Description:

Floor 18, the docks of the <<Eriwald>> setlement, near a wide lake named 'Rovia'; this is the 'stage' for a small NPC girl that stands high above others, on top of a couple of stacked boxes announcing a new event. Only those fortunate enough to be there could hear the information she's shouting from the top of her lungs. So far she spoke of a two-headed water beast that eats away all sea life that has the misfortune of crossing paths with it, and by doing so it leaves the local fishermen without work. She wants to defeat it but realizes that its a futile task to even dream of accomplishing it alone, so she pleads all those who are brave enough to aid her! Some may ask: how can they fight with full force against an aquatic beast? Her answer is simple:
"Build yourself a ship!"

Then, as she speaks of an old shipwright known as the best ship builder on the floor, the man in question makes his way besides the girl. The man with a «NPC» tag under his HP bar also had the name "Romolo" attributed to him.
"Listen to me, you land dwellers! For me to build ya a ship you will need the following basic items!" he raises two of his right hand fingers consecutively "Wood and animal fat!" he declared in a grave tone.

A window appears in front of every player present, with the written information of what the old man needed, at minimum, to build a ship/boat and where players could find it. The golden question mark that was above his head lost its brightness and became a faded white, that is until players had the minimum number of materials.

 

Requirements:

• Deliver, at least, the minimum amount of items needed for him to build your group a ship, there isn't a maximum cap. You can gather them throughout separate threads but you need to give them to Romolo when presenting to him a completed 'ship order' before the event ends and the thread closes.
• The gathering threads have no post count requirement but posts still need to abide to the minimum word count requirement.
• Players then need to register their groups beforehand if they choose to participate in this event.
• No edits allowed in the registration post after 24h from posting!
  Not respecting this rule results in denying the group from potential event rewards.
• Players can be a member of one single group.
• The following quest items can drop in any thread during the 1 month event time limit.
  The official thread is for group registration and it will remain open until the time limit is reached. Those who don't register will not be able to participate in the second part of the event.

 

Quest Item Gathering:

There are two clases of items that need to be gathered: 'Wood' and 'Animal fat.
Quest items cannot be traded with people outside the registered group unless otherwise specified. (more info. in the 'Ship Order Template' section)
Crafting materials, Col and/or regular items are dropped normally alongside the quest items.

• 'Wood' can only be gathered by using the following variation of the non-combat material gathering table. 
  This table applies only to this specific quest items for the duration of the event.
  Loot Die increasing skills/mods (used for normal gathering) and items affect these numbers.

¹ Players find by default , 1 'Bundle of «(Insert Tier)» Wood'. The 'Gatherer' mod adds only 1 additional Bundle of the same tier. Similar mods and enhancements work in the same way.
Romolo will not accept mixed 'Wood' tiers. Your party needs to bring him 'X' amount of items, all from the same tier. Unless otherwise required.

• 'Animal fat' can be gathered only by slaying mobs.
  The following table shows the different tiers and how to get them.
  It applies only to the specific quest items for the duration of the event.

¹ All the ship designs have an extra seat that is the driver's seat; for example: When ordering a 2-seater ship; a party of 3 players can board the ship, one of then MUST be acting as the Captain.

² You can only bring Romolo one sort of tier per item, the different coloring shows the minimum required materials for each tier apart; for example: a 2 seater can be made either with minimum (12* «Normal» Wood + 8*«Rare» Animal fat) or (4*«Premium» Wood + 6*«Noble» Animal fat) or..., etc.

³ These numbers represent the skeleton minimum needed to build a ship, there is no maximum material cap for any of the different ship dimensions.  

Warning!

• Delivering the minimum amount of materials doesn't ensure that your ship will have enough HP and/or MIT to withstand a direct attack from the Event Boss, later in the second part of the event.
• It is recommended to give Romolo more items than the amounts found in the 'Ship Build Chart' above. 
• Ships stats and what the 'extra feature' does will be revealed at the starts of the second part of the «Rovian Wars» event, when Romolo will present the requested ships to the players who ordered them.

Zandra had got an announcement about a new event had started. As she opened the message and started to read the text a smile grew on her lips. It wasnt that kind of event when they had to kill the easter bunny or the sheep king. No, this was something more like the darkened souls war. Several players had to form groups and defeate the army that wouldnt be possible to take out alone. But this time they had to do something that Zandra could have never guessed. They was gonna build a boat to defeat a sea monester. To the boat they would need alot of different materials so the shipmaker could build the ship. It turned out that it wasnt something that you already had. There was some kind of special material that could only be found within a month from now. Then she better head out to get the materials needed as soon as possible. She walked over to a shelf and picked down a potion. She drank it all in one gulp, feeling her teeths sharpen and muscles hardening. Her strength had increased. Then she headed out on a journey to get that ship. Probably she would meet some other players that shared her goal and wanted to join her ship. She warped down to town of the beginning and headed to the outer gates where she stopped to look if she would meet someone from the start.

Potion of vicious dragon-fang consumed. +6 Dmg.

Itzal had decided to go material hunting today.  He was running low on some and now that he had purchased the gatherer skill he would be able to collect much more materials.  Soon he hoped to make a living of selling them since nobody came by his own shop for songs, vanity or non.  He walked along the forest edge as he opened his inbox.  He figured that Beatbox could use the materials as well so he decided to send him an invite.

After sending the message he began to look around.  As he scanned the area he thought he spotted a branch that was out of place.  He looked at it again, shook his head, and before he walked on he thought he saw a shimmer.  Ok, something was definitely different with the branch.  He scaled the tree within a second and reached for the branch.  When he tore it off it revealed itself as a material.  However this one was different.  "Never seen a material like this before," he muttered to himself before putting it in the inventory.  He then noticed one other like it around him.  He grinned.  This gatherer skill was extremely useful he thought.  He took them all off and added them into his inventory.  "Well then, today's going to be very fruitful indeed."

Beatbox was in the middle of opening a new store not to far way from where Itzal had been located, he had been working hard to get his new location all nice and "spiffy". Then while in the middle of getting this all nice and prepared he had received a message from Itzal... "Itzal...? What could he want..." he said as he opened the message and opened it to read. He smiled and started to reply back:

Yeah sure why not, I am opening up a new store and I need to get some material intake comin' in. My new store is in floor 1 this time around pretty close to where Birdie's store is. See you soon!

He sent the message and laughed as the last part was a complete joke. He yawned and called out for Ocarina, his familiar came immediately and jumped onto him climbing his back to his shoulder. He started to walk in Itzal's direction and fond himself in the woods once more... oh gee, great memories he's had here... but alas without much time he called out for Itzal and said "Hey Itzal! How's a goin' man?" with his hands at his sides.

Jomei sat in the comfort of his living room with Zandra, enjoying the morning. Jomei, wearing his casual clothing that consisted of gray pants and a black quarter sleeve shirt, had his legs up on his couch and stared up at the ceiling, a content smile on his face as he listened to the waves roll into the sand outside. Suddenly, the man heard a ping, notifying him that he had gotten a message. Lifting his hand from behind his head, he tapped the button and watched as the message expanded. It was no normal message from a player, it was a mass announcement made to everyone. The man looked over his shoulder to see Zandra sitting in an armchair, reading over the same message. 

It was an announcement for a new event, where the players in attendance were going to need to fight some sort of monster out at sea.. but before they could do that, they would need to build a ship. So far, this was peaking Jomei's interests. The group of players would have a month to gather the materials needed to build a sea ship. "Huh, sounds like a good idea right Zan-" Jomei looked up to see Zandra had already geared up and left. The man chuckled to himself as he swung his legs around so his feet touched the floor, "Always so excited to jump at new adventure." Lifting his hand once again, Jomei went into his inventory and replaced his casual clothing with his green and black leather armor as well as equipping his rapier. Soon after, Jomei was heading out the door himself. 

"Oy Zandra!" Jomei called after his fiance, "Don't think you're leaving me behind on this one."

Kasier had heard about this new event as well. Apparently, there is going to be a time span of about a month in which the players can prepare and build a ship, which will be used on a higher floor to fight on the surface of the sea. This would be the first event that Kasier is interested in, and there was no doubt that she would participate in such a event especially since she was now in an established guild which can work together to complete this quest. For now, she would spend the day gathering materials for the ship/boat, and it would be a hard task especially since she only wanted the best of the best materials for herself, hence, she wanted the best types of wood for this ship that would need to be built.

Early on in the day, Kasier walked out of the safe zone, hoping for a productive day in search of boat-building wood. Indeed, she had yet to take into consideration who exactly would be on her team but that would come in good time. She was certain that if she asked Itzal, he wouldn’t hesitate to be on the same team as she. With her eyes wide and her brain alert despite it being early on in the morning, she looked immediately at the surroundings around her, although she was unable to find any materials this way, she spotted Zandra and an unfamiliar orange-headed player. Perhaps they were considering doing this event as well? Zandra, one of the most powerful players, would probably dominate the competition. As she glanced to another direction, she soon spotted a familiar black-haired player.

Itzal. She recognized as her heart wrapped up within her. “Hey, Itzal.” She shouted with a wave and a huge smile.

Itzal was putting the branches into the inventory when he saw the message from Beatbox.  When he read the last line he burst out laughing.  "Beat my friend, you are getting way too into this role of yours!"  After he calmed down a bit Beatbox arrived Itzal nodded to his friend before getting down from the branch.  "Hey Beat!  I've been good how about-"  He stopped when he heard a very familiar voice call his name and his heart skipped a beat.  He turned and a bright smile emerged on his face and he ran up to Kasier, knowing that Beatbox would understand.  "Kasier!  How are you doing?  Beatbox and I were about to go look for materials if you want to join us!"  Then he noticed two figures making their way over here as he spoke.  He wondered how big this group was about to get.  He waved at the two in a greeting before turning to Kasier.  "Oh yeah, you guys haven't met yet have you?  Kasier, this is Beatbox, and Beatbox this is Kasier!"  While he did the introductions he scanned the area for any possible materials nearby.  As he looked around he spotted two fallen branches which surprisingly seemed like the other two he had found, yet poorer quality.  Still, materials were materials and he squatted down to select them and stored them in his inventory.

Beatbox had watched him finish gathering the material he had been getting, and with that he got a response from him finally. He smiled and listened to all to what he had to say, then out of no where we heard a female voice and Itzal had stop greeting the flashy blonde haired player. He looked over and saw that it was a female player, and he listened to Itzal speak of her name "Kasier". "So this is Kasier, huh? I didn't know what to expect from her." he said with a serious look before turning to a smile. Beatbox had waited for Kasier to approach the two of us and he extended his hand out and did a silly hair movement with his other hand. "Hey there Kasier it's nice to finally meet you." he said with a smile. His familiar jumped up to his head and tried to sniff the scent towards the female player to see if it were friendly or not.

Hakai wasnt particularly interested in sailing. Truth be told the idea of being out on open water was pretty frightening. She had managed to convince herself to participate in the event anyway though, mainly because of the rewards that would no doubt be given out as a part of it. In order to participate in the event she needed a boat, and to get that boat she needed to get materials. Plus, she also was hoping to get some people to team up with her as well. She gripped the handle of her katana as she walked alongside the entrance to the forest. Odds were that people would be trying to gather wood around here and she could join up with someone. She entered a short ways into the forest, and almost immediately saw three players talking to each other. She also noticed one of them picking up some pieces of wood. Even if they werent part of this event, it was always nice to become acquainted with other players. Who knew when those connections would come in handy? She wandered up to the three of them and gave them a wave, taking her hand off the handle of her katana. "Hey. Are you guys doing this event thing too? Or just having a meet up in the forest while gathering wood." She said snarkily.

“Sure, I would love to join you in material gathering. Oh by the way, have you guys heard of the new event that came out? Apparently, we have to search for a lot of wood, and I am talking high-qualified wood as well in order to build a ship, which will act as a way to glide upon the oceans. Then, having built the ship, players would go on and do something else. Apparently, it’s pretty good for a nice experience and skill point boost. I am planning on partaking it and maybe you two will consider to do so as well?” Kasier asked, “We can create a team with several other people as well.” She finished, looking over at Beatbox as Itzal introduced her to him and him to her.

The man known as Beatbox offered her and hand, and a lady does not refuse a handshake. With a slight smile, she leaned forwards and took the man’s hand with a fierce shake before releasing. “Pleasure to meet you as well, Beatbox. I have heard that you have been considering joining the Celestial Ascendants. I am glad to have finally met you in person and perhaps we can seek to have more adventures in the nearby future.” Kasier said in a professional manner and keeping a firm eye contact, making her figure appear very confident.

Immediately upon her introduction, a blonde lady bravely engaged the three players, asking whether the party was seeking to join in on the event hype or whether they were just simply gathering materials out here, of course, Kasier was, in fact, seeking to join in on the sailing event. “I see that I am not the only person interested in participating in this event. I know for sure that I will be completing this event, and probably these two as well. Perhaps we can team up together? May I ask for your name?”

Itzal listened as Kasier told him about an event.  Event quest?  He had heard about those but never actually attended one.  He grinned.  "An event quest?  Building a.  Boat?  That sounds like a lot of fun actually!  I'm totally in!  And would these wood pieces work out?"  He opened his menu and showed the names of the items he had recently found.  Then the other player approached.  Itzal scanned her really quick before recalling her.  "You were at the tournament weren't you?  And that time with Oikawa on the first floor.  You name was, ah what was it...  Hakai!  Your Hakai right?  Nice to see you again!  And yeah it seems like I'll be joining this event.  Should be fun!"  Itzal reached his hand over to shake her own and afterwards he noticed more wood.  He moved to insert it into his inventory and when he did he turned and walked over to the group again with a smile.  "Uh, Hakai I'm not sure if you've met these two.  This is Kasier, and this is Beatbox.  How've you been since we last met?"

As Zandra herd a voice, a voice she recognized very well. Very well. Since she had spent all her time together with that voice the last week. And together they have talked, and cuddle, and talked, and cuddle, and... yeah you get the point. Then she turned around and her crimson eyes looked into those emerald ones she loved. She gave the man a tight embrace and stood on her toes. Her lips meeting his with closed eyes. Then she took a step back and looked at him. "Well, it took you long enough thou." She teased him.

"Well, I thougth I was gonna head out as quick as possible so I could gather as much as possible. I'm planning to make biggest ship in the fleet. With you by my side, this journey gonna be a hundred times easier." Her hands started swiping in the air infront of her and a few seconds later she held a vial and a bottle in her hands. She emptied the bottle and a smell of alcohol ran out before she moved it to her lips and letting the rum flush down her throath. Next she threw the vial to her loved one. "Here, to increase your damage. If you dont need it you can save it for boss fight." She said as she looked over the field to find anyone that wanted to join them. A long way away she thnk she spotted a small group of humanoids. "Lets go there and check those out."

Itzal looked up as he heard more players approach and grinned.  It appeared to be a woman and a man.  He scanned their posture and the way they walked together and he could figure they were very close.  Just how close he couldn't tell just yet.  He waved to the two players.  "Hey there!  You here for the event quest too?  I think we've got a party going on here!"  When the two players arrived Itzal reached over with a smile to shake their hands.  "My name's Itzal, and this is Kasier, Hakai, and Beatbox."  After the introductions were made Itzal took a step back, the group now forming a circle.  "Ok, so if we're all doing the event quest I suppose the best option would be to team up.  From what Kasier told me we just have to collect a lot of high quality wood, which I seem to have already found some.  My build is a scout so my gear and skills should make this job easier.  Any of you know how much we have to collect?  And is there a time limit?  We could each split up in pairs of two if you want, or go as one large group.  Either way if we work together this should be over soon."  The more Itzal observed the two newcomers the more he wondered just how close they were..  As he thought he spotted some wood and picked it up and nodded as it was labeled Noble Wood and inserted it into his inventory.

Side by side, Zandra walked with her spouse. ‘’So Jomei, what do you think about that group over there? You think they are to be trusted?’’ she asked him before they got within hearing range. They have already noticed the couple, or one of them had and he introduced him as Itzal. She recognized the other persons that was in the group. She listened to Itzal as he explained that they had already gathered some useful wood for the ship. As far as Zandra knew, they also needed animal fat. But they could start with getting wood. ‘’Hello Itzal. Its nice to meet you. You know we almost met in the tournament on floor two. But Hikoru took your place.’’ She said with a smile. ‘’It would be fun to join groups to get a ship together. Lets get the biggest ship of them all.’’ More she couldn’t say before she spotted something behind them. There was four giant boars coming in full speed. She took a steady grip on her axe. ‘’Im sorry Itzal, more talking later.’’ She said before activating her charge skill and darted past the group she just met. When in range, she activated her strongest AoE and let Malindrina swing thru the air twice before slamming in the ground. More then half of the pigs health disapeared. Thou she wasnt completly unharmed, the boars retaliated and removed some health from her bar, thou she barely saw it.

Hakai nodded at Itzal, only just recognizing him after he said that he knew her. She was surprised that he knew her name. She barely remembered him at all. She had only just barely managed to dredge up the memory of his name. "No, I havent met these two. I'm Hakai, nice to meet you. Its nice to hear that others are interested in participating as well. I'd love to team up with you guys if you think you've got what it takes." She said with a half smirk before looking over at Beatbox. He had a pretty weird name, even for a videogame. She decided not to ask about it though. Just then another woman, along with a man walked over and seemed to take charge, cementing them as a team. She sighed and decided to tag along anyway. She unsheathed Limbo's Fang before resheathing it. The woman seemed to have it under control.

Beatbox had smiled as he met Kasier, and in a flash more and more new people came to greet him and the party to become one for this event that was happening. Although he was rather shocked that Kasier nor Hakai nor even the two other players didn't see Beatbox's outfit and didn't say something about it. He smirked and just thought to himself that maybe they could look past the outfit he was wearing. He looked back to Kasier to answer her comment for a moment "Yeah, I am interested in joining the Celestial Ascendants, and I do look forward to the adventures we both soon shall share." he said with a polite bow. He looked over to Hakai who was looking at Beatbox with a half smirk, he smiled and gave her a wink and said "What's wrong? Never heard of my name before, or have you never seen people in the style of my outfit before?" then giggled then turned back to Itzal and said to him "Well... uh, looks like we have a full team for this now. I thought we we're just getting materials... but eh, this is cool too." he giggled.

Itzal nodded to her with a smile.  "Yeah!  We could be a team and everything.  I wonder what we'll be needing a ship for..... Though..."  He stopped as he watched Zandra go off and fight four boar that had popped out of nowhere.  Itzal could tell that the monsters were much stronger than usual and from the way the woman struck at the monsters, it seemed she was a higher level than him, making him suspect that she was a member of the frontlines.  Itzal turned to Beatbox and jabbed him with his elbow.  "You might be able to help her more than I can.  I'm a scout, not a dps.  Maybe we could...  Split up into groups of two?  One group takes down monsters and one group gathers the appropriate materials?  And Beat, listen man, I know you like attention now, but seriously?"  He chuckled and shook his head.  "Sailing on a ship together as a team...  Wow."  Itzal scanned the area and found more rare wood and moved them into his inventory.  "It will be very fun I think."

The four pigs now was completly focused on Zandra. That was good, meant that the rest of the playe... persons nearby was out of danger. Thou she wasnt. Well, not that it realy mattered down here at first floor. Since it seemed these boars was built barely for defence and had near to zero offensive power. Well, she had to bring them down. By two reasons. It would, hopefully, reward her with alot of moneys and some materials. But they would also drop that useful animal fat they needed for the ship they was going to build. So she raised her axe again. She focused her mind to make sure she didnt missed because of some stupid reason, like beeing unfocused. This was her task now so this was what she was gonna do. She activated her AoE again and the big axe swung thru their healthbars, reducing it to barely visible on the bar. "Darn it, so close." She said as the boars counter attacked, reducing her bar almost nothing.

Although Kasier wasn’t sure how many materials the party needed in order to accomplish the task at hand. She was rather sure that it wouldn’t take that long though, especially since Itzal was having a mad run at grabbing nearby wooden planks and appeared to be having quite the luck while doing so. Already, the party had four noble woods, which means that they were pretty much almost satisfied in that aspect. A few more of those wooden planks would mean that they would have enough for a good ship with plenty of seats, enough for the people they had. As Kasier watched the two higher leveled players approach the group of low-leveled players, it seemed that the two groups came to a compromise to form one group, making it much easier for the groups to gather what they needed to gather and kill what they needed to kill. She was sure that the ship would be constructed in no time.

Soon, Kasier watched as Itzal engaged the players in conversation and she faded into the background, not that she minded. It was nice for Itzal to communicate with other players because he needed the social practice… Not that his social skills were bad for a shut-in. A sigh came from Kasier as she wandered around, checking to see if there were any wooden planks left to gather. Although Kasier did not do damage, nor did she have increased chances of finding materials, she was, well, at least, going to be a high-class healer eventually. Perhaps that is her role in all this, to act as the healer during the actual combat. A smile arose to her face when she spotted a wooden plank lying on the ground innocently, waiting for her to grab, unfortunately though, the wooden plank was not of a high caliber and was far from what they needed so she will simply keep it to herself.

Itzal waved to the group as he walked away.  "I'll go scout the forest for the wood we need ok?  I'll see you guys later then!"  As he walked away he spotted Kasier.  He noted that she didn't go join the woman in combat.  He wondered if it was level difference or something else.  Either way, he didn't like the idea of her being alone.  Not that she couldn't handle herself, especially on the lowest floor, but he didn't want her being lonely.  Even he knew how horrible a feeling it was when there was many people to talk to and yet you couldn't.  He jogged over until he was by her side and smiled.  "Mind if I joined you?"  He began walking along beside her and as he did he noted that the breeze was crisp today, not cold but not warm either.  Sort of refreshing he thought.  "So Kasier, what do you make of this quest?  You in it just for the sp or does it actually sound like fun?"  As he talked to her his eyes remained active, keeping an eye out for any wood he could use.  As they walked he spotted four wooden pieces and as he approached noted that they were not what he needed.  Still they were materials so he went ahead and stored them in his inventory.  Gatherer was really a very useful skill he thought.  He'd be selling materials in no time.

Beatbox had decided to help out in searching for some Noble Wood, and maybe to get some materials for himself while he's still here for his store. Beatbox wasn't much for conversation at the current moment, he went right into business and starting looking for the wood needed for the quest that's at hand. He started searching to no avail, he didn't find anything. "Figures..." he growled to himself, his familiar climbed some trees to help Beatbox find some of the materials he had needed and hopefully for some of the wood but unfortunately he didn't find anything. He sighed as he figured that he might not be of much help on this quest... he shook his head and continued to keep looking for the materials that are needed. Now that he thought about it, he thought about what else was needed for the ship and remembered that they needed fat as well, and those come from Boar's... maybe he would go off and fight some Boars of his own...
