Adhaerere 0 Posted August 27, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2016 So, Adhae was out again. She'd never been to any floor except one, two, and three, and put her mind to exploring a little. She wanted to meet some new people, maybe, and fight more difficult mobs. She needed some more materials for her shop, after all. Here she was, on floor six with no company at all. Maybe that wasn't such a good idea, considering she had no combat prowess at all. Her build was geared towards tanking damage anyway, not dealing it. Oh well. Maybe she'd meet some new people on this floor and they could help her out. It would be good for her to collect some new allies anyway. She had Itzal, Kooh, and Verus, but they all were busy and Kooh didn't like fighting. Maybe she could find some more young'uns that she could adopt. As she teleported up to the sixth floor, she didn't know what to expect from it. Every floor seemed different from the last one. Even with this in mind, she was surprised when she opened her eyes and saw... Jungle. Jungle and tents. Stepping off the teleport plate, she gazed in awe around her, violet eyes unblinking; it was like a primitive village, with simple wooden structures and rigged machines that looked like they should belong in a history book. And then there were the people. Adhae could not spot one male among the NPCs that wandered around the sixth floor. Every woman was exceedingly tall, exceedingly broad-shouldered, and exceedingly... gruff. They all looked like they could take a regular person down with one hand. A word to fit them popped into her mind as she kept staring: Amazons. This was actually the Amazon. "Wow."
Ratatosk 0 Posted August 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 28, 2016 The wind blowing on his face gave him a sense of nostalgia, how long had it been since he actually got off his ass and went out exploring? "Yeah, it's certainly been a while..." He exited the inn located somewhere in the Town of Beginnings and walked towards the teleportation pad. "Haven't seen you for some time good old pal, it's time I start using you again. Teleport, Amazon!" One voice command was all it took to travel five floors up, if only this technology could be used in the real world, if it could be used for the better. The heavily vegetated area around him made the boy remember all his adventures on the floor. "This was when I met the other me, the Gemini and... [censored], what was his name again? I think it was Ventus." Ratatosk's memory was going bad, almost like an old man, but he stall had it in him. "I wonder what adventures are in store for me today, 'bout time I start fighting again." The blonde placed his sword on his back and scouted the area around him with his eyes, he spotted a player (Adhaerere) and observed closely.
Adhaerere 0 Posted August 29, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted August 29, 2016 (edited) OOC - My apologies on the delay. Busy weekend. Taking a few more steps away from the teleport plate, Adhae looked around in awe. These people were huge, honestly. She was a tall person herself, standing at six feet four inches. Even with that considerable height she couldn't see the tops of the Amazonian's heads. After a few seconds she realized she was staring and quickly shook herself, turning away from the NPCs. It was then that she noticed the new player who'd teleported into the same floor. He looked very different to the rest of the people there, due to the fact that he was male. And he was a lot shorter and younger looking than the rest. In fact, he looked like nothing more than a teenager. "Hmm." Adhae didn't know if she wanted to approach him or not. She usually was the kind of person to go up to strangers like this, but she was feeling a little cautious in this new floor. But maybe she should go talk to him. He looked well equipped, and maybe he could help her find her way around to other settlements. After letting the mental debate continue for a few moments, she realized she was staring yet again and jerked out of her stupor. Finally, she decided to go up to him. It was only a few paces to bring her into speaking distance of the boy. Her battleaxe, slung over her back, clinked quietly against her chestplate as she walked. "Excuse me, hi there. My name is Adhae. Do you know your way around Floor 6? I've never gone up this far, and I wanted to know if there's anywhere I should avoid, or anything like that. I'm only a level five. My equipment is decent," she brushed her hand along her white plated armour to show she was speaking about it, "and Luster keeps me from getting killed easily. But alone, I don't have any way to deal with creatures that might surprise attack me." She smiled, trying to let the kid know that she meant no harm to him even with her barrage of words. She pushed some amber hair away from her eyes, and shifted on her feet, keeping her smiling eyes on the boy's. "I'm trying to build my skills to become a tank, so I need others around me to help me level. I figure I can help em out too. And you look like someone who could either use some help or give a low leveled player like me a tour around!" She smiled wide and closed her eyes, tilting her head to the side happily. Ratatosk 0 Posted August 30, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 30, 2016 OOC - Same here, going to school gives me less time to post because of homework and all of that Ratatosk looked up and saw the giant in front of him, then one of his primal instincts kicked in. "Agghh!! Girl!" He turned around with a look of fear in his eyes, how could he forget he was afraid of girls? Wait, girls, so that's why he didn't like to go to this floor. The blonde was mumbling inaudibly to himself until he took a deep breath and faced his fears. "S-Sorry, I'm a-afraid of girls..." His legs were partially shaking from fear but he mustered up the courage to respond to most of her questions. "U-Uhh... On this floor there are b-big centipedes, big snakes, and big everything! I-I'm okay with giving you a tour of the place, j-just don't fight any spiders." The blonde opened up his HUD to show her his stats. On the screen you could see that he was a fresh level twenty five, but still not frontliner material. Stats: Level: 25 HP: 100 Energy: 25 Eva: 2 Acc: 3 DMG: 12 Mit:
Adhaerere 0 Posted August 31, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted August 31, 2016 She jumped a little at his first comment, surprised by the ferocity of it. She looked around. Was he scared of her..? Adhae was not an intimidating person. If anything, she was a friendly motherly type. At the age of 28, she looked like a mom and felt like a mom. Though she didn't act much like one. And she didn't have any children. She giggled as he continued. "Big everything huh? Certainly looks like it around here," she said as she gestured around to the giant women around them, smiling at the boy. "Yeah, why don't you show me around? I don't plant on fighting any big bugs. Those're gross. Though with that impressive of a level, I'm sure you could kill anything without much of a mess." She winked at him and then turned to walk off, expecting the boy to follow. She was acting just as flamboyant as she usually did, expecting people to listen to what she told them to do and do it quickly. Adhae didn't dillydally. She was an impatient person. There had been too much sitting around recently. Some action was due! But she planned to go by her word and not fight any bugs. Not knowing how they would die, it was in her best interest to avoid getting bug juice all over her clean white armour and clothes.
Ratatosk 0 Posted August 31, 2016 #6 Share Posted August 31, 2016 He nodded and forced a smile, was this woman an amazoness? "R-Right... Let's get to it." Ratatosk followed the leader like an elementary school student, Adhaerere reminded him of one of his friend's mothers, damn was he a lucky bastard. While his friend grew up with a loving family, he had the remnants of one. A son and his troubled father, but they were always troubled and that fact wouldn't change. "My memory tells me that on this floor there is a quest called 'The Gemini', it gives you a really good skill that helps you in battle. There's two different versions of it though, I got lucky and got the improved one." Again, he opened up his HUD and showed her the <<Disguise>> skill, "Most people get the Concentration skill from 'The Gemini', it is the same as Disguise but doesn't lower your opponent's evasion and has a shorter cooldown." Adhaerere 0 Posted August 31, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted August 31, 2016 (edited) She laughed just a little at his stuttering, and was glad it stopped as he kept talking. "'The Gemini'? What does the quest entail?" She peered at his skills, trying to look at as many as she could. "Hmm, that's interesting. Seems like it would be useful. You're lucky, huh? What level were you at when you did the quest? I'm trying to level up as quickly as I can by doing lots of quests. They're fun to do with friends." She turned to flash a smile at him, and slowed down as she realized he was just following. "C'mon, you're supposed to be leading here. Walk in front of me, not behind me," she gently scolded as she gestured with her hands to usher him forwards. He was an interesting character. He seemed to be shy. That wasn't something Adhae could help right away, but she figured she could work on him to get him more comfortable with her. At least for the time they would be wandering around this floor. "What's your name by the way? My username is Adhaerere," she pronounced it "Add-hay-rare", "but you can call me Adhae. Much less of a mouthful." Ratatosk 0 Posted August 31, 2016 #8 Share Posted August 31, 2016 "It's best to do the quest when you're at a low level, and make sure you have s-some armor that will protect you really well from the gemini. When I did it I was around level ten, all it t-takes is a good weapon and taking a few hits." Ratatosk then realized his own stuttering, that's weird, Ventus should be the one doing that not him. So it really did happen, the two of them started to become more like each other, and eventually they'd be a single entity in the same body. "O-Oh yeah, sorry! My name is Ratatosk, nice to meet you Adhae." The blonde skittishly walked in front wondering why he was so much like the other him. When she asked him if he was lucky, he paused for a moment thinking of his past experiences. He spoke in a much more confident tone now, "Well, if you consider being stabbed nearly to death lucky then yes, I am."
Adhaerere 0 Posted September 2, 2016 Author #9 Share Posted September 2, 2016 Adhae nodded along as he spoke about the quest, seeing as it would be pretty simple. "My armour could take care of that. I'm planning on getting a Thorns helmet as well. That could be useful." She smiled at him. "Nice to meet you too." She laughed at his last comment. "That is pretty lucky. In my humble opinion. C'mon, lead away. Take me somewhere. Anywhere." She tried keeping up with him as he walked, but she wanted to know where their destination was. Though she trusted him sorta, she still thought it in her best interests to be cautious about her new friend. He seemed relatively harmless, but she'd seen some young people who could do a lot of damage with their weapons. She actually had no idea if players could harm other players. Probably not, that would ruin the fun of the game. The GM wanted them to get out of it, right? That made sense. She stood up a little straighter, feeling confident with the stranger now. He couldn't hurt her, and she liked making friends. So she'd go wherever he led and see whatever he wanted her to see.
