few key damage dealers missed. It was quite likely that if even one of the two who had missed had managed to land a hit, that this entire fight would be over. By that same logic, if she even tried to hit it she was going to miss. IF Manta couldnt hit that thing, with all of her enhancements and mods, Ebony didnt stand a chance. She would stand back and just let the others do their thing.

More blades pierced the crimson fur of the creature. Digital streaks plaguing its frame as it bounced around to keep out of the players range. Narrowly avoiding what seemed to be the final blow from the second wave of humans, Easter scrambled to the cave and retrieved yet another chocolate egg. Indulging in its ability to heal the injured beast. Having scarfed the treat down, Easter plunged back into the battlefield, rummaging though its knotted tail as he procured what seemed like a traditional Easter egg. Leaping up, the boss cocked its arm back before snapping it forward and launching the egg towards the first two groups of players. The egg shattered and exploded on contact in front of the groups, pinging a few players each for an eggsplosive amount of damage. A high cackle of sorts emanated from the beast as it hopped around once more.

Mack watched as the first group of four players went in to tackle the Easter boss. A rabbit, naturally. An extremely deformed rabbit, similar to the Easter Bunny equivalent of a Ninja Turtle. Eventually, the battle rolled around to his group and it was time to deploy everyone. The burly blacksmith naturally assumed that, as he was at the head of his group, that he was in command. An excellent chance to test, on a small scale, whether or not people would follow him in combat. "Macradon, you're with me. Frontal assault and we'll tank for our group. Ariel and Oikawa, you're both faster, see if you can flank and get in a few hits while we draw aggro," Mack called, already springing into action to charge down the nimble beast that easily dodged his attacks.

While unsure if the things that have unfolded thus far were suppose to happen that way, the blonde simply shrugged it off and rolled with it. Mack assumed command of their and laid out orders for them to follow. Not really caring either way, Oikawa simply nodded and took off to the left of the beast as Mack drew in its attention. Wasting no time, he ex-Azure kicked forward and <Concentrated> as he <Charged> his <Over Radiation> Sword art and unleashed a dazzling barrage of jabs and thrusts unto the beast from behind. Dropping low, he locked eyes with Ariel, giving her the non-verbal okay to proceed from her side. Retreating back, he placed a gloved hand on Mack and spoke. "If she doesn't finish it, I'd be utterly surprised hehe. Good call-out by the way."

Sensing her destined one's lips brush against her cheek, the blonde couldn't help but smile and hug him. "Good morning to you too Nighto-kun. My own 'knight in shining armor'. Are you here to keep me safe?" she asked with a giggle as the fight was about to begin. Despite using a damage potion earlier the blonde began to think that it was in vain as the boss' HP bar was rapidly declining with each hit it recieved. When came Opal's turn the blonde was about to give up entirely on having the chance to hit the abomination they fought this time. It was even more easier than the Cupid boss event a while back. But as the two missed her heart skipped a beat and hope was slowly coming back to her.

She ignored Mack's words as he spoke to the two damage dealers of the team. After oikawa brilliantly lowered his HP to just the right amount the blonde couldn't help but smile. "Now you're mine!" she said with a delighted tone as she executed the pre-move for her perfected <<Charge>> sword skill and used it in combo with her most powerful sword art. She wasn't going to let this guy to get past this turn so she concentrated on the point of her initial strike. After that the system kicked in and helped the blonde reach a astonishing 13 hit combo executed at the maximum speed that the system permitted, amidst various showy spins and twirls that gave the blonde even more style. As the last hit of the combo Impaled the Bunny's heart it bursted into a explosion of pixels, showering the blonde that dealt the last hit. Once finished Ariel turned around to face the others and playfully stuck the tip of her tongue out in a cute way and brought the 'peace' sign she made with her hand to her left eye.

With the final strike landed by Ariel, the giant rabbit keeled backwards from all the blows by their combo, the boss being now near all red digital wounds covering the once black fur. The rabbit fell back to where their chocolate treats were, crushed and disappearing under them, then the boss themselves slowly fell away into pixels.

Before all the players there, a golden egg appeared into their inventory, which with it had a special property yet to have seen before in the game. It appeared within their inventory as a reward message, which attached to it said "Happy Belated Easter!".

Ariel received an even larger egg, which then burst open to show the Holy Sovereign Orb of Antioch as the Last Hit Reward on the boss.

Event rewards:

«Demonic Egg»: A golden shiny egg. A one use item will change the form of demonic equipment within its range, such as a dagger to a one handed straight word, but not a weapon to armor. The egg is destroyed after use. Enhancements are retained. Use of it should be out in your Evaluation showing the old and new version of the equipment and that the egg was used. (1 rewarded to all players who participated)

«Holy Sovereign Orb of Antioch»: A golden orb around held by a chain to be worn, said to have protected heroes from the rabbit. An inscription on it says 'Count to Three, no less'. +4 Prosperity, Bloodclot (Last Hit Reward to Ariel)
