[PP-F1] Moving up in life <Itzal, Mossino and Morgenstern> Completed

Recommended Posts

Alisa moves in for another hit. She had no fancy moves or duck in and out of combat. She couldn't run and then slide beside the bear and cut open its side. She couldn't jump over it and bring her rapier down on it and deal massive damage. She didn't have the agility or energy to pull something like that off. It would be a long time before she could. Until then, all she could do was run up, or just approach the enemy and attempt to attack it. In the future she will just sneak up on it, and get blows like that. The best she could do is wait for Jonathan to attack, then she could attack. Which is exactly what she did, and she got close enough to the bear to attack. But, as she is moving towards the bear, it seems her and swipes at her, making her recoil and miss her rapier impalement. She goes back to frowning, feeling completely useless.

Jonathan watched as Alisa missed again. She seemed to be frustrated with missing Jonathan was starting to get bored with the creature. He advanced on the creature, He had no energy left so he just slashed his sword forward, trying to hit the creature. The bear moved in just enough time for Jonathan to miss. The bear swiped but Jonathan dodged. With a sigh he backed away giving Alisa another chance for an attack. Jonathan looked back to Itzal. Wonder, what he's doing.

She was quickly starting to lose her cool. Alisa felt fully useless in this entire fight. Even when gathering materials she only got one. Shaking her head she moves forward carelessly attempting to strike the bear. Her carelessness made her attack miss, only worsening her mood at this point. She hated missing and hated losing. Perhaps that was because she was what you could consider a spoiled child. She was trying her damnedest to beat the bear but. It just wasn't good enough. Its agility was too much for her low level. On top of that, she had no damage and was only dealing one to the bear when she got lucky enough to hit it. Ugh, this was horrible for her mood. At least Jonathan was going to end the fight at any time right?...Right? She hope he was going to, Alisa didn't want to fight anymore, it was bumming her out.

OOC You might want to add a little more to that. You want to keep the PST's on your good side or they will get really picky with your stuff.

Jonathan watched as Alisa missed yet again. The girl seemed absolutely frusterated. He watched as she stormed off away from the bear. The bear raised his claw ready to strike the unprepared player. Jonathan dashed forward, stepping in between the two. It had to end now. He dodged the swipe from the bear and slashed forward, but missed. Jonathan sighed. Somebody needed to hit and soon. Jonathan backed away from his opponent, with a roll. He yelled to Alisa. "You got this, Stay calm and Focus!"

She turned seeing the bear nearly strike her until Jonathan blocked it. She went red in the face from being embarrassed that she didn't see that coming. Stepping forward she nods. Focus, she needs to focus. Shaking her head the red in her face dissapears and she regains her focus. Moving forward she goes for a quick strike on the bears head. But, as she swiftly moves in, her foot gets caught on a tree root, and she falls face first in front of the bear, taking her time to regain her composure. As she lifts her head up, she sees the bears face at hers. She gulps and goes eye-wided, scared for her life at this point. Alisa realized she was staring death in the face, and was trapped and couldn't move. She needed someone to get her out quick! The bear wasn't going to attack her because of the hate mechanic but, she didn't know that.

Jonathan watched as Alisa moved in for an attack but completely mised, falling onto a tree root. Jonathan charged forward. He shoved the bear back with his body, away from Alisa. The bear growled and clawed him out of the way.Jonathan sat on the ground. This was not a dumb mob. This mob had carefully picked around to keep his thorns unactivated. Jonathan quickly moved to Alisa dropped his sword to help her. He got her foot un stuck and picked her up. He moved away from the bear and set the woman down. His sword was left by the bear. Jonathan sighed and ran at the bear. He slid underneath the bear, grabbing his sword in the process. He moved back to Alisa and said,
"You got this."

"T-T-Thanks..." she states, scared. You could see it in her eyes, she thought she was about to die. It takes her a good few seconds for her to even start moving towards the bear. She did it reluctantly, but eventually she made it back up to the bear, and attempted to impale it with her rapier. Her sluggish behavior and shaking, scared body make her miss quite easily. Her eyes widen and she quickly recoils. She didn't want to do this much longer. As she gets away from the bear you could see her muttering, but not really figure out what she is saying. Perhaps damnnations towards the bear. Perhaps she was cursing herself. Though, it was mostly ramblings about how she was that close to death. She was, but thanks to Jonathan's quick wit, she survived quite easily. Though, the hate mechanics pretty much stated she wouldn't die there.

Jonathan watched as the girl continued. She was obviously scared. You see it clearly with the fright in her eyes. She slowly went to the bear, striking but missing again. This could not go on any longer. With a sigh Jonathan moved forward, ready to take on the bear. He locked eyes with it, as it raised its arm to strike. Jonathan was so bored he let it happen. The bear struck Jonathan clean in the face. It did not really effect him though. This was getting very old and quit.

Alisa stood back. They couldn't kill this damn thing. She sighed and moved forward with no vim and vigor. She attempts to impale its head and it works amazingly. The attack lands but she does only the bare minimum damage of one. She quickly moves away, not even happy she landed a shot on the bear. Which was rather odd for her, normally when she did something good she was extremely happy. Though this shows how quickly her mood can change due to her childlike behavior. One second happy, the next upset. It was kind of funny looking at it from a third-person point of view. Even if it was funny, she was still highly upset. Nearly ripped into by an angry bear. It wasn't a good feeling. Though, so far, only one person was really been able to cheer her up. Itzal. And he'll probably do so soon, thankfully.

OOC-  LOL DUDE do you know how long I fought that one single stupid wolf?!

Itzal watched as they continued the fight.  Jonathan was trying to support Alisa but she simply grew more and more terrified.  Even when she landed a hit she was frightened.  Itzal sighed.  He was a terrible teacher.  He decided that he'd need to consult Jonathan, or someone else on how to work on building up her courage.  Itzal hadn't realized how frightened he was in this game at first until he went through the quest calming the mind, but she was nowhere near ready for that quest.  Physically or mentally.  He sighed as he realized he had to end this.  Itzal intended to just stab the creature with a simple sword art but Ulises went further by channeling all of their frustrations into the action.  Thus it came out as vorpal strike.

Glowing dark red, the power surging on the blade and flinging in every direction, Itzal charged.

"Out of the way!" he called, a little more rough than he had intended.  'Ulises', he mentally growled.  Jonathan saw his movement and jumped out of the way.  The bear roared after him but by the time it noticed Itzal it was way too late.  Retributor went into the bear's open maw and out the other end, the combined force of the sword art, critical hit, and bleeding completely exploding the bear's head into shining sparkles before the rest of the body joined it.  He sighed and turned to the group.

"Fun right?"

Jonathan watched as Itzal growled and came up, he brought forth his sword, and literally destroyed the Bear. Jonathan sighed an sheathed his sword. He looked at Itzal and plainly said. "Now that was the bear from hell... You would've thought we would need a raid group to even hit it..." Jonathan strolled over to Alisa and put a hand on her shoulder. "You're going to be okay. My advice is too calm down. You accuracy will begin to go crappy if you are not focused. " Jonathan walked away and looked at Itzal. "The bear is offically my least favorite animal now.... They are the bane of my existence.

Alisa see's Itzal finally spring forward and finish the bear off. Sighing to herself she removes her rapier. Looking around she sees a stump and sits down. She stares blankly forward, realizing how she was literally inches from death, at least Jonathan was there to save her. Alisa looked tired, sad, slightly defeated, and she felt useless. She shook her head and muttered something in French, "Inutile.." Alisa closes her eyes and takes a breath, trying to calm herself. It was one of the few words that could have an easy definition without knowing it. Itzal could probably tell what it meant just because of the way she was currently feeling. It meant useless, and she fully believed that is what she was at the time. It was a bad way to feel but, it was true. Alisa put her head in her hands, holding it there for a few minutes.

Itzal watches Alisa walk over and sit down.  He also saw the black rain cloud he found her under the day he met her return.  He was going to have to get to the bottom of this one way or another.  He looked up at the sky.  'God?' he thought.  'Why did you make me a teacher?'.  He sighed and strode over to Alisa.  As he sat down he put a comforting arm around her and just sat there.  From personal experience, he knew that many people, when either sad, angry or scared, don't want to be talked to, but rather want to be listened to.  Whatever wrong thoughts were going through her head right now she needed to expel as soon as possible before they took root.  Like Ulises had.  'Hey!'  Still, he had developed completely different than what her thoughts could become.  If she decided to look up at him all she would see in his eyes was the willingness to listen to all that pained her.  He was ready to help but he believed he finally found the right approach.

After a second, she finally feels Itzal's arm on her. She looks up, and then even further to meet his gaze. She laughed lightly to herself, then smiled. This was going to be easier than he thought. "I was being a bit of a downer there...sorry..was just scared of that bear..." she laughs again, at herself and her stupidity. "Guess I'm still a bit of a scaredy cat." The black cloud dissipates a bit. But, it is still metaphorically there somewhat. "Fighting those things made me feel useless.." she mutters after. "I have to get to a higher level.."

She did feel completely horrible. Did no damage to the bear and was nearly killed by it. She was lucky Jonathan was there to save her. She shook her head again, sighing. Once she finished training she would level up as quickly as she could, and become a lot more powerful.

Jonathan watched as Itzal sat by Alisa and put an arm around her. Jonathan sighed and sat down as well. Today, really had not been his day. He would apologize later. Then he listened as Alisa spoke. She said she had felt kind of useless.... Jonathan walked in front of the girl and said, "You are not useless. If you were useless, you would not be out here fighting with us to become stronger. You would be sitting in some little house. Someday, we will help all players, be the top guild, front line and First Floor. We are training for what we can become, nnot what we are. And If it makes you feel better, you were not going to die. I hogged all of the hate from the beginning. "

Itzal made a comforting pat on her shoulder.  For some reason he expected her to cry at any moment.

"Listen," he said soft and gently.  "You become what you think.  If you continue to beat yourself up like this you won't end up anywhere good.  Instead of telling yourself that your useless and that you can't land a hit, or that your going to die, replace it with something positive and uplifting.  How about this?"  He made sure she was looking at him in the eyes before continuing.  "You will not die.  Not only do we refuse that with all of our hearts but you do as well.  You can hit them, you just need practice.  So you'll practice and focus on your drive."  He smiled comfortingly.  "And repeat this one after me.  'I'm not useless.  I won't be helpless.  I am strong, courageous, a talented young woman, and I can do it.'  Even if you don't believe it say those words, or something meaningful and encouraging for you every day.  Trust me it really does help."  He hugged Alisa from the side.  "I believe in you."

Alisa smiled at the words they both said. They were encouraging, comforting, and maybe lightly embarrassing to her at the same time? Whatever it was, it cheered her right up. Alisa took what they said to heart. She wasn't fully useless. She was out here training to not be useless in the future. This makes her continue to smile. She listened to the last of Itzal's spill and, once he finished, still smiling happily, would repeat as he told her, "I'm not useless. I won't be helpless. I am strong, courageous, and a talented strong woman, and I can do it."

After stating what he asked her to say, she starts to giggle a bit. She was most definitely uplifted at this. "Thank you both, so much." she states, giving them a lot of gratitude for keeping her out of the dumps. She really was thankful. Normally when she gets in depressed moods like this it takes her forever. But she never really had anyone to pull her out of it before.

Jonathan laughed a second after he heard Itzal say he was a woman. He looked ahead. He was terrible at this. Itzal did not even need him to help teach her. He was terrible with people. He had never been around them. He especially was not good around girls. For some reason, every time he was around one, he never knew what to say. Or do. Jonathan looked around. He really did not like the woods. Espically if there was the evil things called bears in them. "Why don't we move out of the danger of the Forest?" Jonathan looked into Alisa's eyes. They seemed a bit less depressed. Itzal was good. He the looked at Itzal and raised his eyebrows twice, indicating that he had made a move. Jonathan read somewhere something inappropriate that he will not think about.

Itzal heard Jonathan mention moving away from the forest and laughed.

"Aw, is the big tank scared of a bear or two?"  He grinned.  "I'll take a single bear like that one any day over hoards of wolves and wargs tearing me to shreds.  We both have our enemies here I guess."  When Jonathan bobbed his eyebrows up and down itzal didn't get the reference.  He usually didn't with these sorts of things.  He played video games when he wasn't bullied at school, so he didn't get any gestures given by other players.  Either way Alisa was comforted, and seemed more confident.  He believed it would take much more than a bear next time to scare her into that state again.  As the two of them got up and followed Jonathan he leaned in and whispered to her,

"Just so you know, your next assignment will take place while we go camping," he said with a smile and winked while indicating not to say anything.  He felt bad not inviting Jonathan, but he didn't seem to be the sensitive type.  And Alisa needed someone sensitive to help her out.  He saw Jonathan as a recruiter more than a mentor.

Alisa continued to sit there as Itzal and Jonathan had some banterous conversation. She laughed behind her breath as they did so, finding it funny. She had noticed the eyebrow bob but…she didn’t really know what it meant. She just kinda thought it was a inside joke. After a bit they stood up, and Alisa follows them out of the forest, still feeling somewhat tired. Then, Itzal whispers to her. Camping? What? Oh no…please tell me the next part doesn’t involve camping in this accursed forest. She frowned, but, Alisa realized nothing bad was really going to happen with Itzal with her. Smiling, she continued with them, still mulling over what might happen next. All she knows is that she is still far too weak. She could barely stand up to an animal smaller than her. If she has a vision of the frontlines, she needs to…what was the term…powerlevel. Yes, that was it.
