Itzal 0 Posted August 5, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 5, 2016 (edited) Itzal and Alisa walked out of the town once again, heading for the nearby forest to gather materials. Beyond that was the meadow but Itzal decided to surprise her. He also had another surprise for her. While she was too busy eating lunch Itzal had sent a message to Jonathan asking if he could meet him and Alisa outside the town of beginnings. He didn't know Jonathan that long but already he was a good friend. He knew that Jonathan might be able to help Alisa come out of her shell better than he could. As they walked the townspeople once again hurried away from Itzal, but now looked slightly confused at why a young girl was accompanying him. He didn't care. When they reached the gate he scanned the grounds for Jonathan but didn't see him. Then he had an idea. Since his friend wasn't here yet he might as well test his stealth skills. "Hey Alisa, I'm going to check something real quick ok? Just stay by the gate, you'll be fine. I'll be back before you know it." When she nodded he rushed over to a shaded area in a patch of dense trees, the shadows hiding him from view. Itzal was hoping Jonathan wouldn't see him but seeing as how he only just started he might actually be found. Base stealth: 10 + 2 skill + 1 darkness = 13 stealth total Edited August 8, 2016 by Itzal
Mossino 0 Posted August 5, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 5, 2016 (edited) She looked curiously at him as he scurried off, but she wasn't bothered by it. She stood by the gate idling there, putting her hands together, waiting. She wondered what Itzal-senpai had in store for her now. Probably less fighting, as they've already done that today. She stood there minding her own business. After a few minutes she got bored and sighed, leaning against the gate wall. She wasn't going to force himself in on his private business but she was getting a bit restless. She was pumped to keep training. She tried to think of what they would be doing. Probably some form of exercise to get her agility and movement freedom up. In the forest, maybe moving tree by tree? That would make sense. Though, she didn't know Itzal well enough to presume what he was going to do, while on the other hand Alisa was an open book. Edited August 8, 2016 by Mossino
Morgenstern 1 Posted August 5, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 5, 2016 (edited) Jonathan walked on the streets of floor one. He had talked to Itzal about helping someone earlier, then he had just received a message telling him to meet him by the gate. Jonathan walked over. He seen a few players. He seen a few boys in low leveled armor, a boy and a girl strolling through the area, and a lone girl sitting by herself. Jonathan presumed it was the Alisa girl Itzal talked to him about. Question was, where was Itzal. Jonathan looked through scanning again. He did not see Itzal in the area at all. Jonathan shrugged. He walked over to the lone girl and asked, Are you by chance Alisa, If not sorry to waste your time..." Jonathan ended with a warm smile to try and not frighten the girl. She appeared to be a little younger than him. Spoiler 65555 LD:6 Itzal No where to be found Edited August 5, 2016 by Morgenstern
Itzal 0 Posted August 5, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted August 5, 2016 Itzal slowly made his way over to Jonathan, who clearly could not see him. Satisfied he left the shadows and took off the hood and mouthpiece, walked silently behind Jonathan and jabbed his finger into Jonathan's back, knowing the armor would keep it from hurting. "My first successful sneak," he said with pride. When Jonathan turned around they hugged each other, now becoming pretty good friends. Itzal decided to introduce the two of them. "Alisa this is Jonathan, a good friend of mine. As you can see he's a tank as well. Jonathan, this is Alisa. My, apprentice." Again he felt weird saying it, but he assumed it would grow on him eventually. "She want's to be a damage dealer as well as a scout. We hope to help the front lines but not really risk death at the same time. I finished teaching her combat basics before lunch and was thinking we could hunt for materials. I think she's got a good eye and I want to confirm it. Care to join us?"
Mossino 0 Posted August 5, 2016 #5 Share Posted August 5, 2016 (edited) Alisa giggled lightly as Itzal scared then hug the newcomer. So this was a man named Jonathan. Well, if he was a friend of senpai's then he was a friend of hers. She gave him a light wave then held out her hand, "Nice to meet you Jonathan! I'm Alisa!" she states excitedly. Taking a few seconds she then asks, "What are we doing now for training senpai?" Alisa chuckles at the last word, still getting a kick out of saying it. The girl Jonathan was seeing was shorter, and most definitely the youngest there, still in the middle teenager years. She had long brown-ish hair and brown eyes. Alisa still wore the starter clothes and all the started gear. Though, she was eager to learn and move away from being a starter. She wanted to be up there on the front lines, helping them kill the bosses and escape the game. Edited August 8, 2016 by Mossino
Morgenstern 1 Posted August 5, 2016 #6 Share Posted August 5, 2016 Jonathan smiled as Alisa introduced herself. She seemed to be very happy compared to everyone else in the death game. Jonathan slightly felt it as a finger was jabbed into his back He barely felt it from his armor but it surprised him. Jonathan turned. He seen Itzal. Heyyyyy. Where did you co... Itzal hugged him, which was surprising but Jonathan accepted and hugged back. Jonathan miled and listened to Itzal as he explained that Alisa wanted to be a damage dealer and a scout. Jonathan turned to look at Alisa. It would surely at least surprise him if she maxed out damage then then she would, with her size, be seen as weak. Then she would whoop them. It would be a great concealment of stats. Then he heard Itzal say something about material hunting. Jonathan turned to look at Itzal. You invited me to the one thing I sucked at! Come one! Jonathan turned to look at Alisa once more. First advice, do not be stupid like me and Itzal and stay solo for the whole game so far... We are working on creating a guild though. Itzal 0 Posted August 5, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted August 5, 2016 Itzal worked hard to keep himself from laughing when Jonathan complained about the material hunting. "Well it's your fault for focusing on nothing but combat!" He shook his head and then really laughed when he mentioned their own stupidity. When he mentioned the guild he recalled the event. He had mentioned to Jonathan that Adhae and Verus mentioned something about making a guild and they built on that idea. "Yeah. Hopefully if we get it up and running it will be designed to help low level players get on their feet or help them reach the front lines. The guild itself won't directly assist the front lines of course, but individuals can. So far we think that besides Adhae, Verus, myself and Jonathan, Kasier might be a good choice. I've only seen her once but she's very sweet and working towards being a healer." OOC- Ok guys I'm off to bed, see you later!
Mossino 0 Posted August 5, 2016 #8 Share Posted August 5, 2016 (edited) Alisa smiled at the men as they talked back and forth, staying quiet. She wasn't the most comfortable around Jonathan yet, so she would most likely be more quiet around him for a bit. She had nothing to say so, she didn't say anything. Just stood there and waited. They seemed to have become good friends, Jonathan and Itzal. It was nice to get lost in conversation or focused on training. To be honest it distracted her from the fact they could die nearly at any moment. This made her frown lightly as she tried to get the thoughts of death out of her head. Luckily, the conversation turned back to what she could understand and pulled her out of her own thoughts. A guild? She forgot such things existed in games like this. An organized bunch of players dedicated towards one goal. Whether it was escaping or helping, they were a good idea. Edited August 8, 2016 by Mossino
Morgenstern 1 Posted August 5, 2016 #9 Share Posted August 5, 2016 Jonathan smiled as Itzal began to name off all the people that could join. Verus and Adhae, Itzal had talked about them but Jonathan had not yet met him. Kasier however, Jonathan had helped her from level one. Jonathan looked at Alisa who seemed to go quiet from confusion. Jonathan smiled and said, "So, about the materials...." Trying to hint that they were off track. He looked at Alisa and then Itzal. Itzal was a lot different from when he first met him though. He went from Shy to outgoing in a heartbeat. Maybe he could change Alisa the same way.
Itzal 0 Posted August 5, 2016 Author #10 Share Posted August 5, 2016 (edited) Itzal heard Jonathan's hint and nodded. "Right," he said. "I was thinking we could search the forest on this floor. It's got plenty of materials and since a lot of players have moved on, there might be some left. Come on let's go!" When they started off Itzal whispered to Jonathan what plans he had made so far. He told him how he started with basic combat and how the following day he'd implement exercises into the training as well. Once she was strong enough he'd begin teaching basic parkour to her and once her level was high enough he'd begin sparing with her in order to develop her fighting style. Finally they would practice stealth once she gained the skill. "However I was hoping you would be particularly helpful in her development in social skills," he finished. He said this quickly but slow and clearly enough for him to grasp before Alisa could notice. Afterwards he took place beside her and shared how their looking for herbs, fruit, ores, animal meat, etc. Anything that could be a material for a profession. Itzal smiled as he spotted something before they even reached the forest and walked over, pulling out a pink crystal a little bigger than his hand, showed it to Alisa, and put it in his inventory. "This would be perfect for recording songs." OOC- When searching for materials you use the ld: 15 or higher means you found something. That's why I'm very much eager for those clothes I ordered at Ariel's shop. +3 ld. Also I don't think the player supporters will allow that little to be written. Mossino 0 Posted August 5, 2016 #11 Share Posted August 5, 2016 (edited) Alisa followed them off into the forest, not exactly sure how to find these materials. Though, as the walked, she noticed Itzal whispering, bits of his cheek rising and falling as he talked. She had a keen eye and had noticed, but she wasn't going to but in. That wasn't something she did, she knew eavesdropping was wrong. After he stopped whispering, Itzal informed her how to find materials. Anything that looked off or a bit special, plants, meat, stuff like that. She nodded and got to work trying to find something. Though, as she started Itzal showed her some kind of pink crystal. She gave a look of confusion at his comment and the crystal. "What?" she simple asks while continuing to look. She sighs in light frustration as she can't find anything. You would think the forest would be full of materials, but apparently not. That or she sucked at finding them that much. ____ Roll ID: ID# 65578 LD: 3 Edited August 8, 2016 by Mossino
Morgenstern 1 Posted August 5, 2016 #12 Share Posted August 5, 2016 (edited) Jonathan watched as Itzal cleanly found a material. Jonathan looked at Alisa, but hse seemed to have a bit of trouble. Don't worry, I am in the same boat, He mentally commented. He searched through a few bushes. Hopefully he would find something to sent an example for her, although it was practically all luck. Jonathan peered into the bushes but found nothing. Jonathan sighed. He had not been kidding about sucking at finding materials. Jonathan returned his gaze to Alisa. She seemed slightly frustrated. She wanted to be a damage dealer. The only thing that might have a chance standing up to a tank, and the frontliners in the boss fights. 65581 LD:7 Edited August 5, 2016 by Morgenstern
Itzal 0 Posted August 5, 2016 Author #13 Share Posted August 5, 2016 (edited) Itzal noticed he confused her with his example and decided to let her search. They had reached the forest by now and Itzal recalled this as the spot he and Verus searched long ago. As he looked around he thought he saw an herb and reached to grab it, then shot his hand back as he recognized the plant all too well. Talk about memories. This was the poison ivy he plunged his hands into unsuspectedly that same day. He was about to move on when he noticed something: He looked closer and was surprised, but excited to see a rare herb behind it. Grinning he reached for it then hesitated, found a large stick, and used it to move the poison ivy out of the way and his free hand to snag the herb. As he pulled it away he stored it in his inventory. He didn't like boasting so he said nothing to his comrades as he continued to search. Maybe his next skill should be search and detect. Mossino 0 Posted August 5, 2016 #14 Share Posted August 5, 2016 (edited) At this point she wasn't paying attention to Itzal or Jonathan, she just wanted to find something and be somewhat useful. And complete the training at the same time. She steps a bit further away trying to find something in and or around the bushes. But, yet again, she finds nothing. Shaking her head she looks around for another spot, muttering about how this is way more difficult than she expected. It was starting to frustrate her a bit, and she didn't get angry quickly. Well, she would like to believe she didn't get angry quickly, but, she was prone to easy mood swings. One small bad event? She is upset. Small good event? Happy again. Her mood was fickle, but it was easy to change and make happy again. Though, this made her rather influential, which is a flaw in her own personality. Hopefully no one bad-mannered abuses it. _______ ID: ID# 65583 LD: 11 Edited August 8, 2016 by Mossino
Morgenstern 1 Posted August 6, 2016 #15 Share Posted August 6, 2016 (edited) Sorry was busy all day Jonathan watched as Itzal found another another material. He seemed to be the king at this. Alisa had still not found one and proved to be frusterated. Jonathan peered into the trees, stepping over a fallen branch and looking into the tall grass. He got tired of pushing across the grass, so he cut it down. Sad, there was nothing in the grass. Is anybody but mister, I am so good at hiding and finding, finding anything? Cause I am not... Killing mobs is way easier than this... 65603 LD:3 Edited August 6, 2016 by Morgenstern
Itzal 0 Posted August 6, 2016 Author #16 Share Posted August 6, 2016 (edited) OOC- I swear I've never been this lucky with the ld before!!! Itzal spotted another crystal nearby and picked it up. He began to wonder about his choice of skills. Perhaps he should rethink it. If he was going to be a scout he should work on his searching skills. Then again if he wanted to be able to handle higher floors he'd have to work on damage like Alisa wanted. After those he would need to work on his light armor as well. He could decide how he wanted to use his sneak skill when he had more time to consider the future. Perhaps the three of them should discuss it together. Multiple minds make up for flaws in others after all. ID# 65606 LD: 20 +1 MAT Edited August 6, 2016 by Itzal
Mossino 0 Posted August 6, 2016 #17 Share Posted August 6, 2016 (edited) Alisa walks again further away from the group, trying to find something hoping she'd get lucky. She steps behind some bushes a bit carelessly, but it would be enough to find something. Peering into bushes she would look for something helpful. But...yet again she finds nothing, she mutters to herself, which lets a bit of her accent come out, "UGhhhh, zis is pointless...." She sighs again. Progress was rather slow, but at least it wasn't deadly. All she had to do was find things of interest and grab them. After which they would turn into raw material that she could use later on. She wanted to be a cook most definietly. So, she would need to take that quest later on. Probably with Itzal to make it easier on herself. Then she could cook him a snack! He would enjoy that at some point or another. Though, she had an insatiable sweet tooth that was another reason. ____________ Roll ID: ID# 65608 LD: 9 Edited August 8, 2016 by Mossino

She proved to find nothing once again. Jonathan would probably end up the same. Jonathan peered at the base of a few trees, seeing if anything might be there. Jonathan pushed up a few braches with needles that was poking him. Once he reached the base, he proved to find nothing again. Itzal 0 Posted August 6, 2016 Author #19 Share Posted August 6, 2016 (edited) OOC- Morgenstern you cursed me, look at what you've done Itzal was scanning the area when he noticed that Alisa was wandering further from the group. He was getting concerned when he recalled that he searched the area for possible mobs before beginning and had found nothing. Calming down now that he knew she wasn't in harms way he heard her complain in her French accent. Despite that it was a complaint she sounded cute saying it. He never really heard French before and it simply added to her charm. He smiled. Then he noticed Jonathan mouthing the words 'I know right' to Alisa. When Jonathan turned back to the forest to continue Itzal cocked an eyebrow, making a face that clearly told Jonathan 'Really?' in a sarcastic manner. Mossino 0 Posted August 6, 2016 #20 Share Posted August 6, 2016 (edited) Alisa didn't notice Jonathan mouth any words to her. She was too busy trying to find SOMETHING. She was muttering very quietly in French, but they could hear a few foreign words in there. Finally, she found some interesting looking plants. Leaning down, she touches them and they dissapear into her inventory. She smiles to herself, and she utters, "Oui! Finally!" She was rather happy that she finally found a piece of material. Hopfully this would give her enough luck to keep finding them. She wondered how many materials it took to make food items. Was it dynamic and a big plate took this many materials and a small snack took this many? She didn't know, and would have to figure out eventually. But for now, she continued her search for materials after finding her first one. Perhaps her food can even help her find more materials at some point... _________ ROLL ID: ID# 65611 LD: 15 MAT +1 Edited August 8, 2016 by Mossino
