Sey 0 Posted December 28, 2016 Author #21 Share Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) Still though, there were a lot of berries back at the first vine that was he was searching through, it was perhaps still a good idea if he was only looking for those, just to be on the safe side. Trap berries are not what he was looking for, they could really ruin the lives of people, himself included since his shop relied on the opinions of others in order to keep on keeping on. Fortunately, none of the things he placed into the piles of mats were poisonous, so he at least knew he can't mess up from this point if he just continued to be very careful. Still though, those good berries were probably a little bit rare since they did not seem to be appearing all of a sudden, which was rather sudden of a loss. But still, there was no other place that he could really go to. ID: 73405 LD: 11 (Nope) Total T2 Mats: 28 Edited December 29, 2016 by Sey
Sey 0 Posted December 28, 2016 Author #22 Share Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) Looks like there was nothing else for him to see at this part, which meant that it would have been a better idea to just get out of there and look for the materials elsewhere. It was either that or try to risk his life and the lives of others with the poisoned berries, and the latter of the two was surprisingly not too enticing. So he would make his way out from there by taking the entrance that he took, to prevent himself from getting lost in the process. With this, he would be back into the fresh air, looking to see if there were some new glowing lights that might have spawned elsewhere and he might have missed them. However, the answer would be no for the moment when he caught nothing of a glow, showing that he still had some work to do unfortunately. Sey 0 Posted December 28, 2016 Author #23 Share Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) There was something n the ground indeed, another herb leaf. But it did not glow like the other ones did. That probably was not too fortunate of a sign in the first place. However, he was still optimistic and would pick it up off of the ground. Upon inspection, there was an ant already on it, and it seems to have eaten a hole into the leaf already, turning it into junk. To taunt him, the game would have three more placed in his hand at that moment, all of the leaves with that same hole, as if he planned to use such a thing. He'd let the leaf gently float downwards in the air before then landing on the ground, in which would would stomp and grind it before continuing on his path. So with this, he would end up walking back the same road he came from the town with. ID: 73407 LD: 4 (Nope) Total T2 Mats: 28 Edited December 29, 2016 by Sey
Sey 0 Posted December 28, 2016 Author #24 Share Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) Now the world was beginning to be mean time him, since there were now all sorts of herbs around him, but not a single one of them did not ha ve some sort of painfully obvious flaw in them. It was either destroyed, eaten through by a bug, or possibly even both. That was not what he was going to give his people. It probably would have helped if he went to the fields with a much more open mind about this, taking some vitamins would have helped and so would the gear. But there was no time to worry about that now. He figured that he had a good amount, so he would be traveling back home until a path of materials guided him elsewhere. And if it didn't, that would conclude his day then. It was a decent amount, not the amount that he was hoping for, but it was still something. Sey 0 Posted December 28, 2016 Author #25 Share Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) So with this, he would actually see another glowing in the field of dead material herbs, as he would move his body towards the direction in which the glowing was coming from, hoping for some progression. Once arriving, he found that he would have to begin digging through all of the dead herb leaves to find one that was still alive. It was on the brink, but it was still alive. Once he was able to get it out, he would inspect it to see that it was in a good condition, so he would place that back into his inventory and add a couple more in as well, showing that there was still a little bit of hope in this material search. Now with that done, he would look around to see if there was any other trail that he needed to follow. With this, he would continue to look around. Sey 0 Posted December 28, 2016 Author #26 Share Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) Perhaps he was just a lucky player for the moment, since there were no other leaves for him to look through with a glow. It was the glow that told him if something were good or not, and while it was most certainly tempting to try and take one of the other leaves, even if they looked really good and seemed to have no flaw, he would rather not take them since the game said that there is definitely something wrong with them. Compromising was with prices, not with the quality of the product. Even the best merchants would know that, for that fact alone will bring a business far into the game. So with that out of the way, he would end up placing his hands in his pockets and look over towards the town where he came from, considering going back or not. Sey 0 Posted December 28, 2016 Author #27 Share Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) With this, he would shake his head, resisting the temptation to give up on what he was looking for. It was a bit painful admittedly, but it will allow him to keep moving forward. So he turned the opposite way of the town and looked towards the field as he would continue to pursue the glow that he had been trying to aim for. It was not in the other direction yet, and it was not on the less risky road that he took, so he might actually take on a few enemies in the process as well. Placing his hands in his pockets and letting out a little sigh, he was moving further and further away. But he needed a specific location, otherwise he would be doing what he had always been doing and be aiming for nothing else but dead air. Seems like there was nothing too new. Sey 0 Posted December 28, 2016 Author #28 Share Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) And due to him being stubborn and moving on, he then finally found the next glow that he waslooking for. However, he did not make haste in getting towards it, but he would embrace it with a calm pace as hew ould continue to make his way over there. It was not like anything bad was going to happen to it anyways, not while he was there watching. Upon arrival, he would find out that it was just a mushroom, so that was going to be added onto his list of things that will be used for his shop, as he would then add them into his inventory. This was a very good supplement so far, and he would continue to move towards that direction since it did not seem to have a previous scout to mark their territory and claim the materials of this land yet. That was beautiful. ID: 73412 LD: 18 (1 + 3) Total T2 Mats: 36 Edited December 29, 2016 by Sey
Sey 0 Posted December 28, 2016 Author #29 Share Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) And there it was again, nothing else happened. It did line up a bit more with the statistics, there was a 25% chance of it happening every time, and it seems like those were the numbers given to him. It would make no sense for him to lose hope when he himself called it, so he would end up thinking this before continuing on the road, seeing if he was able to make that 25% something really beneficial for his work. Maybe not, but it was worth the shot. If not that, he could at least appreciate the meadows that were laid out for him to see, it was a beautiful view indeed for him. With this, he would place his hands in his pockets and smiled as he saw the daylight sky, it was the smaller things in life that could make him happy, and it was barely like this in the real world. Sey 0 Posted December 28, 2016 Author #30 Share Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) With that, there was another glow, meaning that he was not too right about the stats after all. Seems like there was a bit more hope, and it was probably one of the rare few moment where the snow-haired player was incorrect about something. Not that he was always right, but because of logic and semantics, he was able to reduce the number of times that he has been wrong to a small amount. Naturally, he may slip up here and there, but it was still very much possible. The glowing would stop as he arrived before he picked it up from the ground, and therefore he would see a few more herbs to place into his inventory. Once he had done that, he would continue on to search for more lucky clovers for him to pluck and put again into his backpack. Sey 0 Posted December 28, 2016 Author #31 Share Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) With this, the glowing would continue on but in a little bit of a different location, towards the west this time. It was going towards the sun, so he obtains a few seconds more of the day at least. That was while trying to look at this in a positive light. On the plus side, he was able to get to the glowing once again before placing his hands in his pockets, smiling about what he saw next. There was a plant with an apple on it. That was something he would love to have to use for his meals. So he would gladly place it into his hand, only for it to be stacked up upon by a few more of the apples, and then he would place those into his inventory as well. With that, he was nearly done with the search, the goal he wanted to obtain was nearly done. But there was still plenty of time, so he will keep going. Sey 0 Posted December 28, 2016 Author #32 Share Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) And so a streak would be embraced, as there were a few grains on the ground as well. He would gladly pick up a few of those off of the ground, and the material count must have been huge by now. This was definitely enough for him to live off of for a good amount of time. Now he understood why he might have wanted to take on the path of a scout in the first place, because they get all of this stuff with just one skill alone. That was full well worth the investment after all, and the best part of this was that he was still able to fight in combat. This bliss sense of security, he was really enjoying his time with this investigation. But now he was gaining a lot of things off of this little search. He might need to buy a second fridge due to this large amount of materials in possession. ID: 73419 LD: 18 (1 + 3) Total T2 Mats: 48 Edited December 29, 2016 by Sey
Sey 0 Posted December 28, 2016 Author #33 Share Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) The grains would then be followed up by a sudden patch of wheats. Wheat was used to make bread, and this was fresh as well. It was not only able to grow on it's own, but survive on it's own. Regardless, they were wheats, and they were materials for him to use as well. So despite all of their effort to survive whatever weather they have gone through in order to make sure that they survive, he would end up plucking them from the ground and placing them into his inventory. An ending fitting for the wheats indeed. On the plus side, he was going to have some bread now instead of buying the white bread that no one really knew if those were safe to eat or not. At least Sey can guarantee that the bread he is making is natural. So with that, he has a full set. Sey 0 Posted December 28, 2016 Author #34 Share Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) Wheat, fruits, grains, but he was still missing something. There needed to be some form of veggie somewhere for him to pluck from the ground. If there was a garden nearby, he would know where to look since land was nothing too unfamiliar for him to comprehend. But unfortunately, it does not seem like that would be the case. So as he walked, he would then see it, a few rows of corn. It was not technically a veggie in his opinion, but it will have to do. There was a good handful of them, so he would proceed to take them down one by one before then placing them into his inventory, storing up nearly another days worth of work into that. It was nearly time for him to go home, but there was still a little bit more work for him to do before he leaves the scene. Sey 0 Posted December 28, 2016 Author #35 Share Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) Once he got all of those things, it was just about clean in this area. It was time to keep on moving, though he was probably going to have to move back to the town. Maybe there were things that he could find back over there on his way back, but the sun was soon going to start to set and he was going to have to go to the first floor so that he could sleep in his shop. It was the best area to be in. So turning his back towards the sun, he would make his way back to the town, though he was hoping that he might find some more flowing materials on the way there. If he were so unlucky, at least he could say that he was lucky enough to even get the amount of materials that he did from this little search. And that was what he wanted from this trip, it was truly an investment worth having. ID: 73424 LD: 8 (Nope) Total T2 Mats: 56 Edited December 29, 2016 by Sey
Sey 0 Posted December 28, 2016 Author #36 Share Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) Overall, it was a good material collecting day for him. There were plenty of things on this floor that were just given to him, and he was grateful for being given such an opportunity. Now he needed to continue rising up the ranks and making sure that he got to the level goal that he got to. But on top of that, he was also planning to buy a house when he makes the items that he does. It seemed a bit over ambitious to imagine, but he knew that he could do it if he put enough effort into the task. So that was what he planned to do, because that house was something that he could imagine himself having for just himself. There would be a guest room for probably about one or two people, but then the rest of the entity would be his for the taking. A wonderful... Reality? Sey 0 Posted December 28, 2016 Author #37 Share Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) Not a single glow in sight, perhaps that was what he should have been expecting on the walk back. After all, he did clear the first part where everyone exits. And that was just assuming that he was the only scout that bothered to get the materials. Of course, he can't say that there was another balance build player around, since everyone keeps telling him that he would be the first one if that were ever the case. So with that, he would place his hands in his pockets and not even bother with searching. If he would end up finding one in his path, great, he'll gladly pick it up. But there was no point in trying to rush the game and try to force a drop out of the ground. Placing his inventory up with his right finger, he would proceed to review what he obtained. Sey 0 Posted December 28, 2016 Author #38 Share Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) He was very close to the safe zone, where the gates would allow him to enter before they would end up closing to keep out those who dared try to enter when they were not supposed to. It was truly a safe zone after all. Taking one last chance to look around, he would see if he could collect any more materials from the scene around him. Unfortunately, there seemed to be no glowing around the area. So it was about late. He would probably make his arrival in about a minute or two, since the distance was approximately a good 50 meters away, which was half the distance of a track. Those were cleared within 2 minutes for him, but for such a distance, it was going to take about a minute since he was going at a walking pace, not even a rushed one either. Sey 0 Posted December 28, 2016 Author #39 Share Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) And so the gap had been closed and he entered the safe zone, where he would be unable to continue searching for the materials that were needed to handle the shop. Now he should be secure for the customers that wanted all of the T2 items. Now for the one that wanted a T1 item out of all things, he was going to have to wait for a little bit while Sey made a bunch of T2 items. Funnily enough, the struggle was not actually the T2 items, because now those he could make really easily. People usually struggled to get them set, but it was actually the lower tier that he was struggling to be able to pull out. Sey was always a backwards sort of player, but was that necessarily a bad thing? He took that sort of title with a lot of pride and a small smile. Sey 0 Posted December 28, 2016 Author #40 Share Posted December 28, 2016 So that was it. When he placed up his inventory, he would begin to count up all of the materials that he found for the day. Upon doing basic math in his head, he found nearly sixty materials or him to use, which if he did his math as accurately as an estimation like he did right there, that should total him for 12 days worth of work. It did not sound like a lot, but being able to possibly make 60 items was something he was truly grateful for. So it was a great day overall, but now it was time for him to sleep. He needed to find the teleporter to get him back to the first floor, where he can get on his comfy lounge chair and take the night off. So he would close the inventory and make his trip down the somewhat empty roads of this high floor. It was going to be a long time before he got to his house, but it will happen eventually. And that was how he liked to close off the day.
