Nezumi 0 Posted January 4, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2017 On what seemed like the coldest night of the year Nezumi had stumbled on to the 4th floor as he had been wandering aimlessly like he usually did. The 4th floor was a veritable winter wonderland of what seemed liked a endless field of sparkling white crystals as far as the eye could see. The moon was high in the sky that night its bright light reflecting softly off the freshly fallen snow illuminating the area. Nezumi stepped lightly through the snow his feet making soft crunching noises each time he took a step through the fresh powder, though during a quiet night such as this his footsteps still echoed off the nearby trees alerting anyone or anything near by of his presence; however he was not worried for he was a mouse and avoiding people was a specialty of his as it had been something he had been practicing his entire life. He smirked softly as he walked amused by the mere thought of him being a mouse scurrying through the night avoiding the owl as he explored the wonders this floor had to offer. The snow and the night had always been an inescapable comfort to Nezumi, a comfort that had reminded him of better times and did now even trapped inside this horrible game. Nezumi continued to make his way to a tree that sat high on a snow covered hill bathed in moonlight its snow covered leaves reflecting the light making the tree seem to almost glow, like a beacon of hope guiding lost travelers to safety. As he neared the tree a soft wind had started to blow lofting his raven black hair lazily into the breeze and sending a slight chill down his spine. As the shudder passed him, Nezumi reached back tightening and adjusting the light blue lace ribbon which held his mid back length hair in a somewhat organized tail, before he slowly wrapped it softly around his neck using it as a make shift scarf to help ward off some of the chill. After what seemed like forever and a age of walking he finally crested the top of the hill and came to a rest next to the tree which he gently leaned against taking in the sights from this magnificent vantage point, as a matter of fact he was so high up he was even able to see the tracks his boots left in the snow as they slowly filled in as if they never even existed to begin with. {WC:421}
Kooh 0 Posted January 8, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2017 Kooh wasn't even dressed for the wintry floor, so what was she doing here? Trying to get her body used to the temperature so the cold bothered her less? Was that even possible? A chill ran down her spine as the wind bit at the skin of her bare legs and face. With her signature black and white hood, the girl had small white specks clinging to her blonde bangs from the light snowfall. The weather had grown rather calm after dark, which was surprising. Kooh had expected blizzards and unbearable snowstorms at night here, but perhaps it just varied day-to-day. Letting out a small sigh, the teen was unimpressed with the condensed air that became visible in front of her. She felt like she was lingering on something, which was unusual for her. The blonde lowered herself to a sitting position, paying no mind to the piled up snow on the ground as she leaned back against the sturdy bark of a large tree. She brought her knees close to her chest and loosely wrapped her arms around them, letting her face rest against her forearms while a scowl took over her features. She looked out across the landscape, getting a rather good view from the hill she settled herself on. She mind wandered, thoughts drifting to the events of the past month or two and how her everyday lifestyle in Aincrad was slowly changing. She wasn't sure she liked it. Just as she felt her eyes closing, enjoying the silence she was engulfed in, the light crunching of snow caused them to flicker back open. Kooh kept herself still, listening carefully and gauging the direction of the rhythmic noise. She tried glancing to the side before turning her head entirely to look over her shoulder. A figure, steadily becoming visible in the moonlight, had been making its way up to the hilltop. Odd. Though if she had decided to carrying herself outside of the city walls in the middle of the night, what was so weird about another person doing the same? Kooh raised an eyebrow, but remained silent. Unsure if she had caught the player's eye, she concluded that she wasn't exactly hiding and if they hadn't noticed her yet they surely would within seconds. "Yo." The girl offered the most casual greeting, as if nothing was out of the ordinary. She seemed to have no suspicions of him and came off as harmless herself.
