After being ganged up on by the wights Xion rammed a few out of his way with his shield, pushing out of the crowd of enemies so that he had more room to move his weapon and use it properly. As he did most of the wights that he had been fighting instantly turned to face him, eager to attack, but others imply ambled about with no purpose. Confused, but glad Xion rushed at them again, his glaive glowing red as he used another AOE sword art, the head of the blade striking four of the wights and doing little damage, but every point helped. In response the creatures attacked him, the tank quickly reacting and blocking the onslaught of blows with his shield, the HP of the creatures dropping in large chunks as his thorns punished them for attacking the shield's wielder, one of them even dying. "That's one of the bastards..."

Hikoru watched as the thorns came into play and he wore a small smile on his face. His Health was rising slowly, but it was getting somewhere. If he had some regen, it would be going much faster, but this would have to do for now. He sighed and crossed his arms, waiting impatiently for his health to regen. He felt horrible for having to leave him to fight those now 6 Creatures. but until he got every single one with Hate, he wouldn't take the chance of going back in. He had to wait for him to kill two more of these creatures before he went in for an attack then. He sighed and waited, watching to see what Xion would do next

"Just leave him to die..." The voice whispered "He would do the same to you..." He breathed grit his teeth, ignoring the voice he had trusted. Now it was feeding him lies, and he knew he couldn't trust it

After successfully taking one of the wights down through his thorns Xion backed off with his shield held up. "I'm killing them...just not as quickly as I would have liked..." Xion said to himself, cursing his low damage output as it was stopping him from taking them out effectively. "Such is the issue with a tank build...oh well..." he said before rushing at the creatures, his glaive missing it's mark as the wights retaliated, most of them missing completely, a couple landing glancing blows on the player's armour which did nothing to his HP. "Damn things need to hit me otherwise I'll be here all day"

Hikoru sighed and was happy as His Energy was finally maxed, and he stood, preparing to fight. He would wait for his health to regen one more click, then he would charge back into the battle. he breathed and waited to see what would happen next, seeing if he would be clear to attack. He knew his friend wouldn't be able to see him, but he was fine with that. He took his time and opened his HUD changing his ring for his Amulet, bringing his stats back to normal and feeling better already, knowing that there was no way of him missing now. He breathed and waited for the right moment to come back and attack

After the wights had launched their failed assault Xion sighed. He wasn't dealing the damage that he needed to due to the incompetence of his enemies, it was a frustrating experience, made even worse by the fact that he was not the one failing but more his enemies. "Come on..." he muttered before readying a sword art, his glaive glowing red before he swung it in a wide arc as he had done before, the blow connecting with four of the wights but still doing a pitiful amount of damage. After which the wights retaliated, somehow their clumsy attacked managed to bypass the player's thorns, something which annoyed him further.

There is was, the perfect time to hit as all of them attacked. He smiled and charged forward, slicing into the back of one of the creatures, smiling as he sliced right through it, leaving it in pixels. he laughed lightly as he gave a thumbs up to Xion

"Did you miss me?" He said with a light chuckle and sat as he waited to see what would happen next, preparing to get hit if need be. He knew that he could easily be killed, and it scared him to no end, but he knew that he had to help protect Xion the best he could, although, he was the one in need right now. But he knew that he would be safe. Only one would attack him now if his calculations were correct, if Xion howled anyways.

As Xion faced the mass of wights he looked to some of the shadows, trying to see where his friend was. Of course, he knew that he wouldn't find him, the player hadn't invested any SP in search and detect so he had no chance of seeing Hikoru unless he wanted to be seen. "Well... I'll just have to fight until he-" the player was then cut off mid sentence as Hikoru appeared suddenly, his dagger ripping through one of the wights and destroying it utterly. "Hik...nice shot" he said with a grin before Howling once more, making sure that as many wights as possible were attacking him before they rushed him, four of them struck the tank, bypassing hit thorns but doing little damage while one of them attacked Hikoru, dealing a sizeable amount of damage. "Hopefully we can end this soon"

Hikoru sighed and waited, but as he was struck by the one creature, he fell to the ground and gasped as his health reached the Red Zone again, and he shuddered in fear as he was afraid, his fears becoming a reality. He was too scared to move, too scared to fight, too scared to do anything, he just sat on his knees, shaking in fear as nothing could be done to save him now, would he run? Yes, but his legs couldn't move, his body wouldn't listen. He was overcome with fear, and he couldn't do anything about it

Xion let out an audible growl of anger as his friend was attacked by one of the wights, the tank turning to face the creature which slowly moved closer and closer to Hikoru. "Damn things need to stop attacking him..." he said angrily as the four which were focusing on him came closer. He took a second to think about what to do, he couldn't let it hit Hik any more, his HP was already low enough. "That's what I'll do...I'll stun it" he said before running at the wights that had attacked Hikoru, his glaive just missing it's mark as he swung, seconds after it tried to attack Hikoru but Xion knocked it's weapon out of the way with his own glaive, the remaining enemies trying to strike him from behind but not being able to either actually hit him ot get through his armour.

Hikoru breathed and stood slowly as Xion disarmed the creature that was coming towards him. He stood, gripping his Dagger and charging at one of the weaker ones that were aiming for, watching it turn into pixels in front of him. He just smiled and gave a small sigh, and sending a thumbs up towards Xion, a small chuckle escaping his lips

"T-there... no way I can die now unless you do.... Just howl one last time...." He said quietly, breathing and sitting on his knees, doing his best to calm himself and get ready to fight again

Xion watched as Hikoru swiftly went about eliminating one of the remaining wights which was low on health, reducing the number of remaining enemies to four. "Good work...Now I can get them all to attack me" Xion said before facing the four remaining wights, the player letting out a loud howl which sent the creatures into a rage. The wights rushed him, their weapons somehow finding a gap in his armour and striking with odd precision, his thorns not taking effect as his HP was whittled down point by point. "All right that should be all of them on me Hikoru, let's finish this so we can take the kind down"

Hikoru let out a long sigh of relief as he now knew that he was safe from any harm or danger that could have affected him. Xion had gained far more than enough Hate to keep the creatures under control and locked onto him, leaving Hikoru to fend off the creatures slowly and surely, bringing a small smile to his face. He was happy that him and his friend had done as well as they had. He just wished he had more health with him, as now he was hitting the lower end of the spectrum, which scared him. He breathed and charged forward, striking another one of the creatures head on and watching it fade to pixels. He smiled and gave Xion a thumbs up

"Three more to go. Can those thorns of yours do any damage to these creatures? I'm running low on energy again." He said as he sighed and waited for the creatures to attack Xion

Xion watched as Hikoru went about taking another of the creatures down with ease, the tank couldn't help but marvel at the amount of damage that daggers could do even when restrictions were being put on them. "My thorns can do damage Hikbut they seem to be getting critical strikes quite a bit..." Xion said in response to Hikoru's question before tackling the wights again, the tank running forwards and swinging downwards with his glaive which unlickily missed and only struck the snow next to the feet of the wights. In response to this the creatures all attacked the player, Xion blocking all of the blows with his shield as they took some thorns damage. "Just as you mention it Hikoru" Xion noted with a chuckle as he watched his HP regen.

Hikoru just laughed as they hit and the thorns kicked in, giving him the ability to finish off these creatures. He laughed and charged forward, using a slightly less powerful Sword-Art, slicing through the creatures with ease with a satisfactory smile on his lips. He was able to finish off another one, leaving it to only two remaining creatures. But he looked at his energy and realised that he wouldn't be able to finish it off

"Xion" He said "I have enough energy for a decent attack, but after that, I have to run again. I know you can beat at least one of these creatures, and hopefully your thorns will kick in while im gone." He said with a small smile "Good luck Tankling, because your DPS is running low on energy and has to regroup"

As Hikoru took down another one of the wights Xion smiled, after their initial disaster the two were taking the creatures down rather quickly and with little trouble other than Hikoru's HP remaining rather low. "Good Job hik, these things shouldn't be bothering us for much longer" Xion said as the dagger user finished his attack, Xion noticed that his energy bar was rather low, the black haired man even telling Xion himself. "I understand Hik...don't worry I'll take them out" Xion told the man with a smile before attacking the wights, his galive glowing again as the used yet anotehr AOE sword art, dealing a small amount of damage to the wights, which responded by striking Xion with all of their fury, his thorns not taking effect as he battled against the blows. "The funny thing is they could attack me all day and I wouldn't even come close to death..." Xion said to Hikoru as he backed off, smiling as his HP regenerated.

Hikoru breathed and moved forward with his last attack, slashing through the enemy and causing half of its health to fall. As the last of his energy left the bar, Hikoru fell to one knee and sighed, breathing heavy and feeling the exhaustion from his energy bar get to him. He would have to wait one turn, but as soon as he could he would be running back to the shadows to regain energy. He gave a small sigh and gave a thumbs up to Xion

"Okay man..." He said between breaths "These guys are... all yours..." He said with a small breath and stood slowly to watch what would happen next "Hopefully your... thorns kick in..." He said with a small chuckle

"Well done Hik..." Xion said as his friend attacked one of the two remaining wights, the black haired player's dagger ripping into the creature and halving it's HP. "Go and rest so that you can regen, I can take these two easily..." he told him with a smile before turning to face the wights once more, the player gripping his glaive tightly as he thought about what he should do. "You know my energy is getting a little low to..." he said before running at the wight with the lowest health, using a simple attack instead of a sword art, the blade of the weapon pierced it's abdomen and dealt little damage before Xion ripped it out, the two wights attacking the player who took very little damage while they were punished by his thorns. "Hopefully this won't take long Hik" he said as his Hp regenerated back to full thanks to his shield enhancements.

Hikoru breathed and stood, sheathing his dagger and fleeing the scene once more. Both him and Xion were having difficulty with their Energy, but Xion was the tank, so even if he was attacking, it wasn't as crucial as his own energy at dealing damage, as his thorns dealt decent damage on their own. He gave a small sigh as he was soon surrounded by shadows, entering stealth and watching the battle scene from afar once more. He wished that he could easily bring his Energy back, but he knew that he needed to focus on his Sneak and Hide skill before anything, so he could easily be able to get away and hide easily. Then once he added the Surprise attack mod, he would easily be able to attack and deal damage to creatures and bosses easily, then run off and enter the shadows, causing an endless loop of attacks that couldn't be stopped unless he was found. He smiled at the thought, and realised that maybe his build was just right for him, he just needed to finish it.

Xion took a second to look away from the wights and check on Hikoru. Gone, the black haired player had disappeared into the shadows as they had planned. "Good...he can regen" Xion said to himself before facing the creatures once more, the blonde smiling as he looked at their health bars. "One more round of thorns will kill one of them, and bring the other one close do death...they just need to hit me" he muttered to himself before running at the weakest wight, swinging his galive downwards and into the mob's shoulder, doing a little damage before they tried to attack him, the attacks bouncing harmlessly off of his armour which meant that his thorns didn't take effect. "Damnit, more delays"

Hikoru sat on the ground and waited for his health and energy to regen, watching as Xion hit the creature again, but the creatures missing their own attack. They were so close to beating these creatures and moving on to the actual boss, but no such luck so far. They had spent far too long on these creatures, and they would be done if he had his full power on him.But sadly, something about this area and this Quest stopped him from being able to do anything about it being stuck at 10, and he was sure that Nothing would work, not charge or potions, as if it could change his base stat of 13, then how would buffs be able to work? He sighed and muttered to himself, awaiting for his Energy to regen and his Health to rise bit by bit, awaiting to see if Xion could finish these creatures off, or he would have to jump back in to give the finishing blow
