Emerald Orchid Tavern

The bar would be a medieval style tavern, all dark wood counters and heavy furniture. The large room wouldn't be gloomy but cosy, warmly lit with a small wood fire in the corner. The odd lamp hangs, gently swinging in the breeze interspersed randomly around the building. The sound of hearty conversation percolates through the establishment, filtering down from the upper levels as well as from the groups of players clustered around tables. The scent of beverages of all types and the faint smell of wood smoke mix and complement each other throughout the bar. There seemed to be a tall burly barkeep behind the heavy bar, being helped out by a short blonde barmaid. Patrons are chattering all around the tavern, welcoming those who enter.

A large rectangular oak table would be positioned just in front of the roaring fire, a tall bearded man wearing green commoner's clothes and a crimson red cloak with an KoB insignia emblazoned upon it. He is chatting with a few other players, exchanging tall tales. A huge jagged red and black greatsword would be placed against the table, along with several glasses upon the table.

The door creaked open and the wind howled through the tavern. A shadowed figure stood in the door frame, there clothes wildly flowing with the wind and rain. After a few brief moments nothing happened then a hooded figure revealed themselves by accidentally stumbling down and towards the bar. Hydra saw a few people giving him odd looks, he had been weary after a long travel so found it to bothersome to care. Slowly he pulled down the hood revealing a wavy set of brown hair that had grown considerably since the beginning of his adventure. The hair flowed about halfway down his neck towards the shoulders, it was wavy and ragged but he was contempt with it. "Something strong please." He placed a small pouch of col on the counter and received a small glass of whiskey. He examined it before taking a small sip, it was fiery enough to burn the back of his throat. "Thanks." Turning around to find a table he noticed a familiar face. "Eth?" Slowly he walked over and to his surprise found that it was his friend who had helped him in the early days. "How have you been?" He said enthusiastically pulling up a seat by the hearth.

Khrysaor laid down in park looking at the clouds roll by. He was tired, and sick of being the game. Khrysaor thought it may be best to not think about the death game for some time, but anything he did always brought his thoughts back to having to complete the game to walk free from the game. He decide to take a small walk around the city and see if there was anything that could interest him. While, he took a leisurely pace, he noticed a small tavern. He decide he could use a good drink, so he opened the door to the Emerald Orchid Tavern and looked around. Khrysaor noticed a few occupants there already, but decided to ignore them for the time being and sat down on one of the stools.

The door burst open and from it was a very loud teenager, he added a couple of shouts for a dramatic entrance, but he fell on his face instead of looking cool. "Whooo! That was awesome!" A spinning chair would make his entrance even better! Vectis always wanted to ride a roller coaster, but they'd never let him get through because of his height, a staggering five feet and an inch tall. "Is there a party going on here or what?" The mood already became much more... Loud thanks to the blondie that just barged in, "So they really are stupid huh?" The tone of his voice would suggest he was talking about himself.

Needless to say, Whit hated the rain, so at the first sign of raindrops he decided to follow behind another player as he took refuge inside a bar. It was the first bar he had ever entered, mostly because he disliked the bitter taste of alcohol... "Not because I'm under the drinking age, totally..." Regardless, he had seen his fair share of movies, enough that he knew entering a bar meant you had to be a certain level of manliness. Manliness, just gotta be serious until the rain died down. The player who had entered before displayed the opposite of what he had in mind in acting, and further inspection of the atmosphere of the bar was more relaxed than he had expected.

Oh.

Well in that case...

Whit stepped around the slightly shorter player and made his way to the nearest bar stool. He took a small pile of coins and placed it on the bar, "eh, give me something sweet."

A few seconds later the bartender returned with a bottle filled with bubbly orange liquid with a label of an orange on it. It had small writing below the orange labeled, "non-alchoholic." Whit took a quick swig and sighed, now to find something to do...

The wander slowly opens the door. He takes a few steps forward while scanning the room. He doesn't know exactly what he's looking for, but his wandering self found his way here. A few more steps forward, then an eerie screech came from behind him. It was just the old door of this old tavern. He slowly made his way to the bar. A grey blazer flew right behind him, pretty much like a cape. He sits down on a stool and calls for the bartender. "A bottle of Kraken. And make sure it's chilled already." he said with a somewhat soft voice. With that, the bartender flew into the backroom. After a few seconds he walks out with a fairly large bottle. It's contents looked dark and unresolved. The bartender places it in front of the wanderer, then goes underneath to grab a glass. He takes a cup of ice and puts in the glass, then gives the glass to the wanderer.

The wanderer slowly poured himself some of that delicious Caribbean Black Spiced Rhum. It was a strong drink, not for the faint of heart, but it's aroma was tantalizing. You wouldn't expect a drink - which is almost 50% alcohol btw - smell so captivating. The wanderer took a long whiff of the drink. Then he shot the entire glass. "Gaaahhh! It's been so long since I've had Kraken." His face lit up and his cheeks somewhat started to redden. "Ah man.. looks like I can't handle it anymore." His once quiet voice turned into a somewhat loud yell.

Nikodemus had found himself in the tavern waiting for his evaluations to be made on the latest batch of weapons he had made. He sat at a table nearby Ethereal and was sipping on a tall thick lager the color of coffee. Sighing softly, he looked about and noticed people he knew. Returning to his drink, he took another long pull from the rim of the cup, enjoying the almost chocolaty flavor the beer had. Sitting beside another empty cup was a small pile of Col. He also had a large loaf of bread and a wedge of cheese that he occasionally sliced pieces from and downed between sips of his beer.

His helmet sat beside him on a chair, and he was still suited in his iron armor. Smiling softly, he thought back to when he and his brother and wife would occasionally sit on the outskirts of his home town and would pass a flask of liquor back and forth, regaling each other with stories and sharing jokes as they enjoyed the cold winter weather. With another sigh, Nikodemus pulled himself from his thoughts and once more looked around at the others. He wondered if others thought to their lives outside.

After, he had taken one of the stools to sit on, few other players showed up. He recognized two of them, but only nodded in greeting, he really did not feel like having a chat with anyone right now. He waved the bartender over, and asked, "One bottle of Gin, and if you have some mixed fruit juice. That would be great." The bartender took the order, and went into his storeroom to find what he was looking for. After, a few minutes, he came back and slammed the bottle with a glass and some mixed fruit juice down. Khrysaor gave some Col. and afterwards started to pour some of the Gin into his shot glass. Then, mixed a few drops if the juice into it as well and raised his shot into the air. Khrysaor said, "Bottoms up," and took the shot in one go. Khrysaor felt somewhat satisfied, because it tasted nice and sweet. He started to pour more in for the second round.
