Hearing of the creature on floor 6, Nikodemus decided that he would take this on. He needed some more experience, and soon, so he sent a message to a few people he knew. 2 replied with want to help. Sending the coordinates to them, Nikodemus then ventured from Nimbus to Floor 6 and waited just outside the safezone. He was geared up in full armor, his tower shield suspended from his back. His axe hung from his hip in it's normal place. Feeling like the fight would be a normal one, he checked his inventory and made sure he had enough health potions just in case. With that secure, he then leaned back and waited for the others. He wouldn't have long to wait, but he was settled in just in case.

The Amazons are proud of their forests, being the pride of their floor with the vast spanning jungles that house a large variety of species. However a lone tiger of flame threatens the sanctity of the forest Amazon's Folly, for it burns down anything in their path, razing their pathway with a baptism of fire. The Amazons request that you take down the tiger to ensure their forest is not left as mere ash.

Requirements:

-At least two [2] Pages (21 or more posts)
-Maximum Party Size of 3
-The Byakko must be defeated
-Repeat completions will only yield <<Tiger Rage>>

Byakko Information:

<<Byakko>> is a respawning Field Boss and has the following statistics:
HP: 150

MIT: 40

Damage per Attack: 48
On MD rolls of 9 or 10, half the damage dealt is instead dealt as burn damage, which ignores mitigation as a status. This has no DoT.

Rewards:

1. <<Tiger Rage>> A potion which grants +2 damage. Lasts for one thread. Takes a post action to apply.

Zandra was in her beachhouse and relaxed in one of the armchairs, sipping on a glass of icecold lemonade. It tasted realy good, specially in the warm weather it was today. Then the silence got interrupted by a message notice. Zandra pushed herself from lying to sitting position and opened the mail. It was from a blacksmith that she visited not to long ago for some new armour. Seemed he wanted help with a quest. That tiger quest. She had already done it, so first she was gonna say she was busy and return to slacking in the armchair. But after second thougth, she emptied the glass and threw it on the floor. It shattered into pixels that slowly faded away."Time to kill a kitty now Zita." She said to her eagle familiar and headed out thru the door.

A minute later she was ten floors below. She immediatly headed to the outskirts of the settlement. While walkking she also geared up. She had her trusted Whip of the warrior. Her reliable Dark angel armour. Lastly she also putted on her handwrap of accuracy. It didnt took long before she spotted the blacksmith."Heya Niko. Ready to kill a cat?" She said with her armoured hands behind her head.

In a flash on an eye, the wanderer steps out of portal in the middle of Amazon. "Welcome to the jungle..." It's been awhile since the wanderer last step foot here. Some weeks ago where he faced himself in a duel to the death. He of course won, but that battle still left a scar in his slowly failing mind. He then began to take steps towards the direction where they were suppose to meet.

A few minutes of walking go by until the wanderer arrived at his destination. Looking around, he quickly spots his armored friend, Niko, lounging about. He seemed to be waiting for people, not just one. The wanderer had thought he was the only one coming to his aid. That in mind, his mind wandered, curious to see just who might show up. As the wanderer drew closer, he casually navigates his HUD getting ready for the bout to come. Taking out a potion, he quickly chugs it down, paying no attention to the terrible aftertaste. As the wanderer was just about to say hi, a woman dressed in black armor came storming about. "I see... so she's the other aid." Looking over to Niko, the wanderer slightly raises his hand. "Yo."

Standing before the safezone exit, Nikodemus waited. first Zandra appeared, walking towards him. With a curt bow of his head, Nikodemus spoke clearly. "Hello Mamzel Zandra. Yes I am ready. Just waiting on one other." Smiling, Nikodemus dug into his pouch of items and took a small crystal from it. Holding it between his hands, he smiled and gazed into it's murky red depths. Hearing a familiar voice, Nikodemus was drug from his gaze back to the present. Looking over, he noticed Rain wandering up to them. Nodding to Rain he smiled. "Hello Rain. Glad you could make it friend. Well, we're all here. Shall we?" With the crystal in hand, Nikodemus applied pressure in his fingers, crushing the crystal with the taloned tips of his armored gauntlet. As it burst, the powder swirled down and into his axe, making it glow a crimson red for a moment. With the Crystal used, Nikodemus turned and began heading off into the Jungle of floor 6. He wanted to bring the beast low, and with his two companions, he felt capable of doing so.

Zandras lips turned into a smile when a third player arrived."Wellwell, isnt it the highest ranked male alchemist I see?" She said with a friendly tone."Yeap, Im the other aid." She continued when he asked if Zandra was another player to join in  on the little adventure. She turned to Nikodemus when he started speaking. It seemed that they was only gonna be this trio. But well, if she took it solo last time, only three players would be more then enough.''Sounds like an exellent idea Niko.'' She said to the blackswmith. Then she took a steady grip around her whip and followed right behind him when he headed into the jungle.

The wanderer didn't exactly know what to say. He's only met her once during a beach party on another floor. Yet, for some reason, she's already recognized him. Tis true that the wanderer has been steadily rising up in the ranks among the Alchemists of Aincrad. And as of late, the wanderer was among the highest ranked alchemists in the game, second only to one person. This person that stood before him. She was only thing that stood in his way to becoming the first grandmaster alchemist in Aincrad. A prestige no one has yet to receive on any for of profession. But, he's still too far behind.

He payed no mind to the woman after her initial greeting. True to his nature, he walked quietly occasionally responding to Niko from time to time, but only Niko. He doesn't fair well with people he's not accustomed to. As they delved deeper into the jungles on the 6th floor, the wanderer casually opened his HUD yet again and took out a Greater Damage Potion I. He doesn't know how mitigation that beast they were here for had, but he had hoped that this rare damage potion was enough.

With his shield gripped in his left hand, and his right hand close to his axe, Nikodemus trudged through the jungles of floor 6. He had been there once before and had grown to dislike it. The wet slosh of the dirt, the overgrowth full of snakes and other things, and the humidity. Looking around, he wondered where the boss would spawn. "So, anyone know what this thing looks like, or evidence of it's nearness?" Looking to Zandra and Rain, Nikodemus he noticed they too were on guard.

As previous, Zandra placed her armoured hands behind her head while walking side by side with the boys. The other alchemist seemed to ignore her. Had she done something wrong? She shrugged her shoulders and didnt rhougth any more about it. Her focus turned to Niko when he asked if he or Rain had any idea of where or how the boss was spawning. Zandra raised her eyebrows."Oh right. Forgot to tell ya but, Ive already done this quest. But its always fun to redo it together with peoples. Kinda making it different every time." She said with a smile. Then she turned a little more serious."But last time, I just followed a road made of black burned dow  trees. And then I found it, on its way to wreak even more fire in the jungle." She looked around to see if she could spot anything nearby but not yet. Maybe the other partymembers would see something.

"It should show up in any moment..." The wanderer's mind grew more focused at the thought of slaying the beast. He had only come here for the precious SP that the quest gave. He knew he could never do this quest alone as this quest is above and beyond the wanderer's current capabilities. As they slowly trudged, through the forest, the humidity in the air slowly sapped the wanderer's strength, but he needed to pull through. He can't die here. Not here... not in this damp dark place. Pacing forward, a scent of burning, all too familiar to the wanderer, began to proliferate the air. "We're looking for burning right? I smell smoke." The wanderer began to lead the trio towards the source of the smoke. "I wonder what it could be..."

Seeing Rain pull off the main path and towards something, Nikodemus beagn to raise his hand but stopped. He began to smell the smoke through his sealed helmet. Tilting his head, Nikodemus followed Rain through the jungle. After a moment, They began to see burnt and charred flora all around, in various degrees of immolation. The further in they went, the more it became burnt and charred. Looking around, Nikodemus saw the various stages of damage and sighed. The beast was large and dangerous, and he could see the damage it left. Looking to Zandra, Nikodemus sighed. "So, when we come on this beast--" Before he could speak, he heard the howl of the beast, from nearby. With another sigh, Nikodemus gripped his axe and shield tighter. "Well, it's close..."

As the trio of adventurers pushed thru the forest, the alchemist mentioned he felt the smell of smoke. Zandra sniffed in the air and couldnt more then agree.''Yeah, youre right. Smells smoke, probably we getting close.'' she havent more then finished the sentence before they spotted visual evidence that they was close as well.''We are definitly close.''she added when she saw the burnt down trees. If this was reality, she would have felt a sting when seeing so many dead trees. That someone can something like this. But here in the game, they was gonna respawn a couple of hours when they have killed the tiger so he could wreak more havoc for the next group to do the quest. Zandra dtached her chainwhip from her hip and held it in a tight grip, looking in every direction to spot the beast.

As the trio delved deeper into the jungles, it was prominent that the beast was nearby. Everything around them was in charred black. The wanderer went over to one of the burnt trees to investigate. Upon closer inspection, the trees were still warm, hot even. It's as if this mark was just laid out fresh. "It's nea-" Halfway through the wanderer's words a loud roar echoed through the jungles. It's tone was that of raw fury. Calmly, the wanderer took to his sword, gripping the handle tightly. "It's nearby."

As the trio broke through the cover of the immolated jungle, a large shadowed form stood before them in a clearing of burnt jungle. The beast was burning with an inner fire, wreathes of flame engulfing the beast. With each bestial roar, the beasts open mouth revealed burning flame within it. It's claws were large and able to shred through armor, each one long as a dagger and twice as sharp. It turned and placed a burning gaze upon the trio of people, it's next meal. With a shout, Nikodemus brought his axe and shield up and prepared for battle.

 

"Well, we found the verdammt thing!"

More and more, the landscape around them turned into black, burnt down treess and plants. It must have a smaller area wich it used like... home was the earest word Zandra found out. Suddenly Rain said that its near, or rather its nea. He couldnt say more before Zandras eyes turned forward, to a loud roar. A smile started to grow on her lips as they approached the area. She took a steady grip around the hilt of her whip. After some time they saw something upahead. Something burning. She glanced to the side where Niko prepared for battle.''Youre darn right mister.'' she said and prepared her own equipment. The creature let out another roar.''Hehe.'' the noirette gigled before she darted forward, leaving the two boys behind. Burnt down trees beeing crushed under her armoured feets, making it look like she had a smoke-cloud after her. Infront of the beast she stopped, slided a few meters. Then she placed her feets wide and stared into the tigers eyes. She took a deep breath and inhaled alt of air before <Howl>:ing straigth into the tigers face. Then she backed a few meters to give room for the others to attack but still keep aggro of the boss.''Go on, kill that little kitty!'' she shouted. When she looked back, she felt an crazy heat. She turned back and saw she had got engulfed by flames. She held up her shield and thanks to her heavy armour, her heallth bar och reduced with a half percent.

OOC: :c Just realized this is legit right before I unlock my r5 Katana...

The wanderer drew his blade. Coming closer to the beast, he knew he couldn't do much damage. Especially because of the fact that he's still using T1 Gear. But, he still came knowing that fact. He knows he's gonna get carried, but that doesn't mean he's just gonna sit there and do nothing. The wanderer's not like that. He's a man of action.

Once in sight, Zandra ran straight at the creature and let out a loud howl. Almost instinctively, the wanderer ran in right after. Once close enough the wanderer tightly gripped Bakuzan until it began to glow azure. Then, with a single swing of his blade, the wanderer knocked the burning tiger high into the air. "I guess tigers do fly..." he thought to himself.

Following right behind Rain and Zandra, Nikodemus came to a stop right where he knew the beast come down. Waiting, Nikodemus charged a Sword Art, the blade of his axe glowing a sickly emerald green. As the beast came down Nikodemus brought his axe in an uppercutting swing. As the blade connected to the beast, his Sword Art <Undertone> activated. The beast stopped it's descent and was lifted back into the air slightly, before Nikodemus leapt above it and brought his axe down in a slashing arc onto the beasts head, knocking it into the ground with enough force to fracture the ground. Landing beside the beast, Nikodemus backed up a few feet and raised his shield. The beast lay motionless, unable to move from being stunned by Rain.

Zandra had digged in her armoured feets into the dirt, prepared for the tigers next attack when the guys had attacked it. But then, the other alchemist barely damaged it at all. But instead it got stunned. Then he added a comment like tigers can fly.''Ey! What are you doing Rain? Dont waste energy on stunning it. I have his aggro and his attacks barely damage me at all.'' her eyes went back to the catlike animal.''You ready to get toast p****?'' she said staring into its stunned eyes. Zandra charged up her second strongest sword art before running towards the beast. On her way, she activates her consentration skill to be sure she lands a hit. When in range, she jumps into the air.''Here I come!'' she shouts and when landing she slams the whip into the ground, causing a shockewave strong enough to reduce the field-boss's health into nothingness.

Zandra walks back to the guys.''Thats how you deal with cats like that.'' she said with a smile and a wink.

Upon seeing the last tiger get wrecked into piece the wanderer fell somewhat aback from the situation. Zandra could've just one shotted the beast from the get go, yet she didn't. Why didn't she bother doing that in the first place? After a few moments, the wanderer gathers his thoughts once more and returns back to his own reality.

"I'm just about close to reaching grandmaster on my katana. Before then, I could barely dent that thing's armor. I figured, just stun it." The wanderer spoke, as he slowly sheathed his blade. He was right, he couldn't really do much damage on the creature. His best option was to stun the creature for others to hit it.

Switching topics quickly, "Anyways, let's find a dungeon while we're out here. We could get more SP while we're out here."

Watching the beast burst into pixels, Nikodemus moved towards the area it had been. Laying amidst the dirt was the item it dropped. Snatching it up, Nikodemus pocketed the potion and returned to where Rain and Zandra was standing. Looking to the two, he listened to them talk, and then heard Rain mention a dungeon. Shrugging his shoulders, Nikodemus nodded. "Sure, we can go dungeon hunting. Where do we start looking? Never done this much and all." Looking around, Nikodemus wondered where they would find one, and what they would find inside.

Zandra looked at Rain whit shining eyes when he mentioned that he had almost grandmastered the katana."Youre almost katana grandmaster? I so much wish I could change weapon skill. Have tried out dagger and now whip. But none of them is realy my cup of tea." Then he mentioned go dungeonhunting."I know exactly what to get for that." She swiped a few times in the air before a choclate cake pixelised in her hand. Then she ate it all in one chew. Now she was all set to go.

Zandra gave Niko a smile."Im not realy a pro when it comes to this. But thanks to the choclate and this ring." She held up her right hand where she now had putted a ring in exchange for her accuracy handwrap."My ability to spot dungeons increase quite a bit." She finished and turned around to stare into the forest to spot anybsign of an entrance in the burnt landscape."I think there is something over there." She said and pointed at a huge burnt down tree a hundred meters away. She walked up to it. And just as she thought, between a pair of the roots there was an open space."Here is the entrance mates." She said with a smile on her lips.
