Zero 0 Posted December 14, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 14, 2013 «Zero» The Rogue Shadow Profile » Username: Zero » Real name: Prometheus Jericho » Age: (Beginning) 17 (Current) 19 » Gender: Male » Height: 5'10" » About: - History: Born the second child to a Japanese-American computer engineering professor for a mother and an English-German sculptor and software programmer for a father, who had bought share's in various technology and game based companies, Zero's life was to be one filled with many luxuries and enjoyments. This life however was short lived, his parents perishing and his body becoming paralyzed from the waist below after an unfortunate car accident, Zero's future spiraled downward as he became engulfed by a sense of self-loath and guilt of being a burden to his older sister. He surrounded himself with the monitors, consoles, and other systems he'd been gifted and belonged to his parents trying to hide his inability to walk by doing most activities virtually. Several years after his accident Zero's world revolved around games, from single player first person shooters to MMORPG's, eliminating what little contact he held with the outside world. His sister attempted to help him move out into the world only to fail repeatedly, he couldn't cope with others, specially since most did not want to slow their pace to match his, leaving him more in the dark than before. It wasn't until some time later that his sister mentioned her business with a company developing a new way of playing games that he began to open up, it was very little but it was progress, and learned about the Nerve Gear. His sister promised him one as a present and that she herself was getting one so they could spend time together doing what he loved. - Personality: Zero's personality has changed over the course of time, though somethings remain the same. He is still somewhat quiet and attentive to certain things. His anti-social tendencies have become less, though he often still goes solo he does not mind joining up with some. He still observes battles and/or enemies before going in. He's now driven and determined to accomplish his goals, and still tries to maintain a cool headed approach on things, trying to remain calm even in the most desperate of situations. He's rational towards most things, no longer worrying about losing himself, and considerate of those who follow him. He will rarely share too much about himself, specially regarding the real world, afraid he might give away information that make him seem weak, such as his paralysis in the real world. Appearance: Normal: Under Cross Syndrome: » Virtues: - Analytic: Zero always makes sure to review what is in his enviroments, whether it is people, animals or objects. He makes sure to be aware of what is occuring around him and maintains himself informed of any changes, whather big or small. - Proper: He holds a high regard for etiquette and courtesy when he is calm. If he adresses someone, it will usually be in a respectful manner even if he is treated rudely. On some occasions he may even use terms such as 'madam' or 'milady', he was told this is due to him being born a few centuries too late. - Loyal: To those who manage to become close to Zero, he will be considerate. He holds them above himself, though not above his goals, and will attempt to help them if they deserve it, so much so that he will purposely endanger himself for their sake. He does this due to his firm believe in showing loyalty to earn loyalty. » Flaws: - Self-loathing: Though he holds the values of others highly, Zero lacks any care fo self-worth. A self-inflicted hatred that does not cease burns within him and on many occassions drives him to lower himself in front of others. - Shy: He can be withdrawn or shy on occassions, specially with the opposite gender. If he has a thought that occurs to him, he'll most likely keep it to himself feeling it is not his place to speak his mind out. - Disturbed: Zero developed a volatile and violent personality in the back of his mind. The product of his misfortunes his disturbed side is a destructive force that will do as it wishes. He nicknamed it Jäger and can hear its thoughts pierce his mind every once in a while. Story Thus Far » Zero has adapted to his life in SAO, quickly finding himself among the frontliners and in the guild of a player he befriended, Shark. After spending some time trekking through SAO on his own mostly, even though he remained with Shark's Knight of Christ guild, he decided to retire from the frontlines. He spent some time going from floor to floor, doing as he pleased until he encountered Santouryuu the NPC and defeated him, earning Zero the Unique Skill Darkness Blade. Not long after Zero encountered the entity known as Vile, who beat Zero close to death and tossed him aside once he was done. After this encounter the fractures in Zero's mind from his childhood reappeared and were ready to break him apart. Though it had been held together by the likes of Sinon and others, and he had returned to the frontlines in an attempt to get back to his former self Zero found the adjustment difficult. He soon left the frontlines, developed a friendship with a frontliner called Mari, and returned to his routine of self-indulgence. After certain events transpired and the feelings of Zero's heart were denied he became broken, but this time it was more extensive and had thrown him into a void of darkness. He is now roaming Aincrad as a threat to any who step in the way of his path, possibly even those few he cares for. Encountering new individuals as time passed, Zero's path began to shape into a new direction centered around an idea. An idea called power. Link to post Share on other sites
