[PP-F1] Cooking Up Trouble «Earning a Living» (Seul)

The sun shone heavily overhead on Floor 1, resulting in a very warm day. There wasn't a single cloud in the azure blue sky, and there wasn't any chance of any shade in the next few hours. That wouldn't slow Gorou down though, because he was determined to find something, lightly jogging through the city. Last night, he had come to the conclusion that he wanted to take up cooking as a profession and was currently on the search for whatever npc would appear and offer the quest to help him in this endeavor. As of right now however, his luck wasn't the best, and his search had been fruitless so far. Gorou let out a huff of air, when he stopped his power walk at town square. "This is going nowhere." he grumbled, and gave the area a quick survey. He was probably too eager yet again this day. That was becoming a problem in the recent week. "I really need to slow down. Maybe ask for directions" he rationalized.

There were a few players here and there, but none of them looked to be idle. They were all doing something, or on their way to be doing something, so Gorou decided to let them be on their way. His brow furrowed however in response to seeing that almost everyone looked busy. "Who needs directions?" he grumbled. He decided to give up on that idea, and started to go through the city's streets yet again.

"I should just poke my head into one of these restaurants." he thought. He didn't know why he didn't do that before, and was feeling somewhat foolish for not considering that. Gorou approached a few npc owned restaurants in the meantime but they looked to be closed, or with the doors and windows boarded up and abandoned for some odd reason. "Am I in a quiet part of town?" he asked himself, stopping in the middle of the road, and opening up his menu to look at the floor map.

Another day off meant Seul was free to relax without having to uphold his responsibilities to the KoB. Times like these were perfect for exploring the various parts of the place he called his home. Despite living in the Starting City, he was always able to find something new and interesting to do with his time away from work. He had been walking for quite some time and as such he wasn't wearing any equipment aside from his black t-shirt and casual pants. Emerging from a side street in one of the less frequently trafficked parts of the city brought him back to what one of the main roads where a single player was looking over some map data. Seeing as how he didn't have anything else planned for the day he'd make it his mission to lend a hand. Or at the very least, try to help and annoy the guy in the process. "...You look a little lost. Maybe I can help? I do walk around this place pretty often."

Since this place had appeared to be abandoned he wasn't expecting anyone to show up so suddenly. The newcomer had caught Gorou completely off guard, causing him to lightly jump in reaction to hearing him speak. "Whoa!" he gasped, before turning around to see who this person was. The guy was looking rather casual for this death game with the outfit he was wearing. After giving him a quick glance him up and down, he let out a short cough. "You startled me." he said plainly, before sending the menu off with a swipe of his hands. He scratched his elbow with his head turned in reaction to what this new guy had said.

"That obvious, huh?" he remarked. Gorou felt a bit ashamed that he was read so easily, but simple shrugged in response. "Yeah. I am. I just can't seem to find anything around here." he continued before turning his attention back towards the stranger. He figured asking for some directions wouldn't hurt, but with this guy's outfit he looked to be a bit... inexperienced with the game, and was unsure with how much help he could be despite him saying that he wandered around here often.

"I'm trying to find a place where I could pick up a profession." he finally added after considering the fact that looks might be deceiving in this guy's case, and that he might actually be able to lend Gorou a hand. "Cooking, to be specific."

"Sorry." He hadn't intended to startle the player, though it would seem he had anyway. Seul was always amazed by his knack for doing things like this, but would never give it much thought for long after. In most cases once all was said and done he was thankful for being fortunate enough to share in the experiences of others around him. Seeing other people's stories unfold before his eyes was one of his favorite parts about being trapped in a world such as Aincrad. But these thoughts were getting off topic. By the sound of it, this man wanted to take the Earning a Living quest. Only problem was the knight wasn't anymore knowledgeable about the starting location for cooking than he was. Seul was had become a performer during his run through and when he had taken the quest it was initiated by accident simply through running into a travelling band of NPCs. Though such a small detail wasn't about to stop him from helping. "I thought so; people usually look at maps when they're trying to figure out where they want to go. As far as cooking is concerned though... Beats me. But I can help find the NPC; I've got luck when it comes to these types of things!"
