Kalesh 0 Posted June 9, 2016 Author #21 Share Posted June 9, 2016 (edited) "Done and done." the crimson maned player said while approaching the final rat, confident in himself and his ability to kill off the rat clean and simple. True to his word he lunges forward with a clawed hand, watching as the final rat shatter into countless tiny pixels after his claws pierced its body. These monsters weren't very tough even by his standards, so he was forced to agree. "They kinda pale compared to the croc, yeah" He says with a grin while looking towards the boss's room. "Guess that just leaves the boss, should be easy enough, floor taken into consideration. Let's wrap this up!" He says all too happily. The sooner they got out, the sooner he would be able to bath in the spoils of his efforts! Takao 0 Posted June 9, 2016 #22 Share Posted June 9, 2016 "Alright then, let's get this over with." Said Takao as he approached the large wooden doors. They were smaller than the doors that lead to a floor boss, yet still mighty in their own right and considerably reminiscent of their larger counterpart. Takao placed his off-hand on the wooden surface and tensed his arm, pushing the doors open and revealing the last room of the dungeon. It was circular, as most were, with a scaled up version of the monsters they had faced thus-far standing directly in the middle. Torches illuminated the room one by one until each corner was easily visible in the warm light, the colours of the flame matching the monster's glowing red eyes. Takao wasted no time with engaging the monster, and combined the advancing nature of the «Charge» skill with the sword art he had selected for usage to close the distance between where he stood at the doors and where the monster stood. Eleven individual hits tore through the monster's hide, ripping large wounds that shone orange as each strike landed. As his attack came to an end, Takao pushed back with his legs and allowed Kalesh the opportunity to attack. Kalesh 0 Posted June 9, 2016 Author #23 Share Posted June 9, 2016 (edited) Kalesh couldn't help but snicker when the doors had been opened and the boss was revealed "That's... a lot less intimating than expected!" He says with a grin. He was right behind Takao, at least at first. When the player suddenly zoomed forward and left Kalesh in the dust his eyes went wide! He could see right away how such an ability could prove useful for many situations! For now though he had do focus on the strengths he had. While Takao was distracting the overgrown rat he moved to the boss's side. Kalesh started to jab his clawed fingers into any and all soft or vital spots he could find, between ribs, the soft belly of the beast, just generally tearing its innards apart as its health continued to spiral down rapidly. It wasn't enough however! Hanging on by the barest of slivers, the boss remained alive to seek vengeance for the assault upon its oddly adorable body. "Gragh!! So close!" The crimson maned player voiced in frustration his barely lacking strength to finish the monster off. Takao 0 Posted June 10, 2016 #24 Share Posted June 10, 2016 Takao watched as Kalesh whittled the monster's health down further, only to have it stop tantalizingly close to zero. His jaw tensed in tandem with his grasp on his sword as he readied himself to strike again. "Don't worry, I got it-" He began to say, only to have his voice cut off as he momentarily refocused on evading a swipe of the monster's claws. The stray patches of sand that collected in the desert ruins proved to be more of a nuisance than he had originally thought, and in the midst of evasion, Takao slipped and landed on his back. He felt no pain of course, yet it was still far from a comfortable position to be in. "Or uh... Or maybe I don't got it, actually." Kalesh 0 Posted June 10, 2016 Author #25 Share Posted June 10, 2016 (edited) Kalesh blinked in surprise when Takao wasn't able to finish off the rat, but he himself hadn't been doing much better. The rat was onto them, using its lightning reflexes to evade every swipe the clawed player made towards the oversized animal! He grit his teeth in frustration as he tried to catch the evasive monster. "Get back here and let me kill you for profit!!" He says with no attempts at subtlty or finesse, knowing that just jabbing his claw, no matter how weakly, would get the monster to be destroyed entirely. At this point Kalesh was just chasing the rat around as it decided who it would attack next. [ID# 61264][BD: 2+2=4][CD: 7] Kalesh: 104/104 HP | 6/26 ENG (+2 -2) | 7 MIT Action: Miss! Takao 0 Posted June 10, 2016 #26 Share Posted June 10, 2016 Despite the stinging desire to simply continue laying, which would serve as the first real rest he'd had in quite a while, Takao managed to pick himself up off the ground with a guttural grunt. Back on his feet, Takao opted to observe Kalesh chasing around the weakened monster and found it hard to suppress the desire to laugh, and even harder to resist the urge to allow their game of cat and mouse to continue. But business was business, and leaving it unattended to in a game of death was dangerous. Takao ran ahead of the monster as Kalesh chased it and lifted his sword up to his shoulder, then tilted the blade against his back. The result was the activation of a sword art, and the subsequent single slash that rid the monster of the remnants of its health. The beast shattered into colourful fragments of data, and the dungeon was cleared as a result.
