[SP-F6] It's a me <<The Gemini>>

Allania was on the 6th floor, she had just arrived there from the first, stepping off the teleporting pad. It was her first time in the Settlement of Amazon, all the NPC's here were women, something unique to this floor, however dotted about within the crowd were males. Though they were the players of this world, evident from the plumbob above each of their head. This was a new floor to her, recently Allania had been a frequent resident of the floor just below their feet, the desert that was the fifth. Allania was up here to try and scout about, to see if this place was as viable a hunting ground as the desert. 

Walking away from the teleporter Allania headed towards the edge of the village, past the numerous tents and timber building. Reaching the edge she looked out at the jungle around her. This could be risky, but she would have to give it a go at some point, so why not now?

Allania headed out into the jungle, her familiar by her side. It was going to be an adventurous day. Who knows what the jungle holds. Almost all the floors still have a secret or two to be discovered. Something hidden, something that no player has seen past or present. Allania wandered out and began her search, what will I find today? the thought running through her head.

It was hot in the jungle, but not like the desert. It was a different type of heat. In this land is was a wet heat, the dampness in the air could be felt as you breathed in. It was a lot easier to overheat here in this world, even if you were surrounded by so much liquid and moisture. 

Allania weaved her way through the towering trees, the vagrant vines which wandered from the trees and the dense undergrowth. It was difficult to travel in these areas, Allania took out her dagger and began o use it to help in her progress, cutting away at the foliage to allow her to move easier.

First things first, let's see what materials this place has to offer, she thought. With her task in mind Allania began to scrupulously search the plants, searching for anything that could be of use. Allania however had no clue as to what she was looking, in the desert it was easy, there were so few things there that had a possibility. Yet here anything and everything had the potential to be a material and she had no idea what would actually be one. Her search slowed her down to a snails pace, barely moving through the jungle as she tried to search each and every one of the plants around her.

After she searched and searched she finally found a plant that was harvestable. It was a small leafy plant, waxen in texture. Plucking at it gently Allania with her fingers. When it popped up that she had harvested the item, she put it into her inventory and continued on her way. Now that she had a material, and she knew roughly what kind of a thing she was looking for. Well, at least one plant that seemed to be harvestable in her jungle she was satisfied. It was now time to see what sort of mobs spawned on this floor.

As Allania weaved around in the jungle she found herself in a small clearing. On one side of the clearing there seemed to be a giant spiderweb, many many times larger than she was. The creature that ha made it must have been huge, he individual threads were almost the width of her wrist. As she was admiring it, Allania did not notice the group of spiders that had come up behind her, as she leaned forward to get a closer look they launched at her, aiming for where her body once was, missing massively. When she heard the crash of a creature she looked op at the beasts. They were huge, the hairs on their legs like stakes sticking out from their body. With ther dagger in hand she launched at them, the dagger slicing through their flesh as she spun in a circle, cutting into them all.

She did not pause in her attack, once again spinning in a circle, and once again cutting into their flesh, this time deeper. Dealing more damage. As Allania came to the finish of her spin she skidded to a halt on one knee, eyes on the spiders waiting for heir response. She did not have to wait long, once their target had stopped moving they launched at her, their fangs trying to clamp down upon her torso. Luckily her armour protected her, deflecting the blow and scraping deep wounds into the creatures faces.

 Allania jumped backwards, breaking their assault, causing them to miss. Before they could prepare themselves to attack again Allania leapt forward at them, dagger raised as she swung around in a wide circle, her dagger digging deep in each of their abdomens. As her spin had finished the Spiders all exploded into many a fragment, red pixelated shards hanging in the air. They were certainly pretty, the way the danced there, hovering for a moment before slowly floating down and fading to nothing. Once they were gone, Allania went and picked up her materials and carried on.

Time for a rest, she thought, settling herself down in the clearing. It was swelteringly hot in this jungle, the moisture in the hair preventing sweating from acting how it was meant to. As a result Allania was covered in it, a thin film covering her body. She wafted her face, trying to cool herself down with the cool breeze that it produced. Allania sat there, looking up at the canopy above her head, there was not a hint of the sky, the only light came from the luminescent plants around her and what light was able to break through the plant cover above her head. Regardless it was still bright, at least bright enough for one to see in colourful detail.

Allania lied down on the ground, the intermittent dirt and moss underneath her acting as a cushion. While she lay there Blaze came over and tried to nuzzle at her, trying to help her to recover, but it did nothing, she was already back at full health. Allania lazily rested a hand upon Blaze's back, idly stroking his soft fur. "It's okay, I'm fine. If you want me to avoid getting hit I can try that new item I have with me. It'll make me harder to hit. How does that sound?" she asked, the question just going out into the air.  What she got a response was her hand being bounced up and down by Blaze hopping about. "I'll take that as a yes" she said, sitting up and swiping her menu open. She took off her dress and equipped her cape. "This should do it" she said to Blaze.

Allania watched as her energy gauge slowly filled up, reaching its capacity. With a sigh she got up, it seemed like it was time to get on moving once again. When on her feet she brushed down her back with her hands, removing stray tendrils of moss and flecks of dirt that may be on her new cloak. Now prepared Allania set off, heading in the same direction that she had before the fight. Heading deeper into the dense jungle. Ducking down under the vines that hung at head height.

Allania wandered through the jungle, wondering what to do now. She knew that she could fight mobs here and survive and that she could comfortably scavenge for materials. That was all she had come here to do today. With her checklist complete to a sufficient degree Allania turned back on her path and started to head on back to Amazon. As Allania was walking a figure appeared to be going in the opposite way. They met in the clearing she had fought the spiders. When the stranger was near they called out to Allania "Hey there", waving a hand above their head. Allania came to a stop in front of the stranger. No name appeared above his head, nor a plumbob. So he was an NPC, that she could be sure of. "Hey, what are you doing out here?" she said from in front of him.

"I was just out here, looking for someone to duel" the figure said. It was weird, Allania had never met an NPC that would offer a duel, at least outside of any safezone. "Don't worry" it said, a smile on their face, "just a friendly duel". Allania stood there, unsure how to respond to this figure, after a short while of consideration Allania agreed cautiously "okayyy" the last syllable being stretched out and fading away.

As soon as she had said that the NPC sent her a duel offer. Hesitating, Allania pressed accept. Once the button had been pressed a smile crossed the strangers face. A vile smile. Shifting into an exact copy of her, gear and all. It threw Allania off completely, the figure even assumed the same position, dagger raised, point out from her face, ready to strike forward. Above their head now shone the name Gemini. This fight was not going to go well.

As the counter ticked down Allania's eyes were rushing over the figure in front of her. It was an exact match, the bodice, the cape and even er dagger. Not a single fault in the copy. This was going to be a close match. When the counter struck zero a klaxon sounded, signalling the start of the fight. Without hesitation they both rushed forward, completely synchronised. In the centre their blades metal, sparks flying as they slashed against one another. Their blades a blur as they traded blows, neither landing a blow on the other.

Their blades continued to clash against one another, neither getting an upper hand. However as the deadly dance continued Allania's blade managed to slip past the Gemini's, her dagger flashing in an arc, slicing deep into the Gemini, causing it to stand for just a moment in shock before being knocked to the side by Allania's leg that came battering round twice, slamming into the Gemini's side. The Gemini absorbed the blow, skidding across the dirt and moss, on its knees after the blow.

The Gemini was quick to recover, launching forward from its kneeling position, their dagger singing as it cut through the air. It was on the offensive now, all Allania could do was defend, deflecting blow after blow on the edge of her dagger, hoping that an opening would come soon. Whenever a chance seemed to appear Allania moved for it, only for it to be a feint, the Gemini bringing their dagger round to strike at her. Each time though Allania avoided the blade, her cloak seeming to help hide her position even though they were locked in combat.

Once again they were locked in that deadly dance. Neither giving an inch, they were fighting on par, even though the Gemini had been struck so. After one clash of the blades, their daggers became locked in the centre, the two struggling against one another, fighting with their strength to throw the other off the centre. it was to no avail though, each had the exact same strength. Pushing against the blade, Allania leapt back, placing some distance between her and the Doppelganger. Not a blow had been landed against her. Yet.

Allania stood there, breath catching in her chest. It had been a short fight thus far but far more intense than any she had been a part of. They were so equally matched that their blades clashed effortlessly against one another. They were getting nowhere, after her only blow neither had managed to land a blow upon the other. Not a single nick. So Allania stood there, trying to recuperate herself for a moment before going at her opponent. However before Allania could do anything the Gemini charged at her, tripping over their own feet and skidding along the floor towards her. Allania could not help but crack a smile at the figure on the ground, So that's what I look like when I trip over.

Allania looked at the figure on the ground and waited for her to get up. She did not want to attack someone who has so defencelessly sprawled upon the ground. Allania let out a sigh, why do I always do this? This is a fight to the death yet I'm stood here waiting for them to get up. When the Gemini got to their feet and prepared themselves again Allania raised her dagger. I shall finish this now. They both ran forward, but the Gemini went faster, her blade slicing before Allania's, cutting deep and carving an infinity sign into her chest, the damage ripping through her armour. Allania watched as her health bar dropped to but a slither, a fraction of her former safety. Looking back at the Gemini, a smug grin on its face Allania went on the offensive. Her dagger smashing through that of the Gemini, knocking theirs to a side as she too carved an infinity sign upon their body. Allania was less devastating but it did the trick, once the final cut had been performed the Gemini stood there for a moment before exploding into pixelated fragments. The once Allania Doppelganger defeated.

Allania collapsed to the ground, opening her menu and putting on her normal dress, putting her cape into her inventory. The dress was comforting, something that she had had for a longer time. Longer even than her Bodice. It helped her feel safer, even if the cape offered much greater protection. Allania just lay there, wincing and panting, her health pitifully low from that blow. It had been a single hit but it had nearly killed her, ripping straight through her armour. Any more damaging and it would have killed her in that instant. That would have been her final breath. She was not satisfied with that, she would not let that be the end of her. Well, it hadn't but the incident spurred her on to fight longer, to train harder, so that she didn't just die. Alone. In the middle of a jungle, blinking out of the world without a second thought. How many would notice my absence?, she thought, very few probably. I can't leave it like that, I need to help as many as possible in this world.

Allania got up, wincing from the pain. She then began to look around, looking for any materials that the enemy had dropped before they vanished to nothingness. While she searched she waved off the worry of Blaze, telling him to wait just a little longer while she searched. After all she was safe for now, nothing was going to just pop up out of nowhere. At least she hoped nothing would. Allania searched but could find nothing. With no materials in sight Allania gave up, slumping back to the ground, breathing hard. "It seems like I may have use for that healing of yours" she said, looking at Blaze, a weak smile upon her face.
