Sey 0 Posted February 10, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2017 It was the first floor again. And apparently that was enough for the intro. Sey had not been here for a while and felt a little bit guilty for that. his personal life was beginning to swarm around him like crazy, it was just not normal for him to be anywhere but. Though his shop was the exception, considering it was on this low of a floor. On the plus side, he was able to advance further into the game if he could get a few more allies. A lot of people ended up on his friends list, but there must be more! Why? He was greedy, he liked having people to rely on later on in the game. Plus, he wanted out. The first step in the game was by far the most difficult, so if he is able to prevent players from dying and have them fight on the frontlines instead, that would have been a much better cause. Now he wanted to advance further in the levels and reach the next tier. more goals, but he did that one just simply because he needed to get his skills up. After all, the balance build was by far the most difficult part of the game. It was why many gave up and went for DPS. However, he was still standing tall and proudly exclaiming it... Though he was just sitting at the edge of the fountain with one of his sandwiches in his mouth. He was looking around for players among the maze of NPC's, perhaps able to spark a chat with them. @Eira
Eira 0 Posted February 11, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 11, 2017 The first floor was all that the young girl had ever known. She hardly ever cared about what was beyond the first floor, and the Town of Beginnings, where she lingered in order to stay safe. Whatever was beyond the borders of the safe zone was a mystery to her, but not one that she contemplated very often. In the end, everything did come down to survival, even in a safe place. Hunger was a thing even in a video game, and the blonde could feel her avatar growing hungrier and hungrier as the hours went on. It was nearing lunch time, and she hardly had enough money for food. Someone earlier had been kind enough to give her a rather delicious bun, which she chose to save until she needed it. Despite being so young, she was smart enough to save the food until when she was hungry, which was now. Retrieving the bun from her inventory, Eira eagerly grabbed onto it and shamelessly sat down at the edge of the fountain. There were a few other people nearby, and some sat on the fountain as well- some NPCs, and some players. She hardly cared, however, and made no effort to acknowledge them or make eye contact; all that mattered was the delicious source of food in her tiny hands.
Sey 0 Posted February 11, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted February 11, 2017 A green player would arrive to the fountain a moment later with a bun in her hands, rather than the usual tasteless bread that existed in the game. Was there another chef in the first floor? If so, the snow-haired player never learned of that. She seemed to have the starter gear, so getting to a different floor did not seem like an option for her. Hm... Regardless though, she seemed to be rather young for a player. Did she need to be brought to an orphanage? She... Didn't seem like the type though, considering how subtle she was trying to be without trying to look towards others. Minding her own business, good lesson for her to learn, but not at such a young age. Well, he might as well try to spark up a conversion. A child or not, she was still a player with a family that wanted her to be home. So he would approach with a few slides on the edge of the fountain. "Hey there. Do you know where I could get a bun like that?" He could make one of his own, but she did not need to know that.
Eira 0 Posted February 12, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 12, 2017 (edited) The bun was delicious; enjoyed by the young girl as she ate it. Despite this only being a virtual reality, and not real life, the food was still good. In the child's mind, it sustained her real body too, which was probably still lying on her older sister's bed for all she knew. One day, she could return to them, somehow. She knew that they would wait for her, and would probably miss her. She missed them too- and though she forced herself not to cry very often anymore, the thought of them lingered with her every day. Thus, it was her duty to simply survive, and hope that some great hero or warrior would win the game for everybody. She fantasized about it often, and found herself doing it once again as she slowly nibbled on the bun that had been given to her. Her thought process would have continued as such, had not the voice from the man next to her broken into her childlike daydreams. Looking up from her bun while still chewing, Eira focused on the person who had spoken. Odd white hair, probably platinum blonde, duller eyes, and a fancy garment of some sort, signifying that he was a player of a fair level; that was all the child first observed. Slowly, his words would sink in as she glanced down at the bun in her two hands, and back at him again. "I don't know. Somebody gave it to me," she responded directly and honestly. She had no idea where the person had gotten the bun, nor did she know if they had made it themselves or not. "Do you want one? I could help you find the person who gave it to me. Maybe they have more," she offered, attempting to be helpful for once. Most likely, it would be rude for her to directly ask for another, but this fellow himself could ask for one from that person, if he wanted. Eira was willing to assist him in finding the person with the buns, sympathizing with the fact that he could be hungry like she was, and in need of food, having not seen the sandwiches he was eating earlier. @Sey Edited February 12, 2017 by Eira
Sey 0 Posted February 12, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted February 12, 2017 "That sounds lovely. I'm sure you wouldn't mind a little reward along with it, right?" He asked as he would kick his right leg up a little bit, lazily swinging it a bit while looking up with his hands in his pockets. He was looking to the sky to see if there was any chance of rain or similar weather conditions. He was not sure how it worked in the game, but there had not been any yet on this floor based on what he had seen, and he had been living in it as well. It was an oddly confusing system for him to get behind, the coding of the system was a little bit off if it could not add even a weather system. This was said with double standards, since he could not think of any as well. Why bother thinking of this? The new players were going out to the fields and trying to get a jumpstart into the game. If their accuracy had been lowered, including that of this girl if she wished to fight monsters, she would end up in some serious trouble. He might bring her to get come col or something, and considering his level, it would be a high amount. Looking back down, he would place his hands in his pockets and tilt his head, awaiting an answer.
Eira 0 Posted February 17, 2017 #6 Share Posted February 17, 2017 (edited) Eira slid off of the edge of the fountain and rose to her feet, before turning to the white-haired man with a mile. He was odd- she had not met many people with white hair before, but simply went on ahead to assume it was something like platinum blonde, and completely natural. Maybe she was just seeing it in weird lighting. She was prepared to begin searching for that person before who had given her the bun, but only with the older boy looking for them with her. His words confused her, however, as he seemed to somewhat agree to looking for the person with her, saying it sounded lovely. But what was he referring to in regards to rewards? "A little reward?" she echoed, blinking as she gazed at him, and frowning slightly as she tried to understand what he meant. A reward for her, or for the person with the bun, and why was he asking if she would mind a reward? That was a silly question to ask, after all, but why was he going to reward anyone? He was a confusing one. Edited February 17, 2017 by Eira
Sey 0 Posted February 18, 2017 Author #7 Share Posted February 18, 2017 Sweet, looks like he brought out the usual ominous vibe that he had. Or at least, one of mystery. "Yup yup. Favors aren't free these days anymore. With the right amount of col, you should be able to get many things. Besides, it's not fair to just leave someone with nothing after they help you." The snow-haired player would explain as he would look around, seeing if there was anyone with some buns like she had explained to him. Naturally, there was none that he was able to see from a close distance. Even if there was he was not going to point it out. Why? Simply because she was going to guide him, and maybe they were able to get to know each other through that? "You're a green player in the town of beginnings. Are you of the first level by any chance?" Some beginner's were not level one. But this child had little to nothing on her that made her look different from a level one. There was nothing else to be expected.
