[PP-F15-NK] Witch of the West and the Three Treasures - Tin Man & Scarecrow [QUEST]

Recommended Posts

At the words "fish" and "feed" and a phrase that basically meant as much as he wanted, Chewie abruptly settled back on his haunches and eyes the cat lady warily, doing his best to cock and eyebrow that the cub really didn't possess. He was skeptical that this woman, the non-feeder, could be trusted. But, he'd also bit her a few times now and knew she tasted like neither beef nor pork nor chicken nor fish nor even dragon. Disappointing. After a few seconds, as the winged monkeys came in which was something Chewie paid not the least bit of attention to, the cub held out his paw to Mestophales to shake.

Meanwhile, the Vice Commander of the Knights of the Blood Oath remained focused upon the winged monkeys that had appeared. The mobs made continual attempts to dive bomb the group to attack, but the flailing of the gigantic axe was proving to be enough to keep them outside of striking range for the time being. At the moment, they were at a stalemate, but the grey-eyed fighter was certain that it was only a matter of time. After all, it didn't take a genius to spot the fact that the monkeys had considerably smaller health bars than Mack did.

"Oh. I see..." Anemone was somewhat right about Tomas and after speaking with him, there was not so much distrust in him as she had felt the first time. He seemed like a genuine enough person and although his tone was somewhat dry and lacking any life, she felt that her feelings about him from before were her own paranoid delusions. When he said this was not the place for Confessions, she bit down on her smile and knew that much. They were in the middle of quest and something that might have Mack trouble getting around to doing with a bunch of lowbies tailing them. But she was no different, despite being mid level player, she was only a Support Character and she had no way of doing any kind of damage to these Flying Monkeys.

So that's what this was all about. She now remembered that really old ancient black and white movie from so long ago. It was indeed reminiscent of such a thing and the name Toto, how did that pass by her? She gave herself a 'duh' expression. Mack had swung his axe just in time for them to swoop down and try another run-n-gun hit. But the ferocity of his mighty weapon has scattered those Winged Monkeys back to where they needed to go. "Hey, Mack. You can handle these things, right? I mean, you think we can call for some help from the others in your guild?" @Tomas

Tomas watched the tactics that were being employed by the flying monkeys and held his rapier at the ready. If it looked like their was a reasonable opportunity to launch an attack on the creatures then the monk would not miss the chance to strike. Or, at least, to attempt to strike. For the time being, however, the ginger man's efforts with his enormous axe were successfully keeping the winged monkeys away. The problem was that his efforts were also keeping the winged monkeys out of attack range for everyone else in the party was well and that would be something that was sure to slow things down in the long run. Still, there was nothing for it at the present. Tomas suspected that, given the floor they were on, that the winged monkeys would be more than up to the task of killing him. Therefore, it would be smart to wait at least a little longer before trying to attack just to make sure their leader had sufficiently drawn the attention of the mobs to make sure that the monkeys didn't make the abrupt decision to target Tomas instead.

The Bear and the Cat came to an understanding with one another, and she took his paw in her own and shook on the deal. She smiled at the familiar with a very wide expression, "I'm gonna stuff you so full of fish, you won't ever want to eat it again! Let me tell you about it; there is salmon, trout, pike, swordfish probably. You like swordfish? I like me some swordfish on occasion. It's really good and--" When Mestophales was listing off the names of fish the Mammoth Vice Commander once more swung his large ax in the air to drive away the Flying Monkey's. Poo Anemone seemed all caught up in the lore of the quest, the cat girl had no use for that lore stuff and she was told not to engage in the enemy. So she sat there and obeyed like a good cat girl...but then she got bored of sitting with the bear cub.

Her orange eyes moved from the brown fut to the man known as Tomas whom seemed rather desperate to want to attack the Flying Monkeys, "Just whistle at them, I am sure they love that." She said with a tone in her voice, it was apparent she was not very pleased with the guy. He was not fun and he continued to provoke her at any given time, but he seemed more focused on the mobs than her, that was good. She could be left alone for the time being then. So she fell on her back and sprawled her body out looking up into the sky where the Flying Monkey's were spiraling around like vultures. She shifted her hand and yawned slightly, her eyes blinking slowly as she almost intended to have a quick cat nap. @Mack

Chewie's eyes got bigger and bigger as the cat lady described all of the different kinds of fishies he could eat. Even swordfish. Obviously, if someone ate swordfish they would be able to use a sword. Everyone knew that. If Chewie ate a swordfish then he could grow up to be big and strong, just like Dom the teacher of crude sign language! Plus, if he ate a swordfish and could use a sword then he could catch all the fishies, and share them with no one. Maybe the cat lady wasn't too bad. When she flopped on her back Chewie padded over to her and flopped, heavily, across her stomach before yawning loudly, closing his eyes, and falling asleep.

Meanwhile, Mack had his attention focused on the winged monkeys. Raising Invictus, the ginger giant snarled and charged forward, whipping the weapon through the air and through the necks of all the mobs, reducing them to pixels even as he completely ignored the damage they inflicted. Four points was hardly anything to worry about.

Apparently her question was soft spoken a bit too much for the Goliath Axe Swinger to hear here. But as she had bit down on her finger and saw that Mack had rushed into battle head long, crimson hair fluttering in the wind, his axe sizzled with a sword art. She titled her head to the side slightly and watched him mow them down with a bit of a flash before they had turned to pixel dust. "Well, then I suppose we won't be needing much help after all," she said mostly to herself. Her red eyes sought out the others, everyone seemed to be Ok. Tomas was standing there ready to help if there was a need, but he was a bit on the low side to help. Mestophales and Chewie seemed to have fallen asleep? Well, perhaps that was ok so long as they weren't at each other's throats anymore.

The woman smiled and clapped her hands and noticed Mack had taken some slight hits of damage from the last round of attacks. Even if it was a little bit of Health, it was her duty after all to act as the Healer. With her hands stretched out, those four little digits had been bumped back up to full health for Mack, "There ya go. It might not have been much, but at least it will do for now." When Anemone looked up to see if the coast was clear, it was not. There was an awkward cloud moving towards them again, but it was not a cloud it was another set of Flying Monkeys. Toto yipped to alarm them of the new enemy that was coming, ran in circled and jumped into her arms. Anemone held the pup to her chest and made a sour face, "More of them...Maybe next time, I should bring some food items to increase hit accuracy." She said mostly to herself. @Tomas

OOC: @Miss_Mestophales

“If anyone would know about being called with a whistle, I would think it would be you,” the holy man replied in a dry tone, turning his hooded gaze on Mestophales. Her style of dress, general demeanor, and flashiness made it readily apparent to the monk that she likely attracted all sorts of the wrong kind of attention from everyone, even if men were the more likely to be wolf whistling and catcalling. Tomas watched as the Vice Commander of the Knights of the Blood Oath effortlessly dispatched the flying monkeys, that was once he managed to successfully land a hit on the creatures. The slender man made a mental note of the pluses and minuses of the ginger man’s weapon choice. Obviously, power and the ability to handle groups seemed to be a strong point, something that Tomas knew his own rapier would be unable to replicate. That was good knowledge to squirrel away for later.
