Percival 0 Posted January 24, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2017 (edited) [Item Used: Yui's Grace] Percival was rummaging through his supplies in his shop, and was shocked on how low his supplies were. "I think it's time to go out and grab some supplies." He couldn't believe how many supplies he burned through the past few days. Double checking his gear and inventory he made his way to the shop door to begin his gathering session out in the wild. "I think my best bet will be to go mining for a bit. Grab some good ore for all the armor and weapons I have planned later." With a light hearten sigh, Percival makes his way to the nearest city gate to start his mining session. Arriving at the gate Percival surveyed the countryside to see if there was any danger nearby, and thankfully it did not appear anything was around."Let's get a move on" Percival made his way to the nearby mine, and was excited at the prospect of him getting more materials for the shop. It was late morning once he arrived at the mine, and was pumped to get started. "Let's not leave here until we get at least 5 by the end of the afternoon." Percival 0 Posted January 24, 2017 Author #2 Share Posted January 24, 2017 (edited) Walking over to the nearby rocks, Percival kneeled down to start searching among the rocks. "I need as many of these as I can. Especially if I want to get my mask. Then I can start to begin my limited interactions with other players." Hide contents ID: 75201 LD: 16 Turning over one of the rocks, he happened to catch a slight glimmer underneath the earth that had slightly been disturbed. "What do we got here?" I began to brush off the earth that was submerging the object, and after a moment of dusting the object was confirmed to be an ore. "Yes! That's one down already. I can't get too excited though. I don't know when the next one will show up." Percival said to himself, sending a shiver down his spine of the horrors of his first gathering quest. He continued to unearth the ore from its tomb, and after a little bit of work, was finally able to pry it free and add it to his inventory. "Time to check out the next spot." Percival 0 Posted January 24, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted January 24, 2017 (edited) Percival started to make his way over to the next spot, but thought he heard rustling of some nearby foliage. He quickly crouched to the ground as to see what was causing the sound. He waited patiently, but whatever made the sound was not moving anymore. "Should I wait?" He thought to himself. Placing his hand on Alakaslam, he began to make his way forward to where he thought the noise originated from. Peaking his head over a bush, there did not seem to be anything in the vicinity. "Hmmm. Maybe I am just hearing things?" He stood back up once again, but as he did there was a large amount of rustling coming from behind him. "Crap!" He thought, quickly swinging Alakaslam, as he turned around to see the intruder. However, what sat in front of him was no danger at all. Sitting in front of Percival was a small bird. giving a huge sigh of relief, Percival motioned for the bird to shoo. "Almost had a heart attack there..." Shaking his head, he began to once again make his way to the next pile of rocks. Edited January 25, 2017 by Percival
Percival 0 Posted January 24, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted January 24, 2017 (edited) Making his way to the next rock outcropping was not terribly difficult. Once he arrived he began to lift and search through all of the rocks, in an attempt to find more ore. Spoiler ID: 75207 LD: 8 Tossing rocks left and right, Percival searched for a while, nut it didn't seem there was any of the ore he was looking for nearby. "Well, we can't be too disappointed. We still have quite a long day ahead of us." He said to himself. He leaned against a nearby boulder to take a look at the nearby scene, as to plan what course of action he would take next. "There are a bunch of small rocks over to the right, a very large boulder in the middle, and a bunch of other smaller rocks to the left. Which one should we try first?" He looked up to the sky above him. The sky was quite beautiful that day, and it just made him ever more pumped with the task at hand. Looking back down at the options in front of him, he retorted "Alright! Let's start on the left side." Edited January 24, 2017 by Percival
Percival 0 Posted January 24, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted January 24, 2017 (edited) Spoiler ID: 75222 LD: 1 As Percival made his way over to the pile of small rocks he began to stare back up at the sky. "Amazing how such a fake world can be so beaut-". Before he could finish his statement he tripped over something and tumbled on to the ground with a hard thud. Groaning, he sat up to take a look at what on earth he tripped over. There seemed to be a random stump peaking out of the ground from where he tripped from. "Well....that just happened." He says standing back up. He dusts himself off and continues to make his way over to the pile of rocks. Once he finally arrives, he begins to take apart the rocks. Checking each one to see if it is hiding either or was ore. Sadly he came up with nothing. "Looks like we are heading over to the big rock next." With the thought in his head he begins to make his way over to the next section. Edited January 24, 2017 by Percival
Percival 0 Posted January 24, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted January 24, 2017 (edited) After a short walk he made it to the large boulder. "There seem to be quite a few smaller rocks around as well. Might take me a while to go through all of them." Without hesitation, Percival began lifting up the smaller rocks at the base of the large boulder in an attempt to locate more ore. Spoiler ID: 75254 LD: 12 Turning up rock after rock was not providing anything he was able to use. "I am finding slivers, but there doesn't seem to be anything worth salvaging in these." He says tossing a rock a few yards away. remembering he hasn't checked for any hostile mobs recently, he decided to climb the large boulder to take a look around the immediate area. Once he got to the top and was able to survey the area, he immediately went to prone atop the boulder. There seemed to be a few wolves in the area. "Where did they come from?!" He muttered to himself. "I have to be careful. I don't want to draw their attention." Making sure he was not seen he climbed down the boulder to restart searching for some more ore. Percival 0 Posted January 24, 2017 Author #7 Share Posted January 24, 2017 (edited) Spoiler ID: 75255 LD: 5 Climbing down the boulder, Percival began to take his time searching the rocks around him. However, the task seemed tedious since he had to be quiet as to not alert the nearby pack of wolves. "This is going to take forever." He mumbled to himself, sifting through the rocks and gently placing them down. "I may have to do something about them. Otherwise, I run the risk of them attacking me without being prepared." "I should get a good look at them again before I act on that thought." He began to climb the boulder once again in an attempt to see where the wolves have either gotten closer, or ran off elsewhere. He slowly began to stand up on top of the rock to get a good look around. The wolves didn't seem to notice him, and they seemed to be moving away. Sighing in relief he sat down atop of the boulder, thankful he was not going to have to fight. Edited January 24, 2017 by Percival
Percival 0 Posted January 24, 2017 Author #8 Share Posted January 24, 2017 (edited) He turned over a few of the small rocks nearby in an attempt to find some ore. However luck did not appear to be on his side. "Maybe I should try the other side?" Spoiler ID: 75291 LD: 3 He made his way over to the pile of small rocks, just on the other side of the large boulder. He kneeled down to begin his search for the ore. After moments of searching, it didn't appear there was any near by. "Well that's not good." He walked over to the large boulder, and sat in its shade. "I guess I can take a quick break." He pulled out a small water canteen and a small snack. "After this I should get on top of the boulder to check where those wolves are at now." After a few minutes of rest he stood up and gave a quick stretch. "Let's get back up there." He thought turning to the boulder to begin his climb. Once he made it to the top of the boulder, he took a quick survey of his surroundings. He noticed the wolves had circled back to where they first were seen. "So they have a set path. I can work with that. However, the next mine I need to go to is directly through them." He sat down atop the boulder to plan out his next move. Percival 0 Posted January 25, 2017 Author #9 Share Posted January 25, 2017 Shaking his head, Percival thought to himself "I don't have a choice. I have to deal with them." Standing up on the rock, Percival checks his equipment and inventory to make sure he is ready for the battle he is about to get into. He started climbing down the boulder, and once he reached the bottom he quickly checked to see if had been noticed. Nothing seemed to stir nearby, "Good. I have not been noticed just yet." Making his way over to the wolves, he got a good eye on just how many where in the area. "I have three in this vicinity. I don't see anymore, but I need to be careful." They seemed to be spaced out enough, maybe I could distract and pull them one at a time. Steadily making his way over to the wolves, Percival picked up one of the nearby rocks. Taking aim at the wolf in the far back, he chucked it with a good amount of force, pegging the wolf in the back of the leg. The wolf spun around, and noticed my presence, coming full force at me. "Well, it's show time!" Percival shouted to himself.
Percival 0 Posted January 25, 2017 Author #10 Share Posted January 25, 2017 (edited) Spoiler ID: 75366 BD: 5 (+1) 6 MOB: 10 Percival, without hesitation, rushed towards the wolf. Using his War-Hammer Sword Art, Upper Swing, Percival drags Alakaslam upon the ground, swings the hammer with immense force into the bottom of the wolfs skull, and quickly spins to slam the hammer down on top of the wolf's skull. The wolf recoiled in pain at the massive hit. "You like that?!" Percival shouted at the wolf. The wolf stumbled back to recover from the blow, and began to circle around Percival. However Percival misjudged how fast a wolf could be, and in the blink of an eye the wolf was already lunging for him. The wolf opened it gaping maw, and latched onto Percival's arm. "Crap that hurts!" Slamming his shield into the wolf's head, knocking it off him. Percival quickly stepped back, "Man that wolf is fast. Then again what did I expect?". Percival and the wolf began to walk clockwise, always keeping an eye on the other. "I have to get in there without being too vulnerable. I have this shield, better learn how to use it properly." "What is this? My arm feels better all of the sudden." He realized that this must be his battle healing skill he managed to pick up earlier last week. "Glad I picked that up." He smiled to himself. As Percival and the wolf circled, Percival was determined to use his shield effectively in this scuffle. "I got this." muttering under his breath. In a flash the wolf charged forward. Waiting until the last possible moment, Percival slammed his shield into the head of the wolf, thus knocking it to the ground a little dazed. Taking the opportunity given to him, Percival once again used his sword art, Upper Swing, to deal some good damage into the wolf. Taking up Alakaslam Percival slammed the hammer down upon the wolfs skull, "Stay down! I will make this quick.". However the wolf had other plans, standing back up, circling Percival once again. Noticing this, Percival ducks behind his shield, and slams the shield into the wolfs stomach. Knocking the wolf to the ground. Taking up Alakaslam, Percival took a basic swing at the wolf as it got up to recover, nicking it in the hind leg. "You better run puppy dog." Percival said, taunting the wolf.
