Still nestled indiscreetly within a corner of the Town of Beginnings, the Gilded Hide is worn into. Upon entering the shop, the customer will notice the sole source of light is the artificial sun of Aincrad beaming through an exposed sunroof with glossy mirrors reflecting the light around the room, giving it a bit of a harshness. Most days the shop is at the ambient outdoor temperature unless the weather requires the sunroof to be closed. The shelves and display cases neatly arranged around the floor are made of the dark acacia wood with glossy finishes. The more expensive items lay under a glass top for inspection, the mirrors angled so that beams focus on these items, naturally bringing the eye there. On the counter, a small scorpion crawls across, following the movement of the customer as they look around the room. A small bell resides on the counter, which the scorpion seems to guard relentlessly, and next to the bell is a wooden sign with script etched into it.

Items on Display:

Spoiler

Vanity

Spoiler

1. Puffy Shirt - A shirt made of flax that is rather soft. Good for those who need movement of the arms but not so good for protection. Supposedly rather comfortable material to wear when a linen is needed. (x2)

2. Crimson Ramie Dress - A dress made of the material ramie, a fibre which is similar to silk. The glossy dress is brilliant in colour but not so in stat buffing. It might make one the talk of a dance or party though.

3. Black Cloak - A long cloak that helps cover the body up when desired. Can be used to keep the body a bit warmer or maybe even used to help one blend in with the shadows.

4. Red Shirt - A dull red shirt made of a soft linen. Has no particular use or function but might be a nice house shirt for anyone looking for such a thing.

5. Red Cloak - A red cloak of fair make, though there is nothing particularly special. It resembles the same colour red that the matadors would use in their bouts with the bulls.

6. Leather Chest Piece - A basic, run-of-the-mill chest piece that offers some protection but nothing special. x3

7. Leather Pants - A basic pair of pants that are meant to offer a bit more protection than just regular cloth. x2

8. Leather Bracers - Two bracers that offer protection for one's lower arms without inhibiting movement. x2

9. Black Cloak - A black cloak that is meant to be coupled with light armour in order to provide a little bit more protection or make it hard to see the figure of the wearer's body. (x2)

10. Cuddly Teddy Bears - Just a cute little plushy that can be placed anywhere for an added boost x2

11. White Cloak - Just a plain old cloak that holds no enhancements, though it might have the potential to if it were attempted to be unlocked

**//Prices\\ For Vanity items, I ask for just the material required to make it. For items with enhancements there will be an additional Col and Material price depending on the number of enhancements desired. In general the prices will be #Enhancements*Tier*300 Col with two extra mats per enhancement slot. (ex. Tier 1 Rare would cost a total of 600 Col on top of five mats whereas a Tier 1 Perfect would costs 900 Col and seven mats). Costs will be kept this low due to the amount of time it might take to create higher quality goods. Discounts might be considered for bulk orders or regular customers, bringing these cheap prices even lower. I do not mind haggling at all, if you want to shift the price a bit from it costing a little more Col so it costs less mats or vice versa or just lowering the price. Do not expect me to go too low though.**

.:Ordering Process:.

There is a slab of wood with writing etched into it since the process will likely remain permanent. The piece of wood has a few steps for all and any customers to follow if they desire to buy something.

Quote

Step 1: Decide if it is a display item or a custom order that you desire. If it is display then just choose the item and bring it to the counter. If you require a custom order, then bring your idea to the counter.

Step 2: In order to place a custom order please, please gesture to the bell for Hector, my assistant. He is rather protective of his bell so do not try to ring it yourself lest you wind up stung.

Step 3: To complete a custom order. I will need these specifications; Tier, Quality, and Enhancements. These are the bare minimum and I will create the rest if you have no preference. If you wish to name the item or have it appear a specific way then just let me know these descriptions and I will do my best to create the item of your dreams.

Nathan walked into his new shop and looked around. It was not much as of yet but he knew with a bit of hard work and determination he would make it into a really well known shop. He doubted that it would be soon that he would reach the prestige level of the Lion's Den, a shop that he had heard a lot about. No matter though, he would do his best to make a really good shop that would impress all of his customers. To gain prestige though he would need customers and to get customers he would need to make some products. He walked to the back of the shop, opening the door into the back part of the store. He grabbed one of the boar hides off the shelf, inspecting it for integrity, and then placed it onto his crafting table and grabbed his needle and thread, ready to begin.

Nathan worked his needle and thread through the hide a few times, trying to make a shirt or pants of some sort. The material began to glow as it transformed and to Nathan's disappointment the material became a destroyed heap of leather. Nathan inspected the product of his work for a bit, trying to see if there was anything he could possibly make of this pile of leather. Seeing that there was nothing useful in the pile he discarded the item, watching as it dissolved into pixels.

Nathan was a bit disappointed with his first attempt at tailoring but he did not let it deter him. He just walked over to the shelving and looked over his selection of materials. After scanning his materials for a bit he grabbed some more flax and turned back to the table. He stretched out the material and thought a bit on what he should make. He could make some pants to accompany the shirt that he made, or another shirt. He decided on another shirt since the flax would provide a comfy item which one could relax in. He threaded his needle and bent over his table, beginning his work.

Nathan ran his needle through the material, sewing it together to try and make a product which he could use. After a few strokes with the needle the material began to glow red and transform. Once more Nathan was dismayed to see the material transform into yet another pile of waste. The material in front of him had become a waste so he went ahead and discarded it. He was done for the day, already he had wasted two materials and he did not want to waste anymore as of yet. Plus, he felt a bit tired from the work. He would come back in tomorrow and try again. He exited the crafting room and looked around the empty shop. Just a bit of work and he could have it nice and tidy. After locking the craft room door so his materials were safe he walked about the shop, organizing and settling in.

It was a new day and Nathan entered his humble shop. The ring of the bell made him smile softly as he enjoyed the thought of being significant in some way, however small. He closed the door behind him and headed towards the counter, disarming himself of his rapier, and unlocked the door to the craft room. Even with the prior day's failure he was eager to start working again on something. Even with the failures he had enjoyed making a product which he could call his own. Soon enough he knew he would be skilled enough to be creating masterpieces that would impress all the population of Aincrad. After entering the crafting room he went to the shelving and grabbed another boar hide, considering an attempt to make some pants this time. He set out the material and took his needle and thread, threading the eye of the needle and stood over the material as he planned out his work.

ID#59653   CD:12   Perfect    +8 EXP   Roll 1 of Day

Nathan smiled and began working his needle through the leather hide, his hands working nimbly around the material as the system began to take over and calculate what he would make this time. His hands worked quickly and the material began to glow and transform until a pair of brown pants lay on the crafting table. Nathan inspected his work and brought up the unnamed item's menu and saw that it was rated as a perfect quality item. The smile on his face grew as the success burned warmly in his chest. Not too shabby after the failures of the previous day.

Nathan picked up the pair of pants and took them to an empty shelf, a shelving location that he had left to be where he would store works before they were evaluated. Once he knew what the stats were he would place it on display for people to buy but first he was going to try and craft another item. He walked over to his material shelving and picked up some dyed ramie, wanting to take a stab at a dress. He thought a red dress of the material would be much appreciated by some who might be looking for a dinner gown or something of the sort, if people actually did that in this game. Nathan set the material on the crafting table and took up his needle and thread, eyeing the material as he made mental measurements.

Nathan's needle worked up and down through the fabric but he did not really feel the same energy from the system as he had with the previous item so he was not terribly shocked when the item grew red and ended up being a pile of wasted fibres. He would not let it bother him terribly, that would only have negative effects. Instead he just discarded the pile of fibre with a sigh and turned to his really successful work. Focus on the good. He picked up the pair of pants and left the crafting room, locking it behind him.

Another day had risen and Nathan entered his shop, ready to begin working. He inspected his small shop and saw that everything was as it should be so he headed behind the counter and looked over his materials list. He was running low, one more day's worth of supplies after today. He needed to go searching for more materials to use. With a shrug he unlocked the door to his crafting room and entered, heading over to the material shelf, inspecting it as he pondered what he should make today. He decided he wanted to try another dress and maybe some more hardened hide pants... The pants had come out really well last time, maybe he could replicate such results. Taking a section of red-dyed ramie and a boar hide he took them to the crafting table, ready to begin working.

Nathan threaded the eye of his needle and began working the needle through the processed ramie, slowly creating what his mind eye thought to be a dress. After a few deft strokes the ramie began to glow and Nathan watched as a dress appeared before him. Without even selecting it he could tell that it was not special in any way, just a regular silky, red dress. Nothing wrong with that though. He took it and placed it on his product shelf and headed back to the crafting table and took his needle and thread up again. He started working the needle through the tough boar hide, the work strenuous. After a few strokes Nathan could feel the fatigue of concentration as he did his best to work the needle through. Finally the material glowed a red colour and a pile of wasted material sat before him. With disgust Nathan discarded the itme and headed back to the dress. There was nothing to evaluate here so he would go ahead and place it on display for any customer that wanted a regular dress.

Nathan walked into his shop in the morning, opening it up once more but not really expecting any business. He knew he had a long way to go before he could expect to have any customers which just meant he had to work at getting better at his job. This of course meant practicing his craft so he wasted no time getting behind the counter and going into the crafting room. After entering he went over and looked at his small supply of materials and sighed. He really needed to get some more before the next day otherwise he would be out of materials. He picked up a boar's hide and some flax and headed over to the crafting table and took his needle and thread up.

Nathan began working his needle in and out of the hide but could already tell this was going to be a failure. His hands just did not feel right as the wove the needle through the material. Nonetheless he tried his best to make a quality item but was not surprised at all when it turned into a pile of wasted material. He discarded it and took the flax up in his hands. He was sure he could make something out of this at least. He set the material onto the table and began working the needle through it. He felt good about this work, he was certain his hands were moving in the most perfect pattern to create a good product at least. That was why he was so frustrated when the object glowed red and turned into another pile of waste. Angered he discarded the item and set the needle and thread down. Seething a bit he walked out of the crafting room and locked it behind him. There was so much practice that needed to be done but he most certainly did not feel like doing it now.

The next day Nathan entered his modest shop, looking around. There was still nothing on display but one basic dress since all the other items he had made were failures. With a sigh Nathan walked behind the counter and went into the crafting room. He looked over his newly stocked materials and walked forward to the shelf and grabbed some materials off the shelf, some of the fibres he had obtained from the jungles of floor six, and took them to the crafting table.

Nathan took his needle and thread up, preparing to work the needle through his materials. He started with one bunch of fibres, working the needle in and out and trying to sew it into the shape of a shirt. After a few strokes the material glowed a bright red but he did not feel as though it would be anything special. Sure enough the material transformed into a pile of waste, a pile which he promptly discarded. Taking the second material he started working on it, just wanting to make one thing today at least. After a few strokes the material glowed red again and, once again, turned into a pile of waste. He sighed softly and discarded the item. He really had not been feeling it today anyways. He left the crafting room and just cleaned up around the shop's main room.

Nathan walked into his shop in the morning, looking around it as he always did. There was still nothing special about it but he would make something of it soon enough. He walked to the back door and entered the crafting room, ready for another stab at making something useful. He did not terribly mind the continuing failures that he had made in recent days, this was one area where his persistence was wonderful. He picked up two materials again, one a bunch of ramie from the first floor and another a colourful fibre from the jungles of the sixth floor. He took them to the crafting table, thinking some basic clothing would do for today's crafting attempts. He set the fibres onto the table and picked up his needle and thread, ready to start working.

Nathan began working his needle through the first material but it started transforming too soon, he knew what it was going to turn out to be. That was why he was not terribly shocked when the material appeared once more as a pile of waste. With a sigh he discarded it and moved onto the colourful fibre from the jungle. Nathan took his needle and thread and started working it through, sewing it into the shape of a shirt. After a few deft strokes the material glowed, transforming into a product. With a smile he saw the shirt that he had imagined in his eyes laying on the table. Quickly he inspected it and saw it was of the rare quality. "Not too shabby at all," he thought as he picked it up and set it onto the product table. That one would go on display as soon as he figured out what it was enhanced with. He had also ranked up his skill of tailoring, allowing him to make leather armours now which would always be a good thing.

Nathan walked into the shop, a new day having risen. He looked around the shop which was now populated with a few items, one of which was useful. He was bent on making this shop a thriving source of income, he just had to keep at it. He was persistent enough to see this goal through so all he required was time, time that would be put into making this shop what it could be. He headed towards the crafting room door and entered the room. After a quick inspection of his materials he grabbed the last three materials he had, deciding he probably could make an extra attempt today. Two were of leather to try out this armour aspect and one was some more fibre from the sixth floor, a material which he found made some pretty fabrics.

Nathan took up his needle and thread and begin working with the leather first, wanting to try and make a stab at this leather armour. The process was average, not feeling particularly good not bad this time. He was not surprised at all to see the item transform into a nice leather chest piece that held no particular qualities to it. He set that aside, intent on displaying it later for anyone to choose. Next he took up the other piece of leather and began working his needle through it. After a few strokes it too began to glow and transform and it came out as a piece of wasted material, a true shame. Nathan discarded the item and took up the fibre and began working his needle through it, trying to make a pair of pants or something along those line. His needle worked quickly and finally the fibre began to glow but it came out as a horrendous pile of waste which he promptly discarded. With a sigh Nathan wiped his brow from the work, not too sure how long had passed. Looking up at his material shelf he realized that he needed to go hunting for some more soon. With this realization Nathan left the crafting room behind and locked it up, not able to use it anymore for the day it would appear.

Nathan walked into the Gilded Hide again, just having come back from a quest. He took out two leathers that he had just recently received from a quest, holding them in his hands. Might as well use them, they were just as good as any other material. He walked to the crafting room door and entered the room, setting the two materials onto the table. He headed over to the material shelving and grabbed a fibre of some sort, probably flax since he had a whole bunch of that. With the last material grabbed he went to the crafting table and set it down, picking up his needle of thread.

Nathan began with the leather obtained from the Dark Elf. He began working his needle through the leather, having a bit of a rough time with it since the stuff was so thick. He wondered what it could possibly have come from as he struggled to force the needle through the material. Eventually it began to glow and transformed into a fair pair of pants, nothing too special about them but not a failure by any means. Setting the pants aside he picked up the bull leather from the minotaur and began working through it. He worked quickly, his hands finding this easier than the stiff material from the previous attempt. That did not mean it was easy work though, the material was definitely harder to work with than fibres. After a few deft strokes the material transformed and made a matching leather chest piece for the pants. After inspecting his work he smiled, expecting great enhancements from it. Finally he moved onto the fibre and began working with it. After the two leathers he found that he was pushing too hard with the needle and generally tore the fibre up. He frowned and was not thoroughly surprised to see the wasted material appear once again, discarding it immediately. He took the two leather armour products he had made and placed them on display for customers to see.

The next day, Nathan walked into the Gilded Hide and headed towards the back. He entered the crafting room and headed over to the material shelf. He grabbed three materials, two fibres and a leather, and took them to the crafting table. After taking up his needle and thread he began working them through materials, one by one. His needle worked through the materials and one by one every single material came out as a failure. One by one the items were discarded because they were so trashed they were not even worth the material he had used to make them. Nathan left the shop a bit disheartened that day, not really sure what he had done wrong when working with those materials. The only plus that came of this was the fact that he had somehow ranked up from crafting today. He was now a rank three tailor.

Nathan walked into his shop and let loose a sigh. It felt like a good day and he just hoped this would hold through to his crafting for the day. Nathan walked over to the counter and little Hector crawled out of his dark corner to meet him. After petting the scorpion's top Nathan went to the crafting room door and entered the room. Once in the room Nathan headed over to the material shelf to get some items to use. After a little bit of deliberation he grabbed four materials and took them over to the crafting table and thought about what he wanted to make today.

Nathan took up his needle and thread and began working through the materials. One by one each material transformed into something. Today luck had not smiled but neither had it frowned, he obtained a black cloak with no special properties and a red shirt of the same make. One item was just a complete failure and had little use so it was discarded. The last was a pair of leather pants which might have use to someone if only they were willing to look into it.

Nathan entered his shop with a small smile, looking at the growing display. It was not much but it was most definitely something, and something was a whole lot better than nothing. With something he might attract customers and customers meant profits, hopefully. He would just have to keep working at it though and cater to whoever came to him. Nathan went to the counter and, after patting Hector lightly on his head, went into the crafting  room.

After entering the crafting room Nathan went to the materials shelf and grabbed a whole bunch of dark leathers, such a dark brown they were almost black. He wanted to make a full set of armour today so he needed quite a bit. He took the leathers to the crafting table and began using his needle and thread to work the material. First came two leather bracers, which did not appear to be too special but had potential to be unlocked. Next came a pair of pants that had a special characteristic about them, something Nathan looked forward to finding out. Finally, the armour. The leather armour almost came out perfect and he could tell it would be a strong defense for whomever equipped it. Smiling he took the full set of leather armour and set it on the product table where it awaited to be evaluated.

Nathan walked into his shop and inspected the growing display. He smiled and headed back behind the counter and, after petting Hector, went into the crafting room. Without much hesitation he grabbed some leathers and fibres and went over to the crafting table to begin working immediately. His work was swift and effective he believed. Only one item failed that day with three other successes which he could add to his display. Two variants of leather armour and a cloak which he was sure was a more special make. He took the items out to be put on display in his shop, increasing the size of his shop's wares further.

Nathan walked into his shop with a smile, watching as the various little bits of armour he made began to fill the shop. He was well on his way to becoming a master tailor and would give out the highest quality goods to the players of Aincrad! This made him laugh slightly as he realized he still had yet to have a single customer. He was getting rather passionate about this shop, it gave him a purpose and that was such a wonderful thing to have in this world. Nathan headed behind the counter and, after petting Hector like always, entered the crafting room. Upon entering the crafting room he grabbed another four materials and began working the needle and thread through the materials. Two more goods with locked potential were produced and one that seemed like it was bad but he had somehow salvaged something out of the material. The last one though, a perfect piece of armour. It was a worthy piece of work and Nathan was contemplating using it for himself just to give himself that extra little padding.

The sound of a small chime rang out in the humble Tailor's shop as the wooden door creaked open. In the entrance's frame stood an average-looking female, save for the unnatural violet hair that fell over her shoulders. With a blank expression, the woman surveyed the small shop, glancing around at the items on display. With the item she wanted already in mind, she silently passed by any premade items until she reached the front counter. A small skittering noise caught her attention as she glanced down to catch the sight of a small scorpion dashing across the counter to ring a small bell. The blacksmith merely cocked her head to the side in intrigue, keeping watch of the small animal.

Nathan walked out of the crafting room, having been organizing some materials and looking over some products he had recently made, and was shocked to see a woman standing in front of the counter. He nodded slightly to Hector and the scorpion darted back beneath the counter into its dark corner. Nathan approached the counter and said, "Welcome to my humble shop, the Gilded Hide. I see you have a custom order," reaching his hand out across the counter he took the order form and nodded slightly, "I will get to work as quickly as I can on this, which will be rather soon. Not exactly that long of a line if you could not tell. Upon pick up that will be a total of 900 Col and seven materials, unless you wish to redistribute some of that wealth." Nathan looked over the form and hoped his luck was on today so he might finish this in one attempt. Without waiting Nathan waved slightly at the customer, "Let me go work on this right away, ma'am." With that he disappeared into the crafting room.

Nathan grabbed a few materials, wondering what material would best fit a piece named sandstorm. After a bit of deliberation he took a mixture of brown fibres and the lighter leathers to try and make this piece of light armour. He took his needle and thread up and made a few items of worthy make, just a few more leather armours but none of the quality that he wished to give his customer. On his final attempt, though, came a masterful work. He smiled as he produced a cloak that had a mixture of browns woven into it as though the winds were blowing sands. This was a good enough quality that he felt his first customer was worthy of having.

Nathan walked out of the crafting room with all four products. The two not-so special ones he set on display immediately, showing off their wonderful make, even if they had no special enhancements as of yet. The two special items though he held onto. "I believe I have your item here. If you do not mind I have to evaluate it just to make sure that it has the enhancements that you desired. It should since I made it but let me check before you pay."

((OOC: Whoops, I totally had a picture for the item and forgot to link it at first. Sorry!))

The woman handed over her order without a word, eyes flickering down curiously to the scorpion as it skittered away again. As her gaze drifted back up to the shopkeeper, the boy mentioned the price as he looked over her request. Teion averted her eyes, glancing sideways at nothing in particular as she brought up a hand to lightly pull on a section of her hair. "I don't have any materials right now," She started in a plain tone, a slight hint of apology detectable. "I can pay with col. Or if you'll allow me some time to get them to you," Her sentence remained incomplete. The woman simply nodded as the tailor stepped away, keeping herself occupied simply by looking the place over once again.

Upon his return, Teion blinked in slight surprise. She hadn't expected him to complete the item on the spot, and now felt more obligated to get the crafter some materials, whether or not he would accept col alone as payment for the item. Still, she awaited his decision, thinking over her best hunting grounds if she needed to make a quick trip out for materials.

Nathan frowned slightly as he inspected over her item, he really needed materials since he was constantly burning through them. He finished evaluating the item but held it in his hands, not giving it to her yet. He was not sure what to ask of her but in the end he nodded slightly. "Well, I am in need of more materials if I am to keep producing. I was actually contemplating going out and hunting for them. Maybe, if it would not be much of a bother..." He looked over her, gauging how strong she might be. He could be able to take her if necessary, though hopefully it would not come to that. "I could come hunt with you. You pay me in Col in advance, maybe a bit extra if you do not want to pay the full seven materials. We will go out and hunt some mobs and split whatever materials we get halfway, or if you would rather stick to the 900 Col then I will take seven materials that we gather." He watched her eyes, wondering how his proposition would be received.
