Hunter finally was at the top, it seemed that the others in the party did not know the meaning of the phrase "wait up". He came out onto the top floor as his Axe was already drawn and ready as he spun it in his right hand. Looking at the others it seemed that the battle had already begun against the beast, and the Health Bars of the beast were clearly visible.

"Well don't mind if I...cut in...do ya' guys?"

Hunter asked sarcasticly as he quickly brushed his hair from out of his eyes, and brought his Axe up from it's resting position. He began to run at the beast as his sword skill was already selected, his blade began to glow a sinister blood red.

Hunter reached the beast in no time before swinging his Axe once from shoulder right, to hip left; then the second follow up strike went up from hip left, to shoulder left.

The cuts would enter the body of the beast with ease as Hunter felt confident that he could do some damage now.

Rearing towards its nest protectively, the foul bird tried to threaten his attackers screeching once again towards all of them, rising his chest high to seem even bigger and flapping his wings menacingly.

But one of them won the fear the bird tried to instill in their eyes, and leapt forward ignoring the danger.

Garou raised his two-handed sword high into the sky, hitting the bird right in its center.

The Atherial's screech stopped for a moment, as the hit's pain bit through the Atherial, shocking him and causing him to fall to the side. Its health bar went down a lot due to the critical hit.

And yet the bird was far from done. He stood up again, blue thunder collecting around him. He begun thrashing wildly in fury, looking for Garou with murderous rage in its eyes, without caring for all the other players.

He got sight of him...

But didn't manage to act.

When his head cocked left, Swift knew it was her chance to attack. She dashed forward, scraping the sword on the floor, eliciting small sparks from it.

But at the same moment she lifted her sword to cut through him, the massive avian turned its head, and with surprising quickness avoided the hit.

It wasn't like normal fighting, Swift understood, the Atherial wasn't evading, it felt... different. in his madness, it moved so randomly and suddendly that hitting him was even more difficult.

Yet, Swift's move was far from useless, since it distracted the bird from Hunter's charged sword skill, coming from behind.

His two swings cut through the blue bird's body easily, leaving red marks in their wake. The Atherial turned fast, and clawed at both Swift and Hunter. He wanted to get rid of them quickly, his right eye still fixed on Garou.

He missed them both, but managed to still drive them out of threatening zone.

After having dealt so with them, he finally had a clear path to Garou.

He stopped for a moment.

For a surreal instant, all was darkness. The rooftop had been enveloped in a sudden night veil, and there was an ominous silence.

Then, from the darkness, where the beak of the Atherial had been, something started to form.

One or two sparks of blue lightning broke the silence, shining brightly in the darkness.

Then, slowly at first, then faster and faster, more and more sparks began gathering and collecting in that spot.

And suddendly, the darkness was lit up.

A blinding globe of electrical energy, coalesced around the bird's beak, radiated a strange light in the utter darkness, at the same time majestic and terrible, in its light all things seeming disfigured and warped.

And then the Atherial charged, ignoring all other players in its path, running madly towards Garou, which had only the warning of the light getting closer to understand death was coming on swift blue wings.

It raised its head to hit, and then discharged its thrust with all its might on Garou.

It missed by inches.

Where he hit the floor, the stones exploded outwards, part of the roof collapsing. The entire tower trembled, threatening to collapse.

Garou had been very lucky, not so Eri, their guide, which already was at the side of the roof, unconscious, when the tower started trembling. Her body rolled forward towards the edge, ever so slowly.

She needed immediate help, someone that recovered her before she rolled over the edge and fell down. Would the players worry more about the enraged monster, or her endangered life?

Darius had been watching the fight with a stoic expression, all of the players landing blows here and there, while mainly dodging the bird's attacks. They didn't need his help at the moment, but their guide did. He glanced at the bird once more, watching it rage about like a stupid animal, then started to run towards their guide that was slowly getting closer to the edge. He pulled the tower shield from his arm and slid it in front of his on the ground. As it was skidding along, he jumped on it, leaning forward and making it propel like a skateboard, sliding across the stone with a deafening screech as sparks flew everywhere. As he neared Eri, he would dive off the shield, reaching out his hand to grab her's, but missed, her fingertips brushing his as he watched with a grimace as she continued to roll towards the edge. He hastily got onto his knees, pulling his shield over to him as he started rapping it's bottom off the stone floor, metallic clangs ringing out as sparks flew up.

The noise of Darius' shield would've undoubtedly attracted the creature's attention if it was as dumb as it seemed to be.

Keith's ears rang at the noise of Darius attempting to save their kind guide, Eri. He was banging his shield to draw it's attention away and Keith saw an opening to dash in and try and rescue the girl. "Darius! Keep it up! I'm gonna try and get Eri out of there!" He said, as he ran past the commotion towards Eri.

Keith slipped on a puddle and fell over on his side, slipping along the ground from the fierce winds as he failed to help the girl who had helped them earlier.

Daeron stood watching as the players were fighting the Atherial rather, miraculously as a team. When Daeron was about to prepare an attack for an upcoming strike by him, he saw the guide that led them her was being threatened by the large bird-like creature. Without even stopping to think, Daeron lowered his weapon and dashed in to try and save the guide.

Daeron watched his footsteps cautiously trying to avoid any traps that could potentially be there. Unfortunately, as Daeron made his attempt to dodge an incoming attack, the Atherial had managed to throw Daeron away from any distance near the guide. Daeron was now flung back by sheer force of a wind gust, and was recovering from the flight he had just taken. He knew he had to rethink his method if he wanted to saver her.

After watching Daeron make an attempt to save the guide in danger, she knew this was the perfect moment to try and swoop in to save her. It would be a close call, but she needed to try. So after dodging the Atherial's attack oncoming to her, she made a mad dash to run in on the guide and to try and potentially save her. Swift had no idea if her mission here would be a suicide mission or not seeing as how three other players have failed to save the girl so far. Perhaps she could pull it off or maybe she could potentially die saving the girl. However, no matter the punishment for her actions, she would accept it knowing she was going to try and save someone either way.

Swift used info gathered from the other three failures to avoid any distractions. She made her movement rather swiftly (no pun intended) and dodged the oncoming wind gust of the wing. Her movement to the guide was oncoming closer and closer. Eventually, the Atherial stomped it's foot in front of her, which was now a giant talon. Luckily, Swift jumped over it with expertise timing and ran in to grab the girl. Now that she had the girl, the bird was giving it's full attention to Swift. She continued to dodge any attacks, and weaved beyond any attack coming in. When she made it to the other players, they aided her in defending the guide.

The young girl opened her eyes slowly, blinking several times to focus her sight.

"nnnh... what happened?" She whispered, looking right and left, while Swift was laying her down.

She turned her bloodied head to the side weakly, and noticed the players fighting with the Atherial, jumping right and left to avoid incoming hits.

"It has appeared then..." she whispered again, coughing a bit. "I've been careless, haven't I? Going straight to the nest, knowing it is a very territorial bird... I put you all in danger."

He turned her face back to Swift.

"Now that you've saved me... it's not gonna forgive you... it wanted death... but..."

She stretched her hand towards her, weakly.

"Thanks... for saving me..."

She abandoned herself to the ground, and laid there, now breathing regularly.

Darius continued rapping the bottom of his shield against the tower, trying to draw the bird's attention. Just to make sure that it would work, Darius stopped momentarily, standing and drawing in a deep breath, before letting it loose in a rage-filled roar, his face creasing darkly as he looked more monster than human, activating the ability "Howl" in the process. "Howl" was meant to aggro any monster to the user and increase its hate and anger, and since the Atherial was the only monster around, it was an automatic success, drawing the bird's already enraged attention to him as it grew even angrier.

Darius wedged his sword into a crack in the stone of the tower created by one of the bird's previous attacks that missed. He stepped froward, clutching the forearm that was strapped to his tower shield intensely, getting ready to do his best to absorb an incoming hit by the giant bird to better the chances of an attack getting in while it was crushing him. His face was completely stoic, as if not registering that was he was doing was going to cause him a good portion of damage. "Hopefully my armor will absorb some, plus I've got a few potions to spare," Darius thought to himself as he steeled his nerves.

Daeron looked at the giant bird. It had large menacing talons, a beak the size of three men it seemed if not bigger, and wings that are sharper than his mother's words in the real world. This creature was beyond any creature he had ever seen before, it was like it was something he would see in a dream... no, a nightmare. He looked to his left and right to see his fellow comrades fighting along side him against the bird, every now and then, there would be a large screech of pain from the bird, but nothing that hindered it.

Daeron looked down at his small and wimpy seeming one handed sword. How could such a small weapon do of any use against this thing, it's like a toothpick to it. Continuing his thoughts rambling with doubts and misfortunate events that could happen every time you try to swing at it, he ignored them for about three seconds, the duration of his attack. Every sequence of the attacks he used seemed to do what seemed like nothing. When the Atherial stomped it's foot down to stop Swift from saving the guide, Daeron knew he needed to aid her in her mission to get to her. So in action of his thoughts, he ran over to the foot of sharp talons, the size of his entire body, and swung his weapon at the heel by it's ankle, hoping to weaken it in any way he possibly could.

Daeron's attack had connected with the gargantuan bird, but didn't seem to phase it one bit. Instead, he saw that it was preparing itself to attack the players yet again. Daeron went to back up and held his sword up in front of his face, preparing for anything that was about fly at him.
