[PP-F1] Back to the Basics.

"So you guys up for getting the rare wasp dagger?" I ask my friends Miaki and Keith who decided to join me on this little endeavor.Crap... the quest says four people minimum. "Umm we need four people guys, wanna try to find a low player to join us?" I say looking around the starting town square.

[Miaki 0]

Miaki shrugged standing beside the two. "Sure, sounds like a plan." He put his hands in his light brown trench coat. "Shouldn't be all too difficult to find someone on this floor considering things. How do you wanna go about this? I mean were three higher leveled players just standing here, think that's enough to draw attention from a low level and interest them in wanting to talk to us? Or should we just look for someone with potential to them?"

I see the group of higher level players just standing there in the middle of the square, already about 10 low level players start walking toward them. I roll my eyes and lay back on the bench. My black trench coat draped over me, (Character desc. --->) I'm wearing a black trench coat, rugged black jeans, gray t-shirt with a black vest, and black shoes, my brown hair messy but still looking okay and my eyes tired but alert. "Moths to a flame." I mumble to myself as I push my self off the bench and start walking the opposite way.

Keith scratched his neck as they attracted other players. Keith didn't like the attention, and as he tried to squirm out from the groups he saw a player over against a bench, looking bored enough to sleep, if not already. Keith looked over to his pair of level 8 friends and motioned over at the dude on the bench. "Hey guys! That fella over there seems pretty reliable."

I start backing up slightly with all the new people surrounding us."Hey guys! That fella over there seems pretty reliable."I look over at the bored looking kid who started walking away."How about him guys." I whisper to Miaki and Keith as another two low levels came up to us.

[Miaki 0]

"Works for me." Miaki said silently in reply. He waved over the guy who was walking over from the bench. "Hey there. Would you be interested in joining us for a little bit? I'm Miaki and this here to my left is Clarence and Keith Yudai. Mind telling us your name?"

[Clarence 0]

I quickly turned around, confused that they would be talking to me."Excuse me? You want to have me join you guys. Also, I'm Christopher." I say, walking toward the high level players. As I approach the group I can feel eyes of hatred from the low level players."Ass Hole." I hear someone whisper and a couple of people laugh. I give those three people terrible looks and say."Don't insult yourself dear, its not good for character." The three glare at me and walk away."So... what are we going to be doing today?" I ask the three.

Keith put his arm around Christopher and smiled. "Well alright! I guess this makes us a team!" He said, as he sent out party invites to the other three players. "Well where's this dagger, Clarence? We got all the people we need so let's head on off to where you need to go."

I scrolled through my map and found the Hive cave. I send the other three people the map data and accept the party invite."Okay, even though the boss is on Floor 1. The boss is pretty difficult. The Wasp can have a paralyzes effect though." I look over at Christopher and his strange weapon choice."Haven't seen a bow before." I mumble to myself and start walking toward the cave.

"Well then let's find this Hive Cave." Miaki brought up his inventory and check that everything was in order. Satisfied he nodded and the group started moving out of <>. Not long after passing through the city gates, Miaki produced a <> from underneath his cloak. He unscrewed the cap and took a quick swig of the contents inside. Tensing up briefly from the burning sensation of alcohol going down his throat. "Welcome to the team by the way Christopher."

"Thanks." I say and smile at Miaki and the rest of the gang.Wow I can't believe they actually asked me to join them.I think to myself as I draw my bow, notch an arrow, and put myself at high alert of any possible enemy's. A couple minutes go by and nothing is really happening."So..... why did you guys ask me?" I look up at the three, intrigued and confused at their team mate choice.

Keith thought for a bit and tapped his chin. "Well... I dunno. I guess you just kinda seemed left out over there all by yourself. So it just seemed right that we kinda bring you in, help get you started." He said with a smile. "So how 'bout it? You read for an awesome adventure?"

For me I guess it was that well... all those people who swarm us is very annoying. People who don't really care about higher levels is my kind of friend." I say and smile at the new adventurer friend."Okay so the wasp cave has a-lot of secret passage ways, so it will be difficult to find where to go, also a-lot of traps." I say, warning everyone.

[Miaki 0]

Miaki put away the <> and put his hands into the pockets of his trench coat. "For me I suppose it was just to have a new face around. I feel it is kinda important to get back to the basics every once in a while. And working with someone who is getting themselves started works well for something like that." He considered Clarence's warning. "Looks like that detection skill of yours will come in handy."

I smile and look at the three.Wow, I'm genuinely happy, one of the first times ever in this game, Suddenly a thought struck me and I practically fall over in my realization."Wait a minute, your Sonus Silentii Clarence, Front Liner Miaki, and well I know who you are but I don't feel comfortable saying the words that people talk about you with." I smiled that I was apart of three very popular players that have been talked all about all through out floors 1-3.

Keith chuckled and scratched his neck with a smile. "Hehe... I wouldn't say I'm that popular, but it's nice to get recognized." Keith put his arm around Christopher's shoulders and smiled. "Heck, maybe you'll be even as strong as us some day!" He said happily as he nodded to Clarence. "Lead on!"

"Eye Eye Captain." I say with a smile and go back to leading the group through the forest. A few minutes past by again with is more awkward silence."So... anyone have some good stories to talk about?" I ask, hoping to spark a conversation.

[Miaki 0]

"Hmmmm well I have a short story I've been working on in one of my journal entries." Miaki said as he opened up his GUI menu and opened a text entry that took the form of a small manuscript that materialized in his hands. "You guys can tell me what you think of it."

As I'm reading it I slowly start to smile, realizing what its from."Wow.... Halo nice dude." I say and smile, realzing its the video game I love the most!

Keith listened to them talk as the group kept walking. Keith noticed a large... Beehive... Shape in the distance. He slowed down to an eventual stop and everyone else followed his example. "Alright guys... You ready for this? Get your gear ready now, because there's no turning back once we're in."
