Profile Username: Ronin Real name: Rae Age: 27 Gender: male Height: 5'7About: History/personality Rae lives with his wife and dog in run down little apartment in a big city. He's honest, hardworking, easily bored and something of an adrenaline junkie. When he's not busting his ass during the daily grind at work, he's home spending time with his family. His favorite past times are riding his motorcycle and skydiving, but when it's time to relax and lay low, he likes to jump into the virtual world and play some games. He loves the beach and is currently frustrated by the fact that he and his wife moved to a new city that doesn't have a beach near by. The feeling of the warm sand between his toes and the sound of the cool waves crashing onto the shore bring him incredible peace and relaxation. He has long been a fan of video games and all types of art and when he first got his hands on some nerve gear, he couldn't believe it. Usually this type of hardware would be well out of his pay grade, but a friend who had recently upgraded to a new console and platform, decided to gift Rae his old gear. Plugging in for the first time, Rae's eyes lit up to a whole new world of possibilities and he soon found himself spending more and more time inside the virtual world under his avatar Ronin. While his wife and dog soon found themselves neglected, Rae's fondness for the game world only grew and soon his personal life and marriage began to deteriorate. For now, things are holding together, but there's no telling if it will last. Virtues:• Self Critical - Ronin is extremely self critical, but he views this as a virtue. This is due to the fact that it always keeps him pushing himself forward and wanting to improve. He strives to be the best he can be and won't stop until he improves or progresses beyond his current state.• Paranoid - Due to his history of substance abuse, Ronin had something of a paranoia complex, which he believes serves him well and keeps him from making any rash decisions that might kill him. He views this as an extreme sense of caution and one that keeps his eyes open and his mind moving. He looks for the exits often and is usually ready to react much sooner than others.• Diligent - Always looking at the small details, Ronin is rarely caught off guard. He likes to dig through every word of a book and study every little inch of a map. He considers himself well informed and likes to keep it that way so he isn't surprised. This coupled with his paranoia keeps him on his toes, with his eyes and ears open, watching and listening closely.Flaws: • Addict - In the real world, Rae is addicted to cigarettes and sex. Therefore, his character shares some of those tendencies and is frequently fiending for a fix. His addictive personality expands beyond tobacco and intimacy however and this is seen with Ronin in the virtual world. Spending more and more time inside the game and becoming more addicted in the process.• Judgemental - Quick to judge a book by its cover, Ronin takes one look at people and makes up his mind about them. This can often be a disservice, because many people are much more than meets the eye. First impressions are everything to Ronin and if you don't wow him right away, he probably won't pay you any further mind.• Obsessive - This goes and in hand with his addictive personality and his self criticism and once he's latched on, he's hard pressed to let go. He is obsessive in his desire to grow and progress as a character, gaining higher levels and more power. He is infatuated with the grind and can be often found farming for hours on end. After trying his hand at some battling, he took on a quest and begun his profession as a Blacksmith.
