The Greeks attained glory through their achievements. Rome conquered countless lands through their legion's discipline. Peasants rose above their class through sheer will and force. Artists of the Renaissance toiled for hours on their creations. Revolutionaries poured their lives into making their dreams a reality. The Industrial Revolution was carried forwards due to the work of the bourgeois and the proletariat. It was clear what underlying current connected all of these together, and the path he needed to take to become a better person was evident. One grew better and succeeded due to hard work and persistence. The only way to become better, both morally and physically, was through countless hours of work, and a devotion to this goal. No matter how gifted, or talented one was, without hard work, their abilities were rendered worthless. This was the only path open before him. Evander stood up in the dying rays of the sun and began to walk back to the Town of Beginnings. He finally had an aspiration, a purpose, which he would pursue till the ends of the Earth.
