Morgenstern 1 Posted August 6, 2016 #21 Share Posted August 6, 2016 (edited) OOC I was just passing on the luck XD Jonathan noticed as Alisa muttered some french words, out of frustration and determination. Jonathan had always wanted to learn French. The language of love sounded amazingly sweet. Sadly, All his Father had taught him was Latin. And a small bit of German. Jonathan sighed and moved back to searching. He then heard Alisa say Finally! Jonathan turned to see her with a mat in her hand that in a second would dissolve. Jonathan looked back to his station and searched. He ended up Cold turkey. Jonathan sighed. 65613 LD:14 SO CLOSE! AGAIN! JUST ONCE PLEASE! Itzal 0 Posted August 6, 2016 Author #22 Share Posted August 6, 2016 Felix walked over to Alisa and patted her on the back for her find. "A keen eye and the knowledge of what one is looking for is the key to scouting. When you know exactly what you're looking for, and when one has eyes like yours it's easy to find anything. Don't worry, to be honest I think I was lucky today." He winked at her and stood up, deciding to cut Jonathan some slack. "Jonathan! Would you like to fight a few monsters? The mobs on this floor won't deal more than three damage so it should be safe for Alisa as long as we're here." He knew it would make Jonathan happy. Maybe they'd get lucky and get some decent loot from the monsters. He gestured for Alisa to follow with a gentle smile and they made their way through the forest. Nearby were two boar and a bear. They seemed to ignore each other for the most part but honestly it made no difference. All three were toast soon enough. Itzal made a small bow. "After you Jonathan." Mossino 0 Posted August 6, 2016 #23 Share Posted August 6, 2016 (edited) Alisa smiled widely, loving the compliment. "This is rather difficult though.." she states, letting Itzal talk after that. Fight some more monsters? That works perfect for her. She would follow them towards further into the forest. After a while they would stop in front of some boars and a bear. They looked...a lot higher level than her, so she took a few, rapid, scared steps backwards away from the beasts. "Ah..I'll uh...sit out...this one." She was a bit of a scaredy cat. She was voluntarily sheltered all her life. Go outside? No, I would rather watch anime. Want to do this? No, sorry, I don't want to. She never did anything new in her life. The most fantastical thing ever to happen to her was getting trapped in this game. And perhaps it was a blessing. It meant she had to do new things, she had to participate, she had to make friends, she had to do things. To be honest, deep down, she was enjoying this. Morgenstern 1 Posted August 6, 2016 #24 Share Posted August 6, 2016 (edited) Jonathan watched as Alisa backed away, seemingly terrified. Jonathan did not have a sure coverage on hate yet, but he would soon. He was saving SP for the Howl skill. Jonathan faced the boars and the bear. He unsheathed his sword and held out his shield ready to deal damage. Jonathan looked at Alisa, and made a grin. A grin that would make one think he loved fighting. His gaze returned to the monsters. He needed to get AOE Skill in to gather all of their attention. Jonathan dashed forward. His sword gleaming a bright green light that illuminated the forest. the light from the sword apparently caught the attention of the animals because they attacked with precise persicion. Itzal 0 Posted August 6, 2016 Author #25 Share Posted August 6, 2016 (edited) OOC- Hey, you were the one who suggested monster fighting. Should have been patient like me ^.^ As Jonathan prepared his attack Itzal leaned in toward his pupil. "Don't worry" he said. "Jonathan will draw their attention. Once he's done that we'll attack only one monster, probably a boar until it's dead, then move to the next one. Each time we attack them Jonathan will strike hard to keep them from attacking us back. And don't worry, if they try attacking you I'll intercept to take the hit ok?" He put a gentle hand on her shoulder. "I promise you, you will not die today. Especially from some stupid boar," he finished with a grin. Now that Jonathan had their attention he moved in. Just to make sure she felt totally comfortable fighting, he used horizontal square to stun their first target, boar A. After dealing the damage he ran off to the side and shouted, "Ok your turn Alisa! It's stunned so don't worry about getting hit! And don't bother with a sword art, it's got too much MIT!" Mossino 0 Posted August 6, 2016 #26 Share Posted August 6, 2016 (edited) Alisa still looked rather reluctant to fight these enemies, but with the plan explained and Itzal comforting her, she felt a lot better. Nodding, she drew her rapier and prepared it for an attack. As the boar was routed and then stunned, she took the opportunity to go in for a basic attack, but as she is moving in for the attack, she fumbles her footing and stumbles, missing the attack. She quickly steps back after her attack misses, dumbfounded and embarrassed. Hmph, these enemies had more agility than the last, and felt like dodging and evading her attacks a lot more than she would hope for. Shaking her head, she readies for her next attack after Itzal and Jonathan have a go at it. She would do her best to help but. Her best wasn't going to be much help here at all. She sighed, and watched Jonathan move up for his attack. ________ Roll ID: ID# 65619 BD: 5 Edited August 8, 2016 by Mossino
Morgenstern 1 Posted August 6, 2016 #27 Share Posted August 6, 2016 (edited) Jonathan watched closely as Itzal and Alisa missed, so Jonathan remained with the Hate. Jonathan dashed forward, striking at the three enemies. His sword gleamed a bright green light, that demanded attention. He batted the Bear's claw away with his shield, then quickly slashed in the shape of a square. He sent all of the creatures flying back. He watched as the monsters dazzily got themselves up. Jonathan smiled. He looked back to Itzal and yelled for him to switch. He moved back to Alisa and said, "Don't worry, I would never let anyone in my party die...." Itzal 0 Posted August 6, 2016 Author #28 Share Posted August 6, 2016 (edited) Itzal grinned at Jonathan's words and charged the second boar. He didn't want to waste too much energy so he didn't use a sword art. Good thing too. The boar had seen what happened to it's partner and was ready for Itzal. He stabbed his blade at the boar and it jumped to the side, letting him pass. Itzal began to fall and rolled when he made contact with the ground, instinctively keeping himself from harm. He glanced at Alisa, whom he knew was worried and winked at her before backing up to a more offensive position, able to strike after Jonathan made his move. ID# 65640 BD: 3 Missed.... Mossino 0 Posted August 6, 2016 #29 Share Posted August 6, 2016 (edited) Alisa, still frightened, was calmed by the power Jonathan and Itzal held. Jonathan destroyed the battlefield in one attack! That's amazing! She had an awe filled expression on her face for a second, before she was drawn back into the battle. Yes! Enemies to kill..She looks at the other boar, and readies her attack. Her Rapier glows a bright white as she charges one of her sword arts, 'Rip Ravine' It charges for half a second then she moves forward and attacks Boar B. But, as she is moving in for the attack, the boar reveals its neck to her. Seeing a weak spot she moves in to hit it, and does, forming a V shape cut on its neck. She dealt a critical hit. She steps back out of the frey after dealing the hit, scared of getting attacked herself. But, she was happy that she dealt such a good hit, until she realized the monster had armor, and only took 1 HP of damage...this made her frown. __________ ROLL ID: ID# 65641 BD: 9 Rip Ravine: 2 Energy Alisa 12/12 HP 1/3 Energy She dealt 1 damage. Morgenstern 1 Posted August 6, 2016 #30 Share Posted August 6, 2016 (edited) Jonathan watched as Alisa made a great hit to the remaining boar. Jonathan's energy meter was low so he would head after the bear. Jonathan faced the bear and took a deep breath. His blade gleamed a duller green then before, and Jonathan dashed at the enemy. The bear growled and swiped it's paw at Jonathan, causing him to duck away. Jonathan sighed. He was tired of not being able to hit the enemy. Jonathan awaited for Itzal to make his move. Itzal 0 Posted August 7, 2016 Author #31 Share Posted August 7, 2016 (edited) Itzal nodded to Jonathan and decided to let the fight go on a little bit. He rushed up and struck at the second boar, hitting it with a normal attack and dealing minimal damage to it. Ulises stirred uncomfortably but Itzal ignored it. He wanted to give Alisa more time to fight with them instead of feeling useless. He felt the more she fought with them the more comfortable she'd be in fights in general. Mossino 0 Posted August 7, 2016 #32 Share Posted August 7, 2016 (edited) Alisa nodded to Itzal after he hit it...they weren't doing much damage but this was the best they could do. Preparing a normal attack she moves in towards the boar that is still alive. Swiftly, she attempts to impale the boar, but, as she charges forward, she hits a rock, looses her balance, and falls onto her back, away from the boar. She literally just fell attempting to fight. Going red in the face from embarrassment, she quickly stands up and falls back, feeling horrible. She shook her head, looking at Itzal to see if he gave any disapproving glances. She didn't want those..she didn't want to be looked down upon...she was still so fragile physically and mentally. If it was broken there was no telling what could happen. She would probably shell up again and hide on the streets of the Town of Beginnings until they escaped, doing nothing what-so-ever. ________ Roll ID: ID# 65666 BD: 1 Edited August 8, 2016 by Mossino
Morgenstern 1 Posted August 7, 2016 #33 Share Posted August 7, 2016 (edited) With the attention of both monsters, Jonathan watched as Itzal stabbed the boar, without trying to kill it. Jonathan would not be able to help much if the mobs hit him just right. Jonathan stood in front of the enemies. He backed up as they advanced. Jonathan took a breath and charged in. His hair flying back with his speed. He stopped right in front of the creatures doing nothing. Allowing them to hit him. If they activated thorns they would be finished though. The bear slashed across Jonathan's chest but barely left and red. Jonathan looked at his allies seeing what they would do next. Mossino 0 Posted August 7, 2016 #34 Share Posted August 7, 2016 (edited) Alisa frowned, and she started to get a bit frustrated. She was doing no damage and was barely helping. That annoyed her to no end. She rushed forward to attempt to hit the boar. But, the boar just simple jumps out of her way, and she backs off, nearly swearing, but she stops herself and mutters in French, red in the face. Bringing her hand up, she holds her head for a second. If this was real-life she would already have a headache. Thank god those didn't seem to exist in this world or she'd have a migraine by now. She quickly shook her head and got ready again. She had to help fight this boar even if she wasn't doing damage right? She wasn't fully useless right?...Right? Whatever she was, she was going to help them deal some damage, even through her missing, hopefully. _________ Roll ID: ID# 65672 BD: 4 Edited August 8, 2016 by Mossino
Itzal 0 Posted August 7, 2016 Author #35 Share Posted August 7, 2016 (edited) Itzal took note of how both members had missed and decided to make it easier on all of them by removing one target. As he ran forward, he swung Retributor in circles around him, gaining the attention of the boar, and used snake bite on the creature, his blade glowing dark red. When he struck at it, even he barely saw his sword move. All he really saw was red pixels flying everywhere and shattered crystals. He knew he barely killed it but he knew the calculations. He didn't intend to over spend his energy. As he came to a stop he could see that the three of them had the bear completely surrounded. The creature seemed to know that it couldn't defeat them and neither could it escape. So now it intended to take as many of them as it could with it. Morgenstern 1 Posted August 7, 2016 #36 Share Posted August 7, 2016 (edited) Jonathan watched as Itzal killed one of the mobs, leaving them left with the bear to deal with. Jonathan turned his focus to the lone bear. It was in the yellow zone. Jonathan sighed. This battle of no rewards was going on way too long. Jonathan walked to the bear and readied himself to block the attack then counter. Jonathan must attack. It would not be enough but it would bring it down. Jonathan quickly thrust his sword forward, stabbing the mighty beast, then slashed across it's chest. It brought it down to a third of its health, and added a lot more hate to it. Mossino 0 Posted August 7, 2016 #37 Share Posted August 7, 2016 (edited) Alisa, seeing the boar fall quite easily to Itzal's attack, realized how rather weak she actually was. Shaking her head she readied her rapier and moved in the on the final enemy, the bear. Getting in close she thrusts for the head of the beast. But, the bear being a smarter creature than the boars, sees the incoming attack and stands up on its hind legs, making her completely miss. Realizing she was under it, she squeaks, scared of it coming down on her and, she quickly recoils, fuming that she has missed this much. This is what she hated. Missing and the feeling of uselessness. She realized even hitting the thing meant she did a lowsy one damage. One single damage. Why was she even here? Doing anything here was just met with failure. She was already grumpy...this wasn't helping much. Itzal 0 Posted August 7, 2016 Author #38 Share Posted August 7, 2016 Itzal watched Alisa and took note how she was getting frustrated with her missing so much. He was guessing that some of it had to do with Itzal and Jonathan's consistent hits and that she felt pressured because of it. So he made a deaicion. He ran up and faked a miss, speaking to Jonathat at a volume only he could bear. "Try to give Alisa as many chances you can for her to hit the bear, but if it looks like it's about to hit her finish it off." with that he planned to keep missing until the fight was over. Mossino 0 Posted August 7, 2016 #39 Share Posted August 7, 2016 (edited) Alisa was getting lightly angry, and in her flash of anger she rushed forward attempting to hit the bear in the head again, wanting the fight to be over. In her rush she catches the bear off guard and catches its neck, dealing a critical hit! She jumps back as the cut on the bear's neck goes from pixelization back to fur. She smiles at herself from getting another critical hit. So this was it. The rush of combat. She loved it so much, and wanted more. The pixelization of hitting an enemy, finding the weak spots and dealing critical hits. This was her game, and she loved it. Though, the exact opposite happened when she missed or failed. She had a very high competitive spirit in her. This could be tamed in the future to help fighting and get her out on the front lines.
