About: History/Personality

On a dark Thursday night, Jenna was brought into the night, her eyes were hopeful and big and her head, although bald, seemed to be shining of intelligence. Soon, having been the only child, she became the jewel of her two middle-class parents just as they had become jewels for her. The family lived their lives peacefully and without troubles on the less-populated side of New York City, making more money than they could spend and thus, the majority of that budget was spilled into emphasizing Jenna’s education. Ever since she was five years old, she had been taught at private schools. Although her family was not rich, they supported her and greatly valued her education as a middle-class citizen. Soon, she was taught different sorts of knowledge - basic knowledge in school and medical knowledge at home although not very advanced – just the basics so Jenna’s interest and be perked and clinched.

And indeed, this method of education has worked. She was kept away from things that might contaminate her mind – this included boys, inappropriate movies, and violence. All of which was kept away from her as she was growing up. Not that she minded for she was fine with who she was. Unlike most of the other people within this game of Swords Art Online, Jenna lived quite the normal life, a life without drama, a life without anything too interesting. She had made quite a bit of friends in private school who continued to be her friends until a fateful day when they all faced a certain situation in this game: A situation that they encountered after about two days from the grand opening of this game and the announcement that Kayaba made.

“Alright, peeps.” Crystalline said - her eyes grand with blue and her motion was filled with confidence, a confidence deserving for the top of the class. She looked like she could do anything, her light armor was already bought from certain methods that she used to earn Col quickly and it was fair to say that her dyed pink hair was filled with far more life than Jenna’s dark black hair. She was fully equipped with light armor and her sword was already uncommon, a tier which was higher than the rest of the players of the group.

Among this group were Jenna (black-haired healer), Crystalline (Pink-haired DPS), Katie (Blonde-haired Tank), and Samantha (Black-haired DPS).

Crystalline was the natural leader; she was bound to become one of the greatest players in existence of this game. It had to be really, she showed all the perfect qualities of a leader, someone without fear and someone with absolute confidence that one can detect from a mile away. She was ready at all times and always willing to help those in need. In any perspective, she was way more perfect and well rounded that Jenna. She was better in every way really… But yet Jenna and her got along so well together. It was due to the contrast in their personalities. While Jenna was timid, Crystalline was brave. While Jenna stood in the back of the battlefield, Crystalline stood in the front with her sword held out. If any of them were to die, Jenna would be the first one to die, and she was the most qualified one to die as well.

Yet that wasn’t the case.

“Alright, yesterday’s hunt for experience and Col was a good one. We were able to store quite the perfect amount of Col and materials. After today’s hunt, not only will we be able to rent a room, we will also be able to buy ourselves lots and lots of equipment and protection, so much that there’s no way we can die in this game.” Crystalline said, her high-pitched voice ringing through the midst of Aincrad. And with that, the other two players in their friend group yelled in agreement, excited for a good day’s hunting and production. However, what awaits them was nothing pleasing.

The day had gone by just as it should be, a few damage taken here and there but nothing major for Jenna’s use of First Aid. She was able to heal them up quite nicely despite the fact that she was still a complete newbie, just like much of the other players within this game.

“Let’s go even more outside of the outskirts!” Samantha claimed with excitement that might just get one killed in this game.

“Yah!” Katie said, nodding her head in agreement.

Although Crystalline seemed reluctant, she went along with it, obviously finding it hard to refuse the two player’s excitement and anticipation for more action. What they didn’t understand was that this game was no longer just a game. It was a virtual prison. A life or death situation might come at any time… And just like Jenna had thought, it did truly happen.

An orc soon stood tall in front of them, a mob that was way beyond their levels and shouldn’t even be found on the first zone. It was probably weaker than the orcs up there but it was still way too high leveled for the four players to handle. Katie charged forward despite Crystalline’s order of retreating and Samantha, ready to deal damage, followed her. The result was inevitable. Both of them were shred to pieces with one swing of the club by the orc. And the orc had already noticed the two other players standing near the hillside. Without another second wasted, he charged and that moment, Crystalline knew that her fate was sealed. That her destiny was to be fulfilled at this point of the game even thought it was still early… So early that she regrets everything.

“Jenna. You must go. You must go back to the safe zone and go back to the hotel.” Crystalline sniffed, a tear dropping from her cheek. “I will buy you some time, stay safe. You are destined to become a front liner, a player who will be a hero for the rest of the players.” Crystalline pushed Jenna forwards, giving her a head start and with that, she charged forward and when she finally looked back at a safe distance, all she saw were blue and green pieces flying to the sky. Her friend had passed, and so had the first part of her innocence.

Me? A hero? When I can’t even protect my friends? The poor character thought, rushing into her hotel room in tears. I can’t… I can’t do this… I need a light to guide me and until I find that light, I am going to stay in this hotel room. She thought, throwing herself onto her bed and weeping in sadness at the fate of her friends and at her pitiful, now empty friends list.

Virtue

Logical – Kasier is definitely logical in what she does. Although she isn’t very intelligent nor tactical, she thinks things over before doing something, hence she tends not to rush into certain things too quickly because she has learned from her past that death comes upon those who do not anticipate it. If she anticipates that death might be at any moment at any corner, she will hence succeed in avoiding death. With that, she will most likely second-guess every situation, unless there is someone in danger or there is some emergency situation. During those times, she will not hesitate to charge in no matter the circumstances.

Serious – There is no time for jokes. Jokes are a waste of time. Not only do people dislike those who doesn’t think of life seriously, but they also tend to throw away their life the easiest. Why would one joke when one can get straight to the point and demand what they want or express a point with a straight sentence that is straight to the point? Not only does Kasier dislike making jokes herself, she also dislikes people who use jokes way too much in the most inappropriate of situations. This game was not meant for jokes… It was meant for people who want to survive.

Selfless – Sure, she might not act like it, but inside her heart and the cold mask that she puts on, she has quite the kindness and selflessness or she would not have become a healer. She cares about the well being of others, but she never shows it unless it was to a special person. There is no point of acting kind… The true test is during what circumstance one will be kind and during what circumstance one will be cold. That is what truly determines a person’s character… Not what he or she is like on a daily basis but what he or she changes to during a harsh condition.

Flaws

Unlikeable – Kasier treats others the way that others treat her. Often times, her serious nature can be obviously misinterpreted because of the cold way that she treats people that she doesn’t know (Doesn’t mean that she doesn’t help those in need). Many thinks of her as a strange person for having “two personalities” but that is due to the fact that they misunderstand her. Her serious nature of wanting to get things done and wanting to survive in this game to the best of her abilities is often misinterpreted as just plain rude but Kasier isn’t that type of person.

Gullible – Like stated before, Kasier rushes into situations only when there is an emergency. If there, indeed, is a life-threatening situation, she rushes into things without thinking and that can be critical to her wellbeing later on in the story when she develops enemies or rivals. This can easily be used to capture or simply lure Kasier into a trap. Not only that, because of her moderately average intelligence, as long as someone is higher than average intelligence, he or she should be able to trick Kasier in one way or another as long as they go about it in a creative or difficult manner.

Lazy – This is an easy one to explain. Look, she is only level twenty-eight and they are already on the, she doesn’t even know what floor they are on! Kasier started a shop that she wanted to keep going for as long as she can and within the first few weeks of starting the shop, it immediately crumbled when she failed to find employees to work in it. And the reason that she even wanted people to work in it was due to her laziness as a crafter. This lazy trait might eventually hinder her progress in leveling up as a front liner.
