[PP-F1] The dragon's soul <Itzal and Kasier> <<Feeding the enemy>>

Recommended Posts

He listened to Kasier's question and felt stupid for not explaining.  "Kooh was the third player I met in this game.  And," he added, a little color rising to his cheeks.  "did everything she could to embarrass me...  S-Still I think I can manage one quest with her.  And last I checked instruments with a buff cost 2000 col, unless they can be crafted though I doubt it.  I'm collecting col but I don't like using that much for something like that.  I might have to though...  Anyways here it is."  He stopped, literally feeling the presence of the wolves gaze on his back.  They were following them.  He pulled out a glowing crystal and drew Retributor, indicating to Kasier's own weapon.

"Unfortunately you might need that.  I better give you an explanation before we head in so you know what we'll be facing.  Basically through all my time in this floor the wolves had constantly been a pain in my side.  They were the only mobs who got the better of me and they learned quickly how to counter my moves and adapt to my tactics.  Eventually I got tired of it and tracked them down to their den.  I ended up having to fight their leader, a large warg, and in the end killed it.  It was during that fight Velnia died.  Ever since the wolves have left me alone, but I have a bad feeling another warg has spawned and is leading the wolves.  I have no idea what kind of response we'll get but better to be prepared right?"

Kasier smiled. They had indeed arrived in the darkness of the cave and who knows what might be waiting for them within the dark cave. Deep inside, there would be definitely be mobs waiting for players to hunt down and kill, they were programmed this way but whether they possess a threat to Itzal and Kasier was another question. With her healing, she is able to heal thirty percent of Itzal’s total health with her first aid skill right now. Her strength is very low but her healing should be able to keep Itzal alive even when the situation becomes dire. With a sigh, she looked at her menu to make sure that everything was equipped including her armor. With her armor equipped, she should be able to withstand a lot of hits and absorb lots of damage as well.

“Alright, wolves shouldn’t be too much of a problem, I am ready when you are.” She said, clicking on the equip button and watching as her heavy armor magically appeared over her starting cloth armor. With her curved sword by her side, which can be used to inflict serious bleeding as well as paralysis. Indeed, she was well equipped for this fight, which, of course, was not certain. As a player of this video game, one must be ready for any situation. Any danger might strike someone if they are not ready and hence, she was prepared.

“Let’s go then.” She said.

Itzal watched as Kasier mentioned how wolves shouldn't be a problem and Itzal mentally disagreed, recalling all the freaking problems they caused him.  Still he never fought with a healer before and was eager to discover what that would be like.  When she drew her sword he nodded and made his way into the shadows, the crystal lighting some of the way.  Until he managed to get night vision he would have to rely on the crystal's light.  As they progressed he scanned the surrounding area for any crystals he could use.  He spotted a slight glimmer in the wall and turned to see a red crystal.  He pulled it out and placed it in his inventory.

He heard the trickling of water and recognized the sound.  It was the hidden stream inside this cave, fairly close to the place he fought the warg.  What happened last time was they hid the light with their masses and when he was in the center of the room they moved, exposing the room.  They surrounded him and he had to fight the warg without being pushed into the wolves along the edge.  He was alone that time but from that elderly wolf's expression this warg would be too strong for Itzal alone.  It was a good thing Kasier was with him.  She would be able to heal any damage done to him.

"We're getting close to where the warg was, so we better be careful.  If they don't attack us instantly, I should probably try talking to them."  It sounded weird saying that to another player, since they were wolves.  "And there may or may not be a horde of wolves watching, so whatever you do, don't attack until they attack.  If the warg is the only one who attacks leave the others alone."

Kasier nodded. Obviously, Itzal knew what he was doing. He had done this before and hence; he knows exactly what need to be done in order to complete the task. With a sigh, Kasier took a deep breath. The darkness had engulfed her and she was having trouble seeing her own hands that she had placed in front of her. Obviously, Itzal seemed to have perfect vision as he maneuvered within the cave with almost absolute perfection. All Kasier had to do to move through the cave was to follow Itzal and allow him to lead the way so she can follow.

Perhaps this wasn’t due to Itzal’s astonishing vision? He had been here before and maybe that was why he was having so much success. Kasier, on the other hand, was failing to walk upright. She was struggling to stand up straight and stepping on a few pebbles didn’t help with the condition of her foot and the motivation of the continuing on. Still, Kasier wasn’t someone that would give up on anything that she had set out to do so she continued on with her struggles and carried on with the walking. The quest was going to take a while; there was no doubt about it. She just hoped that they would complete the quest before nighttime falls.

Kasier listened as Itzal went over the plans with his short, quiet words and Kasier nodded before realizing that the man was probably unable to see her movements in detail. With a smile, she began to speak as well, “Alright, I never attack first anyway. Let’s get going then.” She finished, looking around to see a green crystal on the wall that she simply grabbed on and pulled, releasing the crystal from the shelter of the hard, cavern wall. If they won’t get this quest completed soon and find Velnia, at least she would be able to find some materials as well. @Itzal

Itzal nodded when he knew Kasier was ready.  He moved silently across the tunnel, the crystal lighting his path.  Soon he saw the walls widen until they turned sharply to the sides.  He stopped.

"We gonna do this again?" he called.  After a moment's hesitation, the bulk of wolves backed away from the clustered light crystals and allowed the light to flood the room.  After a momentary blinding flash, Itzal's thoughts on the situation were confirmed.  He could see a new warg, a larger and stronger one than before.  It's red eyes glared angrily at him and another wolf walked over to the brute and growled.  The Warg turned to the wolf, then looked at Itzal with hatred in it's eyes.  So they told him about me have they?  He knew they'd want him dead but it turns out they hadn't learned their lesson yet.  He took a step forward and all the wolves growled.  He gestured helplessly.

"We all know what's gonna happen, just like last time right?  I kill the warg and you leave me alone?"  But as he looked into the wolves he realized he couldn't be more wrong.  They didn't intend to let him leave alive.  There would be no honor this time.  They intended to kill him regardless of his pleas.  Silence hung in the balance for a moment as he scanned the crowd of monsters.  Then he saw something that made him stop:  The elderly wolf.  It gestured to the left side and he let his eyes scan it.  He saw the wolves nodding.  Doubt entered his mind and he discussed this with Ulises.  What do you think?  Look at the warg.  He looks like a cruel leader don't you think?  What does that have to do with it?  They have no idea they'll respawn.  They think they'll be under this tyrant's rule if you die.  Oh, so they want him dead?  So they'll fight for us?  Ulises grinned.  Oh yes.  We have our own wolf army.  Don't get carried away, the warg has one too.  Yeah.  So let's kill em!  He scanned once more and saw two elite wolves and knew he'd have to take them down as well as the warg while the two sides fought.  He poised for the fight.  And all sides charged.

Kasier’s eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness of the cave and she watched and followed the light that Itzal had created for her in front of her. Soon, she found herself walking smoothly and following the light. Instead of trying to make her way around, she would simply follow and allow the light to lead her to the destination that Itzal was currently leading her to. She knew that soon, they would have to face an obstacle of some sorts, what type of obstacle? She wasn’t aware yet. But soon enough, she would know. She could feel it in her soul. Her mind was telling her that something dangerous was in the front of the cave and soon, she would have to fight whatever she encounters.

Kasier smiled as she realized that the cave was no longer as enclosed as it was. The sides seemed to have split open a bit more. Oxygen seemed more amplified but her smile soon turned into a frown when she realized that she had walked into a pretty well lit room. Here, she was able to see everything even if they weren’t in perfect detail. Indeed, she could make out the outline of every creature here and she could tell from the air that they weren’t exactly friendly.

Soon, Itzal began talking to the wolves and after what seemed a few seconds of conversing, chaos broke out and combat had began. This was the first time that Kasier had been in combat as fierce and crowded as this. Her eyes were filled with confusion as she realized that some wolves had begun fighting other wolves as well. Combat had broken out. It was like a war… It was a civil war with Itzal and her leading the front lines. “Alright, it seems like not having to fight is out of the question. I’ll heal, so be brave and have some fighting experience out there.” She said, smirking as she prepared to heal whenever Itzal faced any injury.

As the two forces of wolves charged the enemy force was shocked by the betrayal of their companions but recovered quickly and fought back.  The two forces collided on both ends of the cavern, blocking each entrance and leaving the warg and his bodyguards with Itzal and Kasier.  The warg hesitated as he saw his forces divide and howled in pure rage.  The bodyguards growled at the two players, eager to kill them for what they had done.  They were mostly focused on Itzal, but they could see this other player was a friend of his.  Any way to harm him was worth it for them.  The warg barred it's teet, it's drool dropping the way angry dogs did.  It's eyes burned with anger.  As Itzal stared into it's eyes Ulises gave him a mental tap.

Let me fight it Itzal.  I feel I haven't had proper revenge for what that thing did to Velnia.  Itzal shook his head.  I don't want Kasier knowing you exist.  Not yet at least.  You tell me what to do and I'll do it though.  Then use my technique.  Have you mastered it yet?  Of course not, but it's good enough for this mindless beast.  Itzal hesitated, then agreed.  Ok then I will.  Itzal took the stance unique to Ulises' technique.  The purpose of this technique was to land an endless series of strikes without giving the opponent time to strike back, unless of course they didn't care about receiving hits.  The wielder would swing the sword, let go directly after the blow while the other arm was gaining momentum, catch and swing with the other arm, while the other arm gained momentum, and so forth.  If successful, the target would be struck at by an endless rain of accurate and precise blows that never ceased.  Unfortunately it was uncomplete so the strikes weren't so precise.

Itzal charged forward and unleashed rage spike, not wanting to use up too much energy of course, but wanting to deal a good amount of damage to the warg while gaining the attention of the other two wolves as well.  The two wolves rounded on him, forgetting about Kasier and focusing on harming Itzal.

Kasier watched as Itzal began to move his hand and strike the target. Indeed, he was able to strike an AoE against the opposition while Kasier was still stood frozen to the ground, unsure of exactly what was going on. All around, there were combat all over the place and she was a bystander, standing and watching as chaos unfolds around her. With her red amber eyes fixed on Itzal’s sword technique, she watched as Itzal unleashed an AoE, dealing small damage to the opposition. The damage was quite minimal indeed and Kasier had expected more damage. With a sigh, she retreated slowly. It was still unsafe for her to strike the mobs yet.

She would wait one more turn and hope that Itzal would be able to obtain more hate before she is able to strike with her own sword. She had wanted to test out her blade that she had obtained from a player killer blacksmith on the first floor, outside of the safe zone and she was still unable to test out her weapon and see exactly how it felt and how it struck. She knew that the sword relied a lot on luck because without a critical, it didn’t do anything but with a critical, it inflicts a bunch of status effects such as paralysis and bleed.

With a sigh, the female player watched as the wolves charged forward and attempted to strike Itzal. Of course, the mobs had missed and hence, she wouldn’t be able to do any healing this turn since Itzal still had nothing to heal. He had perfect, full health and Kasier had no need to replenish any health for Itzal. With a smile, she looked around, observing the chaos as she waited and passed on her turn. She needed not to do anything this turn except to stare and wonder what the outcome of the war would be.

.After his first assault the warg attempted to claw at him but Itzal, using Ulisis' technique, pierced through it's massive claw using vorpal strike, pulling a long loud howl from the beast and denying it an attack at the same time.  He was immediately struck at by the other two wolves but he knocked them both back with a single, long swipe of his sword.  The cloak he was wearing was meant for comfort and wasn't as agile as Niger Natio, but he kept all three opponents at bay by swinging his blade at all of them, seemingly at the and time, when the truth was in fact that he was moving too fast for the mobs eyes to follow.

He could feel Ulises gain pleasure from the strike he pulled on the warg and knew he was eager to do it again.  But he knew better than that.  They needed to be patient and wait for it to expose a weak point so they could land a crit and bleed it to death.

Kasier sighed, indeed, she had been watching the combat and at the moment, it was still technically not safe for her to use her curved sword to perhaps inflict some damage as well as the most important thing, the purpose of the sword. Her curved sword, <<The Kasier’s Venom>> did exactly what it’s name says. The sword’s power is similar to those of venom; it paralyzes people as well as inflicts severe bleed damage. Kasier’s bored eyes scanned around the room once more and it was still unclear who was winning. No matter what side was winning, it was still undeniable that Itzal had yet to take damage so she can just chill around and look out for any surprise attacks.

As she looked around, she saw a red crystal in the ceiling and she was sure that she would be able to reach it with a small jump. The cave is quite collapsed and there wasn’t an extraordinary amount of room. With her legs bent, she prepared to jump before jumping up and attempting to grab it. However, she was unable to grasp the crystal with fierceness and hence, she was unable to claim the material as her own red crystal. With a sigh, she sat down and prepared to heal in case there were any situations that would require her contribution.

If Itzal is able to hit the mobs once more, she will be able to actually attack without being in fear that the mobs will become attracted to her. That was definitely not what she wanted because she did not have as much health as Itzal. Plus, she couldn’t heal herself either. Her red eyes remained fixed on Itzal as he fought with speed, being in one place before hopping to another place in order to attack.

The battle was technically a flash to other viewers eyes.  That was the way all battles were.  Unless it was a siege battles were not as long as movies made them to be, especially duels, unless both combatants were very skilled and powerful and complete equals.  Fights were very fast and quick, and not many had the eye to follow the important strikes and subtle details.  Itzal was one of those few.  He had seen the glance one of the wolves gave to the other.  He had seen them feint their attacks, slowly moving behind him to ambush him.  All of this while keeping the warg from striking back.  On normal conditions he would have planned how to evade them.  This time however, he wasn't.  Kasier was here and he knew she specialized in healing others so there was no need to worry.  He waited and felt the two wolves rake their claws on his back.  Their attacks didn't damage him at such a high level, but they did stagger him a bit and that was all the warg needed to smack him with it's paw and knock him across the battleground.

He almost fell into the swarm of wolves but he didn't.  Instead he calmed his mind.  Breathed in, breathed out.  Ulises did the same.  He found that using this technique could not only renew his energy, but his focus.  He stood up and shot forward faster than the eye could blink, and used vorpal strike a second time.  He would not use another sword art until he knew he could land a critical hit.  As he stabbed through the warg's retreating paw he slashed again at it's back but it moved away just in time.  And so he continued to attack the beast.  Because it's health had dropped to yellow now he had to be careful as it could change tactics at any time.

<<First Aid>> Activated

Kasier knew immediately that it was time for her to heal when she watched as two wolves assaulted Itzal and struck by the warg. The wolves had been so sneaky that she truly didn’t see they coming until they leaped and landed on Itzal. After that, the boss himself charged and struck Itzal right in the chest, forcing him back and Kasier stood up immediately when she thought Itzal had fallen into the pit of wolves. Fortunately, the man had stopped right before he stepped into the pit of doom before striking as well and the wolf made no attempt to evade the attack. His sword struck right at him, dealing damage and although the damage wasn’t severe, it was definitely good enough and able to speed up the battle.

“Alright, time for healing.” With a sigh, she walked over to Itzal who had taken damage before placing her hand on the man’s back. In this game, direct touching was required in order to heal because magic was nonexistent in this game. However, this does restrict the healer and the healing that she can do. If the healer is separated from the person that she is supposed to heal, then she will be unable to do so and hence, this technique might be used by a player killer if they wished to kill a party.

Kasier smiled when she saw that her heal had been successful. It wasn’t every time that she would be able to say this because lots of times, her healing was unsuccessful. If she had that equipment which she ordered from the artisan, then she would have a much more successful healing chance than she had now although currently, she was having a bit of luck on her side. Once more, Kasier retreated in order to avoid any damage on her.

Itzal stiffened when he felt Kasier's hand on his back.  His face flushed red in an instant.  His quick mind figured out that healing other players must require physical contact, but it was still embarrassing for him, despite the battle and conditions, for a girl to touch him on the back like that.  He felt his hp rise and when Kasier let go he let out a silent breath of air and allowed his body to relax.  He wondered if he would ever get over something like this.  Perhaps she could touch his shoulder next time?

Itzal slashed again and again at the monster, moving back and forth, under and over the warg, batting away the wolves that consistently tried to hit him when near them.  The more he evaded and deflected, the more angry the monsters became.  The warg hadn't done anything really but shake violently after it's health passed mid-way point.  Then it howled in rage, it's voice so loud and menacing it shook the cave.  The two sides of wolves paused and twitched with fear before continuing their battle.  The wolves following the warg with more vigor and energy than before, hearing their master becoming close to a berserk mode but not quite was a dangerous scenario and they expected the player to die soon.  The wolves fighting against the warg's army were unsettled at first, but had no doubt in their minds that this player would end it's life.  And they were very grateful he was on their side.

And that was the core of it.  The elder wolf had thought of this first before the others.  A player along side monsters to help them gain control.  It was such a thing that was never heard of before.  The elder wolf hated players in general but he wasn't stupid.  He knew that if they continued to fight this player as well as others they would go extinct.  It was better to be on their side than to die failing.  With that thought in their minds and hearts they pushed back with more force than before, once again making the battle on the edge, able to go either way.

The warg's eyes changed from the usual wolf brown eyes to a fierce orange and snapped it's teeth at Itzal as he passed by.  Although Itzal was able to avoid becoming lunch, he felt the large tooth carve down his back.  Being the critical hit it was Itzal grimaced slightly as he felt the burning sensation but it was brief.  While he recovered his footing the other two wolves struck at him from the sides.  After being hit again he returned his focus on the warg, landing another hit before it began dodging his attacks.

Kasier watched as once more, the male player had been struck immediately after he had just been previously been healed. Indeed, it shouldn’t be that big of a deal. Ever since the healing skills were buffed, she was able to heal players by a lot of percentage and without a doubt; her healing abilities would only grow to be stronger and stronger until she becomes the best healer in Aincrad. She had heard that there was another one currently but she was now working in a more DPS role while killing bosses, dealing damage and not exactly fulfilling the role of a healer.

Soon, without a shadow of a doubt, Kasier would become a well-known player in this game. Someday, even if it takes her a long time to do so, she won’t give up. This was her first test, a first challenge. She had only completed a healing a few times before this and soon, she’ll be able to heal quite consistently. Kasier sighed before walking up to the man who had just taken damage before healing him once more, placing her hands on his back and activating the skill. She felt the black-haired man tense up before relaxing and retreated having completed the healing process.

As Kasier retreated once more, she watched the nearby surrounding as the civil war progressed. Wolves were slaughtering other wolves, their own kin. They swiped with fierceness, clawing on each other with no pity, no kindness, and no emotions. They eyes were filled with darkness, knowing that they would have to kill their kin in order to obtain what was good in their mind. They reminded Kasier of the players of Aincrad, fighting for what they wanted and only what they wanted. Sometimes, this means killing other players. Perhaps the nature of wolves and the nature of humans are not all that different. Humans are more savage than the most savage creatures anyway.

Itzal hacked and slashed at the monster but it managed to avoid each strike.  Like it's predecessor, despite it's huge bulky shape it was extremely fast and intelligent.  The only difference was that this one was much stronger than the first warg he fought.  As he kept striking and avoiding it's attacks Ulises helped him by telling him where to swing in order to knock away the elite wolves attacks.  While he did this the surrounding wolves were beginning to retreat, both sides needing to regain their energy.  The wolves on the right side only thought about revenge for the betrayal they had witnessed and glared in hatred.  The wolves on the left only thought about the peace they could have from not having to worry about being slaughtered by the players, and despite that they had to kill their own kind were willing to do anything to achieve peace, and that is what shone in their eyes.  The break was temporary and in three seconds they rejoined combat.

Itzal could barely focus with all the carnage going on, but Ulises reveled in chaos and could see everything around them clearly.  When the warg tried to smash them with it's huge paw he shouted in Itzal's mind Roll back!  Without hesitation he rolled backwards, the warg's claw barely scratching his shoulder, causing a prick of pain but nothing more.  As he rolled the other two wolves had struck at him, causing minimal damage.  Thanks Ulises.  A mental nod was his response before they charged the warg once again.  Itzal didn't have time to worry about it but Ulises began to wonder what would happen if Kasier discovered that Itzal had a split personality born from rage and tamed by him?  He chuckled at the thought then continued to survey the fight.

Kasier’s eyebrows went to the top of her head when she saw how Itzal had avoided the attack. He had displayed very impressive reflexes as well as speed that Kasier had not thought was humanly possible. It was a very impressive display of his abilities that she had yet to see and she didn’t know whether the dodge was skill, or it was all luck because the man had managed to avoid an attack that Kasier had thought was definitely going to be a critical hit. Kasier had found out a lot about this game lately… She had to since she would be the person observing the battle field during a fight as a healer. She would be behind everyone, observing their statuses and hence she needed a vast knowledge on this game.

She had found out quite a bit of juicy knowledge in this game and from what she learned, that attack would’ve definitely landed on him but he was able to move out of the way with absolutely amazing speed and strength to push him out of the way. In all honesty, Kasier was impressed with the skill that the man had displayed at that time. With a smile, she walked up to the man, hoping that she would be able to heal him and replenish the damage that had been inflicted upon him by the small scratch of the shoulders. It hadn’t been that much contact but it was still quite a bit of damage. It wasn’t a life-threatening amount of damage but she would’ve still liked to heal him.

Unfortunately, though, she was unable to heal the man and hence, his health would stay the same until Kasier would be able to heal once more. With a sigh, she spoke, “My healing failed this time. Hopefully, the next time would be successful.”

Itzal was relieved when she touched his shoulder instead of his back.  It was way less uncomfortable to him.  Despite that he was on the battlefield he was still well aware that he was alone with a girl.  As soon as her hand left he charged the warg again, not hearing her words.  The warg was furious that Itzal had not been severely damaged and swung it's claw repeatedly at him, while Itzal dodged and dodged.  The other two wolves were about to hit him when the warg's claw blocked their path.  They realized quickly that they should probably back away and act as support for now, unawares that they were under Ulises' watchful eye.  Then the warg had it.  It abandoned it's claw attacks and simply leaped after him, snapping it's jaws, swinging it's claws, and even using it's tail, back, every inch of it's body to attack him.

Ulises however was more than ready and called out to Itzal in response to any attack that might have hit, which seemed to be most of them.  As the attacks came in Itzal went on the defense, never raising his sword but dodging according to Ulises' commands.  Right, left, down, up, northwest, northeast, (being up right or up left) forward, backward, and many other, more complicated but understandable commands.  The result was what seemed to be a dance with the wolf involving lots of jumping, rolling, sliding, and lots of twisting.  Itzal heard nothing but Ulises' commands and Ulises didn't bother about the other wolves since the warg didn't give them a chance to fight.

Kasier watched as the Warg, the king of the wolves struck once more, aiming to kill. His claws stuck forwards with fast pace and its eyes were filled with bloodred and hatred. It wanted blood, and it was going to get its satisfaction from killing Itzal. However, the situation was not looking good for the Warg. During this civil war of the wolves, it was obviously that the players and the rebellious side was winning. Lots of wolves had already disappeared into millions and millions of crystals as they get clawed and killed slowly. One claw, and they might be dead. The battle was going quite fast, to Kasier’s surprise. The ways that these wolves struck their opponents were different from the ways that humans fight in this game.

Unlike humans, wolves strike without any protection. They strike but leave their body open. If they land their strike, they are deadly and they aim to kill with their sharp claws as well. However, humans, although they aren’t vicious as wolves, they strike with precision and they think. Their brains were obviously superior to those puny brains inside the head of those wolves. Humans had been called the kings of mammals since the beginning of time and to this date, they still are. Even in this game, even in a virtual prison where all odds are placed against the players, humans are still superior compared to the mobs within this game.

Kasier smirked… The future was looking brighter than ever. She was sure that Itzal would one day be dealing loads of damage to floor bosses and joining the front lines. Eventually, Kasier would do the same. She would heal players who are injured and keep them alive as well as work on her mitigation. Once more, she would try to heal but unfortunately, she had once more failed again.

Itzal continued to strike at the warg over and over again but it had finally caught onto what he was doing.  The warg paused a split second to analyze where he was going to strike next and swung a claw in that exact spot.  Itzal didn't See this coming and, while Ulises gave him a warning which allowed him to avoid a crit, he was Still struck by the warg.  As he was flung back once again the two other wolves scratched him.  He stumbled but got to His feet quickly and dodged the wargs next attack.  He growled and charged again with renewed vigor.

Kasier carried on being a spectator as the vicious claws of the wolves that had attacked him struck Itzal. The Warg struck him, forcing him back as he had some of his health points taken down. With a sigh, she realized that she would have to heal again and hopefully, she would be able to do this successfully. With her face hidden in the darkness, she walked forward, placed her hand on the man’s shoulders before activating the first aid skill. However, as she activated the skill, her small, white ears suddenly heard the sound of glass shattering before a red crystal appeared before her hand and forced her to the ground. She had failed the healing attempt but she had never failed this bad. As she stood up, she looked at her hands. Maybe she wasn’t good enough; maybe she couldn’t be a healer. Perhaps… Perhaps her hand was filled with skill to wield a sword, because her hands reeked of murder.
