When there was merely a single boar left fighting Alex, a glowing green shape flew out from behind a tree and skewered it. SQUEE! cried the boar, bursting into a thousand crystalline shards as the throwing dagger lost its emerald glow. Emerging from behind the cedar tree he'd been concealing himself behind, Kane walked slowly over to where the boar had been, and retrieved his <> throwing dagger.

Returning the dagger to the knife belt on his right leg, Kane nodded towards Alex, throwing back the hood on the pale olive cloak he'd been using to blend into the forest. "Well met, Alex. You said you wanted some practice in combat training? This is as good a place as any." He opened the <> function on his menu, sending the request to Alex. "We'll duel until you're confident with a blade." Kane didn't remove the massive Two-Handed blade from his back, instead opting to draw one of his throwing daggers. Holding it like a rapier, he pointed it at Alex, waiting for him to accept the duel.

Kane shook his head. "The duel system will allow us to fight without holding back, and it will restore our health when we drop to yellow." Raising his dagger, Kane motioned to Alex. "Now, use a sword skill. I'll teach you how to counter your opponents' skills with quick thinking."

Kane watched closely as Alex started the duel by charging at him with an unarmed skill. Martial Arts? He's gotten that skill already. If they were going to use Martial Arts, so be it. Kane sheathed his dagger, and raised a hand. CLANG went Alex's strike, blocked by Kane's gauntlet. "When you're fighting, don't allow your opponent to dictate the flow of combat. Act, don't react." Kane was over a full foot taller than the boy, and used his height advantage to attempt to grab Alex's arm and toss him in a Judo throw.

Kane drew one of his throwing knives as Alex charged him wildly. "Always be in control of your attacks, don't let emotion cloud your reason." Blocking one of the strikes, Kane let the other one bounce off of his breastplate, leaving him room to come in for a stab with his dagger.

Rolling from his position on the ground, Kane put away his dagger, and drew his massive great sword, the <>. "If it's a brawl you want, very well." Charging his blade with emerald light, Kane dashed forward, attempting to bull rush Alex and knock him down with the immense weapon.

Kane's blade rose to parry the technique, but one of the strikes slipped through and Kane was forced to deflect with a gauntlet, slightly throwing him off balance. Somersaulting backwards, Kane activated his <> technique, arcing his blade up towards Alex's chin. "You're getting better!"

With a wave of his hand into his inventory system, Kane cancelled the duel. "We've got company, Alex. Let's take 'em out!" There were fifteen boars, all nasty looking, squinty eyed beasties. One boar alone was easy prey, but this many was a bit of a nuisance, and if a player wasn't careful, he could get seriously injured by this type of a mob.

Whirling his immense blade with both hands, the luminescent metal began to glow a vibrant blue, signifying the Sword Skill that Kane was about to use. Dashing forward using the skill <>, Kane sliced clean through two of the beasts, their forms bursting into crystalline shards as they squealed. The others surrounded Kane and Alex, grunting angrily.
