Macradon 0 Posted February 15, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2017 (edited) "Alright! Well done everyone!" he roared out the the entirety of the people present as the final attack would be dealt to the Shaman. Macradon would rush by the Shaman’s now vanishing corpse of pixels and crystals, running straight into the labyrinth he would be protecting from everyone. A screech would come from the small owlbear as it followed its partner. Making sure to refresh as much of his damage potions and mitigation potions as possible. He would go low as his stocks of potions were low as well, chugging down a lower damage potions, a two damage potion, just so he had something to boost his damage with, even if it was just minuscule. Dropping a Sand Armor potion as well as a small Damage enhancing potion, Macradon would be ready to venture into the labyrinth in the swamps. What kind of creatures would he encounter in there? How long would it take before he would find the map fragment? <Tiger Rage Consumed> <Sand Armor Consumed> Spoiler Macradon 1195 HP 118 Energy 3 Accuracy 0 Evasion 17 Base Damage (22 w/ Charge) (18 w/ Ferocity) (23 w/ Ferocity+Charge) 93 Mitigation Items Sword of the Ancients ........ // +6 Damage, +1 Paralyzis, +1 Phase Blood Crusader's Halfplate ... // +54 Mitigation Blood Oath Necklace .......... // +2 Recovery, +1 Accuracy Balthazar - Familiar ......... // +1 Accuracy Battle Ready Inventory Scarecrow's Sickle ........... // +6 Damage, +1 Bleed Teleportation Crystal ........ // Teleport somewhere you want with an action Banner of Command ............ // Give up to 4 people +1 Damage | 2 Charges leftSand Armor ................... // +27 Damage Mitigation Tiger Rage ................... // +2 Damage Buffs+ 2 Damage + 27 Damage Mitigation Skills Two Handed Straight Sword | Rank 5: +5 DMG Heavy Armor | Rank 3: +12 MIT Search and Detect | Rank 4: +4 LD Charge | Rank 5: +5 DMG on first hit Fighting Spirit | +1 Hate generation Disguise | +1 to your BD and +1 to your opponent’s BD/MD Survival | Heal 6 HP when out of battle each post Battle Healing | Heal 30 HP each post Skill ModsFinesse | Rank 1 Precision | +1 ACC RevealTracking | Enables the user to track down a monster or a player if the user knows the monster's or player's nameAthletics | +1 DMG, +15 Health Ferocity | Rank 5: +1 DMG when using 5th rank Sword Arts Ambience Edited April 5, 2017 by Macradon
Macradon 0 Posted February 16, 2017 Author #2 Share Posted February 16, 2017 (edited) As he ran through the many corridors, paths, crosses and corners, Macradon would finally encounter a group of monsters. From the slim corridors to this much larger room, Macradon would have much more room to battle in. The room without a roof would be inhabited by 4 large leaf like monsters, like scorpions in leaf camouflage. They would quickly begin to react to the sudden appearance of a player. They all would launch their stingers at Macradon while they would approach in rapid speed. Balthazar would screech twice, telling Macradon to hit the creature’s heads, which would be their weak points. “Thanks, Bal!” he replied, but that was much harder said than done. With a quick sidestep and a sudden <Charge> he would slam with his pommel from his great sword into the side of one of the Leaf monsters, making a dent into its armor. A shock wave of force would follow through from the pommel smash, leaving the leafs staggered for a short second. ID: 77406 BD: 4+3=7, Hit! CD: 10, Recovery proc! Macradon 0 Posted February 16, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted February 16, 2017 (edited) This big clumsy sword would get in the way of Macradon’s attack patterns that he was used to do. His first pair of Sword, Slayer of Jura, Crusader, Crusader MKII and Scarecrow’s Sickle were all normally weighted greatswords, but this, this big slab of metal is something else. It tears through armor like a maul, being capable of just ignore most of it, but it also impeded a disadvantage for Macradon, it was just way too heavy for him to wield normally. He would have to get used to the heavy weight of the sword so he could utilyze it probably. Maybe he should contact someone like Lessa who has just as large a sword, maybe she had some tips to use a heavy sword in combat with proficiency. He would just have to get it going now and ignore much further distraction, focussing on the point of percussion of the sword, trying to pinpoint it so he could swing it as swiftly as possible. The heavy sword would swing slower than anticipated, making the Leaf monsters capable of blocking the oncoming attack with their stinger tails in the instant the stun duration was over. Macradon 0 Posted February 16, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted February 16, 2017 (edited) With a quick adjusting of the sword, Macradon would make a clockwise swing with his whole body, making his sword take in a lot of velocity and momentum, crashing right into the tails of the monster, bashing them aside as he would quickly transform into one of them. The confusion in their small beady eyes would be seen as Macradon would jump out of the transformation and cleave 6 times with a lot of force through the gigantic insects. He would bash through them with his <Calamity Disaster> sword art, taking them down into the yellow of their HP while Macradon was still perfectly unscathed. Balthazar would try to scout out any other weak points Macradon might try to aim for so it would be easier to aim for the heads of the creatures, but it didn’t seem like there were any other than their small heads, protected at the sides by the legs and the front and top by their stinger. < Disguise Activated > ID: 77409 BD: 2+3+1=6, Hit! Macradon 0 Posted February 16, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted February 16, 2017 (edited) Macradon would swoop by their stinger and unleash yet another sword art, the <Calamity Disaster>. It was his strongest AOE attack he had in his arsenal, but it was still not enough to take them out, he needed what seemed like three of them to take out the monsters. The attack was simple, but powerful. 6 feral swipes at the targets with added power to really amp up the damage that would be dealt, but it was still nowhere near the damage many other frontliners could dish out with their Darkened weapons. Even though his sword was Tier 3, it still did the exact same damage as the Scarecrow’s Sickle even if it was Tier 2. The damage slots were only two on the Ancient while Sickle had 3. It evens out with the possibilities Sword of the Ancients has with its paralyze and partial phase, but it was still lacking in damage compared to ther weapons. ID: 77410 BD: 5+3=8, Hit! Macradon 0 Posted February 16, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted February 16, 2017 (edited) Macradon would quickly notice now that he was so close to them all, he could make a horizontal sweep to take out the heads all in one attack. With a quick stance activation, Macradon had placed his sword at his hip leaning down on the ground. It would glow as Macradon’s body was guided by the Cardinal system as the sword would cleave twice in a blink of an eye, killing the Leaf monsters with a quick one two combo. He would let out a heavy breath as he would stick his sword down into the ground and lean up against it as he would get his breath again. Balthazar would begin to approach Macradon as the battle was over, the two would go to the corner and take a short rest. “We really need to find a way to clear monsters faster, maybe if I tracked some of these monsters we can find them faster and clear them out, maybe finding something we need?” he would ask Balthazar. The owlbear would screech and roar as an agreeing reply. ID: 77411 BD: 3+3=6, Hit! CD: 11, Recovery proc! MD: 7, Dead. Macradon 0 Posted February 16, 2017 Author #7 Share Posted February 16, 2017 (edited) Tracking was probably the way to go, now that he had gotten the skill. It was good to have when hunting monsters as it really helped him get going, striking down monsters quickly. If he were to look for monsters again, he needed to track them down to get that focused strike to take them down. If he were to take them down one by one, it would take way too long, so taking them down in groups of 4 would be faster, but would also take a lot of energy to do so. Sitting there, petting his small owlbear behind the head, rubbing below the feathers. “Alright, Bal, let’s get going again” he said, standing up, trying to see if he could find some distinctive clues left behind from the giant stinger leafs. “Hm …” he muttered from his mouth as he and Balthazar would scout over the ground, trying to see if there was anything to track from. Macradon 0 Posted March 4, 2017 Author #8 Share Posted March 4, 2017 (edited) Quote What/Who would you like to track? Spiny Leaf “Yes!” he said when the tracking screen would commence to show itself in front of him. He had found a small clue. A leaf left behind, like from its body or its camouflage. The name of the monsters were “Spiny Leaf”. A kind of insect that hid itself in plain sight as a leaf, but was more than capable of fighting then it actually came to it. Close Quarters combat was something they were pretty good at, which doesn’t seem common for a defensive bug that wants to hide from everything, but when you scale it up, you can probably imagine how dangerous they can become. Grabbing the left behind leaf he would begin to scan the area with his Search and Detect skill, finding footsteps of the giant leafy insects. He would follow them through the corridors of the Labyrinth, through the corners and cuts to finally come to an open room again. He would stand still, hoping the creatures hadn’t spotted him yet. Macradon 0 Posted March 4, 2017 Author #9 Share Posted March 4, 2017 (edited) Slowly with patience, Macradon would wait for the bugs to line up for his Sword Art so he could all get them with his initial attack. It did not take too long, only a few several seconds before they all lined up perfectly to be hit by Macradon’s Tempest. Taking his big slab of steel over his right shoulder, Macradon would have the pommel pointing forward, ready to smash it into one of the insects. Quickly rushing forward with his <Charge> skill he would smash the pommel straight into the one closest to Macradon. The force would create a shock wave, throwing back the Spiny Leaf with a lot of might. All of the bugs would be staggered, making room for Macradon to ready another Sword Art at them. Balthazar would screech out to Macradon, telling him where they would be taking most damage. “Alright!” he replied, ready to strike down these bugs. ID: 78720 BD: 8+3=10(11) Hit! Macradon 0 Posted March 4, 2017 Author #10 Share Posted March 4, 2017 (edited) Making a strong attack to take down the damned bugs. Macradon would throw a heavy AOE attack at them. Using his sword art <Calamity Disaster>, he would strike down the bugs to get a vantage point where they would be in low health in his striking range. His 6 heavy blows would known all the bugs down to yellow HP, maybe not low enough for him to really take down, unless he would get the critical strike. If he were to get a critical strike, he would be able to finish off the fight with much more harm to him. “Bal, stay ba-” Macradon would call out as he would make sure Balthazar wouldn’t be in any danger. Macradon 0 Posted March 4, 2017 Author #11 Share Posted March 4, 2017 (edited) The quick retaliation of the Spiny Leaves caught Macradon way off guard. He would be staggering from the heavy attacks and would again be attacked by the monsters. Trying to get back into the offensive side, Macradon would get his sword back into balance. “Arrrgh!!!” he roared, getting back to deal a lot of damage again, leaving the big bugs at red levels of health. They were slow now, weakened and dying, so was Macradon. The two sides were fighting closely against each other, Macradon only needed to get his Recovery to proc for him to defeat them, hoping that would work. His <Blast> sword art would take down the last bit of HP from the bugs he was up against. He smiled. He had cheated death again. He sat there, laughing maniacally. Balthazar would slowly try to approach Macradon, but it just seemed like he was getting mad. He had survived from a battle he shouldn’t have. He would lean back and lay down on the ground. “Hah .. ha ..” he said as he was exhausted, his energy had been down to 0, slowly gaining energy again. “I won’t die today, not like this” he said. He would think of what just happened. “I should probably grab a potion the next time, something like a health potion so I won’t get this close to dying again” he thought, looking over at Balthazar that was slowly approaching him. Getting ready to go further, he would stand up, but his body wouldn’t let him. He didn’t feel pain in here, it wasn’t a part of the game at all, but he still felt … physically exhausted, probably because of his energy gauge hitting 0. It was taking its toll on him, being battered and all. He would lay down together with Balthazar, the two relaxing for now. “We can track them again … but let’s wait until I have full HP and energy” he said with a faint smile. He had to get out rolling again, but relaxing here was much better than having to go out frontlining again. Macradon 0 Posted March 4, 2017 Author #18 Share Posted March 4, 2017 (edited) Rushing in to take advantage of the situation, Macradon would ready his attack and do once again, a spin around to grasp the momentum he could create with his big two-handed sword. The strong upwind would clash with the big leaf bug. His strong single strike would make it stagger back, this time not a full stun or paralyze, but strong enough to knock it off balance. Macradon was ready to execute a <Straight> sword art which would make him lunge forward, and attack the big bug. All he had to do was to set it all up so he could finish this combat quickly and get to the next, slowly, but surely, clearing the amount of monsters he need for him to be able to reach the Labyrinth end with map fragments. Thinking of how great it would be to be able to clear this floor and then get on with it. ID: 78761 BD: 5+3=8, Hit! CD: 10, Recovery Proc! MD: 5, Miss. Macradon 0 Posted March 4, 2017 Author #19 Share Posted March 4, 2017 (edited) Getting his weapon ready, Macradon would point it at the lone wolf bug. With a quick movement, his sword would glow in extreme might as he would take a step forward and lunge in for a thrust at the bug, surely taking it out. With his <Straight> sword art, Macradon would impale the bug with his large steel slab of a sword. The big word would slice through the virtual pixels like nothing. The sword phase right through the leafy outside of the bug, taking out the armor like it wasn’t there at all. This strike would also paralyze the big monster which wasn’t necessary as it would explode into pixels, crystals and polygons, dispersed everywhere as it died. Looking at what was left behind, Macradon would grab the materials and the col, making sure he had as much currency as possible, in both ways that is. Having enough of both, Macradon would secure a stable income. ID: 78768 BD: 9+3=10(12) Crit +1! CD: 1, No proc. MD: 5, Miss. Macradon 0 Posted March 16, 2017 Author #20 Share Posted March 16, 2017 (edited) Quote What/Who would you like to track? Spiny Leaf Searching through the dungeon, Macradon would be weary if his one on four tactic was too dangerous for him to actually do. If the monsters would hit, they would deal massive damages, and he needed two hits to actually do something against them, of course he could take them on one on one, but that would take way too long and not be as efficient as he wanted it to be. He would shake that off his head as he would wander down the slender corridors of the big, long and stretched out maze. It was supposed to be difficult if anyone were to finally reach the boss that would have its room at the end. Macradon had cooperated in finding a boss room before, he even did it alone once. It wasn’t too difficult to do if you had the strength to do so, nor would it be too big of a hassle to do if it wasn’t for this giant maze … it’s like they just suddenly grew larger, at least from what Macradon had seen throughout his scouting. He would quickly switch over his sword over to the Scarecrow's Sickle for the bleed effect.
