Gem Harts is an acrobatic female in the Cirque du Soleil circus. She has been a member for the last fifteen years of her life. Her daring acts of splendor revolved around her in cat-girl makeup and death defying flips in the air with no safe drops below. She had earned quite a name for herself during her stage acts and she was known all around the world for her terrific acts. However, people only saw her as Miss Mestophales and rare did they see her without her makeup. Behind all that glam and body paint, was a woman named Gem, and she was quite a different woman than those who knew her by her stage name. Gem had been struggling with alcoholism for quite a long time in her life. Although she was able to function without it, the first thing she would do after a show was drink herself into her sleep. Gem was also a very depressed woman on the inside, she had experienced much of the world through the eyes of Miss Mestophales, but rarely did she get to go and meet with people on the outside world. She was constantly traveling and performing with her friends in the Circus; it was her job and it has been a constant job for as long as she could remember. 

But she struggled with depression and alcohol. The depression lead to pills and the pills lead to more alcohol which fueled more of her depression. She needed an out but didn't know how to get help. Rehab was out of the question, if anyone found out it could have ruined her reputation as well as the company. So she kept most of that bottled up inside of her as it slowly killed her. Her past is somewhat a mystery, Gem was an orphaned girl and was adopted at the age of five. She was a pretty little girl, adorable but she was very rowdy and rambunctious as well. At a very young age she was fascinated with felines. She had three cats when she was growing up and many more in her adult life. But she would climb trees and learn how to land on her feet like a cat, be stealthy and stalky, and then pounce on people randomly without them knowing. 

School life was a bit chaotic for her; being an average student at best Gem was not very serious about her studies. Her parents lectured her often about studying and making good grades, but she was far more interested in Gymnastics and vaulting. She would spend her after school activities just climbing and doing acrobatic flips until she landed perfectly. Soon she was being nicknamed Cat at school and eventually her unique personality was attracting boys and she was turning heads. That was her life in a nutshell. 

However, despite all this neat stuff, she was now a Performer in the Cirque du Soleil circus and she had a mountain of problems. On the rare occassion she was off or the Company was working on new gigs and in between touring, Gem found her apartment suit in a low rent ghetto region of Japan (cause I dont know ghetto area in Japan) and began to play MMOs to help meet people outside her industry. She just wanted friends! But she got more than she bargained for when she stepped into SAO. Now she was trapped but the best of all...she had an ENTIRE Tower full of people to meet! 
Virtues:

Sociable: Miss Mestophales is a social butterfly. She is a very personal girl who likes to break the space between herself and others. Often becoming too personal with people. She enjoys chatting, and doing weird things in awkward situations when she is being sociable. Sometimes she'll randomly stand on her hands and talk to people that way, or she'll be very touchy feely with her hands. She just enjoys being around people and talking with them!

Carefree and Adventurous: She is wild like a cat! She'll get into whatever weird mayhem and adventure she can get herself into and she will LOVE it. Heart stopping, adrenaline rushin' is the name of the game. Head first without any fear of the worst case scenario because she thinks she has 9 Lives like a cat. She will push others as well in an attempt to go adventuring, often utilizing whatever she needs to do to get the job done. 

Weirdo: You often don't see women painted up head to toe in cat-girl makeup. But Miss Mestophales does it pretty well. Replicating her act as the one and only in the Circus, she uses her appearance to stimulate conversation in people. She is often weird and becomes comedic to lighten up a serious mood, or becomes totally random and starts swatting at the air and shaking her butt around swinging her false tail around. She can be seen playing in the flowers one moment and running wild and free and zipping around doing something else- just for laughs. 

Flaws:

Mischievous: Mestophales is a natural prankster. She loves to get into trouble with people often fiddling with their gear or doing something odd. She can be somewhat dark at times with her humor as well, making her a very undesirable person to be around with sometimes. But it's mostly fun and games with her. SHe understands that this world has become a Game of Death, but she is gonna enjoy meeting and pranking people all the same. 

Pouncy: There is no denying that this woman is a trouble maker. She will randomly pounce on people and get a laugh of their expressive face when she lands on them, or is she falls face first into the mud and dirt. From the shadows she lurks at unsuspecting victims and when they have no idea that she is there it ends up being too late to do anything about it. She will leap from those shadows and pin down anyone she can get her hands on, but she wouldn't know what to do exactly from that point on. 

Flirty: Miss Mestophales loves interacting with people and she enjoys exploring relationships of all kinds. She is a very chatty woman, and talks about all sorts of things. She will talk about the weather, the air and the flowers, or the food or the stars. She gets very personable with people often breaking the fine line of boundaries. She likes to rub up against people, and uses her hands frequently when communicating. Sometimes people get the wrong idea about her and then...awkwardness.
