I'm not sure how good they are, but I would love to see some more variety to choose from when people pick out their builds. xD Feedback is welcomed. Note: Only one ‘Stance’ skill can be active at a time, but a stance can be turned off in favor of another one. DPS Feint Cost: 10 Post Action Description: Fools the enemy into thinking you're going to attack, only to change direction and hit them from a different angle. Effect: Deal your base damage to an opponent and bypass any Mitigation they might have. Can't be used with sword arts and is only usable on a CD roll of 8+. Not affected by the combat craft enhancement and costs 2 energy to use. ______________________________________________________________________________ Glide Stance Post Action Cost: 10 Effect: A movement skill that allows the user to ride wind across short distances when used. Speed is increased greatly in this stance and allows the player to perform a second post action as long as this skill remains active. Costs 20 energy per turn to maintain. This stance can’t be used while wearing heavy armor. ______________________________________________________________________________ Arms Blast Post Action Ranks - 5 Description: Target’s a weapon’s weak point and destroys it. Effect: Temporarily reduce an enemy’s damage by X on a successful CD roll of 6+ for 3 turns by giving their weapon/means of attack the [Broken] status debuff. X = Rank x 2. Multiple uses do not stack or reset the skill’s duration. This skill can't reduce a target's base damage below 1. ______________________________________________________________________________ Future Sight Post Action Cost: 10 Description: Allows the user to predict and avoid the opponent's next attack. Effect: On a CD roll of 8+ evade an attack you might receive on your next turn from the enemy. Not influenced by combat craft enhancement. ______________________________________________________________________________ Counter Stance Post Action Cost: 10 Effect: While this stance is active perform a basic attack on the turn after you successfully dodge an attack. This attack doesn’t consume a post action but it can be mitigated. This skill costs 10 energy for each turn the stance is maintained. ______________________________________________________________________________ Tank Substitute Post Action Cost: 10 Description: Creates a decoy to absorb damage in place of your actual body. Effect: Any damage directed at you will be taken by the substitute instead. The clone has 25% of your current HP and Mit, but lacks any other enhancements/skills that happen to be on your character. Use of First Aid and other support moves along with items such as safeguards and mit/healing potions will not affect the substitute. Once its HP depletes it disappears and the skill enters a cooldown period of (insert number here) turns. ***The player must focus on maintaining the clone, so they are unable to attack while this skill is active. ______________________________________________________________________________ Full Cover Cost: 10 Post Action Description: Stand in the way of the enemy and protect your allies from harm. Effect: After the turn this is used when a specified ally takes an attack, you will take the hit instead, but only suffer half the damage. ______________________________________________________________________________ Rage Stance Cost: 10 Effect: For every 3 hate a player has they gain an additional +1 to their overall base damage. This buff disappears once the hate focused enemies are defeated and the skill costs 10 energy for each turn the stance is maintained. ______________________________________________________________________________ Mod: War Cry (Howl) Cost: 12 Effect: Howling catches the enemy off guard and stuns them for a single turn. Only works if Howl is used on the player’s first turn in battle. ______________________________________________________________________________ Support Rally Ranks - 5 Description: Cheering on an ally invigorates them and serves as a source of strength for them during battle. Effect: On a CD roll of 6+ reduce an ally’s energy cost by 1 for X number of turns. X = Skill Rank. NOTE: This skill can’t be used on yourself and does not stack with multiple uses. Mod: Liberate Cost: 15 Effect: Increase the duration and the amount of energy reduced by the Rally skill by 1. ______________________________________________________________________________ Refresh Cost: 10 Effect: Removes one negative status effect from a single target. 2 turn cooldown time between uses. Mod: Mass Refresh Cost: 8 Effect: Removes one negative status effect from every person in the user’s party. 4 turn cooldown time between uses. Mod: Protection Cost: 10 Description: Creates a protective barrier around the target to protect them from a single status ailment. Effect: The next status ailment the target would receive is nullified. Only barrier can be active at a time and this skill has a 1 turn cooldown before it can be used again. ______________________________________________________________________________ Undo Cost: 10 SP Post Action Effect: Revert a target's HP to its value at the beginning of the previous turn. Can be used to either raise or reduce health, but can't revive a target whose HP has been reduced to 0. Costs 10 energy per use. Mod: Undo Trois Cost: 15 Effect: Extend the time range of the Undo skill from 1 turn to 3. ______________________________________________________________________________ Scout Lore Specialist I just thought it sounded cool so I added it to the list. Damien 0 Posted January 21, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 21, 2017 I'm just gonna leave some of my newbie thoughts here. Glide stance + future sight = Way OP. Substitute = Pokemon stuff right here. I like the idea, but with their not being magic in the game, how would this work? Really interested in knowing. Really like the rally skill, although maybe there should be one that slightly increases base damage too? Rage stance = Like the idea. Mod:Protection = Like I said with the whole magic thing, I don't know how this would work either. Undo = I don't know what crazy stuff could happen with this xD. Yup, just figured I would leave my thoughts since no one else did. Here yah go! ^_^ If I'm wrong on something please lemme know. I like the idea of most of the skills here. Takao 0 Posted January 25, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 25, 2017 Feint is interesting. Very iffy on Glide Stance. If it did allow for a second post action, it would come at a very heavy price. I like a potential mechanic that Arms Blast could introduce so that might be something I'm interested in exploring in 3.0. Future Sight and Counter Stance may also be taken into consideration. I'm on the fence on substitute. Full Cover is interesting and you may see a pre-existing iteration of this making its way in 3.0. Personally not a fan of Rage Stance, and War Howl sounds very nifty. I like the support ones as well. Good ideas overall! We'll definitely be looking into them. Link to post Share on other sites
