Shadowpixel 0 Posted December 2, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 2, 2016 (edited) It was Pixel's first day in Sword Art Online and she already had one thing on her mind, training. She needed to get strong quick or she would be outclassed by the other players. She ran through Starting City, only to find that the town was more like a garden maze with buildings. She'd rather deal with a tutorial than go through this maze they call a city. It was hard to navigate through the place, since all the buildings looked similar and all the NPCs were almost the same. The road never changed, the shops never changed, and the buildings never changed! While running through the place, Pixel kept thinking to herself that every second she is wasting running through this town, she could be out in the fields training. She had chosen an iron one handed straight sword as her starting weapon and it was in her inventory at the time. She also had her iron breastplate already equipped. It was a little tight, but it would still protect her slightly. She wasn't expecting to be great at the start, like in all games. She had to train, train, and train to get to the top. Shadowpixel 0 Posted December 2, 2016 Author #2 Share Posted December 2, 2016 After running through the town for what seemed like an eternity, she had finally found herself at the exit gate of the city. She could finally get out there and get some exp. Boars and wolves sounded like the standard starting enemies, so she began to look for them immediately. "Come out come out wherever you are!" Pixel shouted into the field, hoping to grab a monster's attention. It didn't work obviously, but she still kept her hopes up. Suddenly, she heard a sound and turned to her left to see a light blue light appear out of the ground. A boar was about to spawn. She opened her inventory and equipped her sword and stepped away from the boar, so she get ready to use the Charge attack at the start. The boar spawned and it walked around sniffing at the grass. Pixel was ready and that sniffing would be the first and last thing it would do.
Shadowpixel 0 Posted December 2, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted December 2, 2016 (edited) While waiting for the chance she needed, she checked the boar's HP gauge. It had 6 HP, not too bad for a starting enemy. Eventually, the boar had stopped sniffing the ground and looked up at Pixel, who was in a fighting position, ready to charge at it. Pixel's sword began to glow light blue, showing that she was ready to use a sword art. The second it looked up at Pixel, it was met with a charge and a hit right across the back. She had used Charge successfully and followed through with the attack. She ran past the boar after striking and turned to face it. The boar was not happy anymore and was ready to kill Pixel. Pixel knew she had 20 HP, so she was in no danger. She checked the boars health gauge again to see how much she did. "2 HP left... okay." Pixel said to herself. The Charge gave her an extra two damage, so her sword did 2 HP worth of damage on it's own. Perfect. Shadowpixel 0 Posted December 2, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted December 2, 2016 Pixel only needed to hit the boar again and it would be dead. "This is gonna be my whole day isn't it?" Pixel said to herself as she prepared for the boar's oncoming attack. She started bouncing up and down as way to dodge quicker as the boar came running at her to give her a headbutt. She turned and stepped to the side as the boar ran past her. It missed laughingly and now Pixel had her chance to attack the boar. This game was fun, Pixel was enjoying this. The excitement of fighting monsters was just so cool! The boar wasn't real, the sword wasn't real, but she didn't care. This game was something she was in right now. She wasn't worried about getting out anytime soon. For now, Pixel is in the brilliant world Sword Art Online, and she will become strong, after killing this boar.
Shadowpixel 0 Posted December 3, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted December 3, 2016 (edited) Pixel turned around and ran at the boar again. She couldn't use the charge art, but it wasn't needed. One hit would kill the boar. She swung her sword at it again and hit the boar through it's stomach. The attack had done 2 HP of damage to the boar and it stopped moving. She ran past the boar that was currently spazzing out and turned around just as it exploded into a million tiny greenish-blue crystals. She killed it without a scratch. A pop-up appeared in front of immediately after the crystals disappeared showing her small reward. She had earned 30 Col from it. She had nothing to compare it too yet, so she wasn't sure if it was big or little. Since it was a first floor enemy, Pixel assumed that it wasn't much. Giving so much at the beginning is broken. Then again, there was the Splattershot Jr. in Splatoon VR. One boar certainly was not enough training for one day. She needed to kill a least three more. Shadowpixel 0 Posted December 3, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted December 3, 2016 Pixel's excitement from the kill faded away quickly as she waited for another boar to spawn. She heard that spawning sound again, but from two sides of her. One was across the field and somewhat far away, while the other was closer to her and within striking range. She took a few steps backwards and got ready to use Charge on this boar. Her sword began to glow yellow as the light blue light appeared on the ground, and the pixels that made up a boar came together. It was a strange sight to see, all the pieces coming together so quickly. It can make you a little dizzy if you look into it deeply. Pixel was unfortunately doing so and her eyes went blurry for a few seconds. She refocused her vision on the about to spawn boar and would charge the second it finished spawning. Easy come, easy go. Shadowpixel 0 Posted December 4, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted December 4, 2016 (edited) The boar had finished spawning, along with the other boar across the field. The clock was now ticking for Pixel to kill the first boar, or the other boar would come after her as well. The blue light faded away, and Pixel charged at the boar, with her sword ready to slash. She sliced from down to up through the boar, dealing 4 HP of damage to the boar with the charge bonus. She had forgotten to check the boar's HP bar in the first place, so when she followed through with the attack and ran past the stunned boar, she turned and checked. "8 HP, more than last time... still no biggie." Pixel said to herself as the boar began to charge at her immediately after recovering from the blow. While she got ready to dodge the attack, she looked over at the other boar. It hadn't noticed her. Shadowpixel 0 Posted December 4, 2016 Author #8 Share Posted December 4, 2016 The other boar hadn't noticed, which meant she still had time to kill the boar. It would take two attacks minimum to kill the boar in front of her, so she had to make it snappy. While she was calculating all this, the boar hit her with a headbutt and caused her to fall to the ground. Pixel didn't make a sound, she just fell. It hurt a little bit, but not too much. Pixel stood up immediately and shook off the empty feeling she got from falling. It was odd, and Pixel did not care for it. Like all monsters, she would kill this boar quickly. She had always had a wanting to kill things. This game definitely would satisfy that wanting. Sword Art Online was only a bad thing if you thought about what it was doing. It was a standard MMORPG and was a good one. She still needed to be strong though.
Shadowpixel 0 Posted December 4, 2016 Author #9 Share Posted December 4, 2016 (edited) Pixel regained her focus and ran at the boar again and gave it a nice, clean slash through the stomach. 2 HP drained from the boar's HP gauge and it made a loud grunting sound. Pixel was feeling satisfied that she had landed another successful hit. Unfortunately, the boar's loud grunting caught the other boar's attention, and it came running at Pixel. It was still a little far away, so it wasn't too big of a deal. Pixel checked her HP bar to see how much the boar did to her. "19 HP left huh? It only did 1 damage. It is weaker than I thought." Pixel said to herself as she looked up to see the boar kicking it's legs and getting ready to run at Pixel again, she would dodge the attack this time instead of getting headbutted to the ground. No one was around to see, so it was okay. It would be embarrassing if someone saw her. Shadowpixel 0 Posted December 22, 2016 Author #10 Share Posted December 22, 2016 (edited) Another hit on the boar and it was history. Pixel ran at the boar and swung at it, but missed and slid onto the ground, getting mud all over her."Wah!" Pixel cried out as she landed on the mud. She got up and looked up at the boar, who was ready to tackle her. "You've gotta be kidding me." Pixel said to herself as the boar charged at her and hit her again. She was knocked into the mud face down and took another 1 HP of damage from the beast. Pixel coughed and wiped the mud off her face. "I'll have to deal with this mud later. But this thing definitely needs to die." Pixel said to herself as she stood up and faced the boar. It still had 2 HP, so one hit was all she needed. But her time was running out on killing it before the other boar would ruin everything and double team her. One boar is enough to deal with. Shadowpixel 0 Posted December 22, 2016 Author #11 Share Posted December 22, 2016 Pixel raised her sword again at the boar and ran at it once more. She missed again and almost tripped again. She was getting sick and tired of this cycle. She just needed to land one successful hit on the boar quickly, but she kept missing. The boar on the other side of the field was getting closer and was not showing any signs of slowing down. Pixel turned around and saw the angry boar in front of her running at her. She moved out of the way and the boar ran past her, barely missing. Pixel was irritated now and really wanted this boar dead. Either she had bad aim, or this boar was able to dodge both slashes. Regardless of which it was, Pixel wasn't happy about either of them. This training did not need to go out as long as it already was. She still had another boar after this one. Shadowpixel 0 Posted December 22, 2016 Author #12 Share Posted December 22, 2016 (edited) Pixel took a deep, calm breath. She knew she had bad luck, but third time is the charm, right? If she tried to do it quickly, she would miss the attack. She aimed her sword at the boar, and ran at it again. She sliced at it calmly, and sure enough, she had landed the attack and took out the last of the boar's health. She felt very good and satisfied with herself as she watched the boar's HP gauge go empty. She smiled when the boar exploded into a million tiny crystals. "Good riddance!" Pixel sighed with relief. She knew she had to train more if she wanted to get better at this. The missing hits repeatedly were not acceptable.for Pixel's standards. Now, she had to deal with the other boar who was still running to her. "One more to go, then I'm finished." Pixel said to herself reassuringly. She had to keep a positive attitude with the whole thing or she would get bored way too quickly. Shadowpixel 0 Posted December 22, 2016 Author #13 Share Posted December 22, 2016 (edited) Pixel was still at a good enough distance to where she could still activate her Charge sword art. Her sword began to glow yellow as she ran towards the boar who was doing the same motion. She had the advantage of her sword and had no doubt in her mind that she would miss the attack. A pop-up notification appeared to her side and she ignored it for the time being, it was the rewards for killing the previous boar, but she would collect them after the boar she was dealing with was killed. She hit the boar with a clean cut from the side. She had done 4 HP of damage to it for sure from the bonus of charge. She turned around after striking it and looked at it's HP bar. 3 HP left. It must have had 7 HP in the first place then. Pixel had an idea now on what the first floor monsters were like. She had yet to see wolves, but they would probably be in the 6 to 8 HP range with 1 HP attacks. Pixel was having a bit of fun. Shadowpixel 0 Posted December 22, 2016 Author #14 Share Posted December 22, 2016 (edited) Pixel turned around and dashed at the boar quickly before it could react and try to hit Pixel. Even if she was having fun, she still wanted to get this over with. She slashed at it with her sword through the stomach and jumped over it after doing so, just to confuse the boar. She checked the boar's HP bar again. "1 HP left. I better not miss this hit over and over or I will just lose it!" Pixel said to herself as she prepared to dodge the boar's upcoming attack. Once the boar turned around, it charged at Pixel head first to hit her. Pixel jumped up high and let the boar run right beneath her. She laughed to herself at the stupidity of the boar when she landed. This next hit will finish it off and she can then call it a day. She needed to get the mud off of her and get some rest. Shadowpixel 0 Posted December 23, 2016 Author #15 Share Posted December 23, 2016 (edited) Pixel got into a ready stance and darted at the confused boar in front of her. "Waugh!" Pixel cried out as she missed and fell on the ground again. She missed for the third time now and lost her fun mood about facing the boar. Pixel stood up and tried to wipe some of the mud off of her. It was every where on her body and she did not like it. While she was in the middle of wiping the mud, the boar headbutted her and knocked her into the mud. "Ugh! This is gross!" Pixel complained as she wiped the mud off her face. She hated mud and boars now. There was a boar in front of her, which she really wanted to kill now. She better not miss again, that would just be insulting and humiliating. "You got lucky the first time, but I'll kill you this time you stupid boar!" Pixel shouted at the beast. She was determined to kill it now. Spoiler ID# 72712 BD: 1 CD: 12 LD: 14 MB: 6 Edited December 23, 2016 by Shadowpixel
Shadowpixel 0 Posted December 23, 2016 Author #16 Share Posted December 23, 2016 Pixel was furious at the boar now and wanted it to lose all of it's HP and explode and die. She had 17 HP now in her health bar. "You're dead meat now!" Pixel shouted as she ran at the boar and slashed it upward with her sword. She hit it this time and gladly followed through with her attack. "Ah... much better." Pixel sighed with relief as she watched the boar's HP bar fade to nothing as the boar exploded into a million tiny crystals. Another pop-up notification appeared in front of her. "Hmm? What is it this time?" Pixel said as she read the rewards she got from killing the boar. "35 col and... leopard skirt?" Pixel read confused. She pressed the check mark button and collected the rewards. She then moved on to the other pop-up that appeared when she killed the previous boar. "40 col and leopard top?" Pixel was still confused at that, but she pressed the check mark button and collected her stuff. Now, she had to deal with the mud problem. Shadowpixel 0 Posted December 24, 2016 Author #17 Share Posted December 24, 2016 Pixel wasn't exactly sure how much her 105 col would help her in the long run, since she had never bought anything in the game before. She would probably compare the col to some kind of item from a shop and see how it is. Before she could leave the field however, she heard a loud growling noise behind her. "Another one?" Pixel asked herself annoyed. She hadn't had the time for another one. Although she still had 17 HP, so maybe she could handle one more and come out fine. After all, she could use some more col. Pixel turned around and was not greeted by another angry boar. Instead, she saw a gray wolf running at her across the field at quick speed. She checked it's health bar quickly and saw that it had 6 HP. "Only six. This is an easy small fry... as long as I don't miss." Pixel said to herself with much doubt. Shadowpixel 0 Posted December 24, 2016 Author #18 Share Posted December 24, 2016 (edited) Pixel charged at the wolf and activated her Charge sword art again. Her sword began to glow yellow as she ran at the wolf who was running at her. "Hyaa!" Pixel cried out as she slashed the wolf across the side and avoided the wolf's bite. Pixel laughed as she landed and turned around to face the boar. Pixel was getting a little smug that she was taking care of this one so easily. She checked the HP bar of the wolf and saw it had only 2 HP left. Her attack did 2 HP worth of damage, and Charge once again added 2 more HP of damage to the wolf. All she needed was one more hit and the wolf was finished. Only problem was, she was going to miss most likely. The wolf would avoid the attack and then hit her. She already convinced herself that this would happen. Her luck was not the best today. Shadowpixel 0 Posted December 24, 2016 Author #19 Share Posted December 24, 2016 (edited) Pixel still thought she at least had a slight chance to hit the wolf with her luck. "I can hit this. Just stay calm." Pixel said to herself in an attempt to calm and reassure herself. She took a deep breath and held her sword vertically, ready to strike at the wolf at any angle. She ran towards it quickly so it would not have time to dodge the slash. "Take this!" Pixel shouted as she slashed it from the bottom upward. She had actually managed to hit it. Pixel was definitely glad she had taken the wolf down without missing. It is just simply a big hassle to deal with missing repeatedly. Pixel smiled as she watched the wolf spaz for a moment as it's HP bar dropped to zero. It glowed for a split second, then exploded into a million tiny crystals. "NOW I'm done with this training. Phew." Pixel said with much relief. Spoiler ID: 72766 BD: 8 CD: 5 LD: 10 MB: 9 Edited December 24, 2016 by Shadowpixel
Shadowpixel 0 Posted December 24, 2016 Author #20 Share Posted December 24, 2016 Pixel was relieved to finally be done with her training for her first day in Aincrad. A pop-up appeared in front of her, displaying her reward for killing the wolf. "Ah, 30 more col. Now I have more funds." Pixel said happily as she clicked the check mark button and collected the col. She had earned 135 col today. Either this was a low amount, or she had enough to get some better gear. Either way, having some pocket money is always helpful to have around. Now she had to deal with her mud problem. "I have to wash my clothes somewhere. Maybe there is some kind of river in the woods." Pixel said to herself as she began to walk through the field and to the forest in front of it. Usually there are sources of water in place like that. Even if there isn't, it is still a nice place to cool down and catch her breath from her training.
