Row 0 Posted December 18, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 18, 2016 (edited) Since getting their first customer by ways of promotion, Row was feeling extra excited. She hummed her own little victory song while walking through the streets of the starter city. If promoting services for appraising will get earn her col. Then maybe getting to know more people and have them see her awesome treasure hunting skills will promote her own treasure services. She did not want to be just a supplier mats after all. She wanted to be a full-blown treasure hunter and supply the front lines with high quality gear! Still she had a long way to go and only having one person know her name out of a thousand is not enough. So to help with this goal she decided the best way would be to help the newbies of the world. Even though she herself was a newbie, she was a strong newbie. Still with everyone just walking around, it is hard to know where to start. Therefore, in the end, she just sat by her favorite place in the city, the fountain. It would be the best place if there was yen at the bottom but hey, one should not be too greedy right? @Nocturn Edited December 18, 2016 by Row
Nocturn 0 Posted December 18, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 18, 2016 How long had it been since he learned how to use his Sword Arts correctly? One day, or two? Either way, with the praise of Aereth riding on his back, Nocturn was excited. He was going to go outside the walls again, and practice some more. He wanted to make sure that his techniques were flawless before even thinking about live boars to further practice on. He roamed the crowded streets of the Beginning City. It was such a different feeling then what he felt at home. At home he was by himself, here he was almost touching people on accident. Surely not everywhere was like this, this crowded. The game had trapped ten thousand people, and there were only a handful of them here. Crowded, he could hear criers calling out. Buy fresh fish, baked goods, sharp steel, sturdy armor. All of it was the same old same old. But there was one that was different from the rest. A young woman, calling out as a 'Treasure Hunter' of all sorts. Noct chuckled, and approached the girl. "Hi, couldn't help but overhear that you're a treasure hunter?" He asked. "What kinds of things do you find? What's the rarest things you've seen?" His mind racing with questions. He'd met blacksmiths in other games, as well as NPC's that sold goods. But never a treasure hunter. Spoiler @Row
Row 0 Posted December 20, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted December 20, 2016 Out of the crowd came a man with black hair and a interest in treasure. "Yes sir, I am the great treasure hunter R.O.W." She was nowhere nearly as great as she was making herself out to be, but she had never seen someone who was interested in treasures so she had to sell herself high. Supply and demand is a very important principle. "As for the treasures I have see, well..." She paused for a moment. She did not have anything interesting to tell. She has only played this game for a short while and most of that time was spent sleeping in the shop or killing boars for loot. Crap, she had nothing to tell stories about. "Well... I kind of... haven't found anything yet... but I do have some rare stuff like this." She opened up a window displaying her dimensional pouch. "This is a super rare item that only drops from mobs. You have to be really lucky to come across one of these." This probably was the rarest thing she had but in the future, she was sure she would find something even better. "In the future, I will find rare things like this all the time!"
Nocturn 0 Posted December 21, 2016 #4 Share Posted December 21, 2016 A great treasure hunter, with no stories, and only a bag to serve as he greatest achievement. "Uhm, well." Noct said, staring at the bag. "We've all just started, I'm sure you'll find fame and fortune in no time." Noct said, rubbing the back of his head. What was so special about a bag anyway? Noct guessed that the bag could hold an item no matter the size, so that it was kinda useful in a sense. At least for players who run out of inventory space. And who was he to judge, other then some crummy ruin, Noct had found nothing but a handful of Col and materials. Both of which, he had no real idea of what or how to use them. They were both marked as currency, so Noct figured hoarding them wouldn't be a bad idea, at least till he knew what he wanted to spend it on. "So, why take up treasure hunting? Why not take up a normal profession, like everyone else here?" Noct asked, trying to make idle conversation.
Row 0 Posted December 22, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted December 22, 2016 Row smiled when the player tried to give his support but it felt more like an arrow through the chest. Still she would not give up. All she had to do was locate something grand in one of those sub dungeons. Then she could acclaim all the fame as a treasure hunter. When the man question her reasoning for treasure hunting verse an actual profession, she could not help but laugh. "Well it's a funny story really. You see, originally I wanted to be a merchant so that whenever i found something rare, I could sell it to the front liners. Treasure hunting was meant to supply that path but then I met merchant who partnered up with me. I still have the merchant profession quest queued up in case i go back to being solo but who knows when I will go back to finish it." Suddenly she realized she was rambling on and bowed to the player, "My apologizes, I started rambling. I hope I didn't bore you... opps... I don't even know your name." Nocturn 0 Posted December 24, 2016 #6 Share Posted December 24, 2016 Noct rubbed the back of his head. "Noct. My name's Noct." He said, introducing himself. He felt a little embarrassed, that he would go to question to girl's life choices without even giving his name. He figured he had to make it up, somehow. But he wasn't of a level to do anything of note, or wealthy enough to buy her forgiveness. "Uhm, would you mind if I accompanied you on your next treasure hunt? I've been through one simple ruin before, and had my fair share of combat. And perhaps I'll be more suitable company then some dusty old ruin." Noct said, trying to make up for his simple mistake. And, it cold be a chance to find some armor or weapons that he could use. After all, he was still using his starting gear.
Row 0 Posted December 27, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted December 27, 2016 "Noct hun? Is that short for something? Sounds like it would ha ha." She inspected him one more time to ensure she could put name to face. She did not want to be the person to forget people shortly after remembering them especially when they where interested in treasure hunting. She grinned at the man's roundabout way of asking to party up. "Well, I don't mind having you come along but you have to promise to do everything I say. The monsters here are very dangerous and the last person who did not listen almost died! I still get nightmares about it." She lowered her head as she cycled through that failure. Suddenly she remembered that the guy wanted to join her and it was a bad idea brag about almost getting someone killed. She forced a laugh hoping to make light of her last statement. "I got a battle skill now though so you should not have to worry about dying"
