About: History/personality

Gaster is an inventor who, for the time he had, kept to himself and never really conversed with people. There were days where he would keep himself locked in his workshop, and away from any sort of human interaction. His neighbor [REDACTED] would visit him with food and drink to keep him healthy, and he would he would sheepishly accept their gifts. Over time, Gaster began to build a connection with [REDACTED], and began welcoming them into his workshop. One day, Gaster's creative flow ran into a stump. He didn't think much of it, so he let it go. As time carried on, he found that he still couldn't get any ideas for inventions. Having little to no one to turn to, Gaster called upon his only friend for help. When counseling [REDACTED] for assistance, they suggested he try a game called Sword Art Online. He'd never heard of the game, but he thought he'd give it a try.

Working up the courage, he went out, bought a NerveGear and Sword Art Online, and returned to his workshop. Gaster plugged the NerveGear into his computer, and issued the command. "Link start." And before he knew it, he was on the fast track to Sword Art Online.

William D. Gaster is a shy, but also affectionate soul. He is uncomfortable in public situations, but the right person might be able to get on his good side, while he gets on theirs. Gaster takes every opportunity he can to be friendly with people, even if it means stepping out of his comfort zone, and does his best to remain involved in the conversation. He is a rather curious fellow, and while his curiosity may be called 'childish', he is still able to point out details and oddities that others wouldn't even think of. He has a great imagination, which has aided him in creating many inventions in the past, but currently fuels his daydreams until he is able to be inspired to make something brilliant. Gaster is a very gentle speaking person, making it hard for other people to hear him. When trying to be louder for the other person, he often makes himself more uncomfortable. Gaster is Also a pacifist. He would rather avoid a fight than get into one, but if his family is in danger or he has no choice, he will.

Virtues:

Affectionate - Gaster has plenty of love to give to the people near and dear to him. His timid nature prevents him from establishing many close connections with people. If a better relationship is established with him, he will be more willing to give and receive affection from others. 

Friendly - Gaster is generally a very friendly fellow. If his ever able to work up the courage, he will try to confront people to try and socialize with them. If he is the first to be confronted, he'll do his best to keep himself involved in the conversation.

Curious - Gaster has a curiosity that one might call 'childish'. He'll find details and oddities in details that people wouldn't think to find oddities. The things he finds to be the most curious are the things that are the most difficult to figure out.

Imaginative - Gaster's imagination is a machine beyond his own devices, and has in turn inspired plans for many an invention. When he isn't thinking of plans for inventions, he'll often be off daydreaming about who-knows-what. When he's not daydreaming, he'll be projecting his imaginations onto anybody that would happen to be conversing with him.

Flaws:

Shy - Gaster is very timid and is generally uncomfortable in public situations. If he feels too uncomfortable in a given situation, he'll stop speaking. He's constantly on edge, and will jump at the smallest of things.

Soft-spoken - Gaster is naturally a quiet talker, or perhaps he's so quiet because he's timid. The quiet volume of his voice makes it difficult for people to understand what he says. When trying to work up the courage to speak louder, he finds himself growing increasingly uncomfortable with the situation presented.

Pacifistic - Gaster would rather avoid a fight if possible. He doesn't like fighting, and will try not to unless his family is in danger, or as a last resort. When he is forced to fight, Gaster will try and stay at the back, of the group, waiting things out, until he is provoked,
