Domarus 0 Posted October 24, 2016 Author #21 Share Posted October 24, 2016 (edited) Foregoing Action The man was forced to defend himself under Domarus' rain of blows but as he switched to the defensive side, he seemed more focused, forced to be since his life was on the line. Thus Domarus would be wasting energy trying to get past it. So instead of trying to force his way through, Domarus made it seem like he was losing energy, slowing his attacks little by little. As he did so he knew the man would strike back, then continue his reckless assault. Perhaps not at first since he would be suspicious, but if Domarus faked stumbles and falling back, the man might be fooled into pushing forward. No, he would be fooled into doing it. Not only was he not in his right state of mind but Domarus was an expert at fooling others. The man desperately parried all of the huge red haired man's attacks away from himself, trying to avoid getting struck again by the deadly weapon, but as he parried and as he retreated, it seemed the man was slowing down. Was he going easy on him? Holding back? Saving his strength? No. As he watched he saw Domarus trying to put more effort in but failing. The man grinned. The three monsters before hand must have sapped at his energy. With that the man pushed forward, hoping to break through his opponent's defenses. Domarus 0 Posted November 1, 2016 Author #22 Share Posted November 1, 2016 (edited) Domarus inwardly grinned as he saw the man take the bait. As the man continued to push forward he showed more and more signs of reckless behavior. When the man inevitably broke past Domarus' intended poor defenses, he'd retaliate with a powerful strike of his own, cutting the man's health down to a minimum. At that point it would be all too easy for Domarus to finish off the pathetic fool, take the child to the npc family, and get his experience reward. Hopefully this man would give him some decent loot as well. Hopefully. As the band continued to press his advantage he finally broke through and stabbed Domarus in the shoulder. The second he did Domarus grinned and released the whirlwind sword art, striking the man hard and sending him flying back. When he did the sword was left in Domarus' shoulder. He walked over slowly to the man, slowly pulling the blade out of his own arm and threw it at the man, letting the blade land at his knees. "Get up. This is almost over and I don't really care much for killing a defenseless opponent." The man looked up at Domarus with horror. "I thought you said you'd let me live!" Domarus cocked an eyebrow. "Were you intending to let me live?" The man stared in disbelief before roaring with rage and grabbed his weapon, charging at Domarus once again. Domarus 0 Posted November 1, 2016 Author #23 Share Posted November 1, 2016 (edited) foregoing action When the npc roared with utter rage Domarus didn't worry. Even as the non living entity lashed it's weapon out at blinding speed and created a single mark on Domarus he didn't worry. Three damage? No biggie at all. His face continued to appear bored. He didn't care if he got loot from this guy anymore. All that mattered right now was getting the experience. As the Npc continued to strike, his efforts becoming more strong and ferocious with each swing. Domarus made a huge strike from the side but the figure dodged it just barely. The npc tried to strike Domarus a second time but Domarus blocked with his huge battle ax. He pushed the npc away from him and began swinging it multiple times with blinding speed, attempting to make a strike on the npc but nothing was working. So he reverted to defense for now. As the figure continued to lash out at Domarus he'd simply wait for the right time to strike. Keres knew the battle was drawing to a close. She felt the girl cuddle with her despite being terrified of her. In fact, she was wondering who she was more terrified of at this point. Domarus 0 Posted November 10, 2016 Author #24 Share Posted November 10, 2016 (edited) Domarus watched as the figure raised his arms too high for a too powerful blow and therefore created an opening. Domarus swung his weapon with enough force to make a very clean cut through the npc, slicing his body in half before he shattered into pieces. As the man's sword fell onto the ground Domarus sheathed his weapon. He heard a whimper and turned to see the young female npc in the somewhat comforting arms of Keres, who smiled proudly to Domarus. Domarus nodded. "Let's get her back and finish this quest shall we?" Keres grinned and nodded, picking up the girl and holding her, the girl curling up from both fear and fatigue. Domarus cared not that an npc feared him. It was an npc. It had no real feelings. With that the two made their way back to the npc's homestead, ready to finish the quest and gain the experience from it.
