Khrysaor 0 Posted April 14, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2016 (edited) Welcome All To The Shield and Sword Emporium Within the great Tree Trunk of Florenthia Village, in which the town is suspended by the branches from the giant tree. Homes mainly on the outskirts held up by small branches, while all the inns and shops are located within the tree trunk itself. A quaint, little shop made from wood stood at the edge of the tree trunk. It was mainly a Japanese Styled shop. With a stone pathway on top of the branch led to the shop from the main Shopping District. The entrance is a Japanese sliding door, and just beside the door is a window which is always left open, that contains a small flower garden. Hanging just above the garden is a Open/Closed sign. After, opening the door, there is a small area where shoes are taken off and put, before stepping onto the wooden floor of the shop. Inside of the shop has display cases full of weapons. Also, lining the walls and corners is armor and shields. At the back, is a counter where the owner is seen sometimes, while at other time he might be heard forging a new item within the forge. Khrysaor 0 Posted April 14, 2016 Author #2 Share Posted April 14, 2016 (edited) DAY 1: Khrysaor was outside his newly built looking at it with admiration. He loved the look and feel of the place. He went inside the shop. Travelling to the back to enter the Forge, and start his very first day of making a weapon. Taking out two pieces of ore he started to work on them. He started on his first one. He had a feeling things would go well for him today, and happily used his hammer. Getting distracted with these thoughts, made him lose concentration, and by the time he looked at his ore, it was all flat and useless, not good enough to even transform into something. Throwing it away, he mumbled, "I was having a good day and this had to happen, next one I should focus more." He started his work on the second ore, banging on it to shape it down. The second one was making a pretty decent shape, and after a few more hits with his hammer, it started to transform. The second ore piece transformed into a good condition rapier. Khrysaor 0 Posted April 15, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted April 15, 2016 (edited) Day 2: Khrysaor was resting out on his small porch out back, behind his store, enjoying the sunlight on his body. He felt happy knowing yesterday went good at least forging wise. He made pretty good items, but hopefully today he can add extra things to his weapons. Khrysaor thought, 'I think I had enough time to enjoy and rest up, now on to forging.' So, he headed back inside to try to make more weapons. He was going to try and go for making a Katana and a One-Handed Straight Sword. Taking out the two ores he was going to work with today, he started on his first one. He had a feeling things would go well for him today, and happily used his hammer. He tried to shape it properly into a sword but he missed a hit he was supposed to do in one spot and hit it in another causing the shape of the sword to go awry, and become useless to him. He started on his second piece of ore and actually concentrated on making it into a sword. He continued on doing it, but even though the shape looked right, It wasn't shape-shifting and transforming. Khrysaor thought that he must have done something wrong to not form properly. But when he looked at it again, it did change a little but not a lot making it a okay weapon but not a good one. Khrysaor 0 Posted April 16, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted April 16, 2016 (edited) Day 3: Khrysaor was walking from the teleportation area, he had came back from another day of training on floor 1, and was dead tired. He still wanted to at least get in some experience into smithing a weapon, before the day ended. That was why he came to his shop, unlocking the door, he entered and went straight to the forge. Taking out his trusty hammer and heating up his forge, he started to get to work on a ore piece. During his work he started to snooze on and off, but still managed to shape the weapon properly. Khrysaor placed his creation into the forge hoping to let it heat up a bit before he started to actually shape it more delicately. During his wait, he fell asleep , and abruptly woke-up to owls hooting outside. He looked around at the clock and was shocked to see it was the middle of the night, and he sharply turned to the forge opening it up, he saw the ore he was using melted in liquid metal. His material became unusable, and not salvageable. He thought, 'Well I guess I should give up for the night and start again bright and early tomorrow.' Khrysaor 0 Posted April 18, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted April 18, 2016 (edited) Day 4: Khrysaor started his day bright and early completely fresh. He thought of the other night when he made a horrible item and ho he messed. He vowed to do much better today. Getting his two new ore pieces out, Khrysaor went to work. Using his hammer he worked on them one turned out to be a complete loss, while the other one even if not his greatest piece, turned out, okay. It was rough around the edges but still usable. It turned into a One-Handed Straight Sword. Khrysaor 0 Posted April 20, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted April 20, 2016 (edited) DAY 5: Khrysaor was thinking about his last few days on the job, and how he sucked. He hated he could not make any decent weapons. All the items he made were horrible. Hoping today some of his experience would pay off. He started his shaping of the two new ores. Bothe actually had a decent shape this time. One transformed and revealed itself to be a One-Handed War Hammer and the other did not transform, but he had an idea and hopefully it would pay off. He put the sword into the forge to heat up just a bit, and when he got it out Khrysaor started to hammer it, to cool it down and make slight changes to its shape, forming a good Katana. Khrysaor 0 Posted April 21, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted April 21, 2016 (edited) DAY 6: Khrysaor was humming his favorite tune, while cleaning up the shop for the day. Business was still a little down, of course it was he hasn't truly got much experience yet and items he makes aren't top quality. After, cleaning up he thought he should try to work on making more crafts. He brought out his two ore pieces he was going to work with and started hammering them. Instantly the shape was coming out much better than all his other crafts before, and transformed into weapons at a much faster rate. When he observed them he knew he made his best weapons yet. They were sturdy, sharp and nicely structured. A curved sword and a war hammer were produced. Khrysaor 0 Posted April 25, 2016 Author #8 Share Posted April 25, 2016 (edited) DAY 7: Khrysaor was busy getting ready for the new day. He planned on opening the shop only after he was done making the crafts for the day. Today, he wanted to focus and get the best ever weapons made. He pulled out his two ores and started to work on 1 of them, by first putting it in the forge to heat up. After, waiting a few minutes he pulled it out and started to hammer away, all the while concentrating on what he was doing. The shape seemed to be coming out perfectly and when it was ready. It started to transform and the curved sword came out looking good. He checked it's stats and was surprised by it being a perfectly made sword, and thought since this was his very first perfect he made. He decided to keep it for his use. He started to work on the second ore following the same process and hoping with all his might that he would create another perfect item. After hammering away at it, it seemed to be coming out good as well, but his gut was telling him he made a few miss location hammers and his gut was right when it transformed in to a straight sword. It was only a rare not perfect item, but in the end he was very happy with his creations, and displayed his very first rare item into the store. Taking out his three trusty ore pieces for the crafts. He also equipped out the Ganesha Statue and put it on the work table, it would hopefully help make his crafts better. After, placing it on the table he felt a peaceful aura go through his body and knew it was time to work. Khrysaor wanted to try his hand at making a shield. The first ore material he worked on turned into a great shield. He had to hammer it down to flatten it, and when it started to transform it formed a rare item. Khrysaor 0 Posted May 13, 2016 Author #10 Share Posted May 13, 2016 (edited) DAY 9: Khrysaor was sitting outside the back of his store and relaxing under the sun. It was a long day, but he stood up and went back inside. Khrysaor needed to get down to making a few more crafts for the day. He could finally start to work on some armor, Khrysaor began the long work of shaping the ore into to look like a item that can be worn on the shoulder. He heated up the metal in the forge and when he let it out. The ore material started to transform into a perfect pair of shoulder guards. Now he had to get to work on his last two ore pieces and he thought that if they turn out to be well made crafts he may just decide to keep them. First, he worked on a chest/breast plate heavy armor, and after hammering away at it in different angles. He was able to produce a perfect item. Khrysaor's last craft for the day, and he first heated up his ore piece till it was completely melted then put the melted metal in a shield shaped tray. Letting it cool down for a few hours the mettalic liquid started hardening. Khrysaor then took it out and examined the shield. He looked at the stats and it turned out to be another perfect item produced. He took out four pieces of ore to get down to some work. He was going to be trying to create some specific crafts today. He went to his inventroy and brought out a trinket the Crescent Moon to lay on his work table. It was going to help him in his crafts. He started to get to work on his first ore piece, but after hammering it a few times it deformed and did not appear to even look like a sword. His second craft only came out to be a good item, but his last two came out to be perfects. A sword and a shied. at least now he knew he got the specifics of the sword right with what his friend wanted it to be. Parts: Blade: The blade is 27 inches long and the width of the blade stays narrow (with a slight taper) up until the last 30% of its length is wider and slightly more flared outward than is the rest of the blade. The finish on the leading (cutting) edge of blade (the entirety of which is razor sharp) slowly undulates where it has been put the quenching process. The rest of the blade excluding this undulating pattern is thicker and shows two parallel lines (in silver inlay) following the grain pattern of the metal used for the blade. These lines are composed of microscopic lightning shaped lines composed crystals of martensite embedded in a pearlite matrix. One side of the blade shows engraved hieroglyphs spelling out a paralysis curse and the other side sports the same curse engraved in Japanese characters, both in gold inlay. The body of the blade is made of black colored Wootz steel. Spoiler Guard (and the part between the blade and the handle): Spoiler The end part of the blade above the tang (the part that fits into the hollow of the handle) is covered with a wedge shaped metal collar that keeps the sword from falling out of the scabbard and to support the fittings below. This is followed by a large oval-shaped gold metal hand-guard with a silver inlay of the Yamata-no- Orochi (seven headed serpent monster in Japanese mythology) with washers in the form of Apep (Egyptian serpent demon of destruction) fitted above and below the hand-guard which in turn is fitted around a cap-like collar which surrounds the hollow end of the handle of this sword, thus securing the fitting of the tang of the blade into the hollow in the handle. Lastly there is a small peg which locks the tang of the blade into the handle. The handle of this sword is 9 inches in length and is made of a single thick bar of gold metal. It is studded with small, diamond shaped nubs of gold metal for the purpose of increasing the grip on the handle. This handle is wrapped in navy blue colored silk which covers the nubs of gold metal on it. The handle’s end is encapsulated in a rectangular, thick black Wootz steel pommel. Spoiler Scabbard (Sheath): Spoiler This is made of a hollowed out gold metal bar which has been molded to fit the blade inside it and has a protective fitting at the end made of a small but thick rectangular piece of black Wootz steel. About 3 inches or so below the opening of the scabbard (which has a brace to secure the blade inside itself the scabbard), there is a small knob around which is tied a thick navy blue silk cord which is used to link the scabbard to the belt. To finish the scabbard has silver inlay which depicts the form of Seiryuu the Azure Dragon of the East on one side and on the other side, there is another silver inlay which depicts Wadjet (a snake goddess in Egyptian mythology). Hakai 0 Posted May 31, 2016 #13 Share Posted May 31, 2016 Hakai walked into the shop, glancing around at the items on display. There was a cool event that was supposed to go down soon, and she wanted to make sure that she survived it, especially since she had gotten that item. she didnt want it to get lost in the games coding or something. She pulled down a black chainmail shoulder piece and brought it to the front of the shop, passing 1400 col over the counter to him. "Thank you." She replied, donning the armor and making her way out of the shop.
Khrysaor 0 Posted May 31, 2016 Author #14 Share Posted May 31, 2016 Khrysaor was sitting at the front counter dozing off, when he heard the chime of the front door. He looked and saw a player come in and look through the items that were on display. He saw her eyes light up. Khrysaor knew she was here to buy something so he got his counter ready, and when he saw her pick up the chainmail shoulderwrap armor, he was delighted that he got a huge sale today. He rung up the cost of the armor at 1400 Col, and she handed it to him. As the new owner of his first sale was leaving he called out, "Thanks for the buisiness, come again whenever you need anything new." Lhrysaor then went back to his chair where he was going to begin his nap. His last happy thoughts were about all the things he would use his Col. for. +1400 Col. -Chainmail ShoulderWrap

Bhairyuu 0 Posted October 25, 2016 #20 Share Posted October 25, 2016 Bhairyuu had commissioned his good friend and trusted ally Khrysaor, one of the <<Blacksmiths>> he knew personally, to craft a custom-order sword some time ago and had left him with the blueprints for the sword which he had christened <<Embodiment of Apophis>>. Since that time, Bhairyuu had been waiting on pins and needles for his buddy Khrysaor to finish making the sword, all the while envisioning all the sweet adventures he could go on once he had that sword in his hand and not end up dead in some dank, dreary ditch somewhere. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, he received a PM from Khrys informing him that the sword was finally completed and to hurry over to the shop as soon as possible. So, on that day, after quickly finishing his morning rituals, he headed out to the teleportation gate and announced in a clear voice "Teleport! Floor 8!" With that, in a blinding flash of bluish-white light, Bhairyuu was instantly sent over to Floor 8 and arrived at the corresponding teleport gate in the safe zone of that area, Florenthia Village. He looked around for a bit as he was intrigued by the rather curious way in which the village had been laid out, but did not spend more time checking out the sights. Instead, he followed the directions given to him by his friend Khrys and soon arrived at the stone path leading up to Khrys's shop, which to his surprise was a Japanese-style building. He slid the shoji door open and headed inside after spotting Khrys at the counter, immediately going up to him with a slight smirk on his thin lips, greeting him "Yo, Khrys! How's it going? I heard you finally finished that custom-order sword I asked you to make and have it ready for me to take with me..." Bhairyuu paused looking around for the sword on the public display shelves in the shop, but didnt find it there which puzzled him initially tll he realized a custom-order item would not be put on display like the other regular items. So he turned back to Khrys and asked "So...where's it, bud?"
