Lizard Grunt: HP 5/14

Getting up to my feet, I swing my sword wildly towards the lizard as he blocks every attack, steadily becoming a little slower due to the mortal wound at its chest. It even blocks my heavy attacks, struggling to stand up as it grunts inhumanely.

I fear that he will unleash a 'final attack' if this game of ping pong keeps up, so after the last swing, I slide the blade forward towards his neck, gritting my teeth. Seriously, just die already so I can mine in peace.

The lizard uses its teeth to grasp my incoming blade at the area among its neck and shoves it away, attempting to hit the side of my body with both axes. Sensing this right after my blade is being pushed away, I make a high jump so it would miss its fatal attack, and land a few inches away from him while glaring at its reptilian eyes that is full of hatred.

The lizard bangs its axes together at a louder volume as it suddenly does a tornado spin and advances towards me at a fast rate. This is bad, he is now becoming full Crash Bandicoot and getting hit by one of the spinning axes will cost my head..or even my flesh if I get hit somewhere else.

Ducking won't be good either, because his feet would serve to knock my head like a tough brick. Tch...what now...what now really..

I decide to just stay away from him for now, so I run as fast as possible since he is picking up his pace while 'tornadoing' at the same time. I jump from rock to rock to get extra distance from the barbarian, but he is getting faster without any logical explanation. I attempt to strike him with my sword at least once, but this only cause his axes to deflect my sword away.

This is simply bulls**t, getting threatened by a spinning reptile. I end up reaching a dead end as I run into a couple of giant rocks blocking my path, he is closing in behind me. I turn around and try to think of what to do as the lizard can be heard laughing.

It's no use of planning my next attack, as its axes finally hits my blocking sword, then my corroding breastplate. I receive several, painful cuts from the strikes of the spinning axes until they almost reach my heart, before coming to a complete stop. The lizard huffs and puffs as it catches its breaths, exhausted from his tornado move. Meanwhile, I drop my knees to the ground as I am bleeding at the chest, putting my hand onto the torn breastplate.

The lizard composes itself as it approaches me, grinning at the fact that he finally injures me brutally. It places one of his axe's blade onto my neck like an executioner, before starting to speak in the same manner as his boss did.

"Any last words, human filth?"

"...no..."

Much to his surprise, I grab his arm and a brawl ensues. Pushing him against the rock, I tempt to bite off a chunk of his arm's flesh, but it doesn't happen since we are clashing with our weapons yet again. He uses both of his axes more often than before, but to his dismay, I manage to deflect all of his attacks. After a few minutes of fighting, he roars in anger as he knocks me in the head with his axe's pommel, causing me to be slightly dazed.

"Die, you scum!" He shouts as he brings his axe towards my head, not knowing that I have already see his upcoming strike.

I let out a menacing grin as I block his strike with the blade of my sword, it is almost cracking and the condition is getting duller. This fight either ends now or I will be completely useless later.

Noticeably, the axe that he uses to strike me cracks a little, much to his surprise. He withdraws it quickly and stares at his deteriorating weapon, muttering: "This is bad...I still want to finish him with both of my axes...I..huh?"

"AAARGH!!!" I scream like a cougar as I sprint towards his body, sword pointing at his abdomen.

My starter weapon is driven through his stomach, followed by a slow, brutal cut across his body as his guts begin to spill out. The lizard grunts weakly as he brings his other axe down to the back of my breastplate.

I stab his abdomen several more times as I stand up despite his intact axe still onto my armor, I snarl in anger as I have the feeling to gouge his eyes out and remove his head. The lizard also snarls, although at a lesser volume as he attempts to push me away with his hands.

"no..." I muttered. "You are dead to me...reaaaargh!!!!"

I drop my sword and use my thumbs to severe both of his eyes, in addition to biting his face like a hound as he screams in great pain. His empty sockets are filled with blood as my thumbs dig around the contents. I proceed to use my hands to separate his jaws, his sharp teeth is the only problem for this next step of violence.

"Shut up.." I said sternly as he doesn't stop screaming, now dropping his axes and flailing his arms around.

Rrgh..so hard to pull...rrgh...harder....harder!

In desperation to stay alive, the lizard clamp his jaws together, practically breaking my fingers due to the strong force implemented by the powerful jaws. Becoming more determined to end this creature, I put more effort in pulling apart his jaws as blood starts to form at the sides of his mouth, his screaming becomes raspier and louder.

My anger escalates as I think of how this supposed calm day has turned into a s**tshow so far. I found no ore among these f**king rocks, and I almost get killed by two reptiles. I shut my eyes tight as my hands becomes more forceful at pulling his jaws apart, followed by his gagging and more arm flailing.

Obtained 1 Material from loot.

Materials: 2/5

I do not know how long it takes to rip his jaws apart, but I know that it makes a sickening stretching sound as his jaws are ripped open, immediately bringing him demise. He looks very f**king terrible due to the numerous brutal injuries I delivered to his body. He drops dead and the game instantly tells me that I receive one ore, but no loot at all.

Panting heavily, I walk to the back of the rocks and lean against them while sitting, staring at the incoming night sky. My armor is almost broken beyond repair, and so does my sword since I was being reckless throughout the fight. I think of the Starting City, and my favorite bar. I am afraid that the dream of opening a blacksmith shop is diminishing due to my rapid loss of hope, a single tear roll down across my cheek for no reason.

Aincrad is a paradise for me, but at the same time, it gives me hell. This is practically similar to Earth, but I can't tell which is worse...the latter or the former..

Hh...hhh...so tired...

Treasure Chest Found! Will you open it?

Somehow I turn my head to my right side, and guess what I found...

..a goddamn jackpot...I thought my eyes are just playing tricks on me due to my exhaustion. But the wider I open my eyes, the clearer the wooden object becomes to my vision. I scramble towards the wooden box and gently caress its texture, it is such an experience to lay my eyes on a genuine treasure chest for the first time. My fingers are already touching the chest everywhere in an effort to open it, but immediately a doubt comes to my mind.

What if this chest is a trap? Even worse, what if it is a mimic, waiting to strike at the first chance it will get? I bite my lower lip at the thought of this dilemma, and for a minute I am not sure on how to proceed.

Eventually, I manage to brush off the possibility of this chest being a booby trap or a mimic, so I cautiously open the chest...peeking at its contents..

Obtained 75 COL and two Materials

Materials: 4/5

Much to my relief, the chest contains nothing more than several amounts of Col and two more steel ores. Happily, I collect the rewards and the dream of becoming a blacksmith reignites back to life once more. I lean my head against the chest, staring at the full moon with glee. Seeing a full moon always make me happy, the brightness is soothing to watch, and its glow is very radiating and beautiful.

Though I acknowledge myself that I am tired, I do my best to resist myself from shutting my eyes for too long. I hold my pickaxe as I look at the rocks that can be seen in the night, thanks to the glowing rays of Aincrad's glorious moon.

Sometimes, I wonder what the players have in mind when they first realized that they will be stuck in Aincrad forever. Do they wish to get to the front lines at a rapid place? Do they choose to start a new life here? Do they even choose to cross the moral boundaries and start doing whatever satisfies their fill or fetishes?

..moral boundaries, that is something I never ponder in a good amount of time. Aincrad is a lawless world, and it is up to the players to become the governments themselves, mainly through guilds or something similar. Apart from the safe zones and the 'pacifists' aka the good guys and girls, nothing can stop them from stealing, pillaging, killing, raping (the word cause me to tremble in anger for a split second, for I have deep hatred towards such action)...

There are times when I have a feeling that some players may end up in a 'Lord Of The Flies' situation. To put it simple, they become, say, savages. And they would resort to their own superstition to make decisions or judge people. Civilization will no longer be recognized by these tribes, and they will gradually descend into madness.

"...that is just my thought...no need to take it seriously", I said to myself.

I decide to walk around and mine a few more rocks before going home. So I stand up and holding my pickaxe, I begin my search for the last ore of my profession quest.

I choose a random rock and start mining, the pickaxe is still intact as it easily breaks down the rock to pieces. As expected, there aren't any ores in the broken rock. I simply move on, and while I am mining here, I think I have the heart to talk about my bisexuality. I know it sounds controversial even in Aincrad, but, as I said before, it is a lawless world, so do mind your own business if you are not a fan of such things. I promise the explanation won't be explicit.

I discovered my current sexuality around two years before SAO's official release. However, there is a little twist for me when it comes to males...

...somehow I prefer traps over normal males..hm..

There was a time where I was attracted to a feminine male at a sakura park I frequently go. Fairly long hair, smooth skin, a fit, girly body. He was basically my first, true crush even though he was still, by nature, a boy. Even though he wore normal clothes at the park, he would sometimes wear a kimono with beautiful flower patterns. I knew in my heart that, I did not want to look like a faggot creeper. So once I saw him again at the park over a week later, I walk up to him and offer him the remaining butter cookies I have in my home.

He eagerly said yes and receives his gift. Since then, we became friends and often share our lifestyles and private matters amongst ourselves. We did not care about who we are in each other's perspective. All that mattered was that our friendship remained stable.

One night, I was in his house to celebrate his birthday. We never had a party for we didn't have the mood to throw one. I brought his favorite cake and some candles, and for the first few minutes of our celebration, he really enjoyed his cake and company. He later talked about shrines, daruma dolls, and other things that would fall into the same category as the two previously mentioned topics. He was a little too talkative and...well he broke down suddenly.

I remember trying to console him as best as I could, and during our hug, hmph....he felt warm and comfortable, with his breathing and his touch excites my inner self.

He suddenly asks me if I had a mate, which I replied: "No I never had one in my life."

Acknowledging the reply, he proceeded to give me what is possibly one of the sweetest and warmest kisses of my life. Butterflies burst out of my stomach like alien fetuses, and I nervously, but happily, accepted his kiss.

...and yes..we did make love..which became a common occurrence in our relationship. It was never shameful to explore his body, especially his cute navel, since he doesn't mind what I did to him.

At this point I often think of my bisexuality, and sometimes I even wonder why I could just pick beautiful women, but in the end, I always come back for my beloved trap. Now, I am no misogynist, and I am naturally attracted to females like a normal male. But I always think that feminine males are more attractive than any other women, and they have better personalities too. It probably sounds somehow biased, but for the time being, this is likely a true answer to my bisexuality.

Back to my story, my relationship with the boy went on for another year until three weeks before I started my new life in Aincrad. He called me to my house, and told me that he wished to move out to somewhere far in Japan, he felt that he wanted to live in solitude. I remember sobbing and begging him to stay, to let me follow his footsteps. Even though he consoled me several times, and at one point, made love to me, he kept his word. I never knew the exact reason, but I think he said something along the lines of finding serenity among nature as he used to do so as a kid.

Long story short, I terribly missed him and nowadays, I wonder if he is here in Aincrad somewhere, although I have my own doubts about his existence here. Actively finding a feminine looking male would be of poor taste, it feels like searching for prostitutes. I hate that since it is really degrading to my eyes and ears.

I will still be a lone wolf in Aincrad, it is natural for me. And I still haven't found any steel ores. this could take forever..

I am practically exhausting so many resources in this area, but I still haven't give up. There is one more part of the area that is full of odd looking rocks with some 'spots' or 'flakes' on their surfaces. I walk towards them and have a closer look at their shapes. All bear the same color and texture, but each has its own 'form.'

One of them resembles a rudder, and another resembles an Eastern sword. There is also a line of rocks shaped like dining utensils including a spoon, a fork and a butter knife.

There is a particular, odd rock that greatly shapes like a perfectly-coned volcano. I break down the first half with my pickaxe, hoping to find at least one ore.

I honestly expected some form of obsidian or lava-like substances to come out from the volcano's half, but in the end there is nothing within it. I move on to the second half.

To be honest, mining is something that I am not very proud of when it comes to gathering materials. Not only it is tedious and tend to get boring, but there is only a small chance that you would get the desired material for your crafts. Unless you are an expert in identifying ores or any rocks that likely contain ores, you will be exhausted and even if you found one, it is just the tip of the iceberg.

The second half is almost breaking down to a pile of debris as a few minutes have passed since I started mining this 'volcano.'
